Since switching to Mavericks, any window that I'm in keeps being put into the background. Is anyone able to help me with this??

Contracts - 'Document still being processed in the background; try again la

Hello,
When trying to make adjustments to multiple contracts we are receiving the error message 'Document is still being processed in the background; try again later.' We have tried again later to no effect.
Ultimately, this means that these contracts (30 altogether) cannot be altered in anyway i.e. held, deleted, released, approved and it means that they just sit there.
This also has implications when raising another contract to replace these contracts. For example if you want to use the same vendor this will cause great confusion for our users when trying to select the correct correct to spend money against when raising purchase orders. Often the result is the user selecting the wrong contract.
Have you any suggestions on why this error message is appearing?

Reproducing the Issue
Create or change a document in SRM.
Cause
*Not possible to identify root cause without further deeper analysis
Resolution
Find the object guid of your SRM document via transaction BBP_PD.
Then display the relevant workflow instance via transaction SWI6 using the following steps:
Select BOR object type.
Enter your object type.
Enter your guid (or document number in the case of shopping cart) in the Key field.
Select variant All Instances.
Select selection period All.
Hit execute.
Click on icon 'Display workflow log'.
Click on icon 'List with technical details'.
Click on icon 'Print Log'.
Record the date and time of the very last step in the workflow log.
Using the date and time of the last workflow step, here are some transactions that can be used to investigate the root cause of the problem.
SM58 - check for stuck remote function calls
ST22 - check for system dumps
SM13 - check for stuck update requests
SM21 - check in the system log for anything unusual
SWUD - run a consistency check on the workflow
Enter the task number and hit enter e.g. 14000044
Choose 'Test Environment' and flag 'Including parts'
Execute
Choose 'Consistency check for components' and flag 'Including subworkflows'
Execute
Red lights indicate an error in the definition.

Hi guys.
I receive this error when wanting to Change a purchase order in SRM. The PO is already in R/3, and the user has tried to make the GR in SRM. This GR then failed in R/3 because of incorrect accounting data, so I changed this in SRM. Then the PO changed to status Awaiting Approval, but we do not use any workflow for approving POs. Plus when trying to change the PO I get the message Document is still being processed in the background; please try again later. Well, this has been there for over a week now, and I have searched both this forum and also SAP Notes, but cannot seem to find anything that helps me.
There are no locked entries in the BBP_WFLOCK table, just as there don't seem to be anything in the RFC queues. I have checked the SC, PO and Confirmation in the BBP_PD, but no news here.
Something that interested me though is that in BBP_PD for the PO it seems that there are 2 active versions...?
Any other idea as to how I can "release" this Purchase order again?

Hi,
Let me know the following things.
1. Do you see any approver in the approval preview of the purchase order , you have told that you are not using any workflows , but i wanted to make sure.
2.When do you get the message"document is still being processed in the background" ? is it when you change the purhcase order?
3) please have a look at the workflow log using the transaction 'SWI6', use the object type as bus2200 , use purchase order GUID and then see wether the setreleased has been run for the purchase order.
4) if the setreleased is not done , then you have to run the setreleased method for the purchase order.

I have activated workflow without approval for PO's (saved & changed: WS14000075).
Everything was working fine.. BUT.. For some reason, now some PO documents have the status "Waiting Approval", and if I try to edit them,I got the following message: "document is still being processed in the background"
How can I fix this ?

Hello Diego,
I've already seen this kind of pb.
You should navigate to the admin workflow runtime (menu swld) then administration --> workflow runtime, there is some usefull transactions.
First check the customizing (SWU3) and ensure that workflow runtime is ok.
Then try to restart wi in error (SWPR and/or SWPC) and check RFC transactions (SWU2).

Keeping apps on in the background for over 10 minutes?

Is this possible?
I use irc and some times i keep it ont he background for hours on my macbook pro but on the ipad it keeps saying i have to open it every 10 minutes otherwise it disconnects and other similar apps... i know its supposed to save battery but i really would like to keep it open non stop for as many hours as i like as i have a charger next to me that it can be plugged into...
I am trying to replace my macbook pro with the ipad for the summer as the macbook pro burns my legs after ages of using it even with a matt lap top thing to stop it burning my legs it just takes longer, but the only thing stopping me being able to do so is my downloads and the fact that irc keeps wanting to close after 10 minutes, it would be great if there was some kind of exeption list where it would just stay on for as long as i want.. is this possible?

This means that a user interaction via a notification is necessary or the iOS will terminate the app after 10 minutes.

My pictures are being placed in the inappropriate events; like laying on top of other pictures.

HELP and THANKS    I am in iPhoto. I have 29,000 pictures. I have about 1500 events. I have dragged a very few if these pictures from the internet. I have dragged one picture from Facebook, I have received eMails with pictures that I have put in iPhoto library. I have also brought pictures from the iPhone into my iPhoto library.
A problem has recently emerged. Three of the pictures which I have dragged into my iPhoto library have superimposed themselves upon photos which were already in the library. When I double click on any one of these three recently imported pictures to get an enlarged view of it, the picture that becomes enlarged is not the one that I just double clicked . . .it is a pre-existing photo in my library. This phenomenon suggests to my mind that that the (recently imported) photo on which I just clicked has somehow superimposed itself over the pre-existing photo. ?????   What a strange dilemma!   HELP.
This is the problem and a recent problem. I have three separate pictures that I have brought into the library that are causing a problem. One is from the Facebook, one is from an eMail, one is from a library file that I bought online. They have perpetuated, that is they have placed themselves on top of other pictures in many events. The said pictures can be seen and have been renamed the file into which they are going and going and going. When I click on the said pictures up comes the original picture that has the event name. I have tried to trash the picture and bring back the pictures only to find the returning problem. Please someone please help. The problem is that one picture is superimposed upon another picture.
I took my computer to SimplyMac and they reloaded the thumbnails and said that would fix the probable. It didn't! Now what!

If Larry's suggestion doesn't help the situation Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
     User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Lion, Mt. Lion or Mavericks delete the contents the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If you're running Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

Are you running 10.6 Snow Leopard as your profile indicates?
If so, it sounds like maybe an Expose or Active Screen Corners issue?
Go to Apple > System Preferences > Expose & Spaces > Expose and
1. experment with the Active Screen Corners selections
2. take a look at your F key settings for Expose
3. lastly check your Dashboard settings

Memory Cap for a Windows Service to run in the background all the time on Windows 8.1 Device

I have a Windows Store app that would run on a 2GB windows 8.1 Pro tablet. I want to create a service that would run in the background and more than one store app can utilize that service. The question I have is , is there any memory usage limit for the
service to run on a 2 GB RAM tablet?
I am expecting that the service might use 900 MB of RAM when its operational .

Hi,
For this situation, it seems that you create a wcf service and host the service on windows service which is running on the 2GB windows 8.1 Pro tablet. And other store app in the tablet can utilize that service.
If you want to limit the memory usage for the service, it's recommended that you could host the wcf service on other machine, such as a computer. You just call the service from the store application if you want to invoke the service.

Keep app running in the background

I am building my first app using adobe flash, and i have a problem. My app has a timer event to it, that calls a function with some code every second. When i click the "home" button on my iphone and the app goes to the background, the timer event is no longer executed every second. I want my app to keep going all the time, how can i do that?

AIR on iOS provides support for executing short task (around 10 minutes) in the background. If you want to execute short task in the background, executeInBackground property needs to be set to true. Try #5.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

A tab keeps playing audio in the background even when I select a different tab

I think that it would be a cool feature when I'm using the tabbed browsing if when I changed tabs from one with some type of background sound to a second one without, that the background sound would mute once I switch to the second tab. This occurred to me while browsing a flash-enabled site and then switched the tab to something else (academic text c.f) and the little "clicky" sounds continued as I reviewed the article. It was a little annoying.

You can try the Safari dropdown menu to Clear History and Website data.

Firexfox doesn't shuts even if i close the window; it keeps running silently in the background and takes a huge CPU and compells me to close the program from task manager.

why do i have to close firefox from the task manager. closing the firefox window doesn't stop the program from running.

Why 2 numbering systems for firefox & why do themes keep being broken by the next version ?

WTF! Can designers/coders not use the target version ie - v21, v22, v23... rather than some internal numbering system ONLY known to them ie - v3, v4, v5, v6 ????? This is confusing to a none insider, and honestly do NOT care one damn bit to know, just want to use the software - KISS, Keep It Simple Shitheads !
Why can a theme not last but 1 version before being obsoleted ? Are you telling me that themes code are the cause of all the bugs being fixed or security issues, how screwy is Firefox code ??????? If true then get rid of themese and make the default a hell of a lot better looking !!! Default looks like shitty IE !!! And that is NOT a good thing! Have some pride, dont copy IE!!

If Mozilla copied IE, we wouldnt have themes.

SQL window keep scrolling down to the last line

Is there a setting that will keep the SQL window from always scrolling down to the last line in the window? This feature is very annoying when trying to review code that is longer that the window size.

You'd have to give more details as to what's your environment and what exactly is failing, but FWIW my tables' SQL tabs behave the same as all others; they start up scrolled up, and can be scrolled as you whish...
