Cursor cant be placed in google

Please help! Im using the latest version of Firefox on my Mac...
Tonight ive been doing some internet searches via Google. As usual, i tend to search for a term, click a suggested link, then browse back to my search results and amend the search terms in the toolbar to narrow it down a little.
For some bizarre reason though everytime i go back to the Google page tonight it refuses to let me place my cursor in the search box! It also doesn't let me highlight anything on that page, or right click at all for more options.
I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is happening but it is seriously annoying. Any help would be much appreciated, its driving me up the wall.

The same thing has just started happening to me tonight but on Windows XP and 7.
One difference is that if I right click on the search box it places the cursor at the end of the line and I can type or move the cursor with the arrows on the keyboard.
I've also noticed that if I click on the back button again (returning to the Google homepage) and then click forward it's OK. It also seems to sort it if I click "next" for the next page of results then click the back button (either on the Firefox toolbar or on the "previous" link in Google).
Making Google render the page again seems to clear it and the problem only seems to manifest when you leave Google and return to it so it looks like Google have changed something as I'm not aware of applying any Firefox updates tonight. I was initially suspicious of Windows updates I'd just applied but if it's also happening Mac that seems to rule them out as well.

You may see one folder in there and that's the one you want. If you see more than one, look for the one with the most recently modified files.

How do I stop all the text being selected in the Google search box when I click in it? I just want the cursor to be placed where I click so I can edit the search field.

If I want to select the whole field I am happy to double click, or tab into the field. More often though I want to refine my search, or correct a spelling mistake.

Why does my cursor keep disappearing in the Google search bar?

When using FF or Google Chrome, I've noticed that my cursor keeps disappearing when using the Google search bar. I've tried using all the about:config tips, I've downgraded to earlier versions, I've pressed F7, I've unchecked the "hide cursor while typing" option in my mouse properties, I've checked for driver updates, I've tried disabling all add-ons and plug-ins, and I've checked another computer in our home as well. Same thing there. This seems to have become a problem in the last few days. IE seems unaffected by it. Just FF and Chrome.

No sir, there are no other tabs open, when it happens. For now, I've found a workaround, and I invite you to test it yourself.
I've been working on this problem all day. I've noticed that the cursor blinks very slowly in the Google search bar. If you press a key while the cursor is blinking "off", it will stay off until you let go of what key you're pressing. Conversely, if you press a key while the cursor is blinking "on", the cursor will remain visible as you type.
In IE, the cursor blinks much more rapidly, and blinks more "on" than "off." As a result the cursor remains on, no matter what you type or when, or what key you press, including the spacebar. This is not the case in FF or Chrome.
It was suggested in the Google forums that disabling "autocomplete" has helped with this problem. I followed the instructions and successfully disabled the "auto-complete" feature on Google. When I did that, I immediately noticed that the cursor blink speed doubled, like what I'm used to seeing. Further, no matter what I did, the cursor did NOT disappear anymore.

Go there and see if you notice a difference in the blink speed of the cursor. On my computer, the difference is drastic. While I do enjoy "auto-complete" and will miss this feature, I generally don't rely on it, and much prefer a consistent cursor.
I greatly look forward to your feedback on this. If you figure out a way to have Google work normally without this workaround, I will be forever in your debt.

Cursor does not blink in Google home page

Windows XP....Firefox 8....Google.ca is my homepage.The cursor in the search feild will not blink......Just a steady bar....If I type something in search feild ;it will search properly.I have the same homepage in Internet Exlorer and in Chrome and they both blink in the search feilds.

Cant sign in to google toolbar for firefox!

I run firefox 3.6.22
I Have the google toolbar installed
igoogle is my homepage
igoogle is signed in and when I start up firefox it starts up as it should and and logs in. On my home page I can access my mail etc.
The problem is that the google toolbar is no longer automaticaly signed in. When I try to sign in it acts as though it is signing in but it dosent. It dosent say that the pasword or user name is rong it seems like it is loging in and dosent notefy me of any problems.
I cant seem to fix this

Google changed the login domain for their '''accounts''', which broke the Google Toolbar. They're gonna need to fix the Google Toolbar extension, which probably won't happen because in July they announced they aren't going to support Firefox 5.0 and newer versions. But you can fix it yourself if you're a little familiar with programming.
With Firefox closed, open up toolbar.js in the Google Toolbar extension with a decent text editor.
Find:
www.google.com/accounts
and replace ALL with:
accounts.google.com
Start Firefox.
Login through the toolbar. Enjoy.

The cursor cannot be placed on the text at the bottom of the page

I have a very long document that I'm working on. The latter pages are behaving strangely. When I scroll down big blocks of grey appear between pages, when I try to place the cursor on a line of text at the bottom of the page it simply won't stick.

I am not sure what the problem is but it is something being reported by others.
Personally I do not trust longer documents in Pages, it may be advisable to break them up into smaller documents and simply continue the page numbers on in subsequent document.

I cant download docs from google docs

Hi community, i am using Documents App and i have a Google Docs account.
I make a .txt in my pc with windows, and i upload it to Google Docs.
When i try to download the .txt file to my iPad (using the native Documents "G" connector) the preview option is avaible, but the "Download" option is disabled!
This not occurs when i make an iPad .txt file and upload it...
Why?

I use firefox 29on mac since updade I cant use search bar/google. if type address inaddressbar ok. uninstall and reinstall does not help

I updated Firefox yesterday since than I can't do google search from searchbar. Most addresses when typed into addressbar directly are working but not all. All bookmarks are working fine.
If I type www.google.com in the address bar I'm forced to install flashplayer ( I will not!!)
If I however type in www.google.co.za i can serch in the folloing search window

Cant get on to google when surfing wirelessly

it just hangs and timesout other sites are fine so long as they have nothing to do with google,...however if i plug directly into my modem it works fine any ideas what is going here guys please help!!!!!!!!!!. i have a netgear router btw

I have recently noticing an increase in an error popping up - cant install to USB or SD card. Any one got a solution for that other than jailbreaking or rooting my phone to fix the issue?

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with downloading apps. We certainly want you to have the benefits available to you. Are you getting this error message when trying to download any particular types of apps? Normally this app is attributed to movable applications, which is not standard for all Android apps. How much internal and external storage do you have available? If you are low on internal storage that means you may have to delete non-used apps to create space for others. Keep us updated on this and we will make sure we get this all figured out.

Cursor can be placed inside a field marked as protected

Hi,
Even though i made a text box as protected i'm able to place the cursor inside the field (can't enter anything which is expected). Could someone help me out in this issue?

The only difference is the "protected" than "readOnly" is that the tab does not inside the field, only with tab.

I have a form,if in tabular form.
For Exp : if the user have done change in the 2nd record and click on save button.The cursor is going to the 1st record automatically.
After save also change also the cursor should be in the same changes record.

I have somehow got Ask toolbar& software and now cant,t access my google home page. I tried to uninstall it but it did not un install. How can I get rid of this so I can get back to firefox & google?
