Cursor clicking

my screen on my iphone 4 keeps clicking by itself opening up my applications, typing in wrong passcode when i slide through to type. also it types thing by itself, it also scrolls up and down very fast by itself, pls how do i corredt this. well i hvae restore my iphone but it still does the same thing.

I have not see this but at the same time I do not Screen Share as extensively as you seem to describe.
One interpretation I could out on this from what you have written is that not only is your girlfriend getting bored and wondering Off ( ) but her computer may also be going to sleep.
I have never waited long enough for one of my other computers to go to Sleep during a Screen Share to find out what happens.
1) does the Share Screen go dark ?
2) do you lose the connection as it closes the network ?
3) Is a Screen Saver starting that you can see ?
4) what does your girlfriend see when this happens ?
I would guess there is something about the VNC part of the iChat Screen Sharing that stops the Shared computer going to sleep.
However I am not sure if a Screen Saver can be active or if you are bumping into the time set for one to start.
I would also be interested in what the other computer is doing in a "behind the scenes" way.
Is something using up the Processor cycles and holding up the Share view as it were ?
I would guess her computer is doing something on it's own such as fetching Mail or similar or even the Time Machine Back up which can be known to cause the computer to be held up for a moment or two.

Need to click on desktop between cursor clicks when in firefox - can anyone help?

Most of the time I have to click on the desktop outside the firefox window in order to be able to activate any cursor commands within firefox
i.e. when I finish writing this I will have to submit it. In order to click any submit button I will probably need to move my cursor to the desktop, click it, then come back into firefox and click submit

Custom cursor click

I'm using this to create a custom cursor and to use a mouse click event on a movieclip:

At first it didn't work for me, but I found out that was because the custom cursor was over its registration point. Which was made equal to the mouse's location. So when the mouse was clicked on the movieclip-button, it was actually clicking on the custom mouse cursor itself, so the click on the 'volgendePijlClip movieclip wasn't picked up on.
I solved it by moving the custom cursor slightly away from it's registration point, so it would appear slightly of mouseX/mouseY. Close enough to act as cursor, but away of the cursor enough so the hidden mouse cursor could pick up a click on 'volgendePijlClip'.
Was wondering if there still was a way for a custom cursor to be over it's registration point and have the hidden mouse cursor still pick up on clicking on objects beneath the custom cursor?

assign its mouseEnabled property to false:
cursor_mc.mouseEnabled=false;

Trackpad cursor clicks somewhere other than where I'm clicking

I have a macbook pro OS X 10.7. About 10% of my trackpad "clicks" end up activating something other than what I'm clicking on. For example, I go to click a link on a webpage, and as I'm depressing the trackpad, the cursor jumps to my iPhoto application icon and activates iPhoto. I then force a quit to stop it. This happens about 10% of all clicks. Very annoying. I've contacted Applecare, they basically say it's one of those computer "glitches", so just live with it. Anyone have a solution?

Do you have another pointing device (tablet, mouse, anything) plugged in at the same time?
Mac OS X uses "all devices active" philosophy. You ARE using any other devices you have plugged in.

Mac Cursor click point

It has bothered me for a long time that the click point on the mac cursor is on the inside of the cursor and not at the point like the windows cursor. Is there any way to modify the cursor on a mac? I dont like the click point on OS X. Maybe there is an app that can do it which i haven't seen yet, in which case please provide a link if possible.

Pinpoint- Used to create animations around the mouse, and maybe custom cursors. But I'm ignorant of how to use quartz composer to make my own cursor to use in the app.
MoundoMouse- Used to resize and move windows with mouse movements (w/o actually clicking the window) ...Might keep this one for the ‘window focus follows mouse’, reminded me of the old UNIX box I worked on for a few years. The mouse focus can be very handy.
SteerMouse- Used to add more control to unsupported mouses and extra control over tracking/acceleration and cursor snapping to buttons. ...Might keep this one. Hopefully I can turn down the horizontal scrolling speed of the scrollball... always seems way to fast. Not sure as it needs a restart, and I'm converting vids...

Mouse pointer/cursor clicking fails while screen sharing in Messages & iChat

Has anyone else had this problem?
My work partner is sharing her screen using iChat on OS 10.6.8 and I'm controlling it with Messages on OS 10.8.3 - usually working on Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
Every few minutes or so, I lose the ability to click anything on her screen. Audio/video works fine, and my keyboard commands run fine on her computer, I can usually even move the pointer fine but, clicking my mouse or trackpad has no affect on her computer. This is sometimes accompanied by a flashing stalled pointer.
We can usually fix it by having her click her mouse/trackpad a couple times and then I can continue with clicking again from mine.
But, sometimes she's not at the computer so there's no way for me to recover screen share clicking when her computer is unattended.
We both have high speed internet with 10+mb down and 5+mb up speeds.
I've also tried it with bluetooth off and still have the same problem.
Does anyone know how to recover from failed mouse clicking during screen sharing?

Lenovo T61 laptop - Touchpad cursor click action not working

My Laptop is just 1.5 yrs old. I directly ordered from lenovo website.
I recently noticed that my mouse touch pad doesnt work. I tried all below options
1. updated the mouse driver
2. uninstalled and installed mouse driver freshly from lenovo website
still no use.. I am finding it difficult, i didnt a solution for it, i am currently using the USB mouse to use the laptop.
Any help inthis regard is highly appreciated. Thanks.

i had the same problem. what solved this for me was to simply go to device manager and under mice and other pointing devices uninstall the touchpad, i had a usb mouse handy just in case i needed it, but then i restarted the laptop and it auto reinstalled touchpad for me and then all options worked on startup.

How do I stop the cursor from having a mind of its own?

I just received this computer T400. A mac user wswitching over to pc - not famliar with the land. I am using a notebook and the cursor clicks on its own when I let it rest and then transports me to whatever information/page that it happens to rest upon. needles to say this is very tiring. I have tried to go to the help section and there is not informaiton about how to stop this from happening. There is informaiton for mouse control. The information I found on the cursor only spoke to the rate of blinking.
also, I would like to incluse word in my start up programs and can't figure out how to do that.
the cursor information would be most useful to me at the moment. Thank you.

onlinebabe, welcome to the forum,
you probably need to turn off or adjust the sensitivity of tapping in the UltraNav Touchpad properties. Go to Control Panel > Mouse and select the UltraNav tab and adjust the settings.
Do you mean that you want word to start automatically when windows starts? Right click in an empty area of the task bar and choose properties > Start Menu > Customise and add Word to your Autostarts folder.

Fatal Internal Error: "image.cpp", line 13192 when trying to insert a cursor to graph

I resolved the "Fatal Internal Error: "image.cpp", line 13192 when trying to insert a cursor to graph", but would like to share to find out if others have seen this and to determine whether this is a bug, or if it's time to redo my PC, or buy a new one..
I have an existing graphs (qt 6) which originally had 2 cursors. This occurred while trying to add the third cursor.
Up until attempting to add the last cursor, the program worked great, and I had been running tests for a while. However, I do recall seeing this problem when creating the original cursors, but not to this extent. Plus I don't remember the original error message from that time.
I needed to add one more cursor to the existing graphs. As soon as I add a new cursor and set it's properties, I get a nasty error message and without warning LV8.2 simply closes itself (well, the only warning was the error message. Tried it 3 times, same result.
Here are the steps:
Shut down the PC, went for a coffee, rebooted the PC. Opened the LV project, opened the VI. Immediately went to the graph properties to add the new cursor by doing the following steps:
Right click graph indicator icon on block diagram.
Select Properties.
Click on cursor tab.
Click on Add
Select Cursor 2 (3rd one, newly created)
Change color
Select cursor as a line
Remove checkmark for "show cursor"
Click OK
I need to do this to 3 other graphs, same steps. And as soon as I get to the step before clicking OK, I get the error message.
I managed to get an additional one done, by immediately saving after each step (yep going in & out of the properties). But I've had this problem before when creating the first two cursors.
Is it a bug? Anyone else seen this? Using LV8.2. And the message is right about LOOSING ALL unsaved work!!!!
Here are more observations:
Tried creating a new one on the second graph. As soon as I clicked on the color, it crashed!

I observed the title bar after making changes to the properties. I noticed that 3 out of 4 times, while changing the properties of the graphs to include the cursor, and saving after each & every step, that there were no stars appearing on the title bar to indicate "unsaved changes". Saving was also much slower than usual. I suspect, the program never got to placing the star before saving occurred. However, I am noting everything.
After creating the cursors, saving was and is normal, and the program runs well..   I have run tests without problems.
Does anyone have a clue at what causes this? Has anyone seen this before?

Hi Donovan,
I can't remember seeing this elsewhere. When I get a chance, I'll create a new (blank) vi with new graphs and will repeat the steps.

How to set a busy cursor when the excel report pops-up(in Excel)?

I'm using LabVIEW 7.1 and Report Generation Toolkit for MS Office to build a VI. at the end of each session when the data in a certain peroid of time was collected, the data will be transmmited to Excel report. the problem is during the poping-up of Excel report, if the cursor clicks inside Excel accidently, all the collected data will disappear and the blanks in Excel will no longer be filled automatically. I have tried to use Set Busy.vi, but it only works in VI panel, not in Excel. Will someone please help me?

Change busy cursor

Hi guys,
I am trying to change app's busy cursor, but haven't been successful yet. I have create a .swf file that work fine. Next I tired the following code in my application init fuction

but this does not do anything. I am using showbusycursor="true" on all my RPC calls, and some depending on the query could take a sec longer. I just want to override the animated clock with my .swf through out the app.
Any pointer? I have spend about a day and half but no luck. I understand that CursorManager.setBusyCursor() will actually show the cursor, which is not what I want since I don't make a call to show busy cursor explicitly

Hi,
Just override the default cursor after you call your process, then on complete clear the cursor.
The following example will set the cursor to a custom cursor, note that by setting the custom cursor the busy cursor will be over riden (in this particular case even if you try to set the busy cursor after the custom cursor).

Custom Cursors- drawing bitmaps?

Hello everyone,
I went on to www.youtube.com and found a tutorial to set up
custom cursor using the actionscript(2.0) on the actualt movie
clip(which was my cursor):
onClipEvent(enterFrame)
_x=_root._xmouse
_y=_root._ymouse
And the actionscript on the acutal frame:
Mouse.hide()
This code sufficiantly replaced my mouse with my movie clip,
but I noticed when i moused over my button, they did not show the
same mouse over that I had with the normal mouse.
Another thing I could like to acomplish is, when my custom
cursor click anywhere in the flash movie, it overlays a bitmap(an
image(a .jpeg)) on that instance of that flash movie. I've seen it
done before in flash sites that allow that user to create things
such as characters or art. I know it's posible, but I've searched
all of the internet and have gained no fruit from it.
If anyone would be so kind as to show me how to go this, or
even simply point me to a link. I would be very greatful. If I do
get it working, I'll be sure to share it with the community, as
what I'm gonna use it for is pretty cool in my opinion.

it didn't work.
How do I insert a link to download my flash file so that
someone can see waht's actually going on?
Also,
I'm having trouble with button events.
I entered some code in the actions palette after clicking on
the button in the stage. The code was:

Simple enough right?
Well the frames didn't play, it glitched for a second,
teasing me as if it would, but didn't.
I got this compilke error:
Mouse events are premitted only for button instances.
This was the error I got from clbeech's code after inserting
it on the first frame in the actions layer.
Expected a feild name '.' operator.

Cursor Working About 4mm Below Where it Should?

Hi there.
Pretty simple issue, though infuriating nonetheless - no matter what tool i use, or how zoomed in i am, the cursor clicks approximately 4mm below where it should - very annoying for intricate work.
Anyone know how to solve this, it's Photoshop CS4 on a Mac and it's only recently started to do it.

Cheers, i did read that but it sorts it only only momentarily. It just returns to doing it pretty much immediately after.
Additionally, when i select areas of an image, say with the lasso tool, randomly selected square areas appear which i then have to deselect.

when I open a page, i.e. Bose the most recent. I can't access the links on the page. The cursor clicks the header grays out bit does not leave the original page
