Cursor continuously scrolling to the right

Last night i downloaded the latest Ipod update and when i went to install it some funky and weird stuff started happening on my mac. Its almost as if my spacebar is continually being pressed and i cant type anything. I tried deleting the update as well as rebooting but as soon as the mac starts up the problems occurs. Its so bad now that i cant even type in my password to log into my mac. If anyone can hlep it would be appreciated, As i said its almost as if my spacebar is being pressed the whole time. Ive tried checking if any of the keys are depressed but i cant see anything noticable. I opened up a text doc and no characters show up but the cursor just scrolls to the right.

Hmmm there might be ill have to check when i get home. Didnt think of that but thanks for your help. Ill keep you updated.

How can I see the entire mail message without making it smaller font and not having to scroll to the right?

when i open a message in hotmail i have to scroll to the right to see the entire sentence. I did not have to do this before what has changed? Me or you?

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause such issues.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

Text does not move to a new line, I have to scroll to the right???

In Safari and Firefox browsers when looking at some webpages the text is one long line and I have to scroll to the right to read everything. How do I restore the text so it goes down instead of across?
I searched for wrap text but could not find anything.

It seems to be site formatting. I get it all the time in these forums when someone posts a crash log. The lines don't wrap and spread it out sideways.
My WAG; we just have to live with it. :~(

The DIV above it with the ads have floating elements. In such a case you need to add a clearing DIV to prevent content from being placed to the right of it. You can either add an extra DIV with style="clear:both" under the last DIV.ai (preferred). In that case you need to remove the height:35px from the containing DIV as well (width: 750px; height: 35px;). Or you can add the style="clear:both" to the DIV with the shifted content (<nowiki><div style="text-align: center; clear:both"></nowiki>).
You should always be careful with specifying the height. It is always better to let the browser do this in case of increased font sizes or other changes made by visitors.<br />

CS4: Can't scroll to the right past 3900 in IDE

I've imported a large bitmap into my movie. It's over 5000 pixels wide. I need to place some shapes over it, but Flash refuses to scroll to the right past 3900 pixels. Is there anything I can do?
I've tried positioning the bitmap at x=-2000, but I get the error "Invalid size and position" (which, incidentally, I get a lot -- many of my bitmaps end up on a fractional pixel and when I try to change the properties to put them on a whole pixel, this error message occurs).

Freezing the Name column of the hierarchy when scrolling to the right.

In UCMON, the keys of the org hierarchy are frozen when you expand the task columns and scroll to the right. That way I could still see the keys of the organizations when processing the tasks far on the right.
How do I do the same for the names column? Is there a way to have the names column frozen as well so that I could still view the names next to the keys when processing those tasks?
Any advice is appreciated.

Scroll to the right and center on the player

I'm making a platform game. My game level is very large and I'd like to make the gameLevel scroll when the player is walking.
So far it's scrolling, but the scrolling speed is not fast enough and when the player is walking to the right, he goes out of the screen.
Do you know how I can speed up the scrolling in order to prevent the character to exceed the middle of the screen ?
Here's my code for the scrolling screen :

it looks like you want easing so scrolling slows as stagePosition nears an edge. if so, you can use:
var speed:Number = something between 0 and 1 (closer to 1 is slower, closer to 0 is faster)
gamelevel.x = speed*gamelevel.x+(1-speed)*an edge;

What will keep my screen (not the cursor) from scrolling to the top?

My laptop screen constantly scrolls to the top whether I'm in e-mail, the web, or any documents. I tried Internet Explorer with the same results. Does anyone have a suggestion?

How do I configure Firefox to autofit webpages (i.e. so I don't have to scroll to the right to see everything) and display all webpage content?

I'm doing some maintenance on an old Dell Dimension 1100 (service tag: JGFN291, all drivers updated) for a friend, and I installed the new version of Firefox. Webpage graphics / backgrounds will not display, and the text on all webpages displays too large; I have to scroll to the left to see everything. How do I configure Firefox to automatically display all webpage content properly? It's probably due to the age of the PC and monitor (I think Noah took a pair of these on the ark with him back in the day), but I was hoping there was some other workaround for it. Any and all help is appreciated!

Interactive Form jumps back to the cursor when scrolling with the mouse

In an interactive form over multiple pages, the user should enter some fields and will then scroll down - usually with the mouse's scrollwheel. As long as the cursor is in an active field, adobe reader keeps jumping back to the place the cursor is active... So it is not possible to scroll down.
Scrolling down by sidebar works fine.
As a workaround, I can place the cursor outside of any entry field (just by klicking any text within the form) and scrolling down works fine again.
I guess this is a "feature" and not a bug - but it is driving our users crazy!
Any suggestions or ideas about how I could get scrolling to work will be highly appreciated.

I am using 8.2.3 ADLC with 9.X reader (for sure this may not be any version dependent as such)
I didn't find any such behavior, and I never heard about it earlier.
Some how I feel this is not a feature nor bug in adobe, its something with your form. may be there is a set focus cdoe somewhere or so.
can you send me the form to test it in my local pc ...?

Hi Aish I tried that it did not work though. I found out what was causing it though. if you checked out the site given above, the top image of those logs is longer than the browser, that way it can display for all sized screens. I resized that to fit the exact width of the page but it always comes out smaller. I updated the site so that way you can see what I am talking about. Thanks, Russ

I am trying to mirror my iPad 2 with my Apple TV . I hit the home button twice, scrolled through the app icons but still do not see the air play icon? I did check to confirm that both devices are on the same network.

Yes they are both on the same network and I enabled air play on the TV. I finally located the icon on my iPad last night and succeeded in mirroring. It seems the instructions from apple were confusing me. They said tap the home button twice and then scroll to the right. The icon however is on the left side of the screen and shows as what I would call a button as opposed to an icon, located among the buttons of a mini player. Anyway, found it last night and now am enjoying the mirroring feature. Thanks for all the help.

With a high volume of tabs, scrolling to the end of the tab list often resets to the first tab

When using a large number of tabs, around 300 inactive and 30 active tabs, when the currently selected tab is a tab on the far left side of the tab bar, attempting to scroll to the end (far right) side of the tab bar will often cause scrolling to freeze momentarily, and then reset to far left, to the currently selected tab, and continues scrolling from the beginning of the tab bar, making it unnecessarily difficult to scroll to the end of a long tabs bar.
This occurs when scrolling up/down with the scroll-wheel on a mouse, when scrolling up/down/left/right on a touchpad, and when scrolling using the left and right scroll buttons in the tab bar.
