How much hard drive space do you have? Try installing the iTunes full installer - http://www.apple.com/itunes/overview/ repair permissions and restart your computer afterwards.

It came to my attention there a new program working with itune since last update named Apsdaemon.exe its been using 99% of my processus when its active.
Any idea why so much and will it be fix eventually because before last update i never encounter any issue using Itune? Now when that aplication or extention from Itune is working my computor froze to a huge alt. I play video games online and love listening to my music with itune playing in the background and normally was able to have firefox open and a program called ventrillo all working at the same time and now i can barelly have itune and play a game. As soon it start been choppy i just control alt delete wait 5 minute to close down apsdaemon.exe when i'm capable most of the time i have to restart my computor. And why is it so Heavy consuming on the process its memory utility is under the 100ko i believe so why 99% of my processus is been use ?
a good exemple i could give is itune.exe working it shows process 02% for 123 000ko that is light and perfect.

Wow, Karan Taneja, you've just embarrassed yourself on a worldwide support forum.  Not only is your post ridiculous and completely inappropriate for a technical support forum, but it also shows your ignorance as to whom you think the audience is.  Apple is not here.  It's users, like you.
If you would have spent half the time actually reading the Terms of Use of this forum that YOU agreed to by signing up to post, as you did composing that usesless, inappropriate post, you (and the rest of us on this forum) would have been much better off.

  • Help syncing with iTunes Outlook To Update iCloud

    Hello Apple Community,
I have iPhone 4s and have just started to use iCloud. Can somone please tell me the best way I can use iTunes to sync to my Outlook Calendar & Contacts and then back this data to iCloud?
Forgive my lack of knowledge about this. I have always synced to iTunes for my Outlook Calendar & Contacts, but never sent this data to iCloud. Recently I lost all my Contacts & Calendar on the iPhone b/c I lost my PC hard drive (and to keep this story short) led to this new route of sending everything to iCloud.
I have searched for a few days but haven't found Tutorials on how to do this as yet.
So essentially what I am looking for is getting my Calendar and Contact data through iTunes to my iPhone and then send both the Calendar and my Contacts to iCloud.
If anyone can help me with this process I would be very appreciative hearing from you.
After the experience of losing everything and not being the sharpest person when it comes to understanding these things. I very much appreciate your help.

I've got similar problems with my old desk top running on Vista home premium, The problem started just recently (this year) and after iTunes had been updated. For two years I was syncing my Iphone 4S with Outlook 2007 with no problems. It just so happened that my wife's loptop was no longer reliable, so I bought her for Christmas a MacBook Air. After settng it up for her I realized the benefits and convenience having her Contacts, and Caleder on the icloud. She also has an iPhone 4S. I then decided to try and set up icloud with my desktop's oulook and my  iphone. At first it seemed that it was working although I felt something was not the same as before. It did not take long to realize that something undesirable was going on with my desktop. I could not figure out what. Looking into it I saw that iCloud (at least the latest version) could only be used with Windows 7 and 8. Having Windows Vista I proceded to remove iCloud from my desttop. In the process, to make a long story short, I had to remove iTunes and reinstall it without the iCloud. I found out removing iTunes is not as easy as it sounds. If you ever need to look it up elsewhre in this website, it requires a specific order of removing the components. By the way removing iTunes does not remove the Libtrary of songs (in my case a couple thousand). With the fresh installation my songs came back which made me happy. Reseting the fresh version of iTunes  to sync with my iPhone (not using the iCloud)  has not worked so far. Today is the second day working on it hope to get it going again.
By the way at one point I lost my contacts and calendar from my phone, however when I set the iPhone switches for iCloud all the contacts and Calendar data came back to my phone.

  • Sync not working with iTunes since new update 11.1.1.11

I'm not sure what Apple are playing at, Since the new update I have not been able to sync anything to my iPhone 4. I tried every single thing I could think of and also been reading on the various discussion boards.
Also has anyone else noticed that the iTunes store has been incredibly slow and sluggish for the past few months. I been on various windows machines and also my Macbook, the whole store has definitely slowed down, when you try to search or buy music. Finally I think the latest iPhone update looks and handles horribly. Shame Apple you are losing your mojo.....

    Hello dmartins1977,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with installing the latest iTunes update.  I recommend following the steps below:
    1. Remove iTunes and related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order. Then, restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components, may have unintended affects. If you encounter an error while uninstalling, try repairing the affected component:
    2. Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalledIn most cases, removing iTunes and its related components from the Control Panel will remove all supporting files belonging to those programs. To fully resolve these issues, manually remove any remaining iTunes-related folders listed below. On 32-bit and 64-bit systems:On 64-bit systems:
    3. Reboot your computer.
    4. Download the iTunes installer. When prompted to select what you want to do, choose to save it to your computer.
    5. Install iTunes.
Right click on iTunesSetup or iTunes64Setup.
Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: Select the 'Run as administrator' option.
Windows XP: Select the Open option.
    Finish installing iTunes.
I understand that you have already uninstalled iTunes, but it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.

  • How get around "Cannot connect with iTunes Store" when updating apps?

I have several Apps with updates indicated. When I select App Store, it goes to the updates but when I try to update, I get "Cannot connect with iTunes Store." But otherwise I can get to the iTunes Store itself. Where does "Report problem" appear? Not on my Touch (which is updated).

Try it from the computer that you sync with, then sync the updated apps over to the iPod.

  • Problem with iTunes and/or updater software??

I just bought a brand new 30gig iPod video. I followed apple's "instructions" and installed iTunes and the iPod software off of the included cd. I then connected my iPod and it charged but itunes never recognized it. Windows can find it (it appears as an external disk drive in my computer and iPod in other places) but iTunes doesn't recognize it at all. I have tried resetting the iPod, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes/ipod software using the install cd, i have tried downloading the latest software from apples website and installing it that way, I have tried everything but restoring the ipod because the updater software won't even work. every time I try to use it, it just says "Service Error". I really have no idea what to do. The iPod seems to work fine, it turns on, turns off, windows seems to recognize it, but iTunes won't recognize the iPod and the iPod updater software doesn't seem to work at all. The last thing I am going to try is wiping my computer harddrive (it needs it for other reasons, not just this iPod problem) and starting completely fresh with nothing or very little installed besides iTunes and the iPod software.

The article posted in the first response is a great place to start. If that doesn't work, try these out as well:

  • Having a problem with iTunes 10.7 update and syncing songs to my iPhone 4

Can anybody help me out please. I just recently downloaded iTunes 10.7 and whenever I try to sync songs to my iPhone 4 it freezes for about 5 minutes. I go onto my phone to check if the songs have been synced and it says they're there, however, they won't play. Instead of the song name being in a black coloured font it's kind of in a white/grey coloured font and you can't do anything with them. Does anyone know what the problem is? I tried uninstalling iTunes then reinstalling it but that hasn't worked either. I've also tried to reset my phone to its default settings, although the same problem occurs.

Have you tried rebooting your computer?

  • My iPod Touch 4g doesn't get recognized with iTunes anymore after updating it to IOS 6 on a diffrent computer but it still charges

Help me, how can I fix this?

AFAIK, downloading directly to the device is typically smaller as it only gets the stuff it needs for your specific device as oposed to the  full download  when downloading from iTunes.
Correct, no Siri for iTouch 4th gen.
The Maps app is there, but I moved it around, so I'm not sure where it is on your device, but its in there.
Safari is updated in iOS 6, your other apps should update in the App Store when their developers release updates, I've launched only a few apps so far, no problems with compatibility!

  • A required iTunes component is not installed 42404 with iTunes 10 after update

    Hi,
So I updated last night to the latest iTunes and now whenever I start the program I get this error:
A required iTunes component is not installed... - 42404...
I've tried uninstalling and deleting the iTunes preferences but it keeps on popping up. I can't sync my iPhone with it like this. Should I reinstall the Mobile Device stuff?
    Thanks

Sometimes this one indicates that your FairPlay is broken, but other components might be dodgy.
Let's try a complete uninstall/reinstall as per the following document:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
Does that help with your 42404?

  • Help with iTunes/iPhone/Software update

Hi all, I have a MacBook Pro and am running OS X version 10.5.8 on it.  However, when I plug in my iPhone 4GS in it now, it says that it can't be used unless I have the new version of iTunes (currently showing version of iTunes 10.6.3)--- however, when I check for software updates, nothing is coming up and it says everything is up to date.  If I directly try to download the newest version of iTunes, it says my OS isn't up to date...  This is something new that has occurred within the last couple of months.  I didn't have a problem with it before.  Help please!!!
    Thanks!
    Clueless Mac User

If you need the current iTunes 10.7, you'll need to upgrade to OS X 10.6. You can buy it online from the Apple store or call them, which in the US is 800-MY-APPLE.

  • Ipod4 syncs music incorrectly with itunes after ios5 update. Playlists list some songs which are greyed out and wont play. Suspect they werent downloaded as Ipod now holds 16 000 songs. Previous max was 9000 songs.

I upgraded to IOS5. Now have synching problems using the USB Cable . I tried everything. Resent the Synch history in ITunes. Unticked all playlists and synched to clear all music etc of the iPod. Reticked items to synch then still have trouble. After it synchs, I see a playlist with some songs in black and some in grey. The black songs play, the grey ones don't. The same songs in iTunes do appear there and will play. I don't have any broken links in my library. Anyone know of a solution.? Synching takes forever and seems to get stuck on importing the pictures for ages. I walk away and next morning it will be finished syncing but with aforementioned problems.

You should send this to Apple.

  • IPhone Backup Freezes Halfway Through with iTunes

When connecting my iPhone 4 to a USB 2.0 Port, and attempting to backup, the backup begins and somewhere between start and finish freezes.  The software and the phone still appear to be backing up but it never completes.  I can delete my backup and start from scratch and it will do the same thing.
I have all antivirus software disabled.  All drivers are up-to-date.  BIOS is most current version for my Dell Desktop.
Does the same thing if I create a new user and attempt to backup.
I have uninstalled all iTunes software per the required procedure and reinstalled, still the same result.
Has anyone experienced this and can shed some light on this for me?
    Thanks,
    John

  • HT1386 Since the new update I have been unable to sync my iTouch with iTunes

A month ago I downloaded some new music and synced it to my iTouch no problem. It seems like since the new update I have been unable to sync BOTH of my iTouch's to my iTunes. When I connect the iTouch to the computer it shows up but not in iTunes. I have redownloaded iTunes with no help. It just keeps showing up as if nothing is attached.

    See
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
    - Then do the other actions of:

paying special attention to item #5
    - New cable and different USB port
    - Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause
