Cursor positions can't extract waveform subset

Hi there,
I'm trying to get two cursor positions on a waveform graph to be the inputs for the code below, which will begin a process that will analyse a subset of the waveform. The two cursors define the start and end point for the waveform (Cursor 0 is the start point, cursor 1 is the end point). However, I'm having issues as Labview keeps telling me that the values I've chosen are not multiple integers of dt. I'm not sure what to set to avoid this problem. I've tried to get the cursor plots to be single plot types so they snap to x values (I assume this is what single plot means) but it's not making any difference. Note that there are 2 plots initially going to this waveform graph (original and average waveform) but the selection should only be from one of them (single plot is assigned to original waveform). Please help!
edit - Just a quick update. I noticed that if I re-run the VI, and activate this part of the VI that takes the waveform subset, I actually get what I want. Therefore, I assume I haven't set something properly in another part of the VI where I have an event structure that updates the cursor positions into numeric indicators. Could this be the issue?

I've solved the problem. Having both cursors on set to single plot on the original waveform should have prevented this issue, but I didn't notice that I was feeding in another waveform beforehand which automatically changed the assignment of the cursor, causing my issue.
Now the cursors stay fixed on the single plot I want after some tweaking.

How can I extract cursor coordinate in Adobe Photoshop for use in Action script?

What I want to do in Photoshop (version CC, but I think this applies to any version) is label a point using count tool under my mouse's current position, and label it multiple times (for different labels). I have an action that essentially does this:
(1) Add to count (under one label) (2) Switch to second label (3) Add to count (under second label) (4) Switch to third label (5) Add to count (under third label)
And the problem is that I need to be able to have a variable in the action script that uses the cursor's current position (X and Y numbers) on the canvas to set these three points when the macro is activated. Currently I am only able to record the script using constant X, Y values (the same point is labeled over and over when I play the recorded action). I am able to extract the code for the action for editing (via xbytor2's suggestion in this forum:https://forums.adobe.com/thread/696989) and I see where the variable can go, I just don't know what exactly to put in place of the constant X, Y values that will let Photoshop input the mouse's current coordinates...

You could use the pen tool set to path and create a single dot, then run the script to get the cursor positions and use that in your script.

I'd like to confine the cursors position to a grid when it's within a particular panel. I tried public void mouseMoved(MouseEvent e)

I'm not exactly sure what you want to be done, but, if you want to control the mouse position, you can create a Robot object (check the class in the java docs) and use robot.mouseMove(mouseX,mouseY) where mouseX and mouseY are integers. THIS ONLY WORKS IN APPLICATIONS THOUGH. its too powerful to be able to control a persons mouse, (and keyboard is controllable too with Robot), you can imageine what a person could do lol.. Anyway, you could repeatedly check if the mouse position is on the grid, and if it isn't, use robot.mouseMove, to place it onto the grid.

"Get Waveform Subset": version incompatibility

Hello everybody!
I was studing an already developped software and there was something relative to waveform uses that I didn't get it (concretly it was that I didn't know very well what I have to put in the Duration input when I was using the Get Waveform Subset function in the Relative Time mode. Should the duration be "T0 + sth" or just "sth"?)
Then, to understand it, I tried to simulated it. I was working at the same time with 2 computers with 2 different versions of Labview (7.1 and 8.6). The funny thing is that I created exactly the same VI for the oldest version and the new one, however it only works for the oldest one. When I try to run the new version I get that mistake message:
"Error -1801 occurred at Start value too large in Get Waveform Subset.VI.
Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: (Hex 0xFFFFF8F7) Duration input is not an integer multiple of dt. Value was coerced to nearest integer multiple of dt."
What's wrong with my new Labview version subvi?

Thanks a lot for your solution. Writing zero in the start input it does work. However there are 2 things I don't understand:
1-.Why does it work in the oldest version using the elapsed second function?Is the output of this function a longer number now? I think it should also work for the newest versions.
2-.If we can't write a time stamp, what do we have to do to skip the samples of a period of time? If we use like a starting time zero, what is the difference now between the relative time mode and the sample one?
I have wondered that, and I have been doing some tests and now I am more confused that before I was. :s
First of all, I was thinking: If we don't want to skip the first samples is logical that it does work for zero. I imagined that if for instance our wave starts in the second number 1000, so if we write a number below 1000, we are going to get always samples from the first positions (we could also get samples from other position but the first one would be always in the output wave).However when I wrote a signal, using as a t0 the elapsed second function and dt:1. Then I used "get waveform subset" in the relative time mode, and I set start:1 and duration:1, I got the second sample instead of the first one. (I was expecting the first one for the reason I have already explained)
Also, thinking about the behaviour of the function in the relative time mode I have done some test, in order to get a pattern, but I haven't successed. I will attached a file with the ideas got from the tests.

Intensity Map, Cursor Position Problem ?

Hi All
I have an intensity map for 9x9 matrix and I display them. I am trying to come up with: A cursor moveable across the map. When it moves, it gives me the X and Y coordinates. It displayes the cell # too but I am not able to programmatically extract that using property or invoke nodes. Any suggestions ?

One way of doing that is to use the cursor.position property node, that returns a cluster with the X and Y values. To get the Z value, you can create a reference to the corresponding indicator in the cursor, and extract the corresponding value.

Pda cursor position property does not work

Hi!
I have a problem with cursor positionX propery on PDA.
I use PDA Module 8.2 and Windows Mobile 5 OS on PocketPC.
Actually problem is only when I try to get value of two cursors, it return the same value for both cursors (you can test it with attached VI), but when I set values it work fine.
I have also worked with PDA Module 8.0.1 in past and I remember that get cursor position value worked, so I have no idea why it doesn't work in newer version.

Hello andrej,
Unfortunately I also see the same behavior on a PDA using this "active cursor" property. It appears to me that this property is not being written successfully. I say this because it appears that the value displayed is always from the most recently repositioned cursor rather than either the 0 or 1 which is set by the property node.
What I will do at this point is to file a corrective action request so that this behavior is corrected for a future release of the LabVIEW PDA module. DataTable Exception: Invalid operation for the current cursor position

I have a JSF application that lists rows from a view in a SQL Server database. I have set up a commandLinks in an extra columns.
The data is displayed properly, but when I select one of the commandLinks I get the "Invalid operation for the current cursor position" exception.

Looks like some inconsistency in the jsp source:
in the 2nd link the url property is set. I don't think
you need to set this.
I couldn't tell what action you want to occur when you
click. If you want some action to occur such as
navigating to another page then you can use Page Navigation. Then you would need an action handler
for the LinkAction component.

How to get the current cursor position in word report?

I am generating a word report. But I would like to keep the table in one page. However, I did not find the way to do it in labview. Somebody would give me some suggestions? I appreciate a lot.
One way I think I can do is to find the current cursor position. Since I know the table size so I can figure out if the left space in the current page is enough to hold the table. But I do not know how to locate the curent cursor position in word document in labview programmatically. I appreciate any suggestions on this question.

Hi,
when you insert data in a word document you have to refer to bookmarks rather than cursor position.
If you are using the Report Generation Toolkit for Office it is explained in the manual chapter 3-1.
See also the example: Generate Report From Template (Word).vi included in the toolkit.
If you aren't using the toolkit, you still have to refer to bookmark as reference points to insert and/or fetch data.
The principle is:
- First create a document in which you insert bookmarks where you wish and save it as a template
- In LV open your template document and insert in it your data referring to bookmarks as insertion points
- At the end save your report with another name, so you still have the template

Cursor position

I ahve a program written and all but it looks like I distorted the cursor position. I want to set the cursor position to where it can be moved by clicking and i cant figure it out. I know i have the magnify on is that why if so is there a way to keep both.

guys if any of you have an idea just post it. It would be of great help for me. I can't figure out my mistake and its been 2days already and still i am stuck with my problem.
It displays the table but there is an error "java.sql.SQLException: Invalid cursor position" so i cannot put the counter to the session.

I am implementing a spell checker of my native language in Word. Whenever I run spell checker it start from the first word. How can I make it to start from the current cursor position? How can I get the index of the word at the current cursor position?

Cursor position on screen data in module pool programming(urgent)

Hi all,
I developed a module pool program which will save the data after scanning the barcode data.
In my program screen 100 is there which contains field 2dbar. scanned data is comming to 2dbar field.
we r doing scan 4 times.once for vendor number,once for material no. like this.
After 1st scan, vendor number will come to field 2dbar.
Then I developed logic to put comma after each scanned data come to this field 2dbar.
MODULE put_comma INPUT.
CASE OK_CODE.
when ''.
move 2dbar to 2dbar1.
clear 2dbar.
concatenate 2dbar1 ',' into 2dbar2.
*replace 2dbar with 2dbar2 into 2dbar.
move 2dbar2 to 2dbar.
*write 2dbar2 to 2dbar.
condense 2dbar no-gaps.
*move '' to 2dbar.
*set cursor field 2dbar offset 5.
*write
ENDCASE.
ENDMODULE. " put_comma INPUT
By above logic, comma comes to the starting position of 2dbar after each scan. i.e cursor position is coming to the starting position of screen field 2dbar.
Now I need to move the cursor position after the comma position on 2dbar after each scan.
after 1st scan, 2dbar contains
vmotorola
then my logic puts a comma when u put enter on screen 100.
now 2dbar contains
vmotorola,
i should get the cursor position after the comma.but i am getting cursor position before 'v'.so how to move this cursor position beyond comma after each scan.
I added set cursor command but it is not working.plz
What is the logic, I need to put in PAI to move the cursor on selection screen.
Already the logic I have mentioned. with that logic, I can put comma.now I need to add cursor movement logic to move the cursoron on screen field 2dbar.
