Cursour gone mad

help required...have spoken to apple support but suggestions have not helped. since downloading the latest lion 10.8.2 my cursour has gone mad, if i leave on any kind of links or hanging over a proggrame it goes to it or opens it without me clicking or tapping or touching the trackpad in anyway......its random and will and when i tested it by placing it over the same proggramesa series of times it will open them say 2times out of five...it also opens the display panel as if i have double clicked ....this is also random...any thoughts most welcome.thanks vicki

I have not installed such a program. I am one of those few N900 users whom actually know why the phone rotational settings (default) are the way it is.....IT IS A TABLET. So it is meant for dual hand operation with the exception of number dialing to place calls . So I never was one of those to complain or seek out apps which will make all features operational in potrait mode.

I've bought a Lumia 1020 today. When I turned it on at the first time it froze twice before I could go through the initial steps. It has gone mad, the screen is unresponsive, it starts apps like mad, jumps around, I can't turn it off because it starts again immediately. The backside is very hot. Unusuable. Ideas?

Rotation gone mad...

Hello,
I installed "Plastic Theme" and "Theme Customizer" which are great programs. After various modifications of testing new things out, my phone has gone mad with me, I think. How in the world can I turn off the auto-rotation? It is great when the phone rotates during calls but not rotating on every twist and turn of the phone (with every applications as well as with an idle desktop).
I tried to look at the settings for both programs but I cannot see where I can disable this. I am not sure which theme is causing this under the "Plastic Theme" program. I will do an uninstall here to restore everytihng to normal and then redownload the programs. What could I have done wrong here??

I have just updated OX10.8.5 and mail has gone mad and ^have lost emails

I have just updated my I mac (OSX 10.8.5) and mail has gone mad and I have lost a lot of emails additionally it keeps requesting me to enter my email password..

Launch Mail.
Click Mailbox in the menu bar.
Select "Rebuild" from the drop down.

My iPhone gone mad can't turn off voice control which turned on by itself now can't access phone as can't get past my screen lock! Also it keeps calling random people in my contacts help please

Have you tried to power off and on? If that doesn't work and the reset didn't work, have you tried connecting to iTunes to see if it is recognized?
If none of this works you probably need to visit an Apple genius bar and have it checked out by the techs.

I have run Disk Utility, trashed FCP5 preferences and restarted the computer and I had to force quit the program every time I have opened it today.

The sofware "crash" meaning it locks up (So far what is does is that it shows the loading icon and thats it) I wait just a few minutes, but when I press the Cmd + Option + Esc to force quit, FCP5 reads " Final Cut Pro Is Not Responding" everything on red.
The other things is that even after force quiting, on the dock it still indicates that is open, and when I press the Cmd + tab to navigate through the programs, it still shows FCP as if it was open.
I don't have any network drive mounted. I am using one drive the same that is running the the OS and others...

Xcode's gone mad

Well, I'm doing the assignments of cs193p. I'm at assignment 3 now (although I finished the whole course)..
Xcode has gone mad. Literally. I open a project, when I run, a totally different UI (of another project) is there. I've been trying to use a Mutable Array, addObject there, then it doesn't work. I debug, the object added somewhere are actually there, but each object is out of scope, or in other words, 0x0 pointers. Although I used the same thing before and it fully worked.
What's wrong? :|

Well, that means an update to 10.7.4. My connection is crap. 50 KBs download per second. I'll do that of course but I guess it'll have to be later.
By the way, I'm still wondering how the 2 projects are connected. In the first project though I'm using a navigation controller with views of .xib files. The second project displays the .xib file without the navigation controller, although it has its own .xib file. Also, both files aren't connected in any way o.o
How could something like that happen?!

WRT54G ver. 7 GONE MAD!!

I have a WRT54G ver. 7 router, and it has a lot of strange problems. First, I had a ver. 7.00.4 firmware, but sometimes i couldn't get into the admin page (192.168.1.1) so I got the 7.00.7 beta firmware. It worked fine, but I still had problems with it. I wrote to Linksys support, they sent me the final 7.00.7 firmware for my ver.7 router in e-mail. I tried to upgrade from 7.00.7beta to 7.00.7 final, but something wrong happened. The router connected to my computer via ethernet cable, the connection was stable. I logged into 192.168.1.1, I selected the 7.00.7 final firmware, and clicked "Upgrade" in the Firware upgrade section, but about a 25 seconds later the uprgrading process terminated, without any reason. After that, I couldn't get into the admin page, I only got Management mode only, the power LED was flashing, the reset button didn't have any effect (I pushed down for a minute, but nothing happened), and i didn't have internet connection. In management mode, I reinstalled the 7.00.7beta firmware. The router now works, but the signal strenght is very weak (WLAN) now. I had maximum signal strenght before (5/5), now I have maximum 2/5 or 3/5 signal strenght. Also, when I tried to reset my router, the firmware has gone, disappeared, the power LED started flashing again, I get Management mode again, and i had to reinstall the 7.00.7beta again. Also when I change any settings, the whole interface crashes, and I get a white blank page, but it saves my settings. I have to press F5 to refresh the page every time, because ALWAYS get blank page when I click on something. I don't know what should I do, my router has gone mad! Please help me! Thank you forward!

As you have already got the firmware from the Linksys, then you can try to upload that firmware on your router using the TFTP Utility.
Click Download 44.3 KB the TFTP utility.
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Double click the TFTP.exe file and click run.
For Server- Enter the IP Address of the router that you assigned. By default, the router is 192.168.1.1...
For Password- Enter the password you assigned the router. By default, the router’s password is “admin”.
For File- Click the triple “…” button and browse for the .bin firmware file...
Click Upgrade button to start upgrading. A progress bar should show up to show the progress.
Once the Upgrade is done press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

My iphone's(4s) battery's gone mad!!!

my iphone's battery has gone mad!!!It shuts down without any notice,even though the battery life seems full or around 80%.has anyone experienced anything like that?

Same as you would do with any battery issue before you updated: restore the phone as NEW, not using backup at all.

Nano'z Gone MAD!

Hello, I have an ipod nano 1gb, and its gone MAD!... at first it was working all fine, then it told me to restore it using itunes... So i did that, and the problem stays fixed only long enough to fully charge the ipod. Once i fully charge it, the same message appears. "restore using Itunes"... and suggestions on what may be casuing this?

Have you updated the firmware you are trying to restore with? Have you updated Itunes?
Try the five rs. That might fix your problem.

Ios7 messaging gone mad!

My daughter has iPhone on a network, no wifi. I have iPad with wifi only. Since ios7 imessaging has gone mad. Some come through on my email some on msg. On the old system they always come om msg. Why is this happening and how do we get them back as before, all on msg.

Have you updated the firmware you are trying to restore with? Have you updated Itunes?

FrontierTranzport gone mad

Hi Since I have installed LP8 my Frontier Tranzport has gone bonkers. I have contacted Frontier who say they are not aware of problems with LP8. I have done rebuild defaults. Nothing seem to get it back. At the moment when I boot LP7 t see what happens there the transport buttons are triggering notes in midi instruments
Is any one else having problems? Any ideas on a solution?

I've had no problems with my Tranzport in L8. However, I did have the problem you described in L7 on one occasion. you know the scenario. Worked one day. Started up the next having made no changes and I, too, got MIDI notes. I deleted the drivers and Control Surface settings, reinstalled and it all worked. The Control Surface file can be found here but be aware that deleting it deletes all your Control Surfaces
user/library/preferences/logic/com.apple.logic.pro.cs

Have bt gone mad or have the customers

my bill was overdue i admit (very difficult personal circumstances)
after a few calls i managed to speak to someone with some sence,we agreed my bill could be taken in full from my bank on 20th sep 11,wow all sorted,plan now was to call after payment took to set up a new dd as a new bill due early oct and dont want a repeat.
so i check my bank on 20th and low and behold bt have only took £1.36 instead of £260.
no prob will explain to advisor and pay with debit card over phone.
bt not gonna make it that easy silly me,its now saying my calls have been diverted within bt(never heard of this one).
i try just to get past the atomated system so i can speak to a human being,no chance.
after a few attempts i give up and via the automated system pay my bill in full by debit card.
so annoyed i explore other providers through friends and decide maybe to keep my options open until my contract is finished in about 4 weeks,afterall i was late paying my bill (very forgiving nature).maybe i could get a good deal and i had heard about another option i may be interested in through bt.
so first things first decide today to set up the dd and enquire about something else i may be interested in .
only again today(your call has been diverted within bt).
on line it says my bill is paid in full ,the automated service says my bill is paid in full .
why can i still not talk to a human being regarding my account,also cant do the live chat.
so bt have made my mind up for me ,when my contract is up i will go elsewhere.
not everyone can use computers and most people feel better speaking to a human ,its in our nature.
please please please will someone tell the bosses at bt,its good to talk.ha didnt bt use that line in the good old days.
maybe a bt rep would like to talk to me before i migrate with a few of my relatives disgusted like me.

Battery power consumption has gone mad...!

I have an iphone 5 IOS 7.0.4
Suddenly the battery consumption has gone crazy. The phone feels warm and and 100% of power is used over 4hours with phone in standby.
The power lasts if I turn off mobile data. I have no apps running and location services icon is not showing?
I did find that I have used up all of my icloud storage .. I have resolved this issue now..
There seems to be a hidden process that is using power.. I do not know how to track this down... any suggestions please?

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with battery performance.
I recommend that you first check what's using battery. Charge the battery full and then use the phone as you normally do. When battery level is low, go to Settings -> Power management -> Battery usage. What does it say here? By tapping the apps/functions in the list you can also se how long they have been active.
