Curve 8310 & Synchro with Window Vista

Hello,
I have a Blackberry Curve 8310 and am running Window Vista on my laptop and have downloaded the latest Desktop Manager. I would like to be able to snychronize the Windows Contacts and the Windows Mail that comes with Vista. I have no problems with Windows Contacts because that option was given in the synchronization set up; however, Window Calendar was not. When I try and set up synchronziation for Windows Calendar, I only have three options to choose from: None, ASCII Importer/Exporter, and Yahoo. I recently talked to my service provider and they indicated that Blackberry does not support the synchronization of Windows Calendar. It seems that one must purchase and install MS Outlook even when there is a perfectly good e-mail program/calendar that comes with Vista. My question is: Does anyone know when, or if, all of MS Vista components will be supported by Blackberry? - or - has anyone discovered a solution to this problem? Thanks for any feedback.

Yeah I figured that would be the case about vista 64 bit, usually if I have a problem with software compatability it's because of that lol.
Thanks on the PIN instructions, I never knew heh. Unfortunately that means I have been entering the right PIN, which doesn't put me any closer to figuring out this little issue

I have outlook 2007 and my contacts, calanders all sync. I have another iphone that syncs to an imac and I do not see any difference in the ability to sync music, movies etc., except that the imac does it a lot faster than my dual core vista. Both are new machines but the Imac is about 65% faster at least. Hope this helps and enjoy your phone. I convinced my wife to chuck her blackberry curve (3 months old) for the iphone and now she's telling all her friends what a great improvement she made with her choice and she surfs the net, plays music and syncs like a pro.

Recognizing an iPod with Windows Vista

I have a new computer that came with Windows Vista. I have not been able to get iTunes to operate correctly for Windows Vista to recognize the USB connection to my iPod. Anyone have a patch or downloadable software suggestion to resolve this?

I finally figured I had nothing to lose--I'd just downloaded a new version of Real Player, which supposedly will work with iPods and Windows Me--and I let my computer format the iPod, hoping that would let it work with Windows again. Apparently not. Now it won't turn on--it's giving me the folder-and-exclamation-point icon. Resetting it didn't help, and I can't restore it because I can't install the software to my computer in the first place.
I suppose the only thing to do is borrow a friend's computer or something.

Ipod touch with windows vista

Hi,Im looking into geting the ipod touch,but I have read that the ipod touch does not work well with windows vista. I know the new itunes 7.5 just came out. Has that version fixed the problems with the ipod? Also what are the problems the ipod touch is haveing with vista. I have windows vista 32 bit OS. Thank you very much for your help.

Hey, yeah I have major problems syncing to Vista. The album artwork is assigned to the wrong songs or sometimes a chunk of the picture is not in the right place, some of my songs stop half way through the song then the iPod skips to the next song on the list. My movies periodically decide to crash and the only way to get past these spots is to skip ahead (which is very difficult on the iPod touch especially when the movie is long cause you dont want to miss too much) but yeah just letting you know that there ARE some issues with it not saying that yours will do the same but it might.

Error ~69 with Windows Vista?

I just purchased a new Gateway with Windows Vista to replace my Dell with XP. Ever since I purchased my Gateway, I am unable to sync any iTunes purchases or material imported from CDs to my iPod 30GB. I keep receiving the ~69 message "Unable to sync to iPod. An unknown error occurred. (~69)." Following this error, the iPod only seems to sync the songs that I've recently played on my iPod when it's been disconnected from my computer.
Is this a problem with my iPod, Vista, or some combination of the two? I do not see any songs that should be causing a problem, and my entire library synced with no problems on the Dell XP machine.

Unfortunately, I tried every solution on the page (including restoring) and it still doesn't work. I thought the problem was because of a bad video file that iTunes warned me to delete, but that doesn't work at all.
There has to be an issue with Vista. The iPod worked just fine on my Dell with Windows XP. As soon as I switched computers, it stopped working. What issues does iPod have with Vista?

Multisim 10.0.1 is compatible with Windows Vista, and this is a free update. Go to the Drivers and Updates page, and select your edition (Student, Educational, Power Pro).

I am trying to chat with my friend who is using a PC with Windows Vista. I am using iChat and she is using AIM. But the video is not working. The error keeps saying that either she has declined my invitation but in fact she accepted it. What do each of us need to do to get this to work?

AIM is currently posting this Info about AIM 6.5 which is the only version currently available for Vista.
Having said that about 30% of those who post about AIM here say it works but it does need allowing through the Firewall as an Exception as Steve has linked you to.

Im actually tilting it up where it cinnects to my iPod, not where it connects to my computer, and i have tried three(yes, 3) different cables, one of which i bought brand new. still nothing, and i've also tried different USB ports on my computer,....nothing. Could this simply be a hardware failure of somekind? maybe a physical problem...i mean, why would i have to tilt the cable in order for my computer to actually read my iPod? im looking at the USB connector on my iPod (maybe it's my imagination, not sure) it possible might be bent, the little metal part in the port.

However...
I have a HP Compaq laptop that i am running with Windows Vista, which I use when travelling. I have a reasonable amount of tunes stored on my laptop, and am unable to ascertain as to whether this fix for allowing itunes to work again will delete my music folder and lose all the tunes i have on my laptop already?
