Curve 8330 Calendar Question

I just got my Curve and really like it however I have a problem/question I'm sure you veterans could answer. I use Outlook 2007 for all my personal appointments/stuff (I don't use it for work). I created a blackberry email address (I want to keep the Blackberry and personal emails separate) which apparently created another calendar on the Curve. I've been adding appointments to both the Curve and Outlook and synced them hoping all appointments would be on both the Curve and Outlook calendars....well that wasn't so.
Is there a way I can a) still keep my blackberry email address and b) be able to add appointments to both the Curve and Outlook and have them all on 1 calendar?
PS: after I deleted my Blackberry email and re-entered a bunch of appointments it seemed to synch fine.

Go to the synchronization screen, click on the upper right corner Synchronize configuration, Your top radio button shoud now let you configue your options again. This time just pick calendar, so we can isolate any other options.Make sure you pick Two way Go through the wizard. Try it again. If there is any error message please let me know!

Blackberry Curve 8330 Calendar

I purchased a Blackberry 8330 Curve and I need assistance with the calendar feature. Under general options in calendar, I have it set to keep appointments forever, however, as of today, everything before 4/29 is missing from my calendar!
I did nothing in the last several days to have this happen and I think its always been like this but never bothered to fix it.
Help please!

Do you have a media card and is it full? If your device memory gets full your BB will begin to delete old emails, texts, appts etc to make more room for itself. Any media i.e. pictures, wallpapers, music etc should be stored on your media card.
Maybe try a battery pull (while the device is on), wait 30 seconds and replace the battery. Let the device start up and see what's there. I don't think this is it, but pulling the battery can help in general.

BB Curve 8330- Calendar issues, please help.

I just got the phone a couple of weeks ago. I use the today theme that came on the phone because I like to see my upcoming events on the phone when I turn it on.
I have a couple of questions:
1. I notice that my All day events, like someones birthday, or NO School, do not show up on the today screen as an upcoming event. /Any way to change that?
2. Some upcoming events are not listed (it only lists 2 events at a time) but others after them are listed, even though when I go to the calendar application, they are there. For instance, I am working 5-11 on Labor Day. So I have that entered on 9/1. It is not one of my two upcoming events on my home page, but events occuring on 9/6 and 9/7 are. Why is that, and how can I change it?
While these are not really big issues, because the events are not missing from the calendar and I can still see them, its just odd to me and annoying me because it doesn't make sense.

How long has this been occurring?
try this: pull the battery while your device is ON, leave it out for a minute, replace it,
Let the device reboot 1-3 min. See if you calendar displays correctly.

Curve 8330 Calendar Bug

Hey all, just noticed something recently, when viewing the calendar in monthly view and scrolling down to the next week or up to the next week.. It seems to sometimes display "Week" which is a bug?. but if I scroll down to the next week it shows "Week 3".
If I go to the next week and then back to previous one it will then be displayed right....
So is this "Week thing a bug"
Anyone ever see this.....

Okay now this is really freaking weird...
Scroll thru to later months and you will see some weeks show up as Week 1 or Week 2 then jump to Week 11 or Week 13.
But then if you go back the weeks are okay....

Curve 8330 - Calendar

How do I recover past calendar entries? They disappear after one week. I need to review my calendar entries for the past year.

Try opening your calendar and then press the menu button and then select the option "General Options"...under the Actions section look for something along the lines of "keep appointments" and then look at the # of days that appointments are kept for before being deleted automatically. Mine is on default of 15 days but you may want to select forever since there isn't a yearly option.

Blackberry Curve 8330 - 2 Questions

I love my BB so far, but I've had two major issues. One: my school uses Microsoft Exchange Labs for e-mail. I can access it on my laptop by going to http://outlook.com or www.exchangelabs.com, but I have not yet been able to set it up on my Blackberry. And yes, I have tried going through the set up wizard, it says it is added, then it doesn't do anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Two: I have tried to use voice control, and it brings up a white page that says Initializing, Please Wait. Then that darn hourglass comes up, and it never initializes. Then I have to shut my phone down and even that takes a long time. Then when I bring it back up it doesn't work well and I normally have to shut it down and bring it up again. Help!

Can't transfer calendar: Palm Treo to Curve 8330

I've been helping my husband switch over from his Palm Treo 600, using Palm desktop, to new BB Curve 8330. A salesman transferred name and tel #s only. I've managed to switch most of his Palm into Outlook, and sync'd Outlook with the BB. The only problem now seems to be that the calendar is not syncing over to the BB. Suggestions???
I have tried to sync setting configurations several different ways: to sync all or calendar only, to have Outlook override device, and two way. Nothing will get the calendar over to the BB, although all his addresses and tasks are there now. Help!

Hi,
Outlook 2003 and desktop manager v.6 will be perfect!
Yes install the main email address on the Blackberry to match Outlook.
On the Blackberry you get a calendar for each email address you use.
Only one can be synchronized with the Outlook calendar.
You can go to Outlook, tools, email options and make sure of the default account.
Then on the Blackberry from the home screen, options, advanced options,
default services. Use the main email options CICAL is the calendar and CMIME is the email.
By placing them as default you then sync email address to email address calendars.
Make sense?

Curve 8330 Not able to Sync with my Gateway Laptop Windows Calendar...PLZE HELP

I have a Curve 8330 Desktop manger is v4.5. My operating system is Vista. This is the first time that I have attempted to sync my Windows Calendar with my BB 8330.
I have looked at other threads and can not find my solution.
I have logged into my Desktop Manager and have gone thru the sync wizard but when I select to sync my calendar the option for Windows is not listed; the items listed are ASCII Importer/Exporter and Yahoo.
On my device I have 3 personnel email account set up; my cox.net email and 2 gmail accounts.
My laptop internet service provider is Cox in which I believe that my Windows Calendar is connected to.
I HAVE NOT HAD ANY SUCCESS ON SYNCING MY WINDOWS CALENDAR....PLEASE HELP....

Anyone who used Palm knows you could have multiple calendars and on both the Pam and Computer. I have all my dads medical, appointments, my cancer appointments and both of our lives on my Palm. When Verizon Synchronized it only the phone #'s came through and nothing for the calendar. I am now having to carry my palm treo for the personal information, drug histories, appointments, etc. Does anyone know of a program with the Calendar for both the desktop and the blackberry that I can download that will synch to each other or have any other ideas on what I can do? I would so appreciate it. Thank you so very much for any help.

After Google Synch is gone (Sept. 1), what can I use to synch calendar on Curve 8330?

I have a Curve 8330. My provider is Verizon. Google announced that Google Synch will no longer operate after Sept. 1.
Are there any solutions to my problem other than replacing the Curve or using another calendar? I am not on a BES.

BlackBerry Curve 8330 Email Deletion Question

Greetings and Salutations Black Berry People!
I have a BlackBerry Curve 8330 and a question concerning it.
My phone is currently connected to an exchange server that I sync with my phone. Is there a way to delete emails from my phone all at once, a mass purge of old emails under 1 condition: I don't want the emails on the exchange ( the old ones) to be deleted as well.
I've set my phone to delete messages from my phone after 30 days but can I do what I said in the above paragraph now?

in the messages application options, there is one to check delete on : handheld only.
so that if you delete a message on your blackberry, it is not deleted on the server.
in the messages list, you can hover on a date, hit menu key and select "delete prior". It will delete all messages that have a date before that date.

My New Curve 8330! (few questions from a noob!)

So I finally got the Curve 8330 - I had been waiting all this time for the Thunder but decided yesterday that if my fingers are too fat for an iPhone, then they will be for the Thunder as well. Anyways, I LOVE the Curve thus far...just a few questions.
#1) Do the "messages" and "[email protected]" icon serve the same purpose? If so, which I think they do, how do I filter the "messages" icon so that ONLY my incoming SMS messages are shown??? As of now, the "messages" icon is cluttered with e-mail, SMS, bb mesanger & voicemail! I HATE THAT! I'd rather keep it clean and organized so that If i wanna view my SMS messages, I click on "messages" If I wanna view my bb messanger messages, I click on the bb messanger icon, If i wanna see my e-mails, I click on the "[email protected]" icon and so forth. Is there a way to filter it this way???
#2) When I send an e-mail, I automatically get THAT e-mail sent back to me! How do I disable this function? I have no need to recieve in my INBOX the e-mail I just sent out.... I tried going into "Messages->options" and turning the "hide sent" to "ON" but this problem still occurs...... Any help on that?
#3) I have this stupid "Facebook" icon in my menu, how do I delete this permanently?

Yes, when you go into your messages and hit the menu key and select options and general options. Email and sms messages should be set to separate. Hit the back key to the right of your trackball to save. If you do not see an icon now just for sms and mms, do a battery pull. Take the battery out with the phone on and leave it out for 30 seconds. Replace it and allow the phone 1-3 minutes to reboot does the icon appear now?

Curve 8330 no longer synching address book or calendar

My Curve 8330 stopped synching with Outlook 2007. It gives an error message saying "Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working; A problem caused the program to stop working correctly." It does this after is has reconciled both the address book and calendar.

My curve 8330 just stopped synchronizing with my Calendar

I have Vista & 2007 Outlook - my blackberry Curve 8330 synchronized with my Outlook Calender last weekend but when I try to do it this weekend it won't do it. It tries but just stops. I can sync my contacts fine.
I have deleted the intellisync folder and it didn't help.
I am pretty sure I have updated everything.
Could you plese help?

As always, have you tried a battery pull?
1. Remove the battery while phone is turned on
2. Wait a few seconds before inserting it again
3. Allow the long boot up process to finish (takes a few minutes usually)
Have you checked your synchronization settings in desktop manager and reconfigured them?
Do you have the latest version of Desktop Manager? Should be 5.0
Try a clean uninstall of Desktop Manager and then reinstall the latest version:

Configure the synchronization again and try.
To help you better can you provide your phone's OS version. Go to options>about, 3rd line down is 4.X.X.XXX. What is your Desktop Manager version and are you getting any error messages while synching? The more specific information you can provide the easier it is to get to the right solution

Hello and Welcome to the Forums!
The easiest way for you to get an answer is to contact Sprint...they may or may not be able enable international roaming for you on that device.
Alternatively, you can research the radio capabilities of that model here:

Then check the radio frequencies in use by carriers in the countries you desire to go to. That will tell you if the BB is at all capable of "talking" to those networks. Then you can either activate an international roaming plan with the carrier (if they offer such) or, before you leave, get and use the unlock code from your home carrier and then, upon arrival in the other country, buy a local SIM and use that in your BB.
