    It seems that you have not installed the correct blackberry software for your device, or might be select the incorrect carrier for your blackberry handheld. You need to download the correct blackberry software with your service provider and before installing the software, disconnect your BB device from the computer and then install it with proper administrative privilege.
    After installing the software on your computer, make sure to hard boot your blackberry handheld before connecting it to your computer. If the same problem persists, then use JVM Loder to complete wipe your blackberry device memory then connect with the desktop manager and install the software.

  • My Blackberry Curve 8520 screen turns ALL WHITE!! :'(

    Hello everyone. I need help here.
    I found out that my Curve 8520 screen turns all white. When I pulled the battery out, and put it back, things went ok; screen shows uploading but NEVER FINISH and it turns ALL WHITE again. I dd this a few times but still not working. 
    What is wrong to my blackberry? HELP!

  • Curve 8520 screen isn't working, but everything else is.

    All night my curve has been making the noise when you put the charger inside and pull it out.
    I woke up this morning and the screen was white, but the led was still working which meant i had a text.
    I pressed jut about everything and the screen wasn't changing so I took the battery out for 30 seconds, put it back in, waited for the device to re-boot and it turned on, the keyboard lit up, the LED was working and it made the noise when it was turned on.
    I tried this process again but with the charger plugged in and it still wasn't working.
    If anyone knows how to resolve this it would be a great help

  • Screen/Display error

    I bought the BlacBerry z3 on 22 November 2014 & in less than 5hrs of use,the screen just went dim and only visible when facing the sun, I wiped it and it started working fine after that,now it keeps doing that when I play music then I have to reboot it & remove the media card(16gb) sometimes it just goes dim for 2-3 days and I have to wipe it in order for it to work.
    What could be the problem?

    I don't know. But it is curious that it is intermittent. Have you looked at the display brightness settings before and after. Are the settings changing or staying the same? That is, I'm wondering if the settings are changing or being changed.
    Also, if you wipe again, try and avoid installing third-party and add-on apps until you test for several days to determine if the problem is going to recur or not. If all is ok, install one app at a time and test.

    Hey, i tried to turn on my phone two days ago, and the error JUM 517 reset came up, ive reset my phone to many times, ive tried to take the battery out, sim card out and even my memory card.. ive left them out for hours, and now a full day. ive even tried charging the phone just incase that was the problem. nothing seems to be working and i looked on the help forums but i dont really understand the advice, you may need to put things more simply as im not great with phones, and be patient with me. Thanks for your time.

  • Curve 8520 facebook app error 2400

    Help, anyone! Everytime I try to log-in my facebook acct in my blackberry, error 2400 (incorrect email/password) comes up. It works when I log-in using my laptop. When my friend tried logging in using my bb, it had no problem. I also tried changing passwords, but it still would'nt work. Help!

    As I stated above, change the password on your computer to something with all letters. Make the first letter of the password a capital.

  • HELP! Curve 8520 screen is all white

    Hi everyone...I'm new to all this.  I've had my BB for 8 months.  I did not really do anything special to my phone except turn it on and hide it from my 14 month old.  When I retrieved it, the screen is all white.  I can not do anything with it.  I am able to receive calls on it and I hear that I receive messages on it but I can not see anything! I can not do anything either, not even turn it off....I'm desperate!  I've tried soft booting and even a hard boot, but agian nothing is working.  I hope somebody here has an idea what to do........Thanks for your help and support!

  • Blackberry curve 8520 screen problems???

    hi, i have a 5 month old blackberry that has not had any water damage (i checked the white stickers)
    a month ago small green and black vertical lines started to appear on my screen, but since then they have gotten worse, its almost like a color 'veil' in that section of the screen as things still show up behind it, it is now doing the same thing in a diferent place and im worried that eventually i wont be able to see whats on my screen
    is the screen under guarantee??
    will this problem still fall under guarantee??

    I'd check with the carrier about this.  I don't think a battery pull will help, but you can try.

    If still unable to recover your device then please follow this :

    1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.  http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    2) On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
    "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
    3) The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
    4) In the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN". Click the "Next" button.
    5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Congrats! Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
    NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.

  • Help please error 552 plus not being recognised by computer on 8520

    Hi
    I was wondering if anyone could help I have tried everything to fix the 552 error on my curve 8520 but nothing is working and now the phone will not connect to my laptop, I have tried apploader now it says current device is up to date, desktop software says cannot connect to device (from the start) and phone does not do anything except sit on with a white screen with "reload software 552" written on it.
    Could someone please help?

    As your device is not detecting you can try Application loader to force the detection of your device to load the OS ,please refer to the Knowledge Base Article :
    KB10144  : How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader
    But remember in this process you will lose all data within your device, I hope you have your Backup.

  • App error curve 8520

    Need urgent help with this please. A friend of mine also has a bb curve 8520 and recently she keeps getting the "App error 523".
    I've tried googling the problem and everywhere says to reset the o/s. While this is straightforward in theory, When I've tried to connect the device to the bb desktop, the phone loads up for about 5 seconds, and then the app screen appears.
    It even does this when I boot up the bb in safe mode. I'm getting frustrated now as I cant do anything with the bb desktop (as in re-install the o/s) when the app error message screen comes up.
    Any ideas please?
