Curve 9300 3G - A few Keys not working properly

Somebody close had gifted this Blackberry Curve 9300 3G mobile to me. After using it for just 2 months, the Space, alt and 0 keys are not working properly. At times I just have to keep pressing for these respective keys to respond and at times upon pressing, these keys respond more than once. Does anybody know how to tackle this issue.

A few keys not working - faulty keyboard?

Hi,
A friend of mine (honest!) spilt a v.small amount of water on her keyboard on her 2.16ghz 17" MBP and decided to dry it out using a hair dryer.
One melted keyboard later and I was asked to replace her keyboard for her.
So having bought and fit a new keyboard, keys are not working and 1 is intermittant. These keys are: f10, f11, 0, - and p ([ is intermittant).
They are all grouped together near the top right of the keyboard.
Twice I have tried to ensure the keyboard ribbon cable is firmly in place and it seems to be. Is the new keyboard I bought likely to be faulty and there needs returning, or could this be some other problem.

Did the new keyboard come with a new cable? You might want to carefully examine the cable under strong magnification and look for any breaks that might correspond to the keys that are not working or not working properly.
Also, try an external keyboard. If you have the same situation on an external, there is some problem other than the replacement keyboard.
For future reference for your friend, you NEVER want to use a hair drier on a water spill. The best thing to do is to turn the Mac off, remove the battery, and lay it keyboard down on a towel for several days. You want all the water to drain out and any internal residue to dry completely before putting power to the machine again. Most of the time, the water will dry and everything will work again.
The forced air from the hair drier could have blown water deeper into the machine and there could be some residue causing problems. When you take the machine apart to check the cable, also check for any remaining moisture that could still be causing problems. If the machine had not been allowed to dry for several days, it needs to.

Windows 7 Brightness and Function key not Working Properly

i have HP 15-af024AU APU Quad Core A8-7410 - (4 GB DDR3,1 TB HDD) Noteboook and it came with windows 8.1 preinstalled than i installed windows 7 ultimate.
i have problem in Display Brightness i am not able to change Brightness by function key or by manually from windows settings.
2. my Function key are not working properly . all key are fliped whiout holding function key it work as function key. 3. bluetooth is not working when i search for new device not able to find any available discouable bluetooth device. 4. wireless button software is not wokring in windows 7 i already updated my bios that available in drivers support and install alll drivers too properly so please give proper drivers for windows 7 for this product that works perfect.

Keyboard windows key not working properly

I am not able to navigate to start screen with regular windows key press. I need to press hard to navigate to the start screen. But other functions with windows key is working properly. For Eg: Windows Key + R is working properly with regular press. Please help.

I do not know of a setting that would do that - especially intermittently.
I would suspect the KB is failing/has failed.

Key not working properly

I bought E-71 about one month back. I upgraded its software to 110.07.127. After this upgrade process, the keys are not working properly.
For example, the key titled '?' is not printing '?' while another key titled '.' is printing '?'. This problem is for the whole keypad.
FYI, my keypad also contains the Arabic letters. They are also not working after this upgrade.

This has happened because your phone was most likely imported and modified before it was sold you you. Updating the firmware has reset it back to it's default configuration
You need to contact a nokia care point for help getting it back working properly. If the care point isn't an option visit the retailer where you purchased it.

Satellite L850 - Special function key not working properly

Hi Everyone,
I had Satellite L850 (pskg8a-07f001) running windows 8 64 bite for just 2 months.
Just within this week, the special function key not working, each time I start the pc, i have to go into toshiba desktop assist then function key then click ok, it will working.
But the touch pad has been set as enabled, also under keyboard setting has been set as special function mode. But don't know why each time start the pc have to go into function key box then click ok.
When I bought it everything is ok, i can use the special function key to turn up and down the volume and disable wireless...etc

You can use the traditional FN + F key mode or just an F key mode.
This can be enabled and disabled in BIOS or the HWSetup
In BIOS go to Advanced -> System configuration -> Function key mode
This mode can be changed
Also be sure that Function Button option is enabled too

Message ShortCut Key not working properly

Hellow every one, guys i am encountrying a problem regarding my nokia e5 , i've just bought it recently and still left with 8 months warranty. The problem i am facing is, the message shortcut key which is on the keypad of this Phone, is not working properly. When i do long press to open new text msg, it sometimes doesnt opens any thing and sometimes even open messaging and then close it. At a certain angle i have to apply a little more force in order to operate it properly. Please help me wheather its a hardware problem or any sort of dust particles have emerged inside the keypad resulting in loose contact of the button and the motherboard.

G510 installed Windows 8.1 Function keys not working properly

last week i have puchased lenovo g510 laptop and installed windows 8.1 and later on automatically function keys and all the keys were not working properly. if i press key to increase brightness and some other operation is performing by its own. What's wrong with this LENOVO brand is this the way you take lots of money from people. I need an immediate solution from basic support to my home. If at all it is not resolved i will file a case on consumer court that LENOVO was chaeten me and what ever it may be i will go for end.
Give me a clear answer with out any stupidity

Were you able to install all the drivers and Software After the New installation of Win 8.1?

Start with the Chipset installation first then whatever comes next.
Make sure you select the proper version for your Windows type and version.

Few keys not working

Hello,
I spilled some water on my hp Pavillion g4-1200 tu Notebook PC about a month ago. I wiped the water immediately but since then I have been noticing that some keys have become hard to press and yesterday some keys even stopped working. At times some keys works and at times they dont. Please help me as I have already cleaned my laptop and have also used a hairdryer to wipe of the dust but it is not working as such. I tried using the driver scanner on hp's website to see if the laptops drivers were up to date even that didnot work successfully though the keyboard driver is up to date.

The keyboard is mechanically damaged, no driver will fix your problem. Unless you have skills in cleaning keyboard internally , you are set to buy a new keyboard and install it.

Hi guys i have a Lenovo G580 im not sure which version but i can tell you its intel i.3 and its got usb3.0 on it and 500gb hdd. 2.20Ghz 4.00RAM.
been days that i try to solve my Fn Key problem and also the arrow left and arrow up keys < i was using Win8 and downgraded to Win7 last week and that problem has occured since ,it misbehaves and it only works for a short amount of time it randomly works those keys FN.arrow up/left keys randomly they work , i upgraded again to Win8.1 now for the first few boots evrything worked well fn key and arrow keys np.< and now again it stops working.. and btw. whenever i press hard against it it would work pressing down the fn and arrow left/up keys when i press really hard it works but then again it doesnt Soo end of the story its not functioning properly and i have Energy management and Display driver HD 3000 installed and i still got this problem .. is there any fix to this anyone please !?

Hey mate the keys are faulty nothing can fix it except for buying a new Replacement! , i fixed the problem simply by Replacing the KEYBOARD ! i went downtown and looked for a g580 keyboard and they didnt exactly have the same version g580 they had c or b580 i dont remmber what letter it was sorry ! but the thing is the whole keyboard layout of many Lenovo Laptops are the same just look one thats the same, cause mine wasnt for G580 but the thing is its still working perfectly ! only problem is the Screws didnt fit i had to cut out the sides of the screw hole thingies to make the keyboard fit in well in my G580 , Simply put all you need is a new keyboard replacement buy one they cost between 20-40$ worth it cause you wont have any faulty keys anymore evrything will work fine. no need to reinstall anything just replace it with new Keyboard. and Plus its easy to replace it by yourself. i replaced mine by myself easily. Problem fixed.

Arrow key not working properly in JTable in Modal dialog

in my programme i have a table in a dialog. now while editing table cells wich have a defult editor, left write arrow key does not working as it supposed to. while editing if you press arrow key instead of moving between the characters of the cell it moves between cell as it work with tab key.

I have Toshiba Satellite A500-1GL, and i have a problem with the FN key (Actually not the FN key itself, its the other related keys, the keys that have the commands)
for example:
FN + ESC = Mute, and it work fine!
But.. FN + F8, should enable/disable the wireless, but its not !
here is a list of what is/not working:
FN + ESC: Mute {color:#008000}(Working){color}
FN + F1: Lock/Unlock windows {color:#008000}(Working){color}
FN + F2: Search {color:#ff0000}(Not Working){color}
FN + F3: Sleep {color:#008000}(Working){color}

You have to reinstall the Value Added Package and the Toshiba Flash Card Support Utility!
Firstly remove both software parts from system.
Reboot the unit and then install firstly the VAP and then Toshiba Flash Cards.
