Curve losing messages and call history

I have an 08310 that has been running fine since O got it (~ 2 months ago). Yesterday I selected messages and lots of messages had gone - nothing simple like all messages before a speciifc date missing - several from that day and lots of older ones, some were SMS, some were emails - out of several hundred I was left with about 30! Also the call log had disappeared and the phone seemed to be running slower than before (lots of hourglass). Today it again lost several messages and cleared the call log.
Turned it off/on no joy. Removed and replaced the battery no joy, changed themes again no joy. The slow running seemsto have improved but I have no idea where my messges went and have no idea when this will happen again. Don't know about you but I loose confidence when things like this happen.
Does anyone know what might be causing this and how to prevent it.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
This almost always a case of low memory;
go to options - status and send the file free and file total munbers; we wil need those for comparison.
You have low free memory left on your device.
Do you have a lot of third party applications on your BB weather, icall,bbalerts etc?
I do not know your experience level, so if you know this I'm sorry but please read and let me
know if this applies.
Most people close the applications by pressing the escape or red key. This does not close the applications.
Each application has a CLOSE option. For instance if you are in the calendar hit the menu key (spotted key) and scroll down to the bottom CLOSE is listed. Go through each application and press close. Go into the browser press menu and options select cache operations clear all categories and hit escape it will say cleaning memory. If you have the following application on your phone use it.
Go to options - security - memory cleaning - enable it. The BB will now clean memory when idle for 5 minutes.
you will have an icon on you screen for memory cleaning make sure you press it. Make sure you use the CLOSE button each time you are done with an application.

My Galaxy S4 updated automatically this morning and my text message history and phone call history are gone. Is there a way to restore this? Very frustrated.

I understand the importance of retrieving your text message history. Did you have the Verizon Messaging application installed on the device? This application may have your messages backed up for you to restore. Please let us know if you still need further assistance.

I deleted a contact out of my iPhone 4S but when I go to send a message the contact appears although that individual is no longer in my address book. I deleted all text and call history pertaining to the deleted contact but still shows up.

Skype recording messages and calls?

Salutations. So today I'm going to confront you with a hypothesis I've composed. Back before Skype had been bought from Microsoft, they had recorded calls and messages and stored them away. Those mentioned things would get run through their system. I've been suggested to use a proxy or an anonymizer. I don't know what either of these are, may I have an elaboration on them? But to return to the man topic and cease the digression, here are a few examples to support my theory.

first, i'm not sure what those examples are and why do you think that they may prove Skype are recording Skype messages and calls.
with regard to messages, or let us term them as chat histories, Skype may retain them in their database for a certain period of time for certain purposes. I'm not a natural English speaker, but in my own opinion, there is a big difference between being retained and being recorded (at leas in terms of the purpose).

On the other hand, there should be no reason for Skype to record your calls and video calls. Basically, I think they have no use for it and will get nothing from it. In addition, recording conversations will require additional resources, storage devices in particular in where the "recorded" calls will be saved. For a messenger with around 10-20 million (or more users) at any given time, just imagine the amount of space it will require to save your Skype calls and video calls (and assuming that they will get nothing from it).
Moreover, there may be indeed ways to record calls and video calls, but it can be done by using third party software and can be done by Skype users to other Skype users only.

Fail Messages and Calls - iOS5.0.1

Hey Apple,
I have been having problems sending out messages since the update.
It shows "Sending" and nothing else , about 6 minutes later , Message sending failure pops out , and the phone was trying to search for the carrier .
I found out that , everytime, right after it searches the carrier , the messages and calls are successful. But if I am late for about 6~7 secs after the search , everything bounds back to the same problem - FAIL CALLS AND MESSAGES.

Depending on your carrier, you may be able to see recent calls by logging into your account on the carrier's web site, if they offer such a feature, though incoming calls being shown is not usual. There will, as diesel said, be no way to see messages already received, either SMS/MMS or iMessages, without having the phone.

Restoring Only Text Messages and Phonecall History From Backup

Hello,
I just restored my iPhone and I was wondering if there was a way to restore only text messages and phonecall history from my back up this morning.
The backup is located on my Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard if that helps. Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the discussions,
you can only restore the whole content of the backup, at least that's what is supported by Apple. There is software out there letting you read and extract parts of your backup, for example photos, but you'll have to use this on your own risk. Whatever you do, make sure to back up your backup folder before, or use Time Machine to do it for you.

Hi! Please help. I have synced my IPhone 5 to Itunes. When I try to sync it to Iphone 6 plus, only the contacts, calendar, safari bookmarks and notes have synced to the latest date. The rest like SMS and Call History have only synced to June 2013.

I upgraded from an iPhone 4S to iPhone 6 Plus, I don't like to run iTunes, and iCloud backup is not so reliable, I think. Then I searched on the Internet, and some articles told me that I can directly transfer data from Phone to iPhone with some tools.
I doubt it first, then I gave a shot on one of them for the free trial. I follow the steps to transfer about 200 sms from my 4S to 6 Plus, and it works!

Where can I find detailed instructions on transferring message and call logs ?

I failed to find good info on this using search etc. I switched from Droid X to Galaxy Note 3 recently. On Verizon Cloud, it tells I have the logs uploaded but my Galaxy Note 3 does not display them and I am unable to download the logs into my new phone from Verizon Cloud. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you Tominque. Here is the update: I misunderstood the restore phone option as going to factory settings after I had used my phone for a few days and feared to touch it. However, later I saved some of the stuff on my phone and took a chance after talking to one of your helpful reps and it worked. I got my messages and call logs into my phone, happy ending. It would be nice if there is a little more explanation on the Verizon Cloud.
