Curve won't sync with Microsoft Outlook anymore

All of the sudden today, my phone won't sync with Outlook.  It starts to sync and a box pops up that says "Blackberry Desktop Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close".  It is stopping in the sync during the calander and it keeps stopping at "record 95 of 2403 records".  Then a box pops up asking if I want to send the error to Microsoft, which I did.  When I went to their link they said the problem is with RIM.
Any suggestions for me are very much appreciated!
Thanks,
Amy

Hi and welcome to the forums!
You have a corrupt record in Outlook calendar, is it stopping on near the exact record.
Use this procedure to provide a resolution. Instead of address book use calendar. For Intellisync

Need some help: my itunes won't sync with my iphone anymore. Both softwares are up to date and I've reinstalled itunes. After I reinstall, it syncs. But then when I reboot my computer, it no longer syncs anymore and I have to keep reinstalling itunes. Thoughts???

thought that it was possible to have the same iTunes library on any machine that was authorised, a kind of cloud-iTunes I guess.
That would convenient, but sadly it is not the case. Sorry!
Either way your welcome and best of luck!

  • Is there an App that will sync with microsoft outlook calender?

Is there an App that will sync with microsoft outlook calender?

OK here is a problem I have with my calender- all the events are added mutible times for each event- at least 4 of each. So how do I get all of these mutiable events down to just one event. Now this also includes hollidays and personel events  on the calender from outlook. All this I think happened after sync to Cloud- not sure, could have happened after OS 5 update!!! Now this is on my iPhone 4. Now going to my calender on my home computer in outlook no events or holidays are showing in the outlook my calender. If I go to the icloud calender it has mutiable events and holidays like on my iPhone. Now how do I fix this without causing a problem with my other programs?

  • Putting pressure on BB/Rim to reintroduce USB syncing with Microsoft Outlook

Is there some way that we can put pressure on BB/Rim to reintroduce USB syncing with Microsoft Outlook? I work in a world where over-the-air or cloud services are unacceptable because of the security risks, either real or perceived. I know there are many other people like me. I can't believe that, after having made such monumentally stupid and high-profile mistakes in the past, BB/Rim has now decided to alienate so many loyal BB customers by dispensing with such a simple transfer mechanism. The Z10 is a beautiful machine but the lack of synchronicity is getting in the way of my doing business. Judging by some of the posts I've seen, there are quite a lot of others who feel the same way. Assuming that BB/Rim executives were not  drunk, stoned or brainstem dead when they came up with this stupid plan to do away with USB syncing, is there any action we can take to make BB/Rim aware of the rapidly escalating damage they are doing to their own brand? After all, if the Z10 fails, it's difficult to see what long-term future there will be for the company anyway, so you would think that BB/Rim wouldn't want to chuck their future away, would you?

The best way is to call O2 and ask for this issue to be escalated to BlackBerry Tech Support, they need to hear from the carriers as well.
I'd also drop a line to BlackBerry at www.blackberry.com/contact

  • My BB Curve won't synch with my computer anymore.

My BB Curve won't synch with my computer anymore. Seems like it happened when I downloaded the new version of BB Desktop software a few weeks ago. I need some help, please.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

  • Curve won't sync with Outlook Calendar 2007

    First the specs:
    BB 8330m (CDMA) - Cellular South - running v 4.5.0.127
    Win XP Pro SP3
    Outlook 2007
DM is v  5.0.0 B28 Multilanguage - With Media Manager
    No BES
    The problem:
Although the phone and Outlook Calendar had been able to sync (either through Bluetooth or USB) for ages without problem, that, clearly, is no longer the case.
There is no error message.  Contacts, Tasks, and Notepad (also through Outlook) still sync without problems. Checking the sync log with all categories set to sync shows that all programs did sync, without making any mention of the calendar.  If you sync with only the calendar checked, no log is created, and the sync bar pauses for only a few seconds at the One Moment Please ..... stage and then blinks off. This is not a shared calendar.
Steps already taken, in no particular order:
Insured that appropriate email address set as CICAL, and deleted any other CICAL service books.
    Reset Configuration for sync
Tried different USB ports (although, as stated, other programs sync)
From Control Panel- Add/Remove Programs, repaired DM.
From DM Backup and Restore: Backed-up BB, then deleted all entries in Calendar-All
Confirmed that H-Key Current User and Local Machine had appropriate permission
    Deleted Intelisync Folder
Insured that Microsoft Outlook was set as default email in Internet Options
Hard resets of BB and frequent reboots of computer throughout the process.
There were probably a couple of other simple steps taken which I have forgotten to list.
Last effort: Uninstalled and Reinstalled DM while simultaneously hard resetting BB.
One other thing which is probably not related but I pass it on in case:
Whereas while trying all of the above, I was using only the "Personal Folders\ Calendar" for the specific purpose of ruling out this failure to sync issue, I have always previously synced two calendars: PersonalFolders\Calendar and PersonalFolders\Calendar\SubCalendar, with this subfolder calendar set as the default.  Thus anything I put on my BB calendar synced to Subcalendar on the PC, while both Calendar and SubCalendar from the PC synced to the single calendar on the BB.  Trying to set that up again after all of the steps above had failed, I see what may be an issue.  While in the Folder Mapping window, it says Calendar <---> 2 Mapped Folders, left of the Map Folders button, it says 1 folder(s) mapped.  Now I assume that it says this because one calendar is a subfolder of the other, but I throw it out there just in case it is, in fact, significant.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions you might offer.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Try deleting all the "email_address [CICAL]" service books and sync after that.

  • Ipod classic won't sync with itunes 11 anymore

My ipod 160gb classic died from a low battery, so i connect it to my computer, and then a strange white screen with a exclamation mark pop up saying 'do not disconnect', and then itunes suggested me to restore it, taking precaution, i went ahead and did that, but now itunes won't sync music to my ipod anymore, i think it has something to do with enable disk use being checked, but it won't let me uncheck it, i don't know what to do, someone please help!

Unclick Manually Manage Music and Videos, which is right above Enable Disk Use.  You can then click on Enable Disk Use.  I had the same problem as you and that fixed it.

  • Sync with Microsoft Outlook

I recently updated to the new software version for my 8330 curve. Prior to updating I have had no problems syncing with Outlook. Since the update I am getting an error when the sync process tries to sync my Tasks. I do not sync both ways but rather sync from my BB to Outlook. I get an error window that says there is a "connector specific error" and when I view the log in Desktop Manager, at the end of the log it lists the following error message "Internal Error #4238 Translation Canceled!" Everything syncs fine except for my Tasks. I can uncheck the Tasks sync function and it works fine. PLEASE HELP!!!

try resetting sync settings and restting back up sync settings and try again

  • Ipod Nano (3rd gen) not syncing with Microsoft Outlook 2007

I previously upgraded computers and now I can't sync my ipod with my outlook calendar. I upgraded to 2007. Any ideas? I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts or help. Thanks.

iTunes 11 won't even recognize my 1st and 3rd gen nanos. They've just rendered all the devices I love useless.
You can send feedback on the upgrade here:  http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html. I'm hoping enough legacy iPod users will speak up that they'll rethink and/or fix it.

  • New user here. Can I sync with Microsoft Outlook?

Brand new Driod X user here. Is there a way to set up my Droid X to sync with my Microsoft outlook contacts? While the Contact list on the Droid is nice and all when they converted over all my contacts from my Treo it messed up many of them and now I have to re-enter a lot of information and it would be easier to do that if i had my address book on outlook synced with the Droid.

  • HT1386 My iPhone 4 won't sync with my Outlook Calendar.

I want to sync my iPhone with the Outlook calendar on my PC. I use XP. I sync with a cable to my USB port. Everything else syncs okay, but my iPhone Calendar is not syncing with my MS Outlook calendar. My old entries remain on my iPhone, but nothing I've entered recently syncs to my iPhone calendar. Or vice versa. I've checked my iPhone  Calendars > Edit, all of the Calendars are checked. In iPhone settings, I've looked in Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and there is no reference to Outlook. Shared Calendar Alerts is On. Sync is "All Events." The Default calendar is Public Calendar.
The Default mail is Outlook Express. It is not syncing mail with my Outlook Express email account either, but that's a problem for another day.

This is how I got it fixed.
    First, I reinstalled iTunes
I clicked on the tab with my phone
    I clicked music
Uncheck the box where it says 'Sync Music'
    Hit apply
Recheck the box and hit apply (or sync, whichever is showing at that point)
Hopefully this fixes any problems that anyone else is having.

  • My mail won't sync with microsoft exchange account

    Macbook pro 10.8.1
I have my Mail setup to sync with a Microsft Exchange Account. All syncs between my exchange account, my iPad and iPhone. However on my laptop, old messaged that I deleted ages ago are still there. I get new mail, so I know that it is syncing at some level. When I try to delete the old messages, it tells me I cannot delete them....they are like a lingering shadow that is annoying as there are about 20 of them!

Add it as an Outlook account, but still use your full email adress as a hotmail address.

  • 8330 alltel curve won't sync with PocketMac, even after driver update

Sooo I have a blackberry curve 8330 I recently got through Alltel. I
installed PocketMac twice now, and was reading all about the FAQ's and
tech. support and it's not recognizing my blackberry. I tried syncing
and it said the "error 1: skipping" thing. I also downloaded the
"driver update" and it's still doing the same thing. It shows my phones
like charging when it's plugged in but I can't sync it. This is my
    first blackberry and I'm confused.
    Can someone help me, please?
And, does anyone know what "Enterprise Activation" is?
    Thanks

I also had problems syncing my 8330 Blackberry with my Mac with a program called PocketMac and after installing and reinstalling the program several times and syncing for hours on end (the program was just sitting their), I also spent $49.95 for PocketMac Tech Support. Still no results. I did a little more research and I found a program that I thought was easy to install as long as you follow the simple instructions and it worked great, the program is The Missing Sync for Blackberry Version 2.0.1. it cost $39.95 it is available at www.markspace.com.
