Curve won't sync with Outlook Calendar 2007

First the specs:
BB 8330m (CDMA) - Cellular South - running v 4.5.0.127
Win XP Pro SP3
Outlook 2007
DM is v  5.0.0 B28 Multilanguage - With Media Manager
No BES
The problem:
Although the phone and Outlook Calendar had been able to sync (either through Bluetooth or USB) for ages without problem, that, clearly, is no longer the case.
There is no error message.  Contacts, Tasks, and Notepad (also through Outlook) still sync without problems. Checking the sync log with all categories set to sync shows that all programs did sync, without making any mention of the calendar.  If you sync with only the calendar checked, no log is created, and the sync bar pauses for only a few seconds at the One Moment Please ..... stage and then blinks off. This is not a shared calendar.
Steps already taken, in no particular order:
Insured that appropriate email address set as CICAL, and deleted any other CICAL service books.
Reset Configuration for sync
Tried different USB ports (although, as stated, other programs sync)
From Control Panel- Add/Remove Programs, repaired DM.
From DM Backup and Restore: Backed-up BB, then deleted all entries in Calendar-All
Confirmed that H-Key Current User and Local Machine had appropriate permission
Deleted Intelisync Folder
Insured that Microsoft Outlook was set as default email in Internet Options
Hard resets of BB and frequent reboots of computer throughout the process.
There were probably a couple of other simple steps taken which I have forgotten to list.
Last effort: Uninstalled and Reinstalled DM while simultaneously hard resetting BB.
One other thing which is probably not related but I pass it on in case:
Whereas while trying all of the above, I was using only the "Personal Folders\ Calendar" for the specific purpose of ruling out this failure to sync issue, I have always previously synced two calendars: PersonalFolders\Calendar and PersonalFolders\Calendar\SubCalendar, with this subfolder calendar set as the default.  Thus anything I put on my BB calendar synced to Subcalendar on the PC, while both Calendar and SubCalendar from the PC synced to the single calendar on the BB.  Trying to set that up again after all of the steps above had failed, I see what may be an issue.  While in the Folder Mapping window, it says Calendar <---> 2 Mapped Folders, left of the Map Folders button, it says 1 folder(s) mapped.  Now I assume that it says this because one calendar is a subfolder of the other, but I throw it out there just in case it is, in fact, significant.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions you might offer.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Try deleting all the "email_address [CICAL]" service books and sync after that.

  • IPhone 3G not Syncing with Outlook Calendar 2007

Can anyone help, since updating iTunes to version 8.1.0.52 my iPhone will not sync with Outlook Calendar 2007. I have deleted itunes and re-installed as per Apples instructions and this has no effect. Everything was fine up to the point of updating iTunes. iPhone syncs with everything else just fine.
    Regards
    Phil

I am having the same problem since last update. I thought it was my wife's sync with a Nokia but after deleting that sync it still is not happening and trying to sync the calendar events for hours. Would love for iTunes to fix the problem.
Does anyone know if you can download an old version of iTunes? Regards Lee

  • My iphone won't sync with outlook calendar

My iphone 4 won't sync with my Outlook 2007 calendar.  It was working fine a couple of days ago and now it won't sync!!  Help!!!!

Does iTunes Show an error message?
How did you setup syncing with Outlook, are you syncing them via iTunes using USB or Wi-Fi or an Exchange server?
For more info on USB syncing and all of the other options, take a look at this Apple doc -> iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
If you aren't sure try setting up USB syncing again, just connect the iPhone to the computer, open iTunes, click the Info tab across the top of the screen, scroll down to Contacts and choose to sync contacts.
    Contacts
To sync contacts with your computer, choose  "Sync Contacts with" within iTunes for Windows, or "Sync Address Book Contacts" on your Mac.
You can sync your contacts with:
Microsoft Outlook 2003, Microsoft Outlook 2007, Microsoft Outlook 2010 (Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7)
    Windows Address Book (Windows XP)
Windows Contacts (Windows Vista / Windows 7)
    Address Book (Mac OS X)
Microsoft Entourage 2004, Microsoft Entourage 2008, or Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac
Note:  If using Microsoft Entourage, use Microsoft Entourage 2008 12.1.2 or later  if syncing with Mac OS X v10.6 or later. If you would like to sync data on your Mac with Entourage, enable syncing between Entourage and Address Book.
    Notes:
When syncing contacts, you can choose to sync all of your contacts or only selected groups. The option to sync selected items may not show up until after the first sync.
You can select a group of contacts to which all new contacts created on your iOS device will be added.
Additional options for syncing include syncing your contacts with Yahoo or Gmail/Google Mail.  You will need to configure it with the user name and password for your Yahoo or Google account.

  • HT1386 Just downloaded the newest version of Itunes.  Now my Iphone 4s won't sync with Outlook calendar.  Has any one else seen this?

Just downloaded the newest version of Itunes.  Now my Iphone 4s won't sync with Calendar in XP Outlook.  Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you fix it?  I've already made sure the proper check boxes are on in Itunes and tried the reset sync history.  Also re-downloaded Itunes again.  Same problem.

Well, OSX 10.9.2 is free, which should solve the iTunes problem, but 10.9.2 isn't bug free, & you'll lose the ability to run any PPC Apps if that important, as well as needing to update many Apps & Printer Drivers.

  • IPhone won't sync with Outlook calendars

My iPhone was set up and syncing fine with my work email address (Outlook 2010). Then I had a second email account added to my Outlook so that I could get within an agency's address book and such. Once that happened, it stopped syncing. I've tried clicking in iTunes to "Replace information on this iPhone" and resetting the sync history. No dice. I've tried uninstalling iTunes and Apple device support and reinstalling, and that didn't help. In iTunes I have the choice of All calendars or Select calendar, but only one calendar (called "Calendar") is my option, and it doesn't sync either of my Outlook calendars.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Just to add to this. Another thing I thought of, is:
If your outlook is connecting to an Exchange server (this includes hotmail services, MSN services and Live services) did you set up the iPhone mail account as 'exchange too'?
If so, the iTunes won't need to sync mail data, calendars and tasks with your iPhone as all of this data is stores centrically on the server. Your iPhone only pulls the last 'x amount of days' OR the exchange server pushes the last 'x amount of days' worth of data.
Because of this, there is nothing to sync. When you add a contact to iCal on the iPhone, it should sync with the server. IF NOT, check yours ync settings on the iphone mail, calendars and contacts setting for that particular account.
OTHER SCENARIO: This applies to WebDAV calendars too.
OTHER SCENARIO No 2: Read my previous post. If that doesn't work, then I would suggest referring to Microsofts Outlook KB's about external programs being blocked access to Outlooks Calendars Stores.

  • Curve won't sync with Microsoft Outlook anymore

All of the sudden today, my phone won't sync with Outlook.  It starts to sync and a box pops up that says "Blackberry Desktop Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close".  It is stopping in the sync during the calander and it keeps stopping at "record 95 of 2403 records".  Then a box pops up asking if I want to send the error to Microsoft, which I did.  When I went to their link they said the problem is with RIM.
Any suggestions for me are very much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Amy

  • Pearl 8110 will not sync with Outlook Calendar

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8110, and I upgraded the Desktop Manager, then it quit syncing with outlook calendar.  It does sync with noes, memos, addresses, but no calendar.  when the sync is getting to the calendar it says "please wait" then just kicks me out.  No error message in the log, nothing.  I even retrograded back to 4.7.0.17, but no changed.  Here is what else I have:
    Blackberry 4.5.0 Core Applications 4.5.0
    Blackberry 4.5.0 System Software Properties
    Blackberry MDS runtime Properties 4.5.0.20
The calendar is the big thing for me.  Any Ideas??
    Thanks

I just wanted to let you know that I'm having the same problem with my 8120 and it started on the 18th.  I spent 3 hours, 39 minutes, and 42 seconds on the phone with BB support yesterday with no luck and we tried every trick they could think of.  I'll certainly let you know if I find any information since I too can't live without my calendar.

  • Itune sync with outlook calendar

everytime itune sync with outlook calendar,
a calendar folder under Outlook calendar is created.
iphone only sync with the newly created blank folder
    therefore, nothing.

    Answer Jbieber16:
Normally, when I sync my HTC (Pocket PC) with my notebook, I just plug USB cord to HTC (micro USB head) and notebook (regular USB head).  Microsoft Mobile Device Center will automatically start and then sync data between HTC and notebook (sync Microsoft Outlook data, musics, photo, and Microsoft Office files in designated folder).
When sync completed, Microsoft Outlook's contacts, calendar, notes, emails as well as musics, photo, and Microsoft Office files in HTC and Notebook will be identical and updated.
Without USB cord, it can be synced via Bluetooth (cordless).
Note: I posted this question because some of my friends using iPhone told me that "data of Microsoft Outlook will partially sync to iPhone via iTune, not all data".  So I check before sync Microsoft Outlook data with my new iPad2.

  • How can I sync my iphone to my home computer (to sync with itunes music) AND my work computer (to sync with Outlook calendar)?

How can I sync my iphone to my home computer (to sync with itunes music) AND my work computer (to sync with Outlook calendar)?

Sorry iphones are meant to be sync to one iTunes media library.
You could copy your music and put it on your work computer and then sync it.
If you try to sync to one and then sync to other its going to wipe the phone and remove the old sync with the new sync.

  • Ios8 - contact and calendar notes won't sync with Outlook

After the ios8 upgrade, I have found that any note in either a contact or a calendar entry made on my iphone 5 won't sync with my office Outlook account, nor will any changes made to notes in a Contact in Outlook, update on my phone.  All worked fine pre-ios 8.  Anyone have a solution - have tried deleting accounts, re-booting, etc?  Thanks

KB23978 should help you with the "calendar not installed" problem
As for removing the facebook calendar, just go into options > advanced > service books > find "Facebook [CICAL]" and delete it

  • Device Manager not Syncing with Outlook Calendar

My calendar stopped syncing after I deleted my account at Blackberry Internet Service web site (because IT changed the server name).
Now.....my calendar does not sync with Outlook.
I uninstalled my previous version of desktopmanager & just downloaded Desktopmanger 5.0.1 for Vista w/ Outlook 2007.  My memopad is syncing fine, but not my calendar.
I tried "clearing the device database calendar" and I made sure that wireless sync is OFF.  I tried a one way sync from Outlook to my device.
    Nothing seems to work.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

No, but the contacts are ok

  • Still won't Sync with Outlook! (So much for update!)

Man this really *****. Still no fix for it syncing with outlook on my PC!
I'm seriously considering switching back to a palm pilot! I have to have to have a sync-able calendar!
It worked with an old version of itunes but then stopped working with newer versions!
Been on the the phone with tech support on 2 occasions now and they could not fix the problem!

Hmmm, I'm able to sync fine with Outlook 2003. Unfortunately, the iPhone won't sync with any Outlook versions prior to that one.
I was upset and frustrated too, but some savvy net searching yielded a fully licensed, legit copy of Outlook 2003 for less than $40. I actually like it better than previous versions of Outlook and see it as a great upgrade, and it syncs with the iPhone. Upon installation, it brought over my old Calendar, Contacts, etc. It's all there.
I've ditched using Yahoo! calendar and contacts as I never felt comfortable with putting my friends and family's information on the internet.
    Hope this helps. Cheers!
