Custom 13" mb pro purchased 10 days ago
Hey all, I bought a new macbook pro last tuesday the 6th of April but it hasn't been delivered yet, obviously the new macbook pro's have been announced this week...
I have two questions:
1. Is this likely to further delay me getting my new macbook pro?
2. Am I in a position to get the new model in place of what i ordered given I haven't yet received it?
The shop I'm dealing with here didn't even know that new models had been announced this week when I spoke to them yesterday and are being a bit useless in following up where my order is at... Can anyone offer any advice?

I ordered from JB HiFi in Camberwell and Apple was doing the custom build and sending it out to them. I called JB up again and this time was put through to the person who helped me place the order and was part of the reason I chose JB. He was much more helpful than the other people I've been dealing with and is going to call Apple and follow up firstly where the computer is and what they can do and has sworn up and down I'll get a response today. It's nice when someone actually takes responsibility - so props to him.
The new 13" does include all the updates (RAM + HDD) I was after and obviously a little more, but the only thing that is likely to really upset me is that I have paid more money than the same specs are now costing. Given the way I use computers, the additional power and battery life isn't going to be missed - it's just a value for money issue.
Thanks again for the suggestions, I may yet take them up - it'll depend how they come back to me today, I'll let you know how I go as I am sure I won't have been the only person caught in this way.

I NEED A REFUND for the conversion utility that purchased two days ago.l It is because my files consist almost completely of unusual font symbols that I cannot get into the right place on my current computer. If you did not purchase the software from Adobe directly then you can download the trial from https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_lightroom&promoid&promoid=D TEML. You can install the trial and then enter the serial number which you have already received. -
few days ago I have purchased Iphone casino games from itunes apps store. One of the game was made by the company called "ARISTOCRAT" dragan game. Usually we will get basic tokens to play the game, and if we ran out of the tokens all we need to do is going into "manu" and "setting" selete "dream" and reset that we should be able to continue play the game with same amount of the basic tokens. The one game would not let us to go back to the game. There were msg came out said" game center requires an active connection to the internet"? I didn't feel comfortable because we purchased the game for $1.99 to play for fun and not to gamble. We do have credit card on your file. We don't want to be charged alot of money for something not in our well. I need help to answer the question on the following:
1. Are we able to ever play this game again without going to internet? We don't even know which site to go to, because when we press the ok button nothing else came out to direct us to any area.
2. We only purchased the few days ago order ID: MGT74GN6V7 on 10/03/12. all the other games we purchased we were able to continue to play by doing the same setting.

I purchased my MacBook 20 days ago at a Best Buy, as the state I live in has no retail store. I see today that a new MacBook has been released with upgraded processor and video, I guess I am out of luck as far as getting the new version since I am past the 14 days?

Have you contacted Best Buy? They're going to be in a much better position to answer that question then anyone of us on the forums. I recall a story from another member saying that he was at almost 30 days when Best Buy offered to not only exchange his machine for the new model but waived the restocking fee.
I recommend visiting the store with the machine (in the box with all original material) and asking what options are available. That's going to be your best move at this point. -
Why can't I play a song I purchased 2 days ago?

New MacBook says "Not Charging" (Purchased 2 days ago)
I have a brand new Macbook pro (purchased on Thursday June 11th). This evening when I plugged in, I noticed that up near the battery icon it says "not charging" -- and sure enough I'm not gaining any charge by being plugged in. Very concerning given that the laptop is brand new...any thoughts on what this is and how to fix it?

What's the capacity / % reading on the battery, if that's above 95% it may not charge yet ?
If it's below that then Reset the SMC (System Management Controller) and see if it starts charging then.
If this doesn't fix it take it back to the store and have them check everything out. -
Please see question above, but also note, I have the Applecare Protection Plan but am unable to get through to anyone on a weekend and I desperately need to use my laptop this weekend. I can't log in at all now as I've forgotten my admin password. A few weeks ago I also changed the password on my husband's new MacBook Pro and again forgot the password. I spoke to someone at Apple and they helped me to reset it within minutes, by restarting the computer holding Command+something else (I can't remember what it was). A black screen with writing came up and I had to type in something like "password" (not sure exactly). Anyway, this was a very quick and efficient process but I didn't write it down unfortunately. Does anyone out there know what to do? Thanks in anticipation

I am not able to download the music files i purchased several days ago
My account hacked. I know that because person changed the security question but not the password. I made a purchased recently. Purchased songs and there was a previous two book purchase from Apple Store. When i try to download them to my Mac, i am receiving this error message:" This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 90 days. " I downloaded the music files on my windows and my mini ipod. Nowhere else.
I have two more Apple ID i use to purchase products.
Also is there a way to combine these two Apple IDs so all my purchases will be under one Apple ID.
