Custom aac importing bug

I use itunes on my pc and when I try to import songs in AAC custom form the program returns 2 the AAC default (128KBPS\64KBPS). the custom option does work in MP3 importing and stuff and it used to work in AAC as well but now I cant shake this bug:'(
plz help me!!!
I use win XP pro and itunes 4.9.0.17
10X 4 Ur help hope U can solve my prob :-?

Thanks for the lead Buegie, but that was not the problem for me. Neither of those files were read only, and both show having been modified today.
That feels like a good direction though. It's wierd that no error messages are generated, and it lets you go through all the steps to make the change, nothing grayed out, you click OK, then... no changes are recorded in the "Details" box, although "Custom" is displayed in the drop down menu. It thinks it's doing something, but some part of the process fails further down the line.
I've only had this computer running for a few months, but I know that I have recorded at a custom AAC setting with it within the past few months. The songs are on the hard drive. I don't know when the problem started happening, and I've made too many changes to the system to pin the cause down.
btw, path for second file should have been
....<username>\Local Settings\Application Data....

  • ITunes AAC import settings relative to QuickTime Pro settings

    QuickTime Pro has the following two additional AAC import settings that iTunes does not have:
    Quality: Faster, Fast, Normal, Better, Best
    Encoding Strategy: Average Bit Rate, Variable Bit Rate, Variable Bit Rate Constrained, Constant Bit Rate
    iTunes does have a Use Variable Bit Rate check box, though.
    Which values for these settings does iTunes use? Is it different if you have purchased QuickTime Pro? Wlll the settings in QuickTime Pro affect iTunes?
    I tried converting the same WAV file in both iTunes & QuickTime Pro. I varied the settings in QuickTime Pro, and used VBR in iTunes. The closest files that I generated in QuickTime Pro used Normal Quality with either Average Bit Rate or Variable Bit Rate (though I didn't try every permutation of settings). Both files were different than the iTunes file, however.
    Thanks for any info in advance,

    FWIW, you're not alone - I am hitting this bug too.
    version: iTunes 10.0.1 (22)
    OS: MacOS 10.6.4
    machine: iMac 27", Core i7, 8GB.
    I did find a workaround just now:
    In my experience, when you choose "Custom..." from the "Settings:" drop list, the custom settings window flickers (as in, appears/disappears) rapidly for a couple of seconds before iTunes finally crashes and you are prompted to send a support dump to Apple.
    I have found that after selecting "Custom..." and seeing the flickering custom settings window, if I very quickly hit and release Command-Tab to switch to another application (in this case Safari, with an open browser window - not sure if it makes a difference), instead of iTunes crashing, I will see iTunes bouncing away in the Dock as if it has something to say to me, and when I Command-Tab back to it, the custom settings window is sitting there, not flickering, and I have now successfully made changes to the AAC import settings in this way.
    The weird thing is, I found this out a few minutes back as I was composing iTunes feedback to Apple stating how to reproduce the bug in a Safari window, and so I was carefully noting what steps I needed to take to cause the bug... after seeing the flickering custom settings window, I Command-Tab'd away from iTunes to Safari, and in doing so stumbled upon this workaround.
    I hope this is of help to you,
    Jason

  • Availment of 50% cenvat credit on ADC (add.duty of customs) during imports

    Dear All,
                 I have a client requirement who wants to avail only 50% of ADC (additional duty of customs) during imports.
    I observed during debugging that if I manually change the sub-transation type from IP to blank, the system posts 50% of ADC amount to AED G/L Account and rest of the amount to Cenvat on-hold account.
    I wanted to ask the experts if there is any enhancement point in the program or any user exit using which I can achieve my task. If not through userexit, kindly suggest me any work-around.
    Note: The above requirement is against the legal changes that are brought in during 2006-2007 budget change that unlike the CVD components, ADC can be availed 100% during the same fiscal year and therefore I request you not to suggest me to get the same clarified from the client.

  • Custom HTML importer/exporter, how to preserve HTML id, class, style

    I need to implement a custom XHTML importer/exporter and CSSFormatResolver.
    If I for example have a p-element: <p id="p1" class="xyz" style="margin:0.7em; color:#3300FF">lorem ipsum</p>
    How do I map the HTML attributes: id, class and style in order to preserve them in the ParagraphElement in order to use them during the custom CSS cascade process and for custom HTML export purposes (the exporter needs to spit out <p id="p1" class="xyz" style="margin:0.7em;  color:#3300FF">lorem ipsum</p> again.
    1. is this mapping correct or will this interfere with internal TLF formatting:
    HTML attribute
    ParagraphElement property
    id
    id
    class
    styleName
    style
    userStyles
    2. What is the purpose of FlowElement.coreStyles (where are those styles applied)?
    3. What is the actual purpose of FlowElement.userStyles, are those styles just for non TLF (end developer custom) purposes or does TLF use them at any point to set the element format properties?
    4. Any other pointers or related (non flex framwork) examples are welcome
    Thanks.
    Cheers, Benny

    Your mapping looks correct to me for id and styleName.
    I think what you are saying about style mapping to userStyles is correct.  Yes userStyles is an object of key value pairs holding all the non-TLF styles for a FlowElement.  coreStyles holds all the TLF styles for a FlowElement. TLF does use userStyles itself for the linkHoverFormat, linkActiveFormat and linkNormalFormat styles.
    Setting FlowElement.userStyles TLF will replace the current set of userStyles with those in the supplied Object.  That Object will be treated as a dictionary of stylenames and values.
    Normally I'd expect you'd use the FlowElement.setStyle API which figures out if a particular style belongs to coreStyles or userStyles and then sets the new style appropriately without changing the others.

  • How do you produce both Customs Export & Import documentation in an STO?

    Hello All -
    How do you produce both Customs Export & Import documentation in an STO scenario? For instance, if a company would like to create a STO in SAP to move materials from one plant to another and would like to produce both the Export & Import paperwork in GTS, what documents would be needed in R/3 to make this possible?
    Would the following be needed, or is there some other way?
    - STO
    - Outbound Delivery & F8 Invoice to generate the Customs Shipment in GTS for the Export documentation
    - Inbound Delivery to generate the Customs Declaration in GTS for the Import documentation

    Thanks Sameer -
    Yes, for the Import documentation, I think we will be declaring prior to Goods Receipt, so we will first use the Inbound delivery, and then the GR document later on once the materials have been received. (I believe you and I were talking about some of this in another thread actually.) Thank you for confirming this.
    As for the Note, I have also seen this - but thought that this was to more or less give visibility to the sending plant up-front at STO of what export licenses might be needed. (According to the note, currently they would only be able to check if licenses were needed at the outbound delivery, and not on the PO)
    Per the note: "Given a Stock Transport Purchase Order scenario: Plant A in Germany issues a STO PO against vendor plant US10 in the US. GTS looks at the PO in terms of importing from the US (departure country) coming into Plant A in Germany and performs compliance checks. Meanwhile, exporting plant US10 only has visibility at outbound delivery creation to see if am Export License is needed. Exporting plant US10 may want to know if they need a license to the country of destination, in this case Germany, at STO PO creation."
    However with the proper country-level export/import activation of the legal regulations, I believe that you can still have the STO check export-related licenses even though it is mapped to GTS as IMPORD. I have done some testing on this and it appears to work (you just need to ensure that you are activating the relevant countries for export/import properly in the legal regulation, and you can have both export & import documents check the same legal regulation and deliver the correct license determination). I was just wondering if you had any experience with this that was contrary to what I have found, or if there is something you think I am missing..
    Thanks

  • Basic customs and import cess flowing in MIGO

    Hello ,
    At present basic customs and import cess are flowing in the MIGO document,. The requirement is not to display the basic customs and import cess to flow.
    Please let us know the config related to it
    thanks

    Hi,
    In import business process we have 8 component.
    Basic Price
    Custom duty                  -
    > none- CENVATABLE
    Ed cess on custom duty -
    > none - CENVATABLE
    High Ed on Custom duty  -
    >  none - CENVATABLE
    CVD                 -
    > CENVATABLE
    Ed cess on CVD -
    > CENVATABLE
    High Ed on CVD -
    >  CENVATABLE
    Additional Custom duty -
    > CENVATABLE/none -CENVATABLE
    when ever you will create GR for import PO, entire cost occuring at custom office will be loaded to material cost out of which CVD, Ed cess on CVD, High Ed on CVD CENVATABLE and Additional Custom duty exception for which some company take credit for Additional Custom duty and some company they dont take credit for Additional Custom duty.
    at GR level system will generate document.
    Stock account
    GR/IR acct.
    friegt acct.
    this the way any standard system is configured.
    you have to decide whether marial is CENVATABLE or not, if it is CENVATABLE then CVD posting will take plane if it is not then only custom duty posting will only take place.
    hope this info. will helps you to post your GR.

  • Nwrfc 0.0.5 with important bug fix!

    I have just pushed version 0.0.5 of the new gem to rubygems.org (you can also access the latest repo at GitHub).
    0.0.5 introduces an important bug fix in Table#each. Previously only the first row would continuously be returned. Now you can actually treat a Table like an Enumerable!

  • I believe I found an import bug in LR 5.4

    I believe I've uncovered an import bug in Lightroom 5.4 under Mavericks.  I noticed a folder with 19 photos and videos, but LR was only showing 18.  So I tried synchronizing the folder, and still only 18 were found.  So, in the import screen I unchecked "Don't import suspected duplicates", and it still would not import.  So, I removed the folder containing the photos from LR, then re-imported them, and still only 18 photos!
    So, the .jpg file listed here will NOT import into LR regardless of my efforts.  The mp4 imports just fine.  It seems like a bug pertaining to files with the same name but different extensions, or something similar.  Here are the file names:
    bernie3_blue_baby_shopping_walmart-09-2.mp4 - IMPORTS OK
    bernie3_blue_baby_shopping_walmart-09-2.jpg   - WILL NOT IMPORT

    I’m not sure it’s a bug but rather by design. For example if you do external editing from Lightroom in Photoshop the word Edit is automatically added to the tiff or PSD file with the same name. Simply change the file name for the jpeg and it will import. LR does permit jpeg and raw files with the same name but it requires enabling in the prefs. I assume there is no similar pref setting for videos, as they would always be numbered separately when importing directly from a camera card; so the situation would never usually arise.

  • IDML Import Bug?

    Hi All,
    Just wondering if anyone can reproduce what appears to be a CS4/CS5 IDML import bug.
    I typed
    11
    22
    33
    44
    55
    (first 3 digits in bold) then tagged "22" as an XML element before exporting an IDML file.
    When the IDML file is imported, I get
    11
    22
    33
    44
    55
    (all digits in boldface except for the trailing 2.)
    The problem seems to be on the import side of CS4/CS5 since the exported IDML looks okay to me:
    <ParagraphStyleRange AppliedParagraphStyle="ParagraphStyle/$ID/NormalParagraphStyle">
         <CharacterStyleRange AppliedCharacterStyle="CharacterStyle/$ID/[No character style]" FontStyle="Bold">
              <Content>11</Content>
              <Br/>
         </CharacterStyleRange>
         <XMLElement Self="di2i7i6" MarkupTag="XMLTag/Story">
              <CharacterStyleRange AppliedCharacterStyle="CharacterStyle/$ID/[No character style]" FontStyle="Bold">
                   <Content>2</Content>
                   </CharacterStyleRange>
                   <CharacterStyleRange AppliedCharacterStyle="CharacterStyle/$ID/[No character style]">
                   <Content>2</Content>
              </CharacterStyleRange>
         </XMLElement>
         <CharacterStyleRange AppliedCharacterStyle="CharacterStyle/$ID/[No character style]">
              <Br/>
              <Content>33</Content>
              <Br/>
              <Content>44</Content>
              <Br/>
              <Content>55</Content>
              <Br/>
         </CharacterStyleRange>
    </ParagraphStyleRange>
    Comments anyone?

    Hello Larry,
    i am the developer of the IDMLlib http://idmllib.com/ a Java library which is able to read/modify/create IDML.
    I have also noticed some strange behavior regarding the importing of IDML, where the order of elements affect the parsing of the IDML in CS4/CS5.
    My first thought was, i have created an invalid IDML, but the IDML Relax NG compact schema is very explicit, order doesn´t matter.
    The best example i have at hand, which is very easy to reproduce is the TabList. A valid tablist attached to ParagraphStyleRange for example looks like this:
    <TabList type="list">
        <ListItem type="record">
            <Alignment type="enumeration">LeftAlign</Alignment>
            <AlignmentCharacter type="string">,</AlignmentCharacter>
            <Leader type="string"></Leader>
            <Position type="unit">144</Position>
        </ListItem>
    </TabList>
    If you change this by moving the Position to the top, which is no problem regarding the schema which doesn´t enforce a strict order of the elements:
    element Alignment { enum_type, TabStopAlignment_EnumValue }&
    element AlignmentCharacter { string_type, xsd:string }&
    element Leader { string_type, xsd:string }&
    element Position { unit_type, xsd:double })
    So if you change this example to this, and reimport the IDML into CS4/CS5 INDD the <Position/> will not be parsed and you wont see a TabList
    <TabList type="list">
         <ListItem type="record">
            <Position type="unit">144</Position>
             <Alignment type="enumeration">LeftAlign</Alignment>
             <AlignmentCharacter  type="string">,</AlignmentCharacter>
             <Leader type="string"></Leader>
         </ListItem>
    </TabList>
    If you export this again as IDML the <Position/> if set to 0
    I circumvented this problem by forcing the creation of TabList Items with a constructor that will only allow to create TabListItems with all values present and therefore i can force the order of the created childs. But i think this will not be the only problem where parsing doesn´t do what it is supposed to do.
    There has been a posting from a guy complaining about different import results regarding the attribute order of IDML element:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/637711
    I will try to reproduce the behavior you decribed.
    Cheers, Andreas

  • FB3 Beta 3 - another organize imports bug

    I'm getting lucky :-) Here is another organize imports bug in
    FB3 Beta3...
    If you have some simple hierarchy where base class defines
    public (or protected) method, and sub class tries to override this
    method you will encounter this bug. Let say that base class looks
    like this:
    package test {
    import flash.display.Shape;
    public class BaseClass extends Shape {
    public function BaseClass() {
    public function myMethod():void {
    trace("In BaseClass.myMethod()");
    and that sub class looks like this
    package test {
    public class SubClass extends BaseClass {
    public function SubClass() {
    super();
    Now, if you try to override myMethod() from BaseClass and
    start typing in subclass something like
    override public function m
    and use Ctrl+Space, FB will insert appropriate method but it
    will also insert errorneous import statement like this:
    import test.BaseClass.myMethod;
    So you will end up with sub class which looks like following:
    package test {
    import test.BaseClass.myMethod;
    public class SubClass extends BaseClass {
    public function SubClass() {
    super();
    override public function myMethod():void {
    Wrong import is correctly marked as error but issuing
    "organize import" does not remove it so it must be removed
    manually.
    Regards,
    Damir Murat
    PS: Sorry for bad code formatting but there is no option for
    inserting in-line code and attach code is a little bit
    awkward.

    Damir Murat,
    Did you already file a bug for this? If not, would you mind
    adding it to the public bug base so we can track the issue.
    Thanks,
    Peter

  • Address Book contact importing bug

    Bug reproducing sequence:
    1) Create any smart-group in the Address Book
    2) Double-click that group's name to rename it
    3) Command-Tab from Address Book leaving it in status waiting to enter new smart-group's name
    4) Double click on any .vcf file to import a new contact into Address Book
    5) You'd be forwarded back to Address Book with a window offering to confirm contact's import
    Bug itself:
    Pressing the Add button actually imports a new contact to the Address Book, but does not close this pop-up window. As a result you can create many copies of the same contact before you notice the problem and close this window pressing Cancel button.
    Testing the same sequence on MacMini and iMac caused creation of many Unnamed contacts and did not import a new contact at all.

    I found the solution in a different post in the community.
    You need to go into yr address book on yr MAC. Edit each contact 1 by 1... Cut (Cmd X) and copy (Cmd V) each pix back in... When you synch yr MAC and iPhone again, pix miraculously appear in Contacts and when you get a call from one of them.
    Not a fancy solution but works!...

  • Variable bit rate on importing bug in iTunes 7.5

    I have tried importing a new CD into iTunes 7.5, installed this week as an update to the previous version.
    Now each track imported comes in at variable bit rates. I cannot seem to stop this. I tried to create a custom import rate without VBR but it ignored it anyway.
    Is there a fix for this? 7.4.x and earlier versions was fine.
    Mark

    Apparently it is related to the new QuickTime AAC encoder.

  • Important bug........

    Hi.I'm using WLS 5.1 with sp 6, NT system.
    I have a servlet where I use HttpSession to store attributes (EJB). This
    attributes are recuperated in a jsp page. This behavior is correct........
    The problem starts when I establish permissions in my custom realm
    (RDBMSRealm), for a user A.
    I execute the servlet and all the process is correct, but later, if I call
    other servlet with permissions for a user B, ocurrs this situation:
    1- The custom realm try to use the last user A.
    2- This user is not valid, and then I have to introduce a other login and
    other password.
    3- I introduce the user B data.
    4- Custom realm not use this information, it uses user A information.
    5- I try to login three times, and finally the message "Credentials not
    valid......" is shown.
    It never tries to authenticate the B user. What is happening ? Do I have any
    parameter in weblogic.properties file ?
    But if I cancel the sentence... session = req.getSession(true) or I put
    session = req.getSession(false),
    the behavior is totally correct for servlets and custom realm, but the
    problem appears with the attributes for HttpSession......
    Can anybody help me ? All the help is welcome.
    Thanks and bye.

    The problem was service pack, I delete sp5 and the problem disappear.

    I don't use IIS proxy DLL.
    I tried a more simple situation and result is negative.
    WLS 5.1, sp5 and NT.
    RDBMSRealm, three tables (USERS, GROUPS, ACL_ENTRIES).
    Configuration:
    weblogic.servlet.ServletA execute paul
    weblogic.servlet.ServletB execute mike
    Two servlets (A, B) with this code:
    ------------ servlet A --------------
    public class servletA extends .... {
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res) {
    PrintWriter out;
    HttpSession session = null;
    // If I put this sentence in my code although I don't use session
    for nothing, the next call to
    // the other servlet not work correctly. If I delete this sentence
    the behavior is correct.
    session = req.getSession(true);
    res.setContentType("text/html");
    out = res.getWriter();
    out.println("<HTML><HEAD></HEAD>");
    out.println("<BODY><H1>Hello World</H1></BODY>");
    public class ServletB extends HttpServlet {
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res) {
    PrintWriter out;
    res.setContentType("text/html");
    out = res.getWriter();
    out.println("<HTML><HEAD></HEAD>");
    out.println("<BODY><H1>Bye, Bye World</H1></BODY>");
    The execution is like this.
    I open my browser and write the URL: http://localhost:7001/ServletA
    CachingRealm captures the request and delegates it to RDBMSRealm.
    The browser opens his form authentication and I write paul, passA.
    Request is capturated, managed and user is authenticated. HelloWorld
    appears........in browser.
    I write the next URL: http://localhost:7001/ServletB
    CachingRealm captures the request and delegates it to RDBMSRealm. It tryto
    authenticated user paul (correct). User paul doesn't have permission to
    visit Servlet B, so browser opens his form authentication.
    I write login and password for user mike, who has permission to execute
    ServletB.
    Request is capturated, managed but it never try to authenticatemike.....it
    uses always user paul information....
    If I delete the sentence session = req.getSession(true) then the behavioris
    correct. When I write login and password for user mike, the text Bye, Bye
    World appears.....using the same custom realm.
    I only delete the sentence which reference the session and all is correct.
    Please help me. Use this simple servlets, register them, use RDBMSRealm
    example and comprobe it. It's important.....
    Thanks a lot.

  • Custom icon editor BUG

    If you use a custom Icon editor (as shown here and here), and you want to create a smaller Icon this will be meaningless.
    Because the lv_icon interface only allows you to generate the 2-colour and 256 colour icon. The 16 colour icon will be untouched so the total size of the icon will still be 32x32 pixels.
    I consider this a serious bug in the lv_icon customization scheme.
