i need create a new reponsiblity and custom a new application in ebs 11i using oaf
The oaf guideline provide extension and personlization to ebs 11i ,but not provide information about custom a new application.
for example
i want to create a new responbility a kind of employee. and develop a report in oaf for them.what can i do ?
thank you for suggestion~~Hi,
command to check the processer details
cat /proc/cpuinfo (or)
grep flags /proc/cpuinfo
if the results contain lm (long mode) then it is 64 bit processor
"uname -a" should give details of OS
If the results contain
- x86_64 => 64-bit OS
- i386 and i686 => 32 bit OS
Since your result contain x86_64, it must be 64 bit OS

Creating a Custom Application in Applications 11i
Am on 11.5.10.2
To create a Creating a Custom Application in Applications 11i...
i having a doubt in this.. plz explain me...
Apply ADX.E.1 and add the entry to topfile.txt as a standard product top
entry (follow the existing model in the file)
which means suppose i need to add CUSTOM_TOP, i have to add following entry in top.txt file right..
CUST /sidapp/sidappl
Customised environment variables can be added to AutoConfig by using the filename specificed by s_custom_file, which is then called from theAPPSORA.env file. If using Forms Listener Servlet, you may also need to add $CUSTOM_TOP to formsservlet.ini in $APACHE_TOP/Jserv/etc
can anybody explain wats the meaning of above sentence....HI
I need to create a CUSTOM_TOP
Edit topfile.txt file under $APPL_TOP/admin to have the following entry:
cust /u01/oracle/testappl
Where:
- abc is your custom top directory
- /u01/oracle/testappl is absolute path of your APPL_TOP
In APPSORA.env
# Source the custom file if it exists
customfile=/testAPP/testappl/customTEST_HOSTNAME.env
if [ -f $customfile ]; then
. /testAPP/testappl/customTEST_HOSTNAME.env
fi
. /testAPP/testora/8.0.6/TEST_HOSTNAME.env
. /testAPP/testappl/TEST_HOSTNAME.env
In this file i suppose to replace customfile=/testAPP/testappl/customTEST_HOSTNAME.env with CUSTOM_TOP=/testAPP/testappl/customTEST_HOSTNAME.env
or
i have to add seperate
CUSTOM_TOP=/testAPP/testappl/custom/11.5.0

How to invoke ADF custom application from existing R12 EBS application
Hi Guru's,
We have a requirement to invoke ADF custom application from existing EBS R12.1.3 application.
Is there any documentation provided by ORACLE or any online help on how to integrate/invoke ADF pages from existing EBS application?
And can we pass any EBS session level parameters like(user info, language, operating unit etc) to ADF layer while invoking the ADF application?
I have thoroughly searched the forums and got some info related to JAAS security links and all. but i am looking for exact integration specific steps.
Any help in this regard is a great help!!
Thanks alot for your help!!

Customer Data Hub Required for EBS 11i?
Is the Customer Data Hub required for EBS 11i to work correctly? It appears to be a supplemental product and not a required core product.
Oracle Customer Data Hub (CDH) is not a mandate for EBS users. However, it solely depends on the Organizational needs. If an Organization decides to have SSOT (Single Source Of Truth) for it's customer data they can go with CDH solution.
CDH is a complete packaged solution that allows companies to create a single, enterprise view of their customer base, by consolidating/synchronizing customer data from heterogeneous systems into a central, operational, data store. CDH alone will not suffice the requirement. CDH ties with Oracle Customers Online (OCO), Customer Data Librarian (CDL), and the Oracle Trading Community Architecture (TCA) to create a robust, scalable, central repository of duplicate-free, enriched data across a heterogeneous landscape.
Hope this helps.

Best approach to synchronize data from custom application database to EBS
Hi All,
We have requirement to synchronize data between custom application database and EBS database. Thw two database is on different location connected by 128 kbps connection.
The synchronization will do the following task :
- Download customer table from EBS (I have checked there are only 2000 rows of it)
- Up load billing data to EBS auto invoice interface table
The question is :
What approach is the best way to do this synchronization task ? some that come into my mind :
- create database link and run stored procedure to do the batch update ?
- for Customer synchronization, is it a good idea to create Materialized view so that any update to EBS customer data will be updated, refreshed nightly
- or is ther any better approach ?
Thank you very much,
xtantoHi,
There are two direction of synchroonization that should be done :
- RECEIVE Customers data from EBS into Custom Billing Database -> Yes, this can be done via materialized view
- SEND Billing data from Custom Billing Database into EBS database (Interface table)-> this cannot be done with materialized view
--> so how is the best way to do this under limited bandwidth (128 kbps) ?
Thank you very much,
xtanto

EBS 11i custom report format in Excel
We have developed Oracle EBS 11i custom reports in PDF / Text output format for a Customer. Now, the customer wants all of them to be converted into excel format since they want to do some data manipulation on the output. Are there any tools / utilities to quickly take care of this conversion?
The output has to look like an authentic excel file with proper pagination / headers etc. Any help is appreciated.

The same query is running fine with apps user. What are the objects privileges required for the custom module user?.I have found resolution for this.
1. Created the Public Synonym for the following Apps user Java Class objects:
/109a284b_OracleXMLStaticQuery
/12249373_OracleXMLStaticQuery
/c33162ba_OracleXMLStaticQuery
2. Execute privilege for Apps.DBMS_XMLQUERY to custom application user.
Thanks.

How to create a custom application in Fusion Apps release 4 ?
Hello Experts,
My project has a requirement to define a custom application in Fusion Apps, the one that is equivalent to fnd_application from EBS.
Any document or note explaining the creation of custom application in Fusion and its association with Unix directory structure would be of great help.
Kindly share the experience if any of you have worked on the same and have anything documented.
Thanks in advance. You are asking in red wrong forum. Try an EBS forum.

Hi,
I am upgrading our EBS 11i database (9.2.0.5.0) to 9.2.0.8.0 by following note : 216550.1 (Interoperability Notes Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle9i Release 2 (9.2.0)).
I have installed Opatch 2617419 and then installed 6880880 (p6880880_101000_WINNT.zip) (OUI patch).
While applying Windows patch 6 (5916268) ,using opatch I am getting the following error:
OPATCH_JAVA_ERROR=OPatch Exception while trying to check for Mini Patchset
Cannot check bug/file conflict and component prerequisite checks.
ERROR: OPatch failed during prerequisite check.
OPatch returns with error code = 150
Any help to resolve the issue is appreciated.
I saw note +'OPATCH_JAVA_ERROR=OPatch Exception While Trying to Check for Mini Patchset' while applying patch using opatch 1.0.0.0.x [ID 971783.1].+
There are no '&' in the inventory file. There are a lot of '<'. I dont know if this note is applicable.
Thanks

I am getting issue while applying Windows patch 6 using opatch.
