Custom BADI dump

I have defined a BADI through Tcode SE18. And also implemented it.
In my custom program, at the start-of-selection event, I have used CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_instance to create a instance of the BADI.
But its not creating a instance of the custom badi. Its dumping while calling the method exit->calculate.
I came to know the reason for dumping that table V_EXT_ACT is not populated with records.
Can anyone suggest regarding on this how to solve.

I think what you need to do is find what exits or existing BAdIs are available for the transaction. Then in the user exit you can call your customized code. That way you avoid changing SAP's code for the transaction. You can find BAdIs related to purchasing by going to transaction SPRO and then following this path:
Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Business Add-Ins for Purchasing

How to link a custom BADI with standard report.

Hi All,
I have a requirement to create a Custom BADI and to link it through the Standard Program. How to do this. As i cannot modify Standard Program.
I have put some checks in custom BADI, which i want to be done before anyone runs standard program. I have a doubt of how to do this in between (before executing Standard Program) as i cannot use my Custom BADI in Standard Program. Then how to trigger the BADI and where. Is there any way to accomplish the same ?

How to merge standard and Custom BADI into one BADI..

I have two BADI's.
1) standard BADI
2) Custom BADI
I need to merge these two into a single BADI. Is that Possible.

Custom badi problem when imported from 4.6C to 4.7

I have the following problem. I imported a custom badi from release 4.6C to a 4.7 and I see a new attribute INSTANCE_FLT_CACHE inside the generated class which is not defined inside the class private section. As a result I get a syntax error .
What can I do?

If it is an istance attribute you can declare it using the DATAstatement.
If it is a static Attribute, the contents of static attributes define the state of the class that is valid for all instances of the class. Static attributes exist once for each class. You declare them using the CLASS-DATA statement. They are accessible for the entire runtime of the class.
All of the objects in a class can access its static attributes. If you change a static attribute in an object, the change is visible in all other objects in the class.
The technical properties of instance attributes belong to the static properties of a class. It is therefore possible to refer in a LIKE addition to the visible attributes of a class through the class component selector or through reference variables, without prior creation of an object.

Encountering ORA-39000: bad dump file specification while using datapump

I am trying to use datapump to take a export of a schema(Meta_data only). However, I want the dump file to be named after the date & time of the export taken.
When i use the following command -- the job runs perfectly.
expdp system@***** dumpfile=expdp-`date '+%d%m%Y_%H%M%S'`.dmp directory=EXP_DP logfile=expdp-`date '+%d%m%Y_%H%M%S'`.log SCHEMAS=MARTMGR CONTENT=METADATA_ONLY
However, I want to run the export using an parfile. but if use the below parfile, i am encountering the following errors.

Use the SAME format (with the %U) that you used for the export.
This:

Calling custom badi in standard transaction

Hi,
Badi is used for enhancements . To enhance the sap standard things there will be some badi definitions avilable .
To activate that definitions we have to implement the badi.Some times we will define the badi in se18 and we will implement in se19. How can we call the custom badi which are created and implemented by us in standard transaction.

The custom BAdI will be called when the BAdI definition is getting called.
You can put a breakpoint in any method of your custom BAdI, if the BAdI definition is getting called then it will stop at your breakpoint.
You can also check the BAdI definitions which are getting called by putting breakpoint at method get_instance of class cl_exithandler.

How to create a custom BADI definition (ECC 6.0), so that I will be able to make it filter dependent.
I need to create an implementation of the same as per Logical system name filtering for ALE processing.
I tried to create Enhancement Spot and then created BADi but not able to make it filter dependent.

I tried to create an independent custom BADI definition and make it filter Dependant.
So that I can create my own implementation and call that in a Standard BADI method.
Through SE18, it's not allowed to directly create BADI, I created an enhancement spot but while creating BADI in this process, it not giving me the option to make it filter dependent.
Is there any special process to create an independent BADI definition & to make filter dependent in ECC 6.0.

ORA-39000: bad dump file specification in 11gRAC environment...

Hi All,
I am having two version of Database. Source database is non-RAC environment and target is having RAC environment. I want to perform expdp from 10g and impdp to 11g RAC env.
expdp db is : Oracle 10.2.0.4 (Enterprise Edition) and impdp is : Oracle 11.2.0.1 (EE) RAC environment.
when I do impdp its giving error:
ORA-39001: invalid argument value
ORA-39000: bad dump file specification
ORA-31640: unable to open dump file "/home/oracle/try_1.dmp" for read
ORA-27037: unable to obtain file status
Linux-x86_64 Error: 2: No such file or directory
and the below is the syntax for impdp:
impdp system/<password>@<service_name> remap_schema=scott10g:scott11g dumpfile=try_1.dmp logfile=scott11g.log directory=mydir
Is there any specific method to do impdp in RAC?

Developer then creates an instance of the adapter class in the application program and calls the corresponding method at the appropriate time
Application program simply calls the adapter class methods; it does not know which implementations are actually being called
Adapter class methods generated by add-in management decide which implementation is to be called
Look for BAdi in IMG and in component hierarchy
Create own implementation of the add-in (complete coding for Methods) and activate
Enhancement's active components are called at runtime.

- Define an interface for the enhancement in the SAP menu under Tools-> ABAP Workbench -> Utilities -> Business Add-Ins (transaction SE18)
-Call the interface at the appropriate point in application program
-Customers can then select the add-in and implement it according to their needs

As the application developer, first task is to define an enhancement consisting of an interface & a method with a changing parameter to transfer value

Name of the interface is proposed by the system but may be changed

In order to create an implementation for the text conversion example, the add-in (in this case, the interface's method) needs to be filled with logic that converts the string. This logic will be run through every time the add-in is called from the application program

No statements can be given on the runtime behavior. Avoid making changes to the interface or the Business-Add-In definition after the transport has taken place.
-If changes to the interface are inevitable, navigate to the Class Builder for all implementing classes and clean up the method includes of these classes (Utilities > Clean up > Method includes)

Business Add-Ins
Business Add-Ins are a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
As with customer exits (SMOD/CMOD [Page 40]), two different views are available:
• In the definition view, an application programmer predefines exit points in a source that allow specific industry sectors, partners, and customers to attach additional software to standard SAP source code without having to modify the original object.
• In the implementation view, the users of Business Add-Ins can customize the logic they need or use a standard logic if one is available.
In contrast to customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-system infrastructure (SAP and customers), but instead allow for multiple levels of software development (by SAP, partners, and customers, and as country versions, industry solutions, and the like). Definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins can be created at each level within such a system infrastructure.
SAP guarantees the upward compatibility of all Business Add-In interfaces. Release upgrades do not affect enhancement calls from within the standard software nor do they affect the validity of call interfaces. You do not have to register Business Add-Ins in SSCR.
The Business Add-In enhancement technique differentiates between enhancements that can only be implemented once and enhancements that can be used actively by any number of customers at the same time.

The actual program code is enhanced using ABAP Objects. 2) Specify a definition Name : ZBADI_SPFLI
3) Press create
4) Choose the attribute tab. Specify short desc for badi.. and specify the type :

5) Choose the interface tab
6) Specify interface name: ZIF_EX_BADI_SPFLI and save.
7) Dbl clk on interface name to start class builder . specify a method name (name,
level, desc).
