Custom Bios for GX660r to enable AHCI for SSD

Hi,
I bought a sandisk ssd for my GX660r and unfortunately it is not found in AHCI mode. I know there was a bios mod made by Majster msi, but all links are down :(
It would be great if somebody could give me a link to this mod. I cannot send private messages, so I can't ask majster directly.

Actually there is an extended policy introduced with one of the previous cumulative update.
Having applied the latest CU on both server and the clients, IgnoreEnableP2PVideoPolicyInConf policy would enable the exact behaviour.
Before running the cmdlet below for a client policy, please confirm that that AllowIPVideo is set to True and EnableP2PVideo is set to False for that user.

Hello,
I upgraded my hard drive to a SSD and that is done. Laptop works fine. Installed the Samsung SSD software and it says I need to Enable AHCI to get the SSD running at full potential.
I searched the BIOS and do not see anyplace to change this. I then went to the Device Manager in Windows 8.1and I do not see any ATA/SATA controller. All I see is a RAID controller. RAID controller in a laptop?
Can someone tell me how to enable the AHCI?

Hi:
Because your notebook is a consumer notebook there is no way to change the BIOS setting to AHCI.
The BIOS is defaulted to RAID on your model series because some models come with one of those hybid drives with a SSD cache and for some technical reason those have to be configured in RAID 0 mode in order for the setup to work right.
It is my understanding that if you install the latest Intel RST driver, that is supposed to provide TRIM support for SSD's starting with the Intel Series 7 chipset, and yours has the series 8, so it should have full support for using an SSD even in RAID mode.

Disable csd for webvpn and enable csd for anyconnect

I find it very annoying that csd is being launched when I connect via webvpn, but I do need csd when I connect with anyconnect. does anyone know how to get this working?

I know this is a very old post, but I found the solution. I hope someone that stumbles upon this page will find this info useful.
As we all know, when navigating to the IP/FQDN of the ASA, as long as the URL is not matched against another connection profile, the DefaultWEBVPNGroup connection profile will be matched. The solution is to edit the connection profile DefaultWEBVPNGroup > Advanced > Clientless SSL VPN > Group URLs > Add > and here create the url of the ASAs IP (https://1.2.3.4) or FQDN (https://abc.net). Then, under "Group URLs" check to "Do not run Cisco Secure Desktop (CSD) on client machine when using group URLs ............
This will allow you to go to the main portal page and bypass CSD!!
Unfortunately, with this solution, you lose the ability to select an alias from the drop-down list.

You can check to see if SERVEROUTPUT is ON for your environment by typing the following at the SQL*Plus prompt

Dv6-6135dx - How to Enable AHCI in bios for use in Windows 7 64bit

I bought the dv6-6135dx notebook some time back.
I recently got a Solid State Disk and I would like to turn on the Trim, feature.
To turn Trim on I need to enable AHCI. There is no such option in bios. How can I turn AHCI on?
I found an unlocked version of the bios that turns on apparently disabled menus, but that may or may not corrupt the bios and I'd like to not have to resort to that.

Hello, i attempted to perform a BIOS flash with the MSIHQ tool that indicated that it was a successful flash but it still showed the current/previous E1762IG6.70O rather than the E1762IMS.10U (advised to use from Devil Tech for the GT70 0NE i have a GTX 675MX 2GB) what BIOS is compatible with my machine or do you guys recommend a custom BIOS? Hello!
I would like to request a custom bios for my laptop (MSI GE-60 2oc).
I have had problems with low CPU utilization after updating the embedded controller with official MSI firmware update. At the same time I was supposed to update the BIOS, but I couldn't, using the official driver found on MSI download center, since my system told me it's not the right version.
I wanted to try this new approach as a new bios might help, I figured. I can't find any downgrading for the embedded controller. Would a custom bios be good thing for me or am I doing this all wrong?
Current bios: E16GCIMS.509
EC firmware installed: 16GCEMS1.506
The BIOS update that did not work: E16GCIMS.611

I know got my current version of BIOS and EC by MSI support so I will experiment with them. Downgrading to EC v. 5.00 helped I think. I have started to meassure now and the thing is that my GPU seems to have a real low core clock. The GT750m is marketed as 967 mhz but GPU shark and 3DMark 11 shows that I have 405 mhz. When playing Starcraft 2 I get real low FPS considering the settings (25 fps while playing medium quality and 1080p res.) hard to find comparing stats on the net. When meassuring with 3Dmark 11 I get a 2800 score which is comparable to other machines like mine.

Custom bios for msi GE620DX

Hi, can a custom bios be made for the GE620DX that can disable the "GPU Boost Technology" and force the use of the discrete nvidia GT635m instead? Also can it be modded to change the BLCK and voltages of i7-2670QM and allow changing the fan speeds? (I would like to undervolt/overclock).

there are options to disable IGP and other kind of customizations,
however disable IGP will probably cause black screen because IGP is need to be able dedicated card to operate.

voltage no. BLCK eventually yes, but its not guaranteed that the option will works properly.

Hi Venkat,
If you are using a Custom DataSource/Extractor the main problem is that you are collecting data from a lot of tables, so it is really difficult to determine a field for the delta.
If for you is important only a change at Key Fields Table (EKBE) you can set the Generic Delta only on a field of this table (Doc Number or Position Number - Date - Timestamp).
But if you are interested in all changes you have to determine a single field for every tables...
I think it is really difficult to find a delta in all these tables.
Maybe you can think to use in BW an ODS without Reporting BEx flag to determine Delta, and then introduce delta records in a Cube.

U have to create TWO infopackages, one for Initialize Delta Process, and other for Real Time load...
Tricky thing here is, before creating Real_Time infopackage, u should load data through first infopackage (Initialize Delta Process).... Then only real time check box is enabled
