You can do it in WAD once you upgrade and also in Report Designer.

  • What are the characteristics and keyfigures you had taken in the report?

what are the characteristics and keyfigures you had taken in the report?

    Hi,
Different reports are designed for different purpose in B1 system. Regarding the key figures in the report, please check the B1 help file for more detailed information.
For example: the Inventory audit report is used for audit purpose. We are very concerned with the total inventory value for the items.

  • Difference between date info object in characteristics and keyfigure

What is the difference between "date" data type in characteristic and keyfigure?
    Thanks in advance.
    Raj

    Hi Rajasekhar,
If date is characteristics, query can be analysed based on date and filters can also be set using this date.
If it is key figure query cannot be analysed based on date,
Based on requirements,we have to decide whether it should be chatracteristic or key figure

  • Characteristics and keyfigures not filled in cube

I created the following datamodel (objects with fieldlist):
    IOBJ 0REOBJ => DSO T0910020 => CUBE T09C10120
      REOBJ        REOBJ (key)     REOBJ
      Z_DATETO     Z_DATETO (key)  Z_DATETO
      Z_DATEFROM   Z_DATEFROM      Z_DATEFROM
      ...          Z_KF_DATO       Z_KF_DATO
      ...          Z_KF_DAFR       Z_KF_DAFR
0REOBJ is filled by existing dataloads. This works correctly for a number of years already. Dataload works as 3.x.
Dataload from infoobject to DSO works correct. The DSO contains all data as expected. The date-as-keyfigure fields are correctly filled. Dataload works with a DTP process.
The dataload from DSO to CUBE appears to work correctly (green traffic-light) but only REOBJ is filled. All other fields remain empty. Also the dates-as-keyfigures remain empty. I have tried both 3.x updaterule and 7.0 transformation, both with same result.
Any clues about what I am doing wrong?

Did you check if the characteristics of your Keyfigures are filled correctly. I once had the problem that some of my key figures in the transfer rule did not contain all characteristic assigments.
Goto the transfer rule, doubleclick on "Type" of one of those keyfigures which are not filled an check, if on tab characteristics all assignments are the same as in the other key figures.
    This may be helpfull ?!
    Kind regards,
    Jürgen

  • Data and time characteristics found in character and keyfigures?

    hi all,
I can find date and time found in both characteristics and keyfigures. Can anyone tell me in which scenario we shall select date and time considered in characteristics and when shall we select date and time for keyfigures.
can anyone explain me with an scenario.
    regds
    hari

    Hi,
date and time will be key figures in the case if you want to do some calculation based on them like subtraction or multiplication ( you can do it i also thorugh formula valriables but it has it's limitation)and they are not going to be used as drilldown or for selection variables in the reports.
If you want only selection and drilldown on then then you should go for char.
    Thanks

  • Virtual chars and keyfigures

    HI All,
I have created a BADI for virtual characteristics and key figures according to a business requirement but the biggest problem is the query performance. Its taking around 15 to 20 minutes to refresh a query. I have used internal tables and field symbols in the BADI but I do not know what is causing this problem.
Could anybody suggest me? How to improve the query performance? Do I need to do any changes in the code? or anything that can be done in query level? Or taking off virtual characteristics and key figures or do physical design instead of virtual characteristics and key figures? I have done all level of query performance tuning but still same problem.
have done all kinds of analysis but still I could not find the solution.
I know this is defiantly something to be done with virtual characteristics and Keyfigures.
Is there anything new that I can do tuning for code?
    Points will be assigned.
    Thanks,
    Martin.

    dear all,
I implemented badi for virtual key figures , i am unable to stop at compute method.
could any one of you suggest me why it is not stoping at compute method while executing quesry even though i kept break points.

  • How to find out the customer exit and sap exit variables created provider?

    Hi all,
How to identify what are all the customer exit and sap exit variables are been created for an info provider. is there any tables which allow us to find out.
    thanxs
    haritha

    Hello haritha,
SAP Exit and Customer Exit variables are created for  Characteristics and not for individual InfoProviders.
So whenever the characteristic is used in the InfoProvider, by selection the appropriate variable the exit can be called.
So the same Exit can be in one or more InfoProviders.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,

  • Mapping problems with custom characteristics in CCM

    Hello,
We are on SRM5.0 CCM2.0 and I have created three custom characteristics with related OCI fields. These characteristics have been uploaded in the catalogs and mapped on schema level in supplier catalog and procurement catalog. When uplaoding items into the supplier catalogs the values of the characteristics drop their value during automatic mapping to the master catalog and procurement catalog which means that the fields are also empy during import into SRM. The fields are NOT empty in the suppleir catalog.
Can anybody help me on this one ?

    Hi Antoinette,
I have experienced the same. I created a custom characterisitic and uploaded it in the schema of the supplier catalog, master and procurement catalogue. However, once uploading the supplier catalogue the information of the custom characteristic was not mapped.
In order to solve it I mapped the full schema from the supplier to the master and from to the master to the procurement. That is to say, I mapped from the begginig the schema not only the categories but also the content. Then it worked
The characteristics are created at the schema level and consequently, unless you map (categories and content) the supplier catalogue from the very top of the schema or the information is not transmitted.
    Hope this helps.
    Kind regards.

  • Max no. of Characteristics and key figures stored in infocube

    Hi All,
What is the maximum number of characteristics and key figures that can be stored in the infocube?
    Best Regards,
    Chandan Dubey

    Alright,
Now what I know about that is max 255 chars and 255 key figures can be stored. Here I am talking about the individual planning levels (like product, product group, customer, location and so on) and not the "DATA".  I know data storage can not be defined in numbers and no significance too.
I hope my question is clearer now !!
    Best Regards,

    Hi Kiran,
Please fallow the below steps to create the custom infotype. If you have any quires let me know.
For Creation of Infotype first Go to Transaction PM01, Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create, it should be a 4 digit number and have to start with 9xxx.
then select the `Employee Infotype' radio button
after that select the `PS Structure Infotype'
then click on Create… A separate table maintenance window appears
then Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the infotype
Save and Activate the PS structure
now Go back to the initial screen of PM01
Click on `All' push button. It takes a few moments
Click on `Technical Characteristics’. Infotype list screen appears
    Click on `Change'(pencil) button
Now select your Infotype and click on `Detail' (magnifying glass) button
Give `T591A' as subtype table & also Give `T591S' as subtype txt tab
Give your subtype field as subtype field & Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
Click on `Infotype Characteristics' … Infotype list screen appears
Click on `Change' (pencil) button & on New Entries
and then Enter your Infotype number and short text Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotype's infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference

Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your

screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.

  • Query with characteristics and NO Key figures

    Hi Everyone,
I need to create a query with 3 char ... customer segment, customer type, climate zone. All are characteristics and there are no key figures.
I went through the forum reading similar posts but couldn't figure out the best way.
It can be done using Replacement path, Create formula variable with replacement path of your characteristic. Some posts also talked about writing some code.
Like to know the best way of making this query.
Can you please give me step by step procedure.
    Thanks,
    Kumar.

I thought, if there are no key figures the query designer might give an error while saving, like "no key figures defined" or something like that. Thats why I came up with the question.
I still have to document the detail requirement of user and he is not available. So just figuring out all the possibilities.

  • How to choose the characteristics and key figures for a cube

To create a CO-PA cube, based on a DataSource, what chars and kfs should I select from std objects? I have the list of fields from the datasource, but how to interpret what infoobject/s are relevant for each io?
    Hi,
For CO-PA since it is a generated DataSource, except for the common characteristics ( E.g. Company Code, Controlling Area ) where you get standard InfoObjects for all other Characteristics and Key Figures you end up creating custom or Z characteristics and key figures. This is unavoidable.
Assigning points is the only way of saying thanks in SDN
