Custom color chart reference?

Is there a way to load a custom color chart to use as a reference when using the chart option in the DNG Profile Editor?
What I would like to do is shoot a color chart with Kodachrome, then shoot the chart with my D700 and create a profile for my D700 that matches the chart shot on Kodachome.

There have been discussions about this in the other Adobe forums. I tried following them, but I'm afraid I'm not technically savvy and didn't understand some of what was said. But basically, there is no way to adjust by numbers at this point.

  • Custom Color Palette - Chart Designer

Hi all,  I need to change the colors that my pie chart uses.  You can do this in chart designer under the global settings section.  The property,  color pallete has 4 selectable entries,  Frog, Streamline, Tradeshow, and Custom.   By selecting "Custom", this means that I can choose the exact colors that I want to use, right?  If so, where and how do I specify the colors for my custom color palette.   Any reply would be appreciated.  Thanks.

    Hi Rich,
Did you go through my post here https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/profile?userid=397656 ? I`m not 100% sure that you are able to do this using only Chart Designer. The problem is that you need association between series data id in cutomization XML and data XML. If you know such id on design time, you can re-design my example by moving generated piece of XML from WD to static customizing XML.

  • Custom Color Palette for Charts

    Hi all,
Can I define the colors of a chart by a custom color palette in Design Studio (as you can do it in Web Intelligence) or does SAP intend to implement such a function in a next release? With CSS this isn't fully possible, because it doesn't allow you to coloring the additional line like the corresponding main line.
I've already seen and commented this post Re: Custom Color Palette for Charts / CSS, but it's still unanswered. Maybe I've with a new discussion more success.
    Thank you and kind regards

  • Custom color palette in WAD charts

    Hi BI Experts,
we are trying to create a custom color palette, which we want to apply to all your WAD charts.
Can anyone tell us how to do this?
Of course we can customize the colors in each chart, but that's a hell of a lot of work. Moreover, there doesn't seem to be any way to save the custom colors, but we have to recreate the colors with the color picker for every single chart.
The WAD chart wizard allows to choose between color palettes "Enjoy", "Streamline", "Tradeshow" and "User specific".
If it is not possible to create a custom color palette, can we modify one of these SAP color palettes? What does "User specific" mean?
Any help will be much appreciated (and of course rewarded with points).

  • Custom Color Palette for Charts / CSS

Is there a way of creating a custom color palette for charts (as you can do it in WebIntelligence) and install it on the tomcat?
Or will I have to set my custom colors in the css? And if so: where can I find a description of classes for Charts? Is there any description of css classes at all? All I could find was a list of classes for a crosstab (but no description).
    Thank you

  • Custom colors for Keynote charts?

I'm using the charts in Keynote for the first time, and I'm finding it surprising inflexible.
As far as I can tell, I can not choose custom colors but have to choose between a few color sets chosen by Apple. Is that right?
I would like 3 columns, with a 1, 2, 3 build order, in Red, White, and Blue. That seems pretty straightforward, but I can not see a way to make the red, white, and blue.
    thanks
    John
PS: I really don't like the way that Jony Ives has imposed his personal preference for Helvetica Neue Light all over Apple products, applications, and websites.

  • 2D Pie Charts losing assigned custom color

    APEX 3.0
I have a 2D PieChart with custom colors of Green, Yellow and Red. It is made up up 3 series, series #1 counts new orders (Green), #2 - orders in jeopardy (Yellow) and #3 - orders that missed their shipped date (Red).
If each series returns a count, then this works fine. If (for example) #2 doesn't return a row, then series #3 displays as Yellow instead of Red.
On the other hand, 3D Piecharts handle this just fine.
I personally like the 3D look, but the users want the 2D. Any advise?
    Thanks, Joe

    Hello,
    1. Use the same Chart Color Theme for your charts
    2. Change your query so it always returns the same number of rows (so always, 1 and 2 and 3), even when there is no data : then return 0.

  • How to allow custom colors to SSRS Pie-Chart?

    Hi,
     I have a pie-chart in my report.
Can anybody please tell me How I can allow custom color to each part/slice of the piechart..??or How i can assign cutom pallete to pie-chart?
    BhushanBhushan

    Hi,
I think u r using one data Field and One category Field in the Graph.
Then We have use Code Option
    -----Add this in Code
    Private colorPalette As String() = { "Teal", "Gold", "Aqua"}
Private count As Integer = 0
     Private mapping As New System.Collections.Hashtable()
Public Function GetColor(ByVal groupingValue As String) As String
            If mapping.ContainsKey(groupingValue) Then
                Return mapping(groupingValue)
            End If
            Dim c As String = colorPalette(count Mod colorPalette.Length)
            count = count + 1
            mapping.Add(groupingValue, c)
            Return c
        End Function
Finally add this Expression in the Fill Option. And we can add more colors in the Code based on no. of Category
    =Code.GetColor(Category_Field)
     for example =Code.GetColor(Fields!Zone.Value)
    Regards,
    Thiyagu
I've done everything listed here and in the link provided, but I get an error that reads, "There is an error on line 0 of custom code: [BC30201] Expression expected." I'm using SSRS 2005.
Does anyone know what this could be?

  • Apex 3.1 and Custom Flash Charts

I am having difficulty getting to the point where my custom flash charts can be displayed. I have Oracle 10.2, over OHS to Apex 3.1. I cannot post any of the config files or code here because it is a different network, so I realize it will be hard to troubleshoot; and I apologize in advance.
I would use the canned Flash charts, but my application displays data much like MS Outlook's multi-user calendar does. The chart has to be color coded, similar to Outlook's Busy vs Tentative etc. It has to show multiple events at various times, including overlapping times. And it has to handle schedules for multiple people. Lastly, there are of course gaps in the schedule, because no day is comprised entirely of meetings. That is why I felt I had to do it manually.
I wrote XML/SVG code to do this previously, with HTML DB 1.5, and it worked fine. But Flash is the way we are going now, and I can't use SVG anymore. (Besides, Adobe says SVG will no longer be supported next year.)
I followed the thread of April 07 in which MAdelfio posted suggestions, but I can't get it right. I did everything listed except I never included the <data>...</data> code, because I am not sure where it goes. I have a custom written stored proc, exactly like in the thread, and I pass it all the args that apex_util.flash wants. I get a malformed XML message when I try to display the chart. That seems like it should be a very straight forward error, but I can't figure out where to look. I have been using 1.5 for about a year, and last month upgraded to 3.1.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? Or, failing that, any simple examples that display Flash charts in which the code was generated by a stored procedure?
    Thanks,
    Michael

I'm sorry about not being able to provide all the info you need. Since it is on a totally separate network, with no access to the outside world, the only way I can do it is to print and retype everything. So I was hoping that someone could just provide suggestions as to where to look rather than providing answers. I understand that it is impossible for you to solve my problems, especially when you have been given no real information. And I don't want to keep you guessing -- I'd love to be able to just show everything and ask for help; I just can't.
Anyway, I am trying to use only those facilities provided with Apex. I do not have any 3rd party tools except for Perl. I am using the standard shockwave flash plugin for Mozilla. The way I did it with SVG was to create a stored procedure that generated an XML file. I put a button on the page that ran the stored proc and then redisplayed the page, with an HTML region. That region included an iframe, where the source was a perl script that merely regurgitated the SVG script (for some reason I could not get the iframe to accept XML as a source, so I created send_svg.pl, which merely outputted the named SVG file).
The format I followed was in this thread: Re: Custom Flash Charts
I even created a replacement proc for APEX_UTIL.FLASH with the exact output as the thread, knowing that even if it worked I'd still have a ton of work making it produce my chart. But once I can get the infrastructure right, I feel I can write the flash XML.
Maybe the easiest thing is to scan that thread I referenced and tell me if it is still accurate? That is, could anything have changed in 3.0.1, or should it still work? It is possible, maybe even likely, that I made a mistake retyping all that stuff, so maybe just verifying that it SHOULD work is a good start.
    Thanks again, and sorry again.

  • Custom color palettes

I'm looking for a way to store custom palettes within DW. I want to store and be able to call up a palette or list of custom colors for various sites. The OS color pickers are useless for this.
My company has specific hex/rgb values defined in our brand standards. I've created palettes for Photoshop & Illustrator and it's easy to load them and apply them to layers, objects, type, etc. I'd like to be able share them with Dreamweaver. If this isn't possible, then I'd like to create, store and share with other desingers.
I they can't be imported somehow from Photoshop/Illustrator, I want to be able to create and save them with custom names so I can easily call them up when I'm editing a CSS file. I've been trying to use the Assets panel but that's grayed out in the CSS file. If I use it in HTML it wants to create a new CSS declaration through a dialog which is not useful for me.
I could use Snippets instead I suppose. I've tried the Kuler extension which is quirky. It's fine for limited palettes of five colors but I need more.
I feel that either I'm missing something or this is a real gap in the Dreamweaver feature set. Any advice appreciated!

Thanks Jon. The OS color dialogs are OK for freely picking colors but I want to work with specific palettes and not have to type numbers into a dialog. What I'm doing at my day job is copy/pasting specific hex/rgb values from a brand-standards PDF reference doc. There are over 70 colors/tints so I spend a lot of time round-tripping. For other personal projects it's not so bad.
It's very frustrating that in 2013 that so many tools offer up the web-safe options by default. The web-safe concept never really worked anyway.
What I really want is to be able to establish a palette for a project at the outset and have easy access to the color values from within DW. Then, I want to be able to share palettes with other designers in the organiztion, particularly the junior members of my department. This is fairly easy in Photoshop and Illustrator but not apparently in DW.
It looks like you can associate Snippets to specific sites but each snippet is a separate xml file which is tedious to create. I've used Kuler for some projects but that has its limits.
The Assets panel looks promising since you can create sets of favorites, nest them in folders, copy them to other sites, etc. I can right-click colors in the panel and go through a dialog which adds new or redundant selectors to the bottom of my CSS file.  The problem is that the panel is disabled whenever I'm in code view so I can't edit an existing selector and simply choose a color from my Assets.
I really do appreciate all the suggestions. I keep hoping I've overlooked something.  I'll submit this to the wish list and reference this thread.

  • Customizing Colors for a pie chat in webdynpro ABAP

    1. How to select different colors in pie chart for different categories?

Hi Kishore you can customise your PIE chart if you are using the IGS.
    Chart designer
You can customize the business graphics at the design time in view designer using the chart designer as well as the run time by using the interface u2018IF_WD_BUSIN_GRAPHICS_MTD_HNDLu2019 method. The chart designer will be called from the view designer by placing the cursor on the BG UI element and then right-click to select option u201CEdit Customizingu201D.
check the following link on details of using Business Graphics in WD4A and at bottom there is customised editing step, which allows you flexibility to choose custom colors.

  • CMYK color chart/color book -- any recommendations?

    Hi folks,
Any recommendations for a CMYK color chart/wheel/book?
    Thanks

'PMS' is obsolete, it is Pantone now, and if you say just Pantone, that is ambiguous because there are all kinds of Pantone books.
The printer is not after the cmyk breakdown, if they were, you would know that they are not colour managed.
They DO NOT require the numbers!
The way Pantone Matching works, is that the swatch (printed with certain dot sizes by a particular printer) has a particular appearance in specific circumstances:
eg: *  A blueish swatch in your "Pantone coated process" book has a particular appearance
          *  You choose the swatch
          *  The Swatch appears in your swatch palette with a cmyk mix based on your working profile and a name defined by Pantone, NOT fixed numbers as you might have thought.
          *  You output a press ready PDF to the PRINTER's nominated profile, the numbers change!
This is correct behaviour... the numbers will be different at each printer's RIP because they have fine-tuned their plate screens to output a colour that is close to the ideal appearance of the reference swatch.
If you saw the colour defined as 50 Cyan plus 20 Magenta that does not mean they see the same numbers, that is exactly the point, the numbers are irrelevant which is why you don't specify colours in CMYK terms any more.  The printer might see 48 Cyan and 23 Magenta due to their using a different ink set or dot gain characteristic on their press but they will get the same visual result.
This happens because both parties (Press and Pantone) and you have looked at the same reference and calibrated their equipment to suit.
Pantone made the book, you adjusted your monitor and proofing device, the printer adjusted their press/RIP/proofer to all look alike.  Each device has a colour profile that tells the next device how it saw a colour, the colour management software converts one to the other.
There..... colour management in a nutshell of infinite size. (as per Hamlet)

  • Customizing colors for the MotifLookAndFeel

    Hello,
I am new to look and feels other than the default one.
I am supposed to provide an application with a a Motif UI with a specific color scheme (colors of text, backgrounds, menus, etc.).
Is there some API to configure Sun's MotifLookAndFeel colors?
Other than that, here are the options I can list:
    1) System config file:
I am not exactly good at Motif configuration but I guess Sun's MotifL&F bundled in the JRE will try to get the default colors from some motif.rsc or whatever it's called, in the user's home.
However I don't want to alter this file as only my application should have custom colors, I don't want toi impact other Motif apps for the same user/host.
    2) UIDefaults:
As I understand it, class UIDefaults represents a table provided by the installed LookAndFeel class, which can be changed afterwards, through the UIMAnager class. However, that doesn't force the L&F to take the changes into account. Indeed the MotifL&F doesn't seem to take any of those changes into account.
    3) Custom MotifL&F subclass
I assume I could also subclass com.sun.java.swing.plaf.motif.MotifLookAndFeel and override getUIDefaults(), but that seems awkward just to change a handful of colors and no behavior.
I'm not even sure MotifLookAndFeel fetches the color values from UIDefaults once it has initialized it...
    Any other suggestion?

Thanks but I don't feel at ease with this solution (extending a class to change its configuration, whereas the base class can be configured through a public API).
However your suggestion to peek a the code truly helped me: the names of the keys I was using in UIDefaults were simply wrong! :o)
Actually I got a list of keys from this page: http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/articles/lookandfeel_reference/index.html , but in the source for the sun.java.swing.plaf.motif classes you can see the "correct" keys (e.g. MotifMenuItemUI extends BasicMenuItemUI which uses "MenuItem.background" and not "menu").
The other good news is that the keys can be set beforehand (before actually setting the LaF): although the LaF provides its own UIDefaults, the UIManager stores them in a MultiUIDefaults, and the defaults installed via UIManager seem to take precedence...
That was more convenient in my case.
For reference here is an extract of my code:
    UIManager.put("menu", new ColorUIResource(0,250,20)); // helpless, wrong key
    UIManager.put("menutext", new Color(200,0,200)); // helpless
    UIManager.put("MenuItem.background", new Color(255,50,20)); // taken into account
    UIManager.put("Panel.background", new Color(166,255,166)); // taken into account
UIManager.setLookAndFeel("com.sun.java.swing.plaf.motif.MotifLookAndFeel");Just for convenience, does anyone know a good Web resource for the keys used by the various LookAndFeel classes, or at least the BasicLookAndFeel? Other than looking at the code for all XxxUI classes, of course :o)

This tool employs a gradient adjustment layer. In the layers palette, double click the layer thumbnail, not the name.
Then, double click the gradient bar to bring up the gradient editor.

  • ICal custom colors?

I know that recently users have been having issues with iCloud not saving calendar colors. I had this too, but that seems to be fixed. The problem is that it fixed itself in iCloud, but the custom colors don't come through to my iPhone or iPad. I've verified the custom colors in iCloud and they show up in 3rd party apps, just not in the actual iCal app. It seems to be syncing fine other than that. I can't seem to find any info on how to fix it so I don't know if it's an isolated problem or if there is even so anything I can do to fix it. Please help if you can.

I have the same problem. I have the custom colors on my mac and icloud.com, but the custom colors aren't showing on my iPhone or iPad. I'm using iPhone 5s and iPad Air.
Yes, very frustrating as I always go by the colors in the calendar. Unless enough people are having the same problem we may never see a fix. In the meantime, I'm looking at other calendars to use on my IOS devices.
