Custom color swatch

I have a custom color swatch list that I would like to have
access to from the configurator panel. Is this possible?
If so, how u do dat?
Any and all help would be appreciated.....
Happy Holidays and a Healthy and Prosperous New Year to us
ALL.

Not yet, the configurator can't drag drop swatch list now.
You can drag a "Script Button" and paste these code lines
into it, and modify the RGB color value.
Then when you click this button, the foreground color will be
changed to value you want.

  • Question about custom color swatches in Photoshop CS4 Mac

    Hello.
    I have about fifty or so custom color swatches and wanted to back them up.  Where are they located in Photoshop CS4 for Mac?
    Thank you.

    They would be stored where you saved them to.
    If you have never had the foresight to save them (Edit > Preset Manager) they would only be in the Preferences (»Swatches.psp«), I guess.

  • How do I remove/manage a custom color swatch?

    My color window is getting overly crowded with custom color swatches. How do I remove a custom color swatch?

    You do know you can drag the Motion color chooser's color swatch window to reveal a great number of squares, right?

  • Transfer or copy custom color swatches from CS3 to CS4

    Within my color swatch window in CS3 I've created several dozen custom colors. How do I get those swatches to show up in my swatch window under CS4? Where do they exist within the Photoshop CS3 folder and can I copy and paste that file into the same location in the Photoshop CS4 folder? Thanks in advance for any help.

    in the CS3 swatch panel use the flyout to save the swatches. take note where they are saved.
    in the CS4 flyout of the swatch panel load the swatches you just saved.

  • [JS] How do you set change GREP preferences to a custom color swatch?

    Hi All
    I am having difficulty with setting the 'changeGrepPreferences' to a specific color swatch in an InDesign CS3 document.
    The code below is meant to search within text styled with the Character Style "Hyperlink" and change any spaces (which import from Word as black text, i.e. have a black underscore) to the font color of the Character Style (which is a spot color that I've named 'Hyperlinks grey'). I think I have cracked it except for the changeGrepPreferences line; but I'll let the experts be the judge of that.
    app.findGrepPreferences = null;
    app.changeGrepPreferences = null;
    app.findGrepPreferences.appliedCharacterStyle = 'Hyperlink';
    app.findGrepPreferences.fillColor = 'Black';
    app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = ' ';
    app.changeGrepPreferences.fillColor = app.activeDocument.swatches.itemByName('Hyperlinks grey');
    app.changeGrepPreferences.changeTo = '$0';
    app.activeDocument.changeGrep();
    Any help will be greatly received.

    Hi Ole
    Thanks for the quick response. Your workaround works well up to a point. However, because the color 'Hyperlinks grey' already exists in the document I'm working on, when you add a new swatch it creates 'Hyperlinks grey 2'. I really need the text to be colored with the original color: in our production workflow we use a system called Odystar to create a Web and a Print PDF. For a print PDF, Odystar first looks for text in the spot color 'Hyperlinks grey' and turns it to black and removes the underscore. It means that hyperlinks look like hyperlinks for a Web PDF, but not for a print PDF.
    Also, the line of code that removes the created color only works if no replacements were made. When replacements have been made Hyperlinks grey 2 stays in the swatch. And if you ran the script again in which a replacement was made, it would make Hyperlinks grey 3 etc etc.
    So... do you have any further tricks up your sleeve?
    Thanks again for you help so far.
    With kind regards
    Simon

  • Finding Your Custom Color Swatch by Name

    I have created a large custom swatch set and I need an easy way to find one by its name. I know you can search for Pantone colors but is there way to search through your named swatches?

    Bump?

  • Saving Color Swatch Sets with Files

    I don't know why this is so hard to do in Photoshop. How can I save a custom color swatch window for all my different files individually. I am wanting to do exactly what Indesign and Illustrator does. I open a file in Photoshop and it brings in the last color pallet I used, instead of the color pallet I used for that file. Is there any way around this?

    ID and AI are using simpler objects and colors associated with those objects.
    Photoshop works with images with millions of pixels, none of which may directly relate to specific swatches.
    You can save and switch swatch preset files if you like. But swatches are not carried along with the document in Photoshop (because it's like trying to carry every grain of sand on every beach in the world).

  • Making custom set of color swatches permanently available?

    I added some new color swatches to a blank, new set. http://screencast.com/t/0KaxCmlxiEmH
    I would like this new set to appear as an option in the list of available sets. http://screencast.com/t/HK4quzrmMnz
    I've saved it to the presets folder. I've tried every option to save/load. It just won't appear in that list.

    Thanks! I think this is why I cannot see it. When I try to save to that folder, I am told I do not have admin persmissions. I am on a work comp, so when I try to change security settings I am locked out. I'll have to consult IT.

  • Color Swatch Palette is Stuck

    I am a designer working for a printer. We have a customer who is trying to add a new color to her CS4 document. She is selecting New Color Swatch - Spot - Pantone Solid Coated but is getting Process Coated DS colors -- the palette is stuck. Any suggestions? When she sent the document to me I didn't have any problems with the swatch palette.
    Thanks for any help.

    from the help files:
    Restore all preferences and default settings
    When InDesign is behaving erratically, deleting preferences (also referred to as “trashing preferences” or “removing preferences”) often solves the problem.
    Do one of the following:
    (Windows) Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
    (Mac OS) While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

  • Custom Color Palette

    I work with several sites that use very similar colors, which
    I find myself using over and over again. How can I save a set of
    custom colors to a palette and bring it up for use at a later
    date?

    Open the Swatches palette menu and select the Clear Swatches
    option.
    Click in the Fill color box on the tools panel and drag the
    built in
    color picker to a color you want to select for your custom
    palette.
    Once you click on the color, move the color picker over to
    the swatches
    panel, where it becomes a paint bucket cursor.
    Click in the Swatches panel to add the selected color.
    Repeat until you've built your entire custom palette.
    Open the Swatches panel menu again and choose Save Swatches.
    Name your palette and save it somewhere on your hard drive.

  • Book colors with Custom Color Suite

    Is there any way to programmatically create a book color? Dragging one from the book to the swatch palette creates a book color, but the Custom Color Suite seems to only have options for four color, three color, and lab color.

    In an AICustomColor, there is a variable AICustomColorTag, where you can choose kCustomFourColor (CMYK) , kCustomThreeColor (RGB), or kCustomLabColor (LAB), but there doesn't seem to be any way to tag a color swatch as a Book Color. If you just drag a color from a color book within Illustrator to the swatch list, it is tagged as a book color automatically. At least it is in mine... give it a try. When I create a color swatch programmatically as a lab color or whatever, I can then double click the swatch within Illustrator and change it manually to a Book color.
    Weird.
    There's actually a function in the AISwatchLibrariesSuite called FindStandardBookColor, that I'm using to look up a color definition from the color books by name, but it doesn't pull the "Book Color" tag with it, just the CMYK definition.

  • Exporting custom color palettes

    When I create a Pages 5 template for a client, how can I also send them the custom color palette that I created? Thank you!

    Since the Custom Colors (I assume you named them in your pallette) are part of Apple's Color Picker, you would have to go via a complicated all or nothing salvaging/replacing of Color Picker's plist.
    A more practical approach is to create an extra blank page in your template which contains resources. One of which would be labeled color swatches.
    Your client can add the colors to their Color Picker palette by using the eyedropper in the Color Palette (3rd icon from left). You will get the colors accurately but not their names.
    Apple has never thought this through, as Named Color swatches & Palettes would allow consistent use of colors and color modes across Macs.

  • Is it Possible to Save Custom Colors

    Hello
    I am interested in using some colors that are not part of any of the pre-loaded selections. Is it possible to create a color with the color wheel and then save it? I want to be able to use the same color on many parts of the site without having to recreate it every time.
    Thanks for the help!

    In the color window, click on the magnifying glass to the left of the color swatch box. Now click on your color and it will appear in the swatch box. Drag this color down to one of the little squares at the bottom of the window.
    Every time you click on a little square, the color appears in the swatch box.
    Note that clicking on the dot at the bottom of the color window and dragging down will expand the squares so that you can store over 100 custom colors.

  • Another Custom Color Problem

    OK, I found Kuler because of NAPP and thought it would be a
    nice tool. I'm trying to create my custom colors but it does not
    seem to work. I'm using win Vista, and the latest version of FF,
    flash player 9. When I enter the hex code, the color does not
    change. If I use the slides, it skips over numbers that I need. If
    I enter the colors rgb numbers, they stay until I click to the next
    swatch and revert back to the previous code? If I do it by CMYK I
    get a different shade of color than I do in Illustrator.
    I'm trying to create a color swatch based on a web site I'm
    making and I can't get this thing to work. The color I'm having the
    most problem with is ABC178 or RGB code 171, 193, 120 I can get
    close, but not those values. Entering HEX does not change any of
    the above values.

    Hi,
    That does sound frustrating.
    Just checking, did you hit return after inputting the values?
    I'm able to input the ABC178 hex value and the RGB equivalent using
    Win XP FF 1.5. I input the number, hit return and the swatch
    changes,
    If you did hit return, please send me your OS/browser
    version.
    Additional tip: if for some reason you can't get the
    insertion point for the color value input field (only the hand),
    try clicking on another space and then reselect the one you want.
    Hope this helps!

  • How can I use custom colors and not presets when using Smart Brush Tool Color?

    I don't see a way to use the color picker tool or change the color to custom colors. Please help.

    This tool employs a gradient adjustment layer. In the layers palette, double click the layer thumbnail, not the name.
    Then, double click the gradient bar to bring up the gradient editor.
