Custom converter - parameters not always work

Hi,
I have a web page, which part looks like this:
<a4j:repeat value="#{list}" var="art">
    <h:outputText escape="false" value="#{art.content}">
        <my:substring length="125" />
    </h:outputText>
</a4j:repeat><my:substring /> is my custom converter, with parameter length (it has setLength, getLength methods).
Content of #{list} depends on parameter set in page bean. There are also links on the page, which change this parameter and refresh the page:
<h:commandLink value="#{paginator.currentPage + 2} ">
    <f:setPropertyActionListener target="#{paginator.currentPage}" value="#{paginator.currentPage + 2}"/>
</h:commandLink>After clicking link, page content changes as it should, but converter works with its default "length" parameter. My setting (length="125") is not used. There is new converter instance created, but setLength method is not called (I checked it by debug).
Anybody knows how to solve this problem?
Best regards
Pawel Stawicki

  • Custom flash player (not flv) working with custom flash content

    I am working on a custom player of swf content. Some of the

    Depending on how the external content is built, sometimes the

    Does anyone know of a standard approach to such a problem?

  • Can I not add images to my itunes from Google images or other search engines as when I click get artwork it does not always work

    Can I not add images to my itunes from Google images or other search engines as when I click get artwork it does not always work. I used to be able to do this.

    The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
    It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

  • Web Intelligence is not always working  well

    i found web intelligence is not always working, sometime, when i try to open a document, it takes so long, sometimes, it is fast, sometimes when i try to refresh the report, it gives me error, i am wondering if someone knows what could cause this kind of issue? is it proxy? or something else?

    Tara,
    there are many factors that can cause slow performance.  In those cases where it is sometimes fast, it may be due to caching -- another user recently requested the same report and the report is in the server's cache, so instead of running the report from the start it sends the cache to you.  In other cases there may be no cache built up so you get stuck waiting for cache and your report comes up slowly.  There are a couple of techniques for tracking down slow performance, but mostly it happens due to either a database problem or an overworked applications/web server, or poor communication/LAN/Network lines.  Depending on your expertise you'll gravitate to checking that aspect out first and investigating one of the aspects to see where a bottleneck is getting produced.  Another technique is to add -trace to your service startups to add more verbose messages to your logs.  Adding trace will help you to see more of what is going on in the background.  I guess it's a matter of digging in and following your instincts until you can nail down the culprit.
    Thanks,
    John

  • IPod Touch 4th gen home button not always working and deletes all songs on iPod.

    I bought my ipod touch on may but since that day, the home button is not alway working and also sometimes when I sync my Ipod, it remove all the songs from it without asking me. What can I do? It is so frustrating..
    thanks in advance for help.

    Try:
    fix for Home button
    Fix a broken, unresponsive or sticky iPhone Home Button
    - If you have iOS 5 and later you can turn on Assistive Touch it add the Home and other buttons to the iPods screen. Settings>General>Accessibility>Assistive Touch
    - If not under warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for:
    Apple - Support - iPod - Repair pricing
    You can do it an an Apple store by:
    Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
    or sent it in to Apple. See:
    Apple - Support - iPod - Service FAQ
    - There are third-party places like the following that will repair the Home button. Google for more.
    iPhone Repair, Service & Parts: iPod Touch, iPad, MacBook Pro Screens
    Regarding the songs problem, Are you always syncing to one computer/iTunes library? If y sync to another computer/iTunes library your iPod will be erased and its contents replaced with what is in the iTunes library of the second computer.

  • LR4.2 and "Do not import selected duplicates" does not always work.

    LR4.2 and "Do not import selected duplicates" does not always work. Running a Mac, 10.6.8, I am cleaning up hard drives, organizing old files. There are times lightroom 4.2 (and before) does not recognize already imported raws and does not gray them out. These are backed up cards and folders of of raw images. Why is the "do not import selected duplicates" check box not working???!!!

    There's a known (and old) bug when duplicate identification fails on photos
    that have been imported from another catalog.

  • Bottom button is not always working.

    My Iphone bottom button does not always work.  Is there a way to fix that.

    You mean your home button?
    If it intermittently works, then you either have to get it cleaned out or fixed. Back up your iPhone and take it into an Apple Store.

  • Trackpoint in Thinkpad X121e not always working

    Hi,
    my Lenovo Thinkpad X121e runs with ArchLinux x86_64 and all packages updated (no testing versions). All worked fine, but since a while i have the problem, that the trackpoint sometimes does not work. This occurs randomly at startup. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. If it works, it keeps working all the time the machine is running. If it is not running, after a reboot it will most likely work. This problem seems to occur randomly at about every tenth start of the machine. I remember that the trackpoint did work without problems in the past, but some update in the last few months has killed it. I currently cannot figure out, why this happens.
    I attached the dmesg and lsmod output for the working and non-working state of the trackpoint. If you need more info, please ask. I hope someone can help me :-)
    Thanks.
    Edit: Added also the Xorg.0.logs for working and non-working states.

    OK, ignore my last post pointing the finger at udev.
    I poked around in the kernel code; it was actually kinda fun. Now this looks more like either a hardware problem (unlikely) or a driver bug (more likely) to me:
    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1894892
    Thought I'd pass along what I found.
    During a boot, the kernel will "walk" all the buses looking for devices. The methods used to find them on some buses (like PCI) are well defined, while others are not (like the serial bus). On those buses that aren't well defined the kernel will (probably) literally "probe" the bus trying to not only find a device, but also determine the exact chip installed.
    It's the second case that's involved in your problem. The serio driver found the Synaptics touchpad device (via probing). If you look closely at the kernel log, you'll see it's attached to your i8042 (PS/2) chip.  But... since this touchpad device has a "passthru port", it has to perform extra steps to determine if there's a chip on the "other side" of that touchpad chip. In your case there is, and it's your Trackpoint.
    If it's successful in finding the Trackpoint chip, the drivers/input/mouse/trackpoint.c kernel driver file will put the following in your syslog:
    IBM TrackPoint firmware: 0x0e, buttons: 3/3
    Which is what you see in your logs when it works. Since you don't see it when it fails, then the code probably isn't being executed or it's failing with an error condition.
    Now... when a driver finds a device, it usually (but not always) creates some virtual "files" in the /sys directory... and that's what will happen if that trackpoint.c code is executed...
    input: TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint as /devices/platform/i8042/serio4/serio5/input/input11
    So... one question is... "Does it create something in /sys when it fails?". From looking at the code, I highly doubt it.
    Although this looks somewhat improbable, if the error path for this section of the code in the trackpoint_detect function of /drivers/input/mouse/trackpoint.c file is executed then it looks like it might match your error:
    psmouse->private = kzalloc(sizeof(struct trackpoint_data), GFP_KERNEL);
    if (!psmouse->private)
    return -ENOMEM;
    Perhaps you might want to put some sort of printk call in there to see if that's what's happening. Heck, also add one to the top of the function to see if it's even being called.
    Good luck.

  • Page back keyboard and mouse shortcut not always working

    On some pages the "go back and forward one page" functions of my mouse do not work.
    Also the keyboard shortcuts ALT+left arrow and ALT+ right arrow give the same issue.
    The buttons on the toolbar are functioning like they should however.
    The alternative keyboard shortcuts backspace and SHIFt+backspace also work.
    (but not when using google because google thinks I want to type so this is no workaround for my programmable mouse)
    I tried on another computer and on that the keyboard shortcuts also dont always work.
    (but mouse does, it's a cheapy mouse without software, go figure)
    I can reproduce the page on which the shortcuts do not work.
    Just go to google or any other website and then go to:

  • Scrolling with the mouse wheel does not always work with 4.0? Never a problem with previsous versions.

    in firefox 4.0, at times the scrolling wheel will not work. It has never been a problem with previous versions, and always works in internet explorer.

    Hello Henry,
    Thanks for the hint!
    My mouse wheel is  working, but not in flash player...strange... It is a Microsoft Comfort  Mouse and I see there is already logged bug about that: https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-5145
    Anyway besides this bug, there is an additional issue I think, that the vertical layout does not calculate properly the vertical scroll position, when certain elements are excluded from the layout. I have described this additionally in the Jira.

  • USB devices not always working

    Some USB devices do not work correctly when using the USB2
    brackets connected to pins JUSB1 & JUSB3 pins on my k7t266 Pro 2/RU Board.
    They always work fine on either of the 2 usb ports located next to the mouse & keyboard. I fear that the "USB controllers" may be incorrect.
    How should they be named (and how many times) in the device manager ?

    When I boot my new system, my Razer Lachesis (gaming mouse) doesn't always work directly, it doesn't more or click. I need to unplug and then plug it back in to get it to work.
    First I thought it had to have something to do with the driver, so I installed the Vista x64 drivers for my Windows 7 x64 OS, but no luck.
    I've had this onces before on my old MSI K8N-Neo2 Platinum board with a Razer Copperhead. A biosupdate fixed the issue back then. Are there any known issues with my mainboard in this matter?
    Would be nice if someone knows how to fix it. I'll also report this @ Razer.
    Thanks for the help guys :D

    Yep, I had same problem too, as well as on several other motherboards too. Guess what? I don't use Razer mouse again!
