Custom field to add number of packages shipped along with Delivery

Hi Sap Experts,
We have scenario, we have created sales order with quantity 1(Like soft copy or hard copy of CD).
Now we want to create delivery with sales order and quantity is 1(Copy from sales order).
Our requirement is some time we have to send additional things like hard copy of manual or complement gift which we are not entering in sales order.
Exp: Sales order- quantity 1.
Want to deliver quantity 1(+ manual+ complement gift, these items are not part of standard order)
For more clarity, we have to add one field and want to enter number (How many items we have send along with main materials and these items are not relevant for pricing also).
So requirement is add one additional field in delivery header/item.
Customer doesn’t want to use Free of goods or BOM which we have propose him. How to customize standard table and standard program.
Kindly suggest.

We don't want to use BOM options.
I have also checked "No. of packages'` at header level but my requirement is at item level.So we are also exploring the option of APPEND standard table and add this field.
Kindly let me know if we can do it without Appending standard table.

Hi Vamshi,
You can not create extra buttons in Standard Query region.
Alternatively you can create your custom region for the search and there you can add a button. If you don't need advanced region, you can create the custom region in place of standard one.

Custom field in incompletion log

Hi All,
I have added a new custom field (custom field from VBAK) in VA31/VA32 Additional data A tab .
My requirement is : This custom field should appear in the incompletion log ONLY based on some condition.
So to add this custom field into incompletion log, configuration is done through
SPRO->basic functions->Log of Incomplete items->Define incompleteness procedure .
query:
How to proceed further to handle the incompletion log conditionally .
so that only for specific document type and only for specific sold-to-party this field should appear in incompletion log.
Could you please help me if anyone have come across such scenario.

Sangita,
You will not be able handle incompletion log conditionally ONLY just by adding the required custom field in the Incompletion log procedure. Along with the right customization you also have to write the custom logic in the one of the MV45A* userexits populating a record with the sutom field in the runtime structure XVBUV.

Adding custom fields to FPE1/2/3 transactions

Hi guys,
My first thread here on SDN!
I need to add custom fields (Document Locator Number - ZDLN, and Post Mark Date - ZPMD) from table DFKKOP to transactions FPE1/2/3 under ADDITIONAL DATA area while manually entering NEW BUSINESS PARTNER ITEM.
The transaction is not BDT enabled and does not have a screen exit. The user exit and BaDI dont seem helpful to me.
The screenshot below shows the user exits and BaDI for the transaction.

Yea i got the functional guys to configure it. Was a unique issue!.....But I know how they did it.
You can add it through SPRO transaction. Go to the below mentioned path.
Go to SAP Reference IMG
Financial Accounting > Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable > Basic Functions > Posting and Documents > Document >
Screen Preparartions > Include Own Fields in Detail Screens.
Here you need to enter the details from FPE1 transaction screen.
Activity Documentation:
Include Own Fields in Detail Screens
In this activity you can, if you have added customer fields to the document structures, include these customer fields in the entry screens of the transaction for posting documents.
For the detail screens (business partner item and G/L account item) you can create a screen that contains your own fields. You must create this screen as a subscreen using the Screen Painter. In addition you have to create modules for the intialization and for data transfer (PBO and PAI).
Activities
If you have extended the document strutures to includes customer fields, and you need these fields in the entry screens for posting documents, you must create the screen using the Screen Painter.
Carry out this step to create the screen and the modules that go with it in the system. You do not have to activate these afterwards.
Further notes
Read the field help for each field in the table. This describes the exact procedure.

Custom field not found in in the definition of EAI Integration Component

The OSS note 672960 has already indicated you need to use BADI to address it.
For Search criteria
You can also use user-defined fields as search criteria. To do this, you have to set fields XINPUT and XDISPLAY to 'X' in table ET_FIELDS for the fields you want to use in BADI BBP_CUF_BADI_2 in method MODIFY_SCREEN. The fields defined this way are displayed if you choose the 'Extended search' link.

Nobody works in all areas and nobody gives instant solutions to each problem. I told you in my first reply that we have done similar devlopment in material master..not in prod order and i clearly mentioned that possibilty is there.
Your Abaper might not be able to develop this because this is not easy and you also might not be able to give correct functional logic.

How to replicate customer fields in the backend system.

I need to transfer PO customer fields that were created in the SRM system to backend SAP system.
I am using Extended Classic Scenario in SRM and SRM Version is 5.0.
I am able to replicate the data created in SRM system to the backend.
How ever, I found the following BADI while debugging.
1. BBP_DOC_SAVE_BADI

3. BBP_DOC_SAVE_ICC

Hence, please tell me which BADI, I need to use to send my customer fields to the backend system.

As Disha told, You need to create a customer Implementation of any othe BADIs using SE19 Transaction.
Say, you create an active customer Implementation of BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI...

Custom Field in TCode VA02, Screen 102, Program SAPLEB

We ant a custom field on screen number 102 program SAPLEBNE, TCode VA02. To achieve this we have added a custom field in structure CI_EBANDB in table EBAN. However the field is not visible on the screen.
To navigate to the screen, where we want to place the custom field, go to TCode VA02-> Enter Sales Order No->Select any Line Item->Display Item Details-> Go to Schedule Line tab->Click on the Procurement Button at the bottom->On the purchase Requisition Field, duble click on the Purchase Requisition No
The field should be in Procurement Options, next to the Fixed Vendor field. Please help.

Creating an SQL Query for Project Custom Fields Values

I'm currently trying to create an SQL Query to show all of the server's Project Custom Fields Values, along with the modification date.
So far, I've managed to display correctly all of the data for all of the Projects' text value Custom Fields (those not based on a LookUp Table) with this query:

However, when I try a new Query to obtain the actual values for the Projects Custom Fields that do use a LookUp Table, I can't seem to find what table in the model I'm supposed to link to the MSP_PROJ_CUSTOM_FIELD_VALUES.CODE_VALUE field (the TEXT_VALUE
field has NULL value when CODE_VALUE field isn't NULL)
Any suggestions on how to obtain the actual Projects' custom fields values instead of the Code Value, for Metadata that do use a LookUp Table?
Also, I'm able to run this query only in the Published Database, since the MSP_CUSTOM_FIELDS table is empy in the Draft Database. Why is that?

Hi Sebastián, rather than directly accessing the database it would be better to use the PSI to get this data. Take a look at the ProjTool sample in the SDK whcih gets this data.

ABAP: SD user-exits - custom fields using from KNVV or VBAK

Hi all,
I have a technical question.
I've created some custom fields in table KNVV. The values of these custom fields have to be used during Sales Order creation/modification for determining materials or princing, in sales order user-exits.
My question is:
During the Sales Order creation/modification, in the userexits:
Is it preferable to get directly the values of the custom fields from KNVV?
OR
Is it preferable to transfer values of the custom fields from KNVV to VBAK (which was extended with the same custom fields like KNVV...) with transfer data, and then use only VBAK?

I would prefer moving them to VBAK and then using it. Why?
1. Once you have queried KNVV and moved it to VBAK you do not have to perform the select again.
2. During SO change, you already have the data in VBAK so you do not have to fetch again from KNVV.
3. Lets say the Z field was changed on KNVV after creation of SO and if your requirement is to use the Z field content when the SO was created, you cannot go back to KNVV since the data is changed. But if the same was stored in VBAK, you do not have that problem.

SRM 7.0 custom field made required in field control but not working

Dear Gurus,
I have added one custom field in the SC, made it mandatory/required with by setting flag in the field control. But i can save/park/order the SC without entering any value in the field.
However, if i set the same option for a standard field like "shopping cart name", the user cannot go further without entering a value. Although I can handle this with the BAdI, but shouldn't this work?

I'd say Yes it should. But it is not working based on my observation. I'd suggest that you create an OSS message and get an official SAP response to this issue.

How retrieve custom fields only when using SPListItemCollection?

Hi with following code I am retrieving a DataTable from a List:

This works fine. My problem is that I only want to get custom ListFields. When working with Fields one can simply call
FromBaseType which will show if a Field is custom or not. The only value which seems right is
IsCustomType. Though it is listed under Not public members, which makes it unaccessable via code for me, right?
Well a dirty approach would be to iterate through ListFields, match them with DataColumns and check whether they are custom or not.
Is there any clean, efficient solution for this? Is this possible using CamlQueries? If yes, how would that query look like?

To retrieve the custom fields, CAML query is incapable, do a iteration with SPField.FromBaseType or the SPField.SourceId property seems the only way at this moment.
