Custom Field When Mobile Devices Search GAL (Android / iPhone / BBerry)

We are running Exchange 2010 SP2. In the details templates editor we renamed the pager field to "Direct Dial" to easily allow our users to see the direct dial numbers for the employees.
In the past when we searched the GAL from Android or iOS devices, we were able to see the pager field even though it was not named "Direct Dial" like it was in outlook.
I dont know when this feature stopped working (my guess is SP2??) but we can no longer see the pager field on our mobile GAL searches.
How can I restore or customize this functionality?

Please check whether the settings in “Details Templates Editor” are still like before.
Try re-apply the settings and check if the issue persists.

New custom field in the POWL search criteria

Hi experts,
My requirement is to add a new custom field in the search criteria (Parameters)
In my Easy shopping card POWL. I need to add custom fields in search criteria.
I tried appending my custom fields in structure /SAPSRM/S_SEARCHFIELDS
And customized the POWL type DB criteria SAPSRM_FEEDER_SC by adding the custom field
But still the newly added search criteria is not displaying in the
Query SAPSRM_E_CHECKSTATUS_01 in powl_query transaction.
Kindly help me to solve this issue

I tried to add an extra Field(Company code) in POWL Search. the problem is the Field Company code doesnt get updated in BBP_PDHSC and BBP_PDISC with the value used in while creating SC.
I only get the Company code value in table BBP_PDBEI for SC.
So when i give any value in POWL search for company code no data is shown even though the SC was created in the inputted Company code.
so how to go about adding CC as search criteria in POWL so that the resultant output is filtered on the basis of CC value.

OIM 11g r1 custom field in simple user search result

Good morning,
i need to visualize a custom field in the OIM simple user search result table. At the moment, when a simple user search is performed, the returned attribute is only the "Display Name".
For the advanced user search result table, is possible to add other fields modifying the Search Results table configuration in Advanced->User configuration->Search Configuration.
How can i do the same the for simple user search result?

Yes, i tried to add my custom attribute to both Simple and Adv search result table, but without luck. Only Display Name column attribute is shown when a simple search is performed.

"The selected cells are read-only" error on Custom Field when trying to insert in Datasheet mode

I have a custom field that works completely fine. Yesterday our QA team found out that when trying to insert in Datasheet format, the error "The selected cells are read-only" was thrown. Any ideas? I tried passing the following property to my fldtypes_field.xml file:

Unfortunately it did not work. I also developed the code and access the field and checked its property called "ReadOnlyField" which is already set to false.

Disabling custom fields when Equipment type is M

Hi all,
I modified the IE02 transaction by adding 5 custom fields
to the screen SAPLITO0 1050.
Now i have the requirement to disable these fields when eqtyp is 'M'.
Is there any userexit available for this purpose or i have to modify the PBO module of the screen.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Sai,
Did you place your PBO module in the screen 1022's flow
logic? The PBO logic should some what like following,
general dynpro settings
MODULE DYNPRO_INIT_SUB_ALL.
specific dynpro settings
MODULE DYNPRO_INIT_1022. "This is your module here..
restore active cursor position and set it
MODULE DYNPRO_CURSOR_SET.
And then in the PBO Module DYNPRO_INIT_1022 (which I assume is created in the include LIO0O01),
MODULE DYNPRO_INIT_1022 OUTPUT.
****Your screen modification logic here..
ENDMODULE.
Also did you activate/generate both the screen and program?
Please check that as well.
When you debug put a break-point in your PBO module and see whether the control goes there..

HTML5 output is not working on mobile devices, including iPads and iPhones

Hello,
I posted a question about this last week but had no reply. So I'm posting it again as it presents a serious problem for anyone wanting to publish content to mobile devices from Captivate 6.
The problem is that HTML5 quiz content runs incrediably slowly (it at all) and crashes the brower on mobile devices. I have tested this on an iPhone and 2 iPads in 2 different locations.
This is a demo that shows the problems: http://sshls-dev.port.ac.uk/captivate_problems/
(Running this demo on a standard laptop / PC will be fine and it will work perfectly. The problem only appears when the content is viewed on a mobile device).
The problem is more extreem in the 'shorthand' demo. The quiz loads up the first question and then when I press submit it either freezes or closes the browser (Safari) completly. Occasionally it will progress to questions 2 or 3 but then the same happens.
I am keen on finding an answer / workaround becuase at the moment it effectively means that Captivate cannot be used to display quizes on phones / iPads.
I would be very grateful if anyone knows how to solve this problem to let me know.

Customer field account assignment - F4 - search help exit

I have a question with regard to a F4 search help exit I'm try to build for a new CUF in the account assignment (include INCL_EEW_PD_ACC_CSF).
I've successfully created everything (search help + F4 search exit (read R/3 table)), but when I want to include restricted the search with certain filter values entered on the screen I'm stuck.
I tried to achieve this by passing the parameters entered on the search screen to the RFC read table function, but in fact I'm not able to read the screen values (using 'DYNP_VALUES_READ'):

Which SRM version are you using ? What's your detailed requirement ?
You need to call these function modules inside your search help exit to fetch the user-entered value and then process it accordingly as per your requirements.
Please go through these function modules.
*--- Get the user-entered fieldname
 CALL FUNCTION 'F4UT_PARAMETER_VALUE_GET'

Add custom fields to Interaction History Search.

Hi,
My requirement is to add two new attributes to the interaction history search screen.
1) Process Type
2) Creatyed By
I have added these two fields to the Search Query Structure through Append Structure.
Now problem is to do the backend logic.Means two restrict the records based on these values.
Are there any BADI's available for this?

Update custom fields when bookin an attendee in TEM

Hi, this is my case:
When I book an attendee in a business event I need to maintain some additional info like e.g. the reason of training, any extra wages,etc, per employee.
I have created a custom PD infotype but i can't find a way to maintain it when booking the attendance. It would be useful if I could use something like Dynamic Actions....

Is XCelsius compatible with mobile devices, ie iPad and iPhone

Has anyone built successful mobile solutions using XCelsius to iPad and iPhone. I am wondering whether or not Flash will work with i-devices.
If its not compatible is there a better BI solution we should consider?

I'm missing the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.. iPhone isn't recognized in iTunes?

I have tried re-installing itunes, restarting computer/ phone, disabling security software, different USB cords, etc.. I followed a page on apple (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538) and concluded I am missing the driver but none of the suggestions have fixed the problem.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

Content Search web part - Display Project Enterprise Custom Fields and Lookup Tables

My ultimate goal is to display a rollup table of our active projects (from PWA) on another site collection using the content search web part. I can return default properties (such as the project name, author and URL) fairly easily using the same basic steps
in the link below.

My problem is that I want to also display information associated with each project from our PWA enterprise custom fields (such as risk, phase, etc.)
Because these custom fields do not appear to be site columns, I'm at a bit of a loss as to how this data is searched / indexed / mapped.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display PWA enterprise custom fields in a Content Search web part in SharePoint 2013.
As your active projects were from different site collection with the Content Search web part, you need to do a crawl for the content source, then create a managed property for the column in CA->Search Service Application->Search Schema. When you create
the managed property, select Searchable, Queryable, Retrievable. Then map it to the crawled property based on the custom column. You can find the crawled property by searching the name of the column in crawled properties.

Peer to Peer on Mobile Devices

I am trying to develop a real-time game for mobile devices that will allow multiple players. The basic connection concept is:
1) One person puts their game in "host" mode. That causes it to listen for outside connections.
2) A player (client) fires up their game and says to search for a host. The client goes in sequence through all addresses in its IP stack (255 of them) and sends a server connect request. All but one, probably, will come up with no connection. But we get that response from one address and...
3) Server receives the connect request, does a bit of handshaking, assigns the connected player to be one of the players in the game.
4) Once the game is started, the client sends only action-signals to the server.
5) The server calculates the action and sends data packets to all connected clients, perhaps once every 1/10th of a second, containing all updates to the in-game action. This time cycle will be the subject of some trial and error.
6) The server must be sensitive to clients logging out or losing connection mid-game.
The ServerSocket class is designed for the Host machine to listen for incoming connection requests and handle them. However, it is NOT available on AIR for mobile devices! I read this in documentation and proved it by my own testing.
So, how can I set up a multiplayer game, using socket TCP communications (not UDP, which can be lossy and time-insensitive), for mobile devices like my Android phone? What programming can I do on the "host" to listen for and handle incoming connections without the ServerSocket class?
It is important that we do not involve an intermediary server to handle the multiplayer communications. The game engine should be able to find any "host" on its local network and communicate with it directly.
I do not want to use the UDP-based Stratus, which also would require setting up my own user-management server.

Create a content , any text like "Top" and then apply scroll to this content with no value in direction fields. This would fix the content on page, means while scrolling the page this object will stay in its position.
Link this to anchor which is placed on header , now on page bottom or middle or any section if you tap this object then it would scroll up the page to top.
We can only define the function and feature on site page not outside of it.
So in case you are referring to browser section where site url is open and tap function on browser itself should scroll up the page , then you would need to look out for custom solution which you have to do for all supported browsers on mobile devices.

Error adding custom field in POWL

Hi all,
I've added a custom field in POWL for SC.
The problem is when I fill this custom field and push the search button an error is displayed:
"Last query refresh failed due to internal errors; contact your admin."
I've seen there is a short dump in st22. SAPSQL_INVALID_FIELDNAME
I've seen that the select statement is being built dynamically (include LBBP_PDF80).
Within the conditions of the where clause is adding a line with the correct value but is adding another senseless line .
In the custom fields range is always adding a line like this; LOW = space OPTION = CP.
I don't know why. The problem is in the form GETLIST_CUF_ADD_LINE.
If I delete this second condition in debug mode is working fine.
I've tried to find some OSS note but I couldn't find any...
This are the steps I've followed to add the custom field in POWL:
- Add the field to structure /SAPSRM/S_SEARCHFIELDS. (with the same name that it have in st. INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_SC )
- Add the field in view /SAPSRM/V_SRC_CR.
- Add the field in DB criteria in the transaction /SAPSRM/POWL_CUST.
- Use the report POWL_D01 for refresh the query.
Do you know what can be the problem?
