Custom footprint... cant get it right.

Hi,
I have been trying to make a custom component from scratch for this led display. It seems simple enough... take a dip10 and increase the width (space between pin rows) to 10.7mm.
I cant seem to get the precision I need with the rulers, htey seem to have a poor resolution (jumping 1mm at a time??).
Could I be really cheeky and ask if one of the more seasoned members could make it for me? Or if I'm doing something daft- it'd be better to learn, right?
Give a man a fish or teach a man to catch fish etc etc... :-)
Either way- this is killing me.

Dalmation,
To increase the resolution, go to Options >> PCB Properties, select the Grid & Units tab. Now, change all the following to 1 mil or to whatever minimum resolution you need:
Visible Grid, change the numeric field to the right.
Grid Step Name list, select Component Grid, change the Grid Step Value.
Grid Step Name list, select Copper Grid, change the Grid Step Value.
Grid Step Name list, select Via Grid, change the Grid Step Value.
Grid Step Name list, select SMD Grid, change the Grid Step Value.
Click Apply and OK to exit. You should now see a finer grid.

Changing iphone with the girlfriend and cant get phones right help

me and my girlfriend changed iphones both are 16gb 3Gs's and on the newest ios and when we restored the back ups we made after changing sim cards everything is right the photo's and contacts and text but we cant seem to get the apps we had back onto the other phone or music also she has more then just the photo's she has taken and no matter what we try we cant get the apps or her photo's on to the iphones can someone help?

let me see if i can clear things up a bit. i got the white 3Gs about a month ago and she has had a black one for over a year and half now. she loves music and her personal modeling pictures. I on the other hand just use it to text call and a few apps mainly facebook. and recently her ipod on the phone will randomly stop playing or change songs so being the nice guy i am i gave her my practically new 3Gs. no back to the problem we both backed up our iphones and then swiched sim cards and then restored from the last back ups. the Problem tho is all my apps are still on her phone and no matter what we do to when we try to resync her phone back to her account it wont add her apps to the phone or delete mine. the onlything things that have changed are the contact, the actual photo's taken by the iphone and back grounds. what i mean as in her photo's wont sync back to the her new phone is her personal modeling photo's that she keeps on her laptop they are selected and everything but when its done syncing they are not on the phone just the photo's taken by the iphone same goes for the apps the music we figured out tho

Sharing and permissions, custom access, cant get user to have read and write acess

Hello everyone, i have a Netgear Stora NAS on my MAC, its located in the finder under shared, when i click on it i sign in with my user account and it gives me my folders to my stora, on one of my folder (Movies), i clicked get info and under sharing and permissions it told me i had custom access, i changed the privelages of the name,"Everyone" from no access, to read and write, when i did this, the name on tope of this (the main username) vanished. so ive been searhing on how to get my privelages back, i went to + and added new GROUP "admins" and it gave me my main username back but now with read only acess, when i try to change it to read and write it dissapears, PLEASE HELPPPPP, thank you!!!!

I am not sure why you get that error. One thing you can do is a SMC reset then try to format it again. However that being said I'm not fan of WD external HD's primarily because we see a lot of troubles with them on Macs. Their internal HD's are fine so that narrows it down to their enclosures. If the problem persists I'd return the drive and buy one of the following:

SMC RESET
• Shut down the computer.
• Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
• Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
• Release the power button.
• Attach the computers power cable.
• Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
• Shut down the computer.
• Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
• Turn on the computer.
• Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

Cant get positioning right in Safari

I have finally got my masthead to display correctly in IE6,
IE7, FF and Opera.
I am now having trouble with it displaying correctly in
Safari.
I have identical toplist and bottomlist. The main div has a
background image, and there is a leftdiv which has the "this is a
test" background image.
In Safari the two background images just dont line up fully.
Im not sure if it is something to do with the toplist
padding/margin maybe as its list items look like they are slightly
out of place.
Can someone have a look at my site/code if possible?

I am trying to use the font Caviar Dreams on my new web site but i cant get it right,

I already fixed the issue, it seems trhat in dreamweaver the fonts ttf , otf, etc must be in a folder named webfonts, and then dreamweaver connects the fonts stylesheet to the main stylesheeet with @inport.I had to unisntall the fonts from my windows and download them again and add tehm with dreamweaver add web fonts feature.

HT1338 I cant get my iphone 5 to be compatible with my mac book pro. I've been trying to update my itunes but it wont let me because it tells me i dont have the right software is there anything that I can do so I can sync my phone to computer?

I cant get my iphone 5 to be compatible with my mac book pro. When I plug the iphone 5 in it tells me that i need a newer version of itunes 10.7 and I currently have 10.6. I checked for updates in my itunes and it says i dont have any. So i have gone to the itunes website to try and redownload itunes which i believe it 11.7. When I try and download that version it tells me the software on my computer doesn't suppor that version. I try to update my software and it says there is not software updates available right now. Is there anyway I can get my iphone 5 to synce to my itunes?

In order to get those to work you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

your going to have to put the ipod into recovery mode and restore the device. Unfortunatly you will lose all the info on the device after the restore but if you have a backup for the device in itunes you will be able to get all the info back if no backup is on itunes all info will be lost you can find the backups on in itunes under the edit>
preferences>devices and check for the backup
to put the ipod into recovery mode disconnect the ipod from the computer
power down the ipod
press and hold the home button than plug the device in and the itunes should give a message that states
itunes has detected an ipod in recovery mode and must first be restored before it can be used
than click the restore option in the summary page and issue resolved

From viruses, yes. Until one finally emerges of course. From malware? That would depend on what is meant by malware as a lot of the sites you mention (as well as a lot others) leave their cookies behind and these can display malware type behaviour.

The backup of your iPod Touch would include your camera roll photos. Restoring the backup to another iPod Touch or iPhone would recover them. Photos will not be restored by restoring the backup to an iPad.
Note: Apple deletes iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so be sure to do this before then.

Hi,
If you see field type for TIHTTPNVP-NAME, it is a string whose length varies. It has unlimited length.
When you compare the same with string, it matches exact characters so it is working. But when you compare with the variables, characters to compare are not matching so it is not working.
If it had been of TYPE CHAR length 10 and also SNAME would have been type char and length 10 then second read also would have worked.

Does anyone know why i cant get two monitors working on one pc?
I have a HP P6 2000 UKM computer, running windows 7 and it has a DVI D socket as well as the standard VGA (which i am using for my primary monitor) I have got the right DVI to VGA adaptor and have followed various instructions to set up duel disply but every tutorial i have seen says use the multiple display option, but the option dropdown box is not there!
Iv'e tried two different monitors but he same problem. If my graphics card does not suport 2 monitors then why is there a DVI D socket?
Have never had this problem in the past!

Please post the exact HP product number for your PC.
VGA is analog and DVI-D is digital. If you have two monitors then one of them needs to support a digital video signal if you want to use two monitors

HELP cant get it to get music, frusterated into te

ok, i got it for christmas, and i was realy looking forward to getting it going cause i have an mpc port in my car and i dri've alot, well...you get the drift, either way, i cant get it to work, i tried calling the customer support, but forgot they were closed, and now im stuck, and confused. there was no manual or n e thing on how to work the desktop items (media explorer and organizer, and i never got this toolbar thing they siad would be there) but anyway, i finaly got all of it figured out, got my musick on to thoes programs fine, and then transfered them to wat was supposed to be my zen...i took my zen, and went to go dri've, and realized..there was not music on it, so i pluged it back in, and now it wont prompt the transfer, and so i checked through the computer to see what was actualy on my zen, and it says my songs are on it and its in a playlist, but THEYRE NOT im so confused, dont know how to work the organizer, or explorer, and all i want is my music...can anyone help?

Right it seems we are not alone, i ran a search in the forum - this particular problem with MacPros appears to have been around since February 2008 but none of the posts got a reply so I guess the issue is lying dormant. I'm going to call AppleCare tonight and report it and if they don't have a solution I will be requesting a refund until it's sorted out. After my £4k G5 Quad died for hardware faults just 15 months down the line I'm particularly wary of quality control and don't want to burned twice at this price.
