Custom HCM form integration with ESS

Hi,
Is it possible to integrate a custom HCM form(Accident reporting) with ESS.
There are 12 services available in the homepage framework for ESS HCM forms. Does this mean that we can only integrate HCM forms related to these services with ESS?

Thanks Bala, I have created a new service for the custom form. Which iview should i use to display the form.
I tried the approach of copying the start process iview from HR administrator business package and linking it to the service. The iview is not displaying the form.
Is this a valid approach or do we have to use webdynpro+adobe forms for ESS since there is no start process iview in ESS?

Problem in submit button on adobe form integrated with web dynpro

Hello,
I'm facing prob in triggering web dynpro event onSubmit for Interactive form.
I've created a submit button from web dynpro activex pallete on adobe form (integrated with web dynpro) to send the form as email.
Then in the web dynpro view where this form is embedded i have created an action against onSubmit event and called a method within this.
However, on clicking Submit button this event is not getting triggered.
Please let me know what is lacking in this process?

I am also facing the same problem. i have developed a simple scenario under which user have to input his/her details and on submit button it will be updated to database.
I have tried the above solution but after adopting this solution all the editable fields become non-editable.
so the above solution is not working for me could you help me out.

When you create the Adobe Form from WebDynpro, you need to follow one step in SFP Transaction or inSE80 transaction. Open the Adobe Form in any one the transaction and now in SAP menu bar "Utilities" in that you will find the "INSERT THE WEBDYNPRO SCRIPT" just click on that one. Then you will see a new Script Object is being created with the name "ContainerFoundation_JS" under the "Variables" in the Heirarchy of the Object Pallete of the Adobe Form.
This step is mandatory to use the SUBMIT Button of the "WebDynpro Native", to trigger the OnSubmit event of the WebDynpro.

How to Edit a custom HCM form directly after Employee selection?

Hi All,
As per the requirement, the Manager should have a tab in Portal called "Forms and Processess" and on click of that he should see a Page with few hyperlinks . Each hyperlink is the name of a HCM Form.
So, the Manager will click on one of them to start a particular form. ex. One time payment
After clicking, he should have the Employee search result having Direct reports under STEP "Select Employees".. But the next STEP has to be "Edit" instead of "Select Process" and the Form "One time payment" should directly Open for him to work on.
Please help me providing the relevant information and the approach. Let me know if you need any additional information.

we do have selection of employees or search and you can choose a form?
If you want to change it, then only option is WD ABAP Iviews custom
But i still didnt fathom the need of teh approach above, does the standard doesnt meet the requurement? Please check it

Custom Workflow for custom HCM form - reg

Hi,
We have a custom form designed and having a workflow for that. We have developed the workflow like any other workflow for appraisals for example or in SD. But here while test run of process we are getting error saying 'Work Item not found' though the work item is present in SWI1.
We have below steps.
Header
Importing form container
User Desicion (Approve/Reject)
If approved update database.
Can any one correct me if am wrong.

SAP_PA backend service EXPECTS either a hardcoded/configured subtype OR a "*" for all available subtypes (which won't work in your case). What you "could" do is get creative with "rules" and check if values are entered, and then if so, do the operation for your subtype.
What you will need to do, which is what I do a LOT because of issues with SAP_PA is to actually make you update/changes in a backend function module (triggered in workflow). Now, things get a bit more complicated.....
Priod to EhP3, you could just call the ol' infotype operations function module in your own FM to do the change. However, from EhP3 and onward, you will need to do this via classes (same used by decoupled infotype framework.
Soooooo......time to get creative with your solution.

1. Can DBMS_LADP help me to integrate ? If yes then please list down the steps ?
2. Should i install complete apps server (Infra & apps) then syn OID and AD?

ABAP smart forms integration with CRM

As our ABAPers created their smartforms, now i need to integrate there designed smartforms with our CRM server. How to do it, what is the procedure...???
To do this process i worked on this following area. That is i went into Content Management in that we have Define Document Template Profile, and Next assign Document Template Profile to Application and Finally Assign Transaction Types to Templates for Folder and Doc. Template Profiles.
Here in Application the ABAPers created Z type smartforms are not displaying in that only Standard Application is displaying. So i need the link here i want to see their forms in Application. How it comes here....??????
If i get here their smartforms in Application , my problem is solved , from here i can put it in my Transaction Type.

I have been looking for this problem as well, I have followed the configuration steps by copying from standard configuration however I cannot get the print out. I got an error message like " No manual print actions found"

Custom JCA Adapter integration with BPEL

The stock FTP Adapter provided with BPEL does not have a feature I require, so I am creating a custom JCA FTP adapter that does only one thing: when it is invoked, it polls a directory for any existing files, and then returns the number of files in that directory.
The Adapter Developer Cookbook ( http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/adapters/pdf/Adapter%20Development%20cookbook.pdf ) is about as clear as mud, and hasn't been updated for 10.1.3.
Are there any other resources that explain how you go from having your .java source files for your JCA adapter to having a working custom adapter in BPEL?

Custom worklist application integration with BPEL cluster

Hi all,
I've setup a BPEL cluster using the Enterprise installation guide for 10.1.3.3.0. Currently we have a custom worklist application which is works when deployed on an installation SOA suite (10.1.3.1.0). The integration of claiming or setting an outcome works fine. We use the remote EJB to integrate with the workflow services.
However when testing the application on a cluster, we are getting the following log message in the log file for the custom application:
Questions:
1) What should be the value of the host name in the server URL since in a cluster a remote HTTP server. The HTTP server uses a virtual URL via the loadbalancer.
2) What should be the port number? Should it be the opmn request port from the $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/opmn.xml
Anything else that i'm missing, please let me knoe.

WebSphere Integration with ESS/MSS Error

Hi All,
We are trying to setup a scenario where we embed the SAP Portal within WebSphere portlets. Plan is that we would have WebSphere link to the ESS HomePage. We have setup a URL alias in the web-inf with nested_window=1. The websphere guys are using the the WebSphere clipper to create the portlets but this is giving us javascript errors (e.g. Access Denied, etc). This means when we click on any of the ESS framework links e.g. Personal Data the webdynpro spinner comes up and nothing happens i.e. they screen does not change.
Any thoughts on what might be the issue? Is the Clipper the best tool to use?

Error is due to mis match of patches.
Check with SAP_HR and EA_HR patches. Try to maintaine the patches to 26 patch. By this u can resolve the issues.
That means Patches from Java side and Backend side need to be maintained at there same levels.

Cardinality Issue - WD Model (Form) Integration with BAPI

Hi -
We have an issue with our forms editable fields are getting disabled (read only, we can not enter data) even though we have proper properties set.
Our developers are looking into a possible cardinality issue i.e. our form fields are test field and have a cardinality of 0..1, where as our bapi structure is showing a cardinality of 0..n for the corresponding field in bapi.
We had internal table as an export parameter so we though may be because of that we are getting 0..n. However we have changed the internal table to a type of structure and recreated a model mapped all the controller and context nodes back to the new structure and still get 0..n cardinality.
We have already researched on SDN logs and did not find any relevant answers.
Any one have any idea please make our weekend happy Developers are really working hard on Friday to close on this before they go home.

If the context node cardinality is 0...1 or 0...n then you need to first create or bind an element to the node to make the form fields editable to which those nodes are bound to. If it's a model node then you need to instantiate a new model node object and bind it to the node e.g.:
Bapi_xxx_Input input = new Bapi_xxx_Input();
wdContext.nodeBapi_xxx_Input().bind(input);
Or if it's a value node then you need to instantiate the node element as below:
wdContext.nodemyNode().addElement(wdContext.nodemyNode().createElement());

MSS Forms Integration with T710

Hi All,
We are implementing MSS Forms at our company and we are having an error when creating basic pay.
When trying to save the employee with a salary (entry in T710) we get the error "no entry in T510". Is the hire form only referencing T510 for Pay Scales and not T710.
Is there a way to use T710 with MSS forms? We have already activated the TARIF feature with /S for T710 for Salaried employees and we are still getting the error.
Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

Annual salary is derived from T510 when it is evaluated indirectly .Directly valuated wage types have the field "module" blank in T511.
This could be the reason why you are getting the above error.
Further please check how you are determing the payscale group.
Take example of standard delivered HR_PA_XX_CHANGE_SALARY_2 & HR_PA_XX_CHANGE_SALARY_1 scenario.
For HR_PA_XX_CHANGE_SALARY_1 we are determining payscale group using backend service SAP_PA.
We are determining the value using screen structure HCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R0001.
Please use country specific screen structure to determine payscale group.

Adobe form integrated with WDA Application- hanging on click of button

These are my specifications -
SAP Netweaver release - 701 Level -05
ADS Version - 802.20090618120017.572641
Version of ZCI script - 802.20090115091137.519569.519537
When I click on the submit button, the wait symbol ( a circle) keeps on coming and then after 600 secs, a connection time out occurs. We have applied note 1223121 to our system and this dint help.
I have looked at the other posts in this forums too, however dint get much help. Please advise how to proceed. We are running out of ideas here.

Adobe Forms Integration with portal

HI,
We have some Adobe forms created under SE80.
Now i need to show that forms in Enterprise Portal.
SO i have created an Iview Template and selected sap webdynapro iview --> webdynapro for abap iview and
then proided the System, Name space and Appln name of that form.
When i preview it i can see the respective form. But when i update something in the form it is not getting updated.

I assume you have developed ActiveX enabled Adobe forms wherein whenever the user opens up the Adobe Form, and Adobe dll is downloaded on user's machine. Again there is a catch here, the user needs to have Admin rights on his/her machine so that dll downloads correctly.
If the user does not have Admin rights then the installation of DLL fails and hence you may be seeing the read cross mark.
I would suggest change the displayType to native in Adobe Form properties and also make sure to select the elements from respective library in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. For Eg: If form is native and you want a value help then select Value help from Web Dynpro Native Library Palette in Adobe LiveCycle Designer.

Hi,
I am working on TA FBL1N and I need to add an icon/hyperlink, clicking on that hyperlink/icon the user should be able to view a PDF/ TIFF file which is currently stored in another information server which is a Microsoft server in network.
So basically the pdf are existing on another server and I have to integrate it in Standard r/3 via ABAP.
Please let me knoe any suggestions/ways to achieve this in standard r/3 and whether I have to use Wd ABAP or bsp to achieve the same.

IF yes it does not concern PDF File generating by SAP , but it concern archivelink or DIR .
