Do you have much experience working with HTML & CSS code?
Does this project need to work well in all devices; not just tablets?
If the answer to both question sis Yes, I recommend Dreamweaver.
If the answer to both question is No, use Muse.

  • Global Web Applets and My Custom Home Page Report

    Hello,
I setup a custom "My Home Page Report" which is great but does not display the report when you load the home page without clicking the "Generating analysis... Click here to view the results" link. Is there a way around this?
I then setup a a Global Web Applet and embedded this on the main home page. When doing this I found you cannot have 1 section that spans the entire width of the page as you can with a report (To my knowledge?). I then tried putting two Custom Web Applets side by side to display the graph and report I wanted. This works however, I have vertical scroll bars although the reports are perfectly displayed and do not require any scrolling. Is there a way to get rid of the scroll bars?
    Regards
    Innoveer

Innoveer, you can contact customer care and ask them to provision your On Demand application with the custom homepage "Execute Report Immediately" option. However, you want to make sure that this custom report loads quickly - if not it will delay the loading of your homepage.

  • How can I set a custom Home Page while ALSO having a New Tab be the default Mozilla Page?

Why is the "home Page" = to a New Tab page? Why are they linked. I want my.yahoo.com to be my Home Page (currently set properly) but my New Tab page seems to be set to "Conduit" and has a search bar. I have no idea where that came from or how it got set that way. I want to have my current Home Page but make any New Tabs be the Mozilla Default Page with a Google search bar. Is that possible? I am running on Windows XP.

See also this article about the New Tab page (about:newtab):

You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

  • Why do my appearance add-ons disappear and my custom home page revert to default whenever I close Firefox?

These items work fine and stay functional when I keep the browser open, but as soon as I close it, then open it later, the appearance add-ons disappear from my add-ons list and my home page reverts to the default.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

  • Using Mac OS Lion - Firefox returns me to the generic Goggle home page rather than the customized home page I created. is this a Goggle problem or the Firefox bowser?

I always get a "generic" Goggle page to recreate every time I open Firefox or click the Home button. Firefox (or Goggle) can't remember the settings.

No I'm not using NoScript, but I'm pleased to report that the problem got resolved by deleting the original bookmark, logging in again, opening Google calendar, then bookmarking it again.

  • Customizing home page

    Hi all
I have just had to wipe my laptop and take it back to the beginning as I had a hard drive problem so have had to reinstall and reconnect everything. I have got back on BT BB but cannot figure out how to change something. Previously I had shortcuts on the homepage itself to my most used sites. I remember dragging the icon from next to the web address and it created a shortcut button but I cannot work out how to do it now as the page seems slightly different to before. Can anyone help or advise? Many thanks in advance.

Hi kalamazoo, do you mean your browser showed all your favourites.
    What browser are you using.
If its firefox, when you go to a page on the internet, you can then drag the icon to the left of the address to the bookmarks toolbar. Or if you right click a blank space on the page , on the menu that pops up, click on bookmark this page.
Or did you mean you had shortcuts placed on your desktop (screen) of your favourites.
Other browsers use slightly different methods.
let the forum know what you are using.

  • How do I stop the hyjacking of my custom home page

Every time I turn on my pc the homepage on my firefox internet browser has changed back to this unwanted page. How do I stop this from happening?

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes.
If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.

  • Can i get a custom home page URL with APEX ?

My name is Srinivas and i
work for a top telecom company in North Carolina and i am a Oracle DBA
    here.
We want to move away from spreadsheets about our typical DBA
information and statistics and reports and move to Oracle APEX (formerly HTML
DB). I was wondering whether i should use the public domain
apex.oracle.com or create something running with an internal Oracle 10g ?
If i use the public one apex.oracle.com for developing the application,
can i get my own URL ? like http://telecom_company_dba.oracle.com or
do we have to live with the http://apex.oracle.com URL ? We want to help
our management with this APEX application and we would like to have a
good meaningful URL for the APEX application
If we maintain our own internal APEX application created by our own
database 10g, then we could have our own domain name i guess. Correct ? or
is it possible even i use the public apex.oracle.com ?
    waiting for your reply :)
    -thx

    Hi,
The public apex.oracle.com site is not intended for production applications, if you don't want to run your own server there are a number of commercial hosting providers who specialise in providing hosting for APEX.
There is a list of the providers (of which I'm one) here -
    http://wiki.shellprompt.net/bin/view/Apex/HostingExamples
Regarding the 'nice' URL, yes that's certainly possible.

  • Java SDK - Can I list the universes in the repository on the home page?

I have a need to create a custom home page. When the user logs in through Infoview they should see the list of universes available for their use. Is there some code that you can insert to the home.jsp page to list these universes?

In current Firefox releases (29 and later) the orange Firefox menu button has been replaced by the three-bar Firefox Menu button at the far right end of the Navigation Toolbar and this button is always visible whether the Menu Bar is visible or hidden.
You can have the Menu Bar visible via the right-click context menu of a toolbar to have menus like the File menu with Print (Ctrl+P) and Print Preview and the Bookmarks and History and Tools menus.
You can toggle the title bar on/off via the "Title Bar" button at the bottom left in the Customize palette window.

  • Customizing start page??

    Hi,
I want to customize my start page after users logged into the workspace. After logged into the workspace, every user should be navigate to my customized home page.
Is there any documentation regarding how to do that...??
In the customization of workspace documentation provided by Adobe I am able to get details only on Localization, Layout, and Theme customization.
    Please suggest...

    Hi Ramu,
The start page layout is specified by procmgmt_client_ui/src/lc/procmgmt/ui/layout/Welcome.mxml and the concerned presentation model is procmgmt_client_ui/src/lc/procmgmt/ui/layout/WelcomeModel.as. The main component used in Welcome page is procmgmt_client_ui/src/lc/procmgmt/ui/welcome/WelcomePane.mxml and its model is procmgmt_client_ui/src/lc/procmgmt/ui/welcome/WelcomePaneBase.as .
The Welcome page displays the three main areas of Workspace:Start Process; To Do, and Tracking. These represent major divsion points in the end user's intent. Does the user want to initiate a new business process? Does the user want to complete tasks that have been assigned to him/her? or Does the user want to review past processes/tasks to check on their status? Along with providing this top level 'intent' split, various help links are provided realtive to each of those high level areas. Experienced users can choose to skip this Welcome page and, via Preferences, define in which area they want to start automatically.
You might want to observe how WelcomePane.mxml is used to navigate to various parts of the Workspace application before you customise it or choose to build your own component in procmgmt_client_ui/src/lc/procmgmt/ui/welcome and include it in Welcome.mxml

  • How to create a custom folder under Knowledge Management in Home Page

    Hi,
We have a SAP provided standard Home Page and it has a Workset/page called Knowledge Management.
Under that we have the folders called Favorites, Public Documents, Personal Documents etc.,
How can i create a new custom folder , say HR in that so that i can upload the HR related documents and that will be visible under Knowledge Management for all users.
What ever the folder we are creating under the Content Management is not visible in the Knowledge Management workset provided by the SAP.
Please let me know the step by step procedure of adding a folder under Knowledge Mangement Workset.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sekar

    Hi Sekhar,
You can store all your HR related documents in KM content.
Path is Content Administrator -> KM content
You find so many folders like documents etc... All these are KM repositories.
If you want to create a folder in the repository, you need to  create a KM repository and it needs to be activated.
For creating custom KM repository check the below thread.
You can create your own repository with your desired name.
Go to System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Repository Managers -> CM Repository
Otherwise you can create a folder in root->documents. Say
    HR.
In that HR you can store all the documents.
To display these documents in portal iview, you have to created a KM Navigation iview and set the property 'path to document' as /documents/HR
It will display all the documents in that iview.
There are so many templates related to displaying KM content.
Search in SDN for more information.
    Hope that helps.
    Raghu
