Custom Infotype for eRecruiting
Dear Experts,
We need to create a custom infotype for eRecruiting.Need some pointers to the same.
PM01 is used for PA infotypes
PPCI for OM & PD.
How should we create custom infotype for eRecruiting which starts from 5102 onwards?
Please help asap.

We indeed created the infotype using PPCI.
For checking purpose we assigned it to a OM object & using Transaction PP01 entered a few records just to check if it is working.
But the real test would be if we can successfully bind it to the webdynpro ABAP screen.

Your question is not clear for me. Since it is a TEM infotype, it could be a PD infotype.
If you wish to create a PD infotype, use transaction PPCI to create the infotype.
But before that you need to create a structure HRInnnn (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.
If you wish to create a PA infotype, use transaction PM01 to create the infotype.
But before that you may be required to create a strcuture PSnnnn (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.

Perhaps MM11/12 can't update your custom field because you have use a data element where the flag Document change isn't setted.

Custom Infotype for Org Management

I Iam trying to create custom infotype to capture some infomation on an Org Management custom object and I am not sure if I can do this through PM01 because this is neither employee or applicant info but custom object info. Any idea on how to do this?Hi,
For creating OM custom infotype you should start with transaction SE11. PM01 is only for employee and applicant IT.
Go to SE11Create structure Ex:HRI9009 Create all necessary datatypes. (fields for your IT).
Then go to PPCI enter IT name and number. then maintain Table T77I here maintain time constraint for your IT.

Custom infotype for submodule 'RE'
I am new to SAP HR module . i have created a custom infotype through PM01 for sub module RE. but when iam going to create master data for this custom infotype using PB30 , system creates dump with following error message " Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible."

E-Recruiting : Creation of Search Profile for custom infotypes
Dear experts,
Can anyone let me know if you have created search profiles for custom infotypes in eRecruiting?
The requirement is for the TREX to be able to search for Candidates based on the fields which are defined in this custom infotype. This infotype (9999) is completely custom defined mapped to object NA.
In the IMG,
I don't have to change the search profile type
I created a new Z Information category.
Here, i have to specify an extraction class for this Z Information Category.
Can anyone please tell me what this should be? Can i give it as "CL_HRRCF_CEC_INFOTYPE" ?
Also, can anyone please mention the significance of the table "T77RCF_SPT_INFTY " and how we should be handling the entries here for our custom infotype ? Should we create a custom class to specify here? How should we do this ?
Any inputs & thoughts regarding this will be invaluable.
Needless to say, i created the Z information category with the class CL_HRRCF_CEC_INFOTYPE but when i run the report RCF_RECREATE_SEARCH_PROFILE,It is giving me a lot errors.

To answer your question, Yes, automatic generation of NA for newly hired/created PERNR (P) is because of the integration you have activated between PA and eRecruit via BADI implementations. Look at OSS note 997181 for details on how integration works.
If you dont need integration between PA and eRecruit on PA40 then you may have to tweak the BADI's.

Problem in creating help input for custom infotype creation
Hi,
I had the task of creating a custom infotype for storing recruitment test result.
I created it using the following structure:
Component ______________Data Element

EX_PIC
TEST_RESULT____________ZRESULT_TYPE
STATUS_________________ZSTATUS_TYPE
OTHER_POSITION_________PLANS
Now for the component other_position for the entry help i use is H_T528B with check table T528B. My objective is, when the infotype is accessed through pa30 and user is inputting the entry, when they press F4 on the inputbox for other_position, help search should show the list of all position within the system. But rather than that, the input help display such message:
No values selected
Maintain entries?
Yes No Cancel
When I choose yes, the input help suddenly prompt me to "Choose customizing project" which i believe is from SPRO.
How do I fix this problem so that when I press f4, the help will shows all position within the system.

Adding Custom Infotype to a Infoset

I have created a Custom Infotype for OM with some custom fields.These fields need to be made available to the Infoset for Adhoc Query.
Any idea how this infotype can be added to the infoset?

VijayHere are the steps that I followed:
Enter the transaction code PPCI
Enter a four digit infotype number (9nnn) and an infotype name.
Select Field Infotype
Choose Infotype Create.
Choose Check environment to maintain the required entry in table T777I (Infotypes per object type).
Choose the Entry 'T777I' under the list of 'Table Entries' (This list is produced when you choose 'Check' on the First screen of the Transaction PPCI.
Press the 'Change' button and you will be taken to the 'Maintain Table Views' Transaction (SM30).
Press the Maintain button.
From the list of Infotypes locate the custom infotype created and select the entry for that.
Click on the 'Time Constraint' folder appearing on the left hand corner of the screen.
The screen for Change View Time Constraint would appear.
In the object type field put in: O,P,S whatever is relevant to your requirement.Also add the time constraint.
Save it and double click on the 'Infotypes per object type' folder (on the left hand side again).
Create a new entry here for your infotype and save it.
Come back to the Transaction PPCI and you are all set.
This is all I did and it worked.

Adding Fields to Custom Infotype Using Custom Infoset in SAP QUERY

We have a requirement to add fileds to a custom infotype for querying Custom Infoset in SAP Query.
We are facing problem as the added field is not getting displayed in the Query set so that we can select and display it in the Basic List along with the other filds.

Tcode->PM01 is used to create a new custom infotype.
If you want to create a letter from SAP after a transfer action, you need not create any custom infotype for this. Develop a Z-report & use LDB to fetch the data before & after the transfer action from IT0001. The data before transfer action will always be there in infotype 0001.

Add new loop field in custom infotype - error field .. not assigned to loop
Hi,
I have a task of adding a new loop field in a custom infotype screen 3000. Here, in the past there have only been the fields begin date and end date. I need to add a new field, so this is how I proceeeded:
1) I modified the screen 3000 in SE38, adding the field where I wanted and defining a loop.
Now, I get the syntax error : Field P9500-field is not assigned to a LOOP. LOOP...ENDLOOP must appear in PBO and PAI.
There must be something wrong in what I'm doing, can you please let me know a quick fix on this or how I can accomplish this in PM01? Please keep in mind that this is a custom infotype for SAP TEM, I can't see it in PA.

The old flow logic PBO code was:
LOOP.
MODULE FILL_DYNPRO.
ENDLOOP.
If I wanted to insert here something like:
FIELD whatever
MODULE dummy.
, I'd get stupid error messages like this other field is not in loop, endloop, then if I put that other field I'd get the error that the fields are in the same loop...
Wanting just to get this over with, I added the following code (after the initial loop):
LOOP.
FIELD whatever
MODULE FILL_DYNPRO."same module as above
ENDLOOP.
This was repeated in PAI.
This pretty much works out fine for the moment, I'll look for finer solutions in the week to come.

LOgged Changes in Customer infotype
Dear All,
We have built a custom infotype for holding the bonus data. Some infotype data is stored in a custom table apart from Infotype table. We need to report/ log the changes to the data that is stored in the custom table. I am unable to find out how this can be achieved in table T585A, b or C.

I have done the configuration updations in Table T585A, B & C but the data which is in custom table is not getting reported during running the log report.

Adding new fields in Custom Infotype

I need to change some fields of Custom Infotype. But project is already gone live for 1 country. will making changes to infotype affect for existing live country?
Safe side....We are thinking Adding new fields in Custom Infotype. & displaying corresponding fields for countries in another tab
& hiding the old tab.

Follow these steps.
Go to Transaction PM01.
2) Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create (Should be a 4 digit number, start with 9).
3) Select the u2018Employee Infotypeu2019 radio button.
4) Select the u2018PS Structure Infotypeu2019.
5) Click on Createu2026 A separate table maintenance window appearsu2026
6) Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype
7) Save and Activate the PS structure
8) Go back to the initial screen of PM01.
9) Click on u2018Allu2019 push button. It takes a few moments.
10) Click on u2018Technical Characteristicsu2019. Infotype list screen appears
11) Click on u2018Changeu2019(pencil) button
12) Select your Infotype and click on u2018Detailu2019 (magnifying glass) button
13) Give u2018T591Au2019 as subtype table
14) Give u2018T591Su2019 as subtype txt tab
15) Give your subtype field as subtype field
16) Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
17) Click on u2018Infotype Characteristicsu2019 u2026 Infotype list screen appears
18) Click on u2018Changeu2019 (pencil) button
19) Click on u2018New Entriesu2019
20) Enter your Infotype number and short text
21) Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotypeu2019s infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours)
22) Save your entries.
23) Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
24) If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirementu2026
25) In the PM01 initial screenu2026Select u2018Screenu2019 radio button and give 2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
26) In the next screen.. Select u2018Layout Editoru2019 and click u2018Changeu2019.
27) Screen default layout appearsu2026here you can design/modify the screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
28) Save and activate. (Donu2019t forget to u2018Activate at every level
i think u have to select CI_INCLUDE while enhanceing the Standrad Infotype

I have a Requirement where I've created a Custom Infotype. Now, client needs to add Standard KOSTL and Email Address fileds to it. Whenever, someone tries to create / change this Custom Infotype for any Employee, the Pernr's KOSTL and Email Address should get populated automatically as in Standard Infotypes 0001 and 0105.
Please guide me, how to achieve this functionality.

Record not appearing in custom infotype without selecting the period.
Hi All,
I have created a HR Custom Infotype for Medical Examination. Whenever i create a record for a particular employee and again i click on the Display button for the same employee, a message is diplayed "No data stored for Medical Examination details in the selected period". And when i select the ALL radio-button in the period selection area,only then the record is displayed. Why is it so that manually i need to select the ALL radiobutton to display the record? It is not so for other infotypes. Is there any solution for this, i mean can we change some settings to resolve this issue?

Arpita Raizada.In PA20/30 we have period from and to dates on screen. If any date is entered on these screens then data from infotype is displayed based on these dates.
If your record doesn't overlap/falls with these entered dates then system displays the message. Changes the period dates accordingly and system will display the records valid as of entered date.
