Custom infotype in SAPHRActiveSync - supervisor field

Has anyone been successful in adding a custom infotype in the SAP HR ActiveSync adapter to get the values? I added it to the schema and did the mappings in the wofkflow, but its always returning null value. I need to add supervisor field and work address fields which are custom attributes that are being looked up in another table in SAP, thus no specific infotype for them. I read in the documentation that there are 6 infotypes supported (0000, 0001, 0002, 0006, 0105) but no mention of custom infotypes...anyone faced similar issue and what was the workaround? Should we just use a BAPI call to get the values? We're using IDM v8.0.
Any help is appreciated.. Thanks!

Hi,
When you take a drop down from the infotype column, you will see a window with infotypes. By default, it is restricted to 500 entries. To change that, click on the narrow bar under u201Crestrictionsu201D (has a downward arrow) and change the maximum number of hits to 999. You will then get all the infotypes including the custom ones.
Hope this helps.

  • Customer Infotype modifiction problem

    Hi all,
I have created a Customer Infotype using TCode PM01. It works fine.I am able to enter data using transaction PA30 and choosing my customer infotype and clicking create. Everything is fine till here.
Now I modified its structure and added some fields, and put those fields in the screen, and declared them in my module pool of the infotype as well. I activated the infotype. its fine.
Now when I try to make some entries in my customer infotype using PA30, the fields which were present before are ok - I am abl;e to enter data in them. But the fields I  added later in my infotype are all GREYED and I am not able to put data in those fields. Please suggest what to do.
    Thanks
    Ribhu

    Hi Ribhu,
    Please try the below suggestion.
If you had added 3 new fields,
    <b> zzamount.
    zzyear.
    zzinterest.</b>
You will have to write similiar code in the PAI module
    of the screen you modified.
process function code: ALL fields that appear on the
screen HAVE TO BE listed here (including output-only fields)
*-Customer specific fields in Infotype "9123"
    <b>  CHAIN.
        FIELD p9123-zzamount.
        FIELD p9123-zzyear.
        FIELD p9123-zzinterest.
        MODULE input_status ON CHAIN-REQUEST.
      ENDCHAIN.</b>

  • Issue while modifying entries in custom infotype after enhancement.

    Hi All ,
I have enhanced custom Infotype (Added 2 new fields).
After enhancement, I am facing one issue while updating infotype through FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION.
Issue is that I am not able to update/modify records through FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION.
RETURN parameter of FM comes empty indicating no errors but actual records in database table are not updated. I debugged FM and found that SAVE button on PA30 screen is disabled.
Anyone knows reason for above proble and also please help me in solving issue.
    Regards,
    Jigar Thakkar.

    Thanks for your response.
Yes i am able to update IT9201 through PA30 but not with FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION. Also I have activated PXXXX structure through PM01.
While debugging FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION i saw that SAVE button is disabled and processing stops there.

  • Creating custom infotype

    Hi,
I want to create a custom infotype with the following fields.
    Molga (country grouping)
    Personnel Number
    Subtype
    Language Key
    Comment Line 1
    Comment Line 2
    Comment Line 3
in this first 4 fields are keys. The user should be able to edit only the rest of the fields.
Subtypes similar to the infotypes values 0168,0169,0014,0015,0009,0006,0002 should be created.
While updating and saving the infotypes 0168,0169,0014,0015,0009,0006,0002 the system should prompt this infotype through dynamic action to enable the user to enter comments.

    Hi Madhu Reddy , instead of using screen-invisible = '1' , u can try this .
    MODULE sereen_modify OUTPUT.
    DATA:  COL TYPE CXTAB_COLUMN.
LOOP AT TC-COLS into COL.      " TC is ur Table Control
      IF col-screen-group1 EQ '007'.     " Modification group1 is say 007.Also u can add other              checks like pnnnn-subty = 1 here .
       col-invisible = '1'.
       col-screen-output = '0'.
modify TC-COLS from COL index COL-INDEX.
         ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.

    Write the FM inside,
    at selection-screen on value-request for <nam1>.
It seems that you are calling the funtion module for only first field. Repeat it for other two fields also-
    at selection-screen on value-request for <nam2>
    call FM.
    at selection-screen on value-request for <nam3>
    call FM.

  • Adding a text field in a custom infotype

    Hi,
I have a custom infotype which deals with sickness data of the employee
My requirement is that the user will enter an explaianation for his sickness...etc. Thus I need to incorporate a text field in my infotype.
What I am planning is to give a button on the screen of infotype, so when user clicks it a text editor will open and and he can insert or update his sickness text data.
Please tell me how do i do that and also if there is any alternate better approach.
    Regards,
    Neha

you need to make a custom container on which you have to put editor
use class cl_gui_custom_container, cl_gui_text_editor, first define instances in top include then create objects. if you want this to be done when you click on any button then put this coding in the function code of that button.

  • Adding Fields to Custom Infotype Using Custom Infoset in SAP QUERY

    Kindly suggest a solution.

    Hi Salman,
Thank you for your valuable information. I haven't Configured Dynamic Actions yet. Is it simple to write the Logic for Dynamic Actions. Is this the only way to solve this Issue?
I tried by adding the standard fields, but they are not populating the values; but just appearing as Input Fields with Input help option.
Please let me know if you have any suggestion in this direction?

  • Custom infotype - issues with conversion class - making fields display only

    Hi,
I created the custom infotype 9008 using t-code PM01, created conversion class ZCL_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_9008_XX and assigned it to screen structure ZHCMT_BSP_PA_XX_R9008 in the view V_T588UICONVCLAS. Coded the methods IF_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_STANDARDOUTPUT_CONVERSION and IF_HRPA_UI_CONVERT_STANDARDINPUT_CONVERSION. I'm trying to make some fields display only within the method OUTPUT_CONVERSION dynamically. Coded the check class ZCL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_9008 with business logic.
Everything seems to be working fine when I test using the test tool through t-code PUIT_UI.
When I try to create/modify 9008 record through PA30, the code in the methods OUTPUT_CONVERSION  and INPUT_CONVERSION is never getting executed. The control is not coming there at all. The fields are allowing input. Any idea why this is happening.
We are on ECC 6.0 and at service pack level SAPKE60035. Couldn't find any relevant SAP notes as well.  Appreciate your help in this regard.
    Thanks,
    Kumar.

  • Custom Infotype with multiple long text fields

    Hi,
We have a need to create a custom Infotype (in PA or PD) that will contain more than one long-text area.
I've searched this forum and found that there are generally two approaches :
    1. use the HR clusters for long-text and setting the ITXEX field in PA
    2. using SAP standard text area (SO10) and functions such as READ_TEXT, SAVE_TEXT, etc.
The problem with (1) is that it can only store one long-text.  We need to have many.  Please correct me if we can hold more than one long text in the cluster...?
With regard to (2), I'm just not sure that this is the correct place to store the long text...?
If I was to adopt option (2), could I just use the key of PA9nnn (ie: PAKEY) as the key/TDNAME for STXH?
Are there any other methods to store long text?
As well, is it possible to create a custom Infotype in PD?  Can we use PM01 to create PD infotypes?
    Thanks,
    Raj

Sorry I'm not much help on the two questions you have raised...you have probably already got answers by now anyway..however FYI check out link below for enhancing PD infotypes (use transaction PPCI).

  • Add new loop field in custom infotype - error field .. not assigned to loop

    Hi,
I have a task of adding a new loop field in a custom infotype screen 3000. Here, in the past there have only been the fields begin date and end date. I need to add a new field, so this is how I proceeeded:
    1) I modified the screen 3000 in SE38, adding the field where I wanted and defining a loop.
Now, I get the syntax error : Field P9500-field is not assigned to a LOOP. LOOP...ENDLOOP must appear in PBO and PAI.
There must be something wrong in what I'm doing, can you please let me know a quick fix on this or how I can accomplish this in PM01? Please keep in mind that this is a custom infotype for SAP TEM, I can't see it in PA.
    Best regards,
    George

Not a nice solution but I had to do this quick and I'll correct it in the next days:
The old flow logic PBO code was:
      LOOP.
        MODULE FILL_DYNPRO.
      ENDLOOP.
If I wanted to insert here something like:
      FIELD whatever
        MODULE dummy.
, I'd get stupid error messages like this other field is not in loop, endloop, then if I put that other field I'd get the error that the fields are in the same loop...
Wanting just to get this over with, I added the following code (after the initial loop):
      LOOP.
        FIELD whatever
          MODULE FILL_DYNPRO."same module as above
      ENDLOOP.
    This was repeated in PAI.
This pretty much works out fine for the moment, I'll look for finer solutions in the week to come.
    Thanks for the help, guys.
    Best regards,
    George
