Custom kiosk: disable numbers from turning into hyperlink or phone number?

Hi all,
When creating a custom storefront in the Adobe DPS App Builder, I get the following situation on my ipad:
If I use the following text 2013 - 103 for example, it turns into a hyperlink and when clicked on, you can "add it to contacts or copy".
Anyone knows how I can fix this, cause, yeah, I don't want this :-)
We've tried adding "<meta name="format-detection" content="telephone=no">" to our html page, but so far, nothing worked.
So, if anyone could help me out with this, that would be great!

Working in a school district with managed preferences on Macbooks. Want to be able to disable students from turning off their AirPort. Anyone know of a way to accomplish this?

You can't turn off the light, but you can stop by the office supply place and pickup some 1/2" round, white stickers. Depending on how many layers you place on the Express, you can adjust the intensity of the light to suit your taste.
The stickers look much better than a piece of tape.

one can't sync iPhones with ipads
best you can do is to sync all with iclouds
if you do so and wish to stop syncing contacts with one of the iPhones you have set it not to sync contacts in the settings of the iPhone

You can't, you need to turn the phone in Silent/Vibrate Mode.

Dial Numbers from Global Directory on Cisco phone

Hi,
I want to dial numbers from the global directory on the 8961 phone. This worked a few days ago. Now it doesn´t anymore. Nothing has changed as far as i know.
I can see the contact after I searched it. I also the the number but when I press dial nothing happens.
Any tipps?

IMessage suddenly sending messages from email address rather than phone number

Recipients of my iMessages have reported that it has switched from being from my name/number to being from my email account. I have not changed any settings and the iphone 5 is up to date with all updates and has been restarted several times. I also went into iMessage settings and send&receive settings and tried a few things (including turning iMessage on and off, signing in and out of my account, etc), to no avail. Why is it suddenly doing this and how can it be corrected?

There are a few steps you can try to resolve this. First, turn iMessage off completely in Settings>Messages, and restart your device by fully powering it down, then power it back up. Once complete, turn iMessaging back on and see what happens. Again turn iMessage off, restart device, and turn iMessage back on. You'd be surprised what that can fix.
Also, if you have both your phone number AND the apple ID selected in send/receive in settings>messages, and you aren't connected to data at that moment, the iMessage from whoever is messaging you will be sent to the Apple ID only, hence why the conversation will begin using the email. This is something that is pretty common, and if you don't have a data plan, or if you turn your data off often, this will continue to happen.
Hopefully my first step will refresh the issue, resolving it!

IMessage sent from email address rather than phone number...

I'm having similar problems with my iMessage update under iOS 5. When I send text messages to other iPhone users, it appears as iMessage and from my email address rather than my phone number. I went into Settings > Messages > Receive At, but there's no option to add my phone number. It keeps showing my Apple Account, which I registered under for iMessage and iCloud with my email address. It only allows me to add another email address. From what I can tell, non-iPhone users are still receiving my text messages from my number like regular. If I turn iMessage OFF, I'm sending regular text messages to all users. Anyone have a fix yet? I'm wondering if this was an Apple goof that won't be resolved until the next iPhone update.

What I am curious about is, how do I know if what I'm sending is coming from my number as a text message or as an iMessage with my Apple ID. I'm really asking this specifically because, I have friends overseas who I have been texting..now we have iMessenger.. but how do I know it's not being sent as a text instead (therefore costing me money)? Just because it's being sent using their email?
I've used a Blackberry before, and they have their texting & BBM as two seperate applications with two seperate icons...kinda hoping Apple had done the same here :/

Why does my iMessage randomly send from my email instead of phone number on my iPhone?

I have iMessage set up on my iPhone 5s (fully updated) and regularly use it since most of my contacts also have imessage. I mainly use it on my iPhone, but sometimes use the messaging app on my Mac.
I have an email linked to my iMessage, it is my apple ID. I have it set as "can be reached at" my phone number and email and "start new conversations from" ONLY my phone number.
However, sometimes when I'm in the middle of a text conversation with someone, they will end up getting an imessage from my email and not my phone number, which confuses people and puts the conversation in two different places.
Is this a common issue? Do I just remove the email from where I can be reached at? Does doing that disable me from using the messenger app on my mac?

Unfortunately yes - if you have both phone number and email checked as available then sometimes the choice from where to send appears to be random.
However you may want to disable the email as a potential contact point on the phone and leave it on in the pad and see what happens - given the cloud based nature of the system it may synchronize at some point but at least you will know .

Messages thru my email. I have tried to fix this by going to Settings > messaging > recieved at> and my phone number pops up along with my email. It will let me click on my email, but my phone number is greyed out and I can't click on it.i have also tried caller id, which still didn't fix the problem.
Trying to kill two birds with one stone, my phone also says that I have no storage left. I literally have 3 apps installed on my phone. Facebook, Twitter, and instagram. I only have 52 photos, 0 videos, and about 115 songs. I know for a fact that I shouldn't be out of storage, because I have friends with the same iPhone 4, that have 400 pictures, a thousand songs, and page after page of apps. I want to know what is taking up all of the storage, and what can I do to get rid of it. Thank you in advance

Create a customer code using the First letter of a customer name and the last 4 digits of a phone number

I am trying to create a form where one the customer has input their name and phone number it should grab the first letter of the customer's name and then the last 4 digits of the phone number.
I am not very good at coding, and have VERY VERY limited background in coding. I understand a little (the basics pretty much).
I am thinking i am not using the right expression to get what i want. Below is the statement I have write. This is just to find the first letter of the name, have an idea on how to get the phone number but i was trying the use the "left" and "right" functions but they wouldn't work. More specifically the left.

If you switch your language to FormCalc you can use the Left and Right functions, e.g.
Concat(Left(Name,1) , Right(Phone,4))

How to prevent exported phone numbers from converting into garbage?

I'm trying to export a list of segment members into Excel. Whether I export them as .csv or .xls format, when I open them in Excel, the numbers display in "number" format - i.e. they've been converted to values like 3.58295E+11. If I try to convert the number format in Excel into "text," it doesn't change the number back to its original value. Is there a way to stop this conversion from happening in the first place?

Not sure if this is the correct answer but I have a workaround. I load the segment into a campaign and choose add to shared list. If you do not have a blank list just create one to load the contacts into- run the campaign and you should have a properly formatted list without the number issue. I am guessing the list you exported has additional data appended that is making it format strange. Hope that helps- has worked for me in the past.

Custom File Info panels from PS into LR

I have a large number of Custom File Info panels created for use within Photoshop that are imperative to our workflow of different departments. These Metadata strings are later read by Extensis Portfolio as our DAM tool of choice.
I don't see to be able to find where to change this other than making minor tweaks to existing Metadata presets. Any clues hmmm? Ta

Many of us are hoping Adobe enhances Lr to provide better support for custom metadata - as you've noticed, Lightroom is not one of those "Standard Adobe Applications" referred to in the above link.

My latest itunes version is disabling me from turning manual sync on, on my apple devices. how can i prevent this?

everytime i connect my iphone on my laptop my itunes keeps on turning off the manual sync for songs. everytime i turn it on it erases all the contents, but when i reconnect it it's off again. how can i fix this?

There really is no way to tell iTunes which songs you deleted from the iPod and would no longer want synced to the device. So you'll have to keep doing what you want for now.
It's one of the downfalls currently associated with being able to delete content directly from your device.

Problem with reading numbers from file into double int array...

Okay, this is a snippet of my code:

map[][] is a double int array. Now, the code is running through each line of the text file (with each line looking like this: 0,3,6,2,2,3,1,5,2,3,5,2), and I want to put the numbers into a corresponding double int array (which is where map[][] comes in). Now, this code WOULD work, except I need to set the sizes of each array before I start adding, but I don't know how to get the exact sizes.. how can I get around this issue?

I tried doing:

Your syntax is just wrong -- or, this forum software has bug in handling angle brackets.
ArrayList<ArrayList<Integer>>...The closing angle bracket after the second 'ArrayList' is the one generated by the bug. Basically, it should be T<T<T2>> without spaces. Oh, for that matter:
Arraylist<ArrayList<Integer>>

How to disable app from opening into full screen mode

Dear all I'm on OSX 10.8.4 and every time i start an app it'll go to full screen even after quiting it and opening the app again. Is there a way to stop this from happening

Full-screen mode is controlled by you. If you take it OUT of full-screen mode (go to the very top right of the screen, wait for the menubar to drop down, click the blue inward-facing arrow icon), and THEN quit the app, it will remember the preference and open in normal windowed-mode next time.
