Please let me know how to create custom operations for a custom rule that should be included and invoked during payroll run.

I want to create operation for payroll. Syntax is 000xyyyyy.'000' is the operation name let's say crt,x is cumty,yyyy is the wage type. This operation needs to retrieve the crt for the wage type yyyy and cumty 'x' . I need to check wethere the results are retro'd and then retrieve crt for wagetype. Can you please have any document which gives the parameter description clearly that should be passed to custom operation. using F1 help i am unable to understand clearly the parameters that should be passed.

Hi,
I have a query in HR.
I need to create a custom operation that will multiply the current RT-BETRG by 0.016200 and place the value in the VAR table for OASDI (I.E., WGTY "FICA").
I know the tcode to be used is PE04 but dont know how to implement the above logic. Can some one send the steps to create the custom operation and implement the logic. Thanks.

You must to write your logic in include PCBURZ990. Create a routine with name:
OPXXXXX
Where XXXXX is the operation name. After this, go to PE04 and create the operation.

I'm configuring oracle access system, i must protect some[b] java classes, so i'm going to define a new resource type (java_class type exactly)
I've read on th oracle access system administration guide, that i can define custom operation on new resources. what kind of operation can i define on a java class resource??? the constructor??? the main method?? or some other method??

Custom Operations in SAP XI

Hi,
is it possible to create our custom defined operations to operate on the received messages ?
For example, consider this scenario:

Exporting/Sharing Custom XMP metadata schema not possible?

I've written a Python script which automatically encodes Quicktime files which I've mastered out of Premiere Pro CC with embedded custom XMP metadata (created using "New Schema" in the Metadata Display panel). I'm using the embedded custom metadata to drive the Python script (e.g. "Spot Title", "Client Name", fields etc etc), which encodes the source QT file to several different formats, based on the delivery specifications of various local TV broadcasters which the encoded files will go to.
Everything about the XMP metadata entry/writing/parsing is fantastic. My only hitch is in the exporting/sharing of the custom metadata schema which I created for this purpose. I would like to roll the schema out to the other editors in our facility, so that they can also enter the XMP metadata on their own systems when they export out master timelines from Premiere.
But unless I'm missing something, I can't figure out a way to "share" or export my custom schema for use on another system. Is this not possible in Premiere Pro CC?

There's no feature for exporting and importing custom schemas, but it's entirely doable. Here are the path to the custom schemas
MAC: Macintosh HD ▸ Users ▸ <username> ▸ Library ▸ Application Support ▸ Adobe ▸ XMP ▸ Custom File Info Panels ▸ 4.0 ▸ custom
WIN: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\XMP\custom file info panels\4.0\panels [I can't vouch for this path as I'm on Mac at the moment and it's been ages since I poked around for custom schemas, but this should at least be the right neighborhood.]

You will have to look at the canonical framework which 11g uses for such operations. Refer to article id: 1311568.1 which talks about modifying the search user page during request creation to add additional search fields.

Technology-Specific Customized Operating Systems

I am in the health care & biotech field. What i find interesting is the huge price tags of data analysis software & applications, or the wimpy computing systems they might attach with said applications. Why doesn't someone market a Mac mini (clustered if need be) with applications on the desktop geared for specific industries. With the price of the Mac mini, you could undercut any competitor. There are soooo many free applications out there...and even linking into some of the GNU apps...would allow clients to further customize as needed?
I have collected...journals, articles, data software apps, etc...that could easily be added to the HD. Creating a simple desktop again geared toward the industry of your client without all the other useless crap applications would make for a nice, efficient, compact OS?
Has this already been done?
If so....where would I find them??

I'm not aware of anyone who has done this. I think part of the problem is that many of those applications are useless to most people who use computers. The average consumer wants the ability to manage their photos and music and videos. Hence the iLife suite makes a lot sense. You can always erase and install the operating system and only include the operating system, if iLife doesn't interest you. There are video shops which specialize in including video software with Macs. If you think there is a market to make such a computer, go ahead and create it for yourself. http://www.apple.com/buy interestingly enough lists some consultancies that sell Macs that are hard to find in real life (i.e. no street front/store front). Maybe some of those are what you are looking for? Call around and ask in your area if you find you can't locate the store.

Custom function/operation creation for payroll

Steps to create a custom function in pe04 and to create the code include

I am new to HR time management.i require to create a custom quota
function in pe04 .
I believe it requires me to first include the source code under
the include RPTMOZ00..Its not editable and throws mesage that
its lckd by some other 'client'..Do i need some access key
there? moreover without this i do not know how to proceed in
pe04.I dont evn have any idea what all should be put in the
paramaters in the pe04 attributes.Just have been told about the
countries to specify there. please suggest what all inputs
should i ask my functional people to provide on this and what
all can i handle technically and how..any help would be

Step by Step creation of SAP Payroll Funcitons:
1) Follow the menu path
   Human Resources>>Time Management>>Administration>>Tools>>Funtions/Operations
   or transaction PE04. Enter a four digit name for e.g ZIABC, and press the create
   button, enter the description. On creation the system proposes the name of
   the routine use it, or enter a name of your choice by selecting the option 'Self-defined'.
2) During the execution of payroll some tables are filled with wage types and there amounts
   to make these tables available to your routine enter the name of the table for e.g (RT or
   CRT) in the input parameters, and to make the changes done to the data in the tables
   avaiable to the payroll enter the name of the table in the Output parameters as well.
   Input Parameters
   Ctry                                         Num     Object Name
   99                                           1       RT
   99                                           2       CRT
and same shall be done in the Output Paramters if required.
3) Create an include in the program PCBURZ990 (using Transaction:
SE38), in which create a subroutine with the name supplied by SAP or the
name selected by you during Funtion creation,
in our case, it is FUZIABC.
Note: The program PCBURZ990 is in SAP Namespace, so an Access Key
will be required before you can proceed. But it will not be overwritten during any upgrade.
*Example of the subroutine
   FORM FUZIABC.
*enter the code
   ENDFORM.
4) After this activate the program the Funtion and add it in the schema used for payroll processing.

Why dont you go and check the coding for OUTWP operation in PE04.
give operation as OUTWP and DISPLAY.
In the top you will see button for disp/change, where used, SOURCE CODE, documentation.
click on SOURCE CODE and you will be able to see 2 programs. Check how the programming is done for OUTWP. Specially the second program.
Depending on the parameter like cost center or plant etc different variable keys are passed back.
This should give you an idea on how you should be able to create your custom operation. Take the help of an ABAPer to understand it better.

I need to read an amonunt from a customer table in the payroll schema. Is it possible to input TABLE XXXX in the schema, or is impossible to read from a customer table?Do I need to create a report to upload the amount in an infotype?

You should create your own custom operation (based on operation TABLE) to read your custom table from a Payroll PCR.
If your custom table's name is longer than 5 characters, you may be required to use operations VAOFF and/or VALEN prior to your custom operation in the PCR.

1)go to pe04.
2)put name-in this way %WTAR,it must start with % otherwise
it wnt ask for custom package.
3)select operation and press create button.
4)now u have to mention the parameters u can take the help regarding this by pressing f4 or f1 because i did the same thing.
5)then go to the source text button on the top.
6)ven ever u select this button it will ask for program name select this program name -SAPFP51T .
7)ven ever u click on this program name a include called RPTMOZ00 will come.
8)then without mentioning access key etc u can write ur codes with the help of enhancement implementation in this include.

BIZTALK bts action mapping problem with Message Schemas for the Composite Operation

I have a message schema made with the composite operation.
now, I have re-deployed my biztalk project and in the send port for this Oracle composite message the SOAP action header hasn't updated the correct action.
now I tried several verations for this soap action mapping and this is what I got:

The Action for Oracle Composite Operations is:
