Custom paper size with HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer

I am wanting to print on a paper size 12x18.  I do not find a "Custom" paper size on my printer HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer.  Is there another driver which I can download which would allow me to enter custom paper sizes?

    Hello bondcip ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue when attempting to Print on A3 paper.
What program are you printing from?  Does this happen with Microsoft word or emails?
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor and let me know if it finds any errors and what they are.
    Cheers,

  • How do I get my Macbook Pro to print with HP Officejet 7500a Wide Format printer

My Macbook Pro (Retina Display) seems to have a problem to print with the HP Officejet 7500a - Wide Format printer - Is it the OS X 10.10.2 causing the problem. It works when connected to the USB cable - but wireless print is a problem.

let's see-on printer control panel, you've pressed the right arrow, then "network" then "wireless" then "wireless setup wizard" then OK,
and the wireless capability has been turned on, yes? (I didn't know you could turn it off) -either press the wireless button, or press setup on the printer's control panel, then wireless menu, then touch "On". A blue light should be lit up.
Failing that, restart the wireless components-turn off router, then printer, then turn on router and then turn on printer.  dunno what else to suggest
apparently, you can do a wireless test from the printer-right arrow, then network, then wireless, then wireless network test.. .
also see if there are any updates for your printer-there has been a firmware update for this printer from  2012-try that, there is also a software update for 10.10 apparently it adds direct wireless printing...

  • HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format - Can't reset the paper size - won't print!!!

I have a new HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format All-in-one printer.  I love it and have had no problems with it...until now.  The other day I went into Photoshop and printed a 4x6 photo and now my printer will not allow me to print on 8.5X11.  I have checked the paper size in Photoshop, Word, Excel, Acrobat...everything I used that day, but it all shows "letter" size paper in the properties.  I also checked the printer utilities...letter size paper is selected.
But when I try to print, the printer and the computer both give me a "paper mismatch" error and my only option is to change the paper or cancel.  I went back into photoshop again and was able to print a 4x6 photo again - once I put in 4x6 paper - but then I changed it back to an 8.5X11 size photo sheet and tried to print on letter size paper and..."paper mismatch'.
I changed the printer back to factory settings.  Nothing.  I just had to reset up my printer on my network, but it still won't print.  I tried to re-install the printer software from the installation disk, but it won't install.  It says "already installed".
HELP!!!!!!  I honestly don't know what to do at this point!!!!!
    Thanks in advance!!

I have struggled with a similer problem with my new 7500A.  I've done all the things you did. I made sure I had all updates and the firm ware update. I spent time on the phone with a lady who meant well but clearly didn't know the product. I had a difficult time communicating with her. Her accent was in the way. This morning I realy didn't want to face another day of this struggle.  As I walked into my studio I had a idea. Instead of going to the computer to try to solve my problem through menues, HP Customer Service and or communities. I went dirrectly to the printer.  I turned the printer on, the little screen on the printer lit up I touched the arrow to go to the next screen of menus. I touched "Set Up"  then scrolled down through the choices. I picked "Preferences". At the bottom of the list was.............. Media Width/Type Sensing (ON)............I promptly turned it (OFF) ......................I am printing as I was told I would be able to do prior to buying. I am not getting that anoying screen  "Paper Mismatch" . The printer is printing now on my 12 x 12 stock regardless of the type. ie: cardstock, plain paper, colored paper, construction paper. I hope this helps some of you out there.  Clearly HP was of "NO" help to me. I have read that others are installing HP 7000 drivers etc.  I've solved the problem without going to those lengths, no thanks to HP.

  • Photosmart C410: How do I associate a custom paper size with the photo tray?

Our Photosmart 3310 recently broke down and I purchased a C410 to replace it.  I sell a small item online that I ship in 3 5/8 x 6 1/2 envelopes.  With the 3310, I had figured out a way to print the envelopes from the photo tray.  While Word 2007 allows me to select the photo tray, the printer would not print from there until I created a custom paper size in the printer preferences dialog box.
One of the reasons I got the C410 was for the photo tray.  It's a real pain to have to swap out the regular paper and stick in one evelope every time I want to print another envelope.  Well, unfortunately, that's what I've been doing.  I select the photo tray in Word, but the printer goes right ahead and prints from the main tray.  I had forgotten what I did to make it work on the 3310, so I experimented with that printer's drivers until I figured it out.
My problem is that the software interface for the C410 is different than that for the 3310.  I can't figure out how to associate a custom paper size with the photo tray.  To test my theory this evening, I told Word that my envelope size was 5 x 7.  The printer didn't hesitate to take an envelope from the photo tray.  Of course the return address went into a dark void because the envelope is not 5 x 7.
The difference between the two interfaces is that the 3310 has both printing shortcuts as well as "Print Task Quick Sets."  The C410 only has printing shortcuts.
If anyone can help me, I'll be very grateful!  I've probably spent hours trying to get this figured out, and I have no idea what to do.

    Hi,
Which Microsoft product (application) are you using ? Printer supports the following custom sizes:
From ADF: Custom-sized media (ADF) between 127 to 216 mm wide and 241 to 305 mm long (5 to 8.5 inches wide and 9.5 to 12 inches long)
From input tray: Custom-sized media between 76.2 to 216 mm wide and 101 to 762 mm long (3 to 8.5 inches wide and 4 to 30 inches long)
You need to select right custom size from the application.
    Regards.

  • HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format Printer from IPad

I would like to print 11" x 17" documents to our HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format from an IPad without access to a wireless network.  I have downloaded the HP ePrint and PrinterControl apps and they don't have the 11" x 17" option.  I was told by the HP Help Center that I need a 'third party' app.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Unfortunately there is no way to print to the Officejet 7500A using your iPad without having access to a wireless network. The wireless network is how the iPad and printer comunicate with each other. If neither devices have any kind of network connection, then there is no way possible for them to communicate.

  • Managing Custom Paper Sizes with the Epson 2000P

    Hi,
I recently started using the iMac and after installing the software for the Epson 2000P found that I could not print a 13 x 44 image. I set up a custom paper size and when the page printed it only printed 18" of the image. I tried the Epson 1280 with the same set up and was able to get 22". I thought maybe the file was to large a cut it in half with no luck. I increased the memory allotment of the program as well and still no luck. I have emailed and called Epson support and can't get any answers from them so I thought I would check here at Apple. If you have any advice I would greatly appreciuate it.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Crystal Reports 2008 supports custom page sizes.  You can set this in the Page Properties for the report in the Crystal Reports Designer, I'm not sure if you can set it in the SDK as well.

  • Officejet 7500A Wide Format printer connects intermittently to computer through wireless network

I have a recently purchased Officejet 7500A printer that I would like to use wirelessly.  I have an Apple wireless router and am running Windows 7 on my computer.  The printer and computers individually connect to the network and there are no issues with the router.  The issue is with the connection between the computer and printer.  I can print things from my computer by emailing the file to the printer, but only sometimes does it work through directly printing from the software.  I have tried to scan from my computer and from the printer, but get the same error message from both that there is no communication between the printer and computer.  I suspect it is a firewall issue, but am not sure how to modify the settings to allow this communication to occur.  I have the windows firewall and have Advanced System Protector software, but have disabled the windows shield in that software.  Help?

So do you have multiple anti-virus systems installed on your PC (even if they are not all active)?  If so, this can certainly lead to bizarre behavior.
I would pick one system, uninstall others using their own unistallers (restarting the PC after every uninstall).
With the one you chose to have  on your system, make sure it is updated to the latest rev.

  • OfficeJet 7500A Wide Format Printer Squeaks

Either the paper rollers or the cartridge carrier  , or both, squeeks.  Any suggestions?

My HP 7500A is a couple years old, or so it feels.  It started squeaking pretty bad a month ago.  Sometimes I'll be printing out 50 or 100 copies of something and it got pretty old.  My fix (so far so good) was to squirt a very small amount of Triflow (spray lube with teflon) on the easiest to reach and see points at the end of the rollers where they disappear into the housing.  Just lifted up the main top like I was going to swap ink cartridges and put a little spritz (using the tube) on the ends.
Then I removed the rear cover at the back of the printer where a duplexer would be mounted (if I had one).  Again just a tiny bit of lube on the ends of the roller bar where it goes into the housing.
This process cost me 2 sheets of paper where the lube dripped on the right edge of the sheets, but the squeaking is gone.  May it never return.  The source of the squeaking seemed to be during the drawing a new sheet of paper out of the tray.  It wouldn't seem like I'd hit those points, but Triflow has an amazing ability to travel to where it is needed.  I kept it well away from rollers and was careful not to use it excessively.  Just at the ends.
The Triflow seems to be friendly with all the plastic it comes into contact with.  I'm sure if I had a warranty it would have been voided, but that was not one of my concerns.

  • Officejet 7612 Wide Format e-All-in-One

Hi, my printer shows a message wireless communications has been disabled, and I cannot access the wireless setup wizard,  can someone help me to fix this.
    Thank you

Hello @Grant2484  Welcome to the HP Forums
I read about how you cannot access the Wireless Setup Wizard on your Officejet 7612, and I would like to help you!
I would either suggest trying to restore the Network Defaults, or restore the printer itself to Factory Defaults. Definitely try restoring the network defaults first.
Select Setup, Network, Restore Network Defaults, Yes
Select Setup, Tools, Restore Factory Defaults, Restart the printer and try running the Wireless Setup Wizard again from the Network Menu.
Let me know what happens when you try to connect to your network again!

  • Problems with Custom Paper Size and Address Book

I'm having some trouble printing from Address Book onto a custom paper size. I'm attempting to set up a notecard, and only print one at a time, rather than multiple columns as in the Labels option. The trouble is that when creating this small size, Address Book doesn't recognize it as anything other than a regular sheet of US Letter, and thus prints the address in the middle of the page.
I have no problem printing envelopes, though, which seems odd because they too go in the manual feed for my printer. The notecards are similar width to the envelopes, but only about half the length.
Has anyone else experienced problems with custom paper sizes printing improperly? I'm using an HP 4515 LaserJet, but have access to a few other laser printers. Thanks for any insight

I have had the same problem, and with the same result; Adobe Tech Support can't help or fix, after 15 hours on phone, Level 2 support. It is a software bug Adobe has, and can't seem to fix.  I just upgraded to Lightroom CC, and my problem migrated with the upgrade.  I print in Photoshop fine.
If you found an answer, I would appreciate  knowing how to do it!
    Thanks

First of all, trash and refresh your Photoshop preferences.
To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Note: If this process doesn't work for you while you're using a wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard, attach a wired keyboard and retry.
Important: If you re-create the preferences by deleting the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings file, make sure that you only delete that file. If you delete the entire settings folder, you also delete any unsaved actions or presets.
Reinstalling Photoshop does not remove the preferences file. Before reinstalling Photoshop, re-create your preferences.
NEW Video! Julieanne Kost created a video that takes you through two ways of resetting your Photoshop preferences. The manual preference file removal method is between 0:00 - 5:05. The keyboard shortcut method is between 5:05 - 8:18. The video is located here.

Important: Apple made the user library folder hidden by default with the release of Mac OS X 10.7. If  you require access to files in the hidden library folder to perform Adobe-related troubleshooting, see How to access hidden user library files.

  • Hp 7500a wide format installation for MacBook Pro

Can you please provide me a download link for the printer and scan setup drivers for hp 7500a wide format for macbook pro - mac os x 10.10.2 yosemite?

    Hello PoojaP,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Regarding the software for the Officejet 7500a Wide Format, there is not any Full Feature Software and Drivers available from us. With that said, you will be able to download and install the Apple driver package.
HP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X<---
Once installed, ensure that Apple OS is up to date too. Add the printer in System Preferences> Printers & Scanners, either via USB or Bonjour Multifunction.
Hope this help, let me know!
