Custom Parameter Provider in new WD template not working (NW04S SP11)
Hi,
We're attempting to use the Custom Parameter provider in our portal for many Web Dynpro iviews. In the end we will have from 100-300 SAP clients in the backendsystem and we need this functionality to dynamically route users to the correct backendsystem.
Our problem is as follows:
We intend to replace the suffix (clientnumber) for the "sap-wd-arfc-useSys" parameter in the iview property "Application Parameter" so that the value would look something like this:
sap-wd-arfc-useSys=SAP_R3_Travel: SAP Application we see that the property is there (given in red font color) so I assume it's hidden from editing. How can we edit it or display it for editing? (Btw we have sent an OSS to SAP on the matter)
One more thing:
We tested our provider service on the old template and discovered that it only triggers on the iview properties and not the provider parameter that we have registered ("ervjcopostfix"). What are we doing wrong? To me it seems that it fails in the first run (find provider in registry) and jumps forward to the component profile (e.g. Iview properties).
Why isn't the iview checking for our parameter in the registry? (of course we have verified that the parameter is in the registry and the service is up and running).
Hope you can help.
Best Regards,
Hans Petter Bjørn
This appears to be resolved... I think something got corrupted on my custom client settings after the mof import. I deleted it and recreated a new client settings for our pcs. I then re-enabled the hardware inventory for these 2 mof entries.
I updated the policy and then did another hardware inventory cycle. I now see the entry in the log and in resource explorer.

After upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 templates not working in smartform
Hello,
After upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 templates not working properly in smartform, although value is flowing to the point the template is getting called and inside the template there are text elements where placeholders are kept to display the value, when the print is taken there are no values being displayed by the text elements.
Please note - Text elements doesnot have any conditions present in the condition tabstrip.
Thanks,
AbhishekHi,
After the upgrade, you will have to do the security upgrade.
Please follow these steps.
1. Go To SU25
2. Run step 2A to 2D.
3. In step 2C, you shall get the list of all the affected roles.
Click on first role. It will take you to authorizations of that role. Click on the "New" tab there to find the new objects added to the role after the upgrade.
Note: You can open the same role in the unupgraded system to check.
4. Provide the access to the required authorization objects.
5. Disable the unwanted authorization objects.
6. Generate the profile.
7. Follow the same steps for all the affected roles listed.
Please note that you will have a list of new objects added. You need to maintain them inorder to avoid any access issues.
8. After step 2C, complete 2D.

Add new document link not working in upgraded sharepoint 2013?
Hello there,
Upgraded SharePoint team sites from 2010 to 2013. add new document link not working for shared document in upgraded sharepoint 2013?. it is specially not working on machine where Office web apps set up with this sharePoint server and it
is working fine with environment Office web apps not configured with Sharepoint.
Looking resoluion /suggestion, thanks in advance.
Regards,
SushilHi Sushil,
According to your description, my understanding is that the add new document link was not working on machine where Office web apps set up with this SharePoint server after you upgraded SharePoint team sites
from 2010 to 2013.
For your issue, it can be caused by integrating Office Web Apps with upgraded SharePoint Site.
Firstly please make sure claims-based authentication is used by the SharePoint web application that is used to create the new document. Only web applications that use claims-based authentication can open
files in Office Web Apps. To determine the authentication provider for a web application, follow these steps:
1.In SharePoint 2013 Central Administration, click Manage web applications.
2.Select the web application that you want to check, and click Authentication Providers on the ribbon.
The authentication provider must be displayed as Claims Based Authentication for Office Web Apps to work correctly with the web application. To resolve this issue, you can delete the web application and recreate
it using claims-based authentication, or you can change the authentication method of the web application.
Secondly, make sure the WOPI zones match on the SharePoint 2013 and the Office Web Apps Server farm.
To do this, run the following command on the SharePoint Server:
Get-SPWopiZone
The result will be one of the following:.
internal-https
internal-http
external-https
external-http
Next, run the following command on the SharePoint Server.
Get-SPWOPIBinding
In the output, look for WopiZone: zone. If the results from Get-SPWopiZone don’t match the zone that is returned by Get-SPWOPIBinding, run the Set-SPWOPIZone -Zone cmdlet on the SharePoint Server to change
the WOPI zone to match the result from Get-SPWOPIBinding.
If not work, you can try to disconnect SharePoint 2013 from Office Web Apps Server and re-configure Office Web Apps for SharePoint 2013.

i phones updated iso 8.01 all three phones will not connect to service provider and touch id
will not work APPLE HELP !!!!!!!!!
anyone know i fix as i have spent over 2000 pound on three phones that won't work
all three where working fine until the 8.01 updateApple just pulled the update because it is a major fubar! You will have to rollback your iPhone to the base iOS 8 using iTunes and Apple needs to seriously test its patches!
Update:
Simply connect your phone to iTunes and back up your data. Then, click the “Restore iPhone” button and follow the on-screen instructions. It’s a huge pain, but at least it’s better than having your shiny new iPhone turned into a big expensive iPod touch. -

adding contacts from oultlook and /or outlook express to my new 8900 is not working. i tried everything from removing and re-installing the desktop manager to removing the battery of the device. nothing seems to be working.
Ah, very helpful when we have the complete information.
Desktop Manager 4.7 is not compatible with Outlook 2000, so that won't work. You will need to use DM version 4.2, Service Pack 2; or upgrade your Outlook to 2003 or better.
For Express, it should work with Outlook Express 6. Check your advanced sync settings configuration and make sure you have it set to two-way sync and to notify you.
Desktop Manager 4.7:
The following organizers are supported for use with Intellisync:
IBM Lotus Notes 6, 6.5, 7, 8
Microsoft Outlook 2002, 2003, 2007
Microsoft Outlook Express 6, Microsoft Windows Contacts (Vista Address Book)

back up from icloud to new device is not working as it is saying that I dont have enough storage, when I am only trying to use 3GB out of my 5GB allowance???
I may misunderstand your post - you "backup TO icloud" or restore from icloud to a new device. Not sure which of these you mean.
If backing up TO icloud, the problem may be that there's not enough storage on your device, not icloud, as a device needs a good bit of storage to create the backup.
If restoring from icloud to a new device and you get the error, the storage referenced must be that on the device, although that doesn't seem possible, since a device has more memory than 5GB. -

New tab (+) is not working after upgrading forefox to v 23.0.1
I had firfox version 22 i guess...Now today morning, I upgraded it to v 23. It displayed a message that one of the plug-in is not compatible with it and so wud be disabled. now later on I again downloaded the plug in to check whether its working or not but neither it worked (as I had already guessed) nor its showing in the add-ons or plug-ins.
Now I am not getting why the new tab is not working. Not at all. Its so very annoying. I have googled the question and tried resetting firefox and new tab setting in about:config. But nothing helped.
I think its because of that plug-in as I read somewhere that settings may be getting overridden by one of the faulty add-ons.
Please help.Thanks
But the problem is still there when I run firefox in safe mode... -
New Itunes is not working because my imac is 10.6.8 need help ?
New Itunes is not working because my imac is 10.6.8 need help ....
Because you require Lion to run it. You should not have installed it.
Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
Lion System Requirements
1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
or Xeon processor
2. 2GB of memory
3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
4. 7GB of available space
5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase a redemption code at the Online Apple Store: OS X Mountain Lion. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. Use the code to redeem a download of Mountain Lion from the App Store. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later.
2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model
Identifier 5,1 or later.
3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later.
4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later.
5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later.
6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later.
7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later.
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
Upgrading to Yosemite
You can upgrade to Yosemite from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Yosemite can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
Upgrading to Yosemite
To upgrade to Yosemite you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Yosemite from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Yosemite is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

When I try to open a new tab using the "+" on the toolbar, nothing happens. Even trying to use the cntl t to open a new tab does not work. To open a new tab, I must right click on a hyperlink. how can I correct this? Using Firefox 3.6.18
The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
* Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
* Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons -
Why does right clinking on link and selecting open in new tab does not work?
Why does right clinking on link and selecting open in new tab does not work?
It opens up a blank page. The only way to make the link work is to click on the navigation bar in the new tab and press enter to reload the link.Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?<br/> ''A troubleshooting mode.''<br />
1.You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode by holding the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut. <br />
2. Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running. <br />
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut to open it again.''
If not, see this: <br />
