Custom Podcasts from mp3 show up individually

I download an Mp3 file, convert it to podcast and it shows up under my custom title (call it "PCTitle").  In Itunes all the files show up under the podcast title But, when I sync my ipod 4th gen touch, each podcast shows up individually under Podcasts...PCTitle (1 episode)  . Imagine I am subscribed to "the Nerdist" AND I have my custom podcasts.... it looks like this having entered Music (app)...more...Podcasts....
The Nerdist (10 episodes) - then I touch and see each episode and details
PCTitle (1 episode)
PCTitle (1 episode)
PCTitle (1 episode)
PCTitle (1 episode)
How do I get ALL the episodes under one title  e.g....
PCTitle (10 episodes)

Well, mine is set to manually update as well, but i have to go music> podcasts> video podcasts, I see them in this manner. But I do have a question for you, i signed up to 3 podcasts and 2 had come onto my ipod, but the 3rd wont, i'm doing the converting and double checking and there in the correct format- but it won't come onto my ipod. Any suggestions?

  • How do I create custom ringtones from mp3 files in itunes 11?

I've upgraded to the iPhone 5 from Blackberry, and I have several custom mp3 ringtones I would like to assign... and can't.  How do I do this in iTunes 11?

You would have sorted it out by now.
    Anyway,
    1. Go to EDIT =>REFFERENCE
    2. Under General, tick TONES, then you will be able to see TONES folder...
To create ring tone from mp3.
    1. Make sure your mp3 file playback duration is about 30 sec or less.
    2. Add it to your library as you do with music.
    3. Under MUSIC folder, select SONGS
    4. Find the mp3 file you want for ringtone, right click it and find CREATE AAC VERSION
    5. OPEN window explorer, browse to MY DOCUMENTS/MY MUSICS (XP) or Library/my music (Win 7), there should be iTunes folder in there, find the mp3 file... and change the file extension from [.m4a] into [.m4r]
    6. Back to iTunes, add [filename.m4r]
Now you should have rinetone under TONES folder in  your iTunes.

  • I downloaded an album from iTunes on my iPad and then i synced it with iTunes it doesn't show the individual songs in my library just the album which opens another window.  Can you help?

I downloaded an album from iTunes on my iPad and then i synced it with iTunes it doesn't show the individual songs in my library just the album which opens another window.  One of the albums won't even play the music.  Will only open the "booklet" for the cd but not the music.  Can you help?

    Hello dannugget
Normally, if the songs showed that it is purchased then it is probably already in your library. If not check out the article below to walk you through downloading your past purchases. You may also want to check to see if you have Automatic Downloads turned on so that way next time you can get your tracks without having to plug in and sync.

  • My podcasts do not show the pictures only the sound when I import them to iTunes from Garage Band.  How do I get the pictures to show up in iTunes?

My podcasts do not show the pictures only the sound when I import them to iTunes from Garage Band.  How do I get the pictures to show up in iTunes?

Well, all I can tell you is that if your file is an m4a with chapter markers, those markers having suitably sized images attached, and you drag it into the Music area of iTunes (so that it appears as a song) in List view, when you play it and then command-click on the small image in the header (next to the progress bar) you should see your embedded images.
If this isn't happening the best place to ask would be in the GarageBand forum: my own experience of GB is rather out of date and in any case I've never used it for podcasting.

  • Custom Metadata panel to show linked graphics from InDesign files?

    Hello all,
I'm looking to create a custom Metadata panel to show linked graphics from InDesign files. I'm not even sure if this is possible. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I figure if you can see the fonts used in an InDesign file, you should probably be able to pull the links, right?
Thanks for any and all help!

Have you tried trashing the prefs? See Replace Your Preferences
And of course it's essential that the links be up to date.

How do I remove podcast stations, not individual podcasts, from my iphone 5?

Contacts and calender you can put on icloud then sync to your new phone when its setup to the icloud account. Not sure so with emails.

  • Got a new PC and transferred everything to the new library.  HOwever, my podcasts don't show up.  Any idea how to get my podcasts from my iPad to my new iTunes library?  Thank you!

I got a new PC and set up my iTunes library.  Everything transferred from my iPad--music, apps, books.  HOwever, my podcasts did not.  Any idea how to transfer all of my podcasts from my Ipad to my new iTunes library?  Thank you very much. :-)

If the entire iTunes folder was copied from the old computer to the new computer, then it simply works.
You can also try unsubscribing from the podcast and then re-subscribing.
There is no option to transfer media from an iDevice to a computer.

  • Converting podcast from mp4 to mp3

How do i convert an mp4 podcast to mp3 so i can listen or see it on my mp3 player?

Hhmm! I'm not sure that's correct Roger. MP4 is (usually) a video Podcast, and the option to convert to AAC (which is audio only) will not be available. (I've just checked it.)
I'm not expert with all the variations of mp4 or other video formats, but the mp4 (Podcast) I have in my iTunes will play on my iPod Touch 2G. So the mp4 that the OP is referring to should load onto his/her iPod, assuming that he/she is using an iPod (mention of mp3 player). If it doesn't, there will be a message at Sync saying that the movie <name> has not been added to the iPod because it cannot be played on this iPod.
So, (to the original poster), was there a message about that Podcast? If not, it is probably on the iPod but under a different title to the one you think it should be. So rather than looking for the episode title, you need to check the "Podcast series" title. Alternatively, use the search facility on the iPod to look for the episode.
There is an option in iTunes to convert a video to an iPod version, look under *Advanced/Create iPod or iPhone version,* but it's a tedious process that doesn't always work.

  • Manually Transfer Podcasts - Don't Show Up in iPod "Podcast" Area

Here's the scenario. My wife and I each have iPod Shuffles for use at the gym, etc... We each have our own computer and different iTunes libraries. For our anniversary, I bought her (us) an 80gb w/video. The thought was that we'd share both of our music libraries here along with videos/podcasts for us to use when we traveled (separately or together).
I've found that the best/easiest way for us to manage the iPod's library is to set it up for manual management. This was after doing a lot of searching forums on managing between two computers... unless that's changed, then no worries there.
My wife took a trip a couple of months ago and downloaded some individual podcasts (not subscribing) into her computer, from iTunes, and transferred them into the 80gb iPod for watching on the plane. They're in the Podcast section as expected. I'm taking a trip in a week and downloaded some additional podcasts from iTunes, and also did not subscribe to them. I did a drag and drop into the 80gb, but I couldn't find them looking through iTunes and through the iPod itself - except through the recently added files folder.
The only place I can find them is in the "Recently Added" folder, but that won't last long. So now that I've "found" the podcasts, how do I get them libraried (is that a real word?) into my Podcast section of my iPod? They do reside in the Podcast section of the iTunes program. I have version 7.2.0.35 of iTunes if that matters.
    Thanks for any help.

I don't know if this will help, but I was experiencing the same problem. Searching the discussions didn't help other than to confirm that I was not alone. So, I started poking around.
    Background
I had been manually copying podcasts to iPod. Noticed this weekend new podcasts weren't showing up under podcasts, some did show up under music, and videos weren't showing up at all.
    My Solution:
selected iPod device. Selected Podcasts. Selected sync. (wasn't syncing before). choose a couple podcasts to sync. Clicked apply. podcasts synced. wiped out all my existing podcasts but the new ones showed up. Still no videos though. Chose Movies. chose sync. Got message something like "The iPod "<my iPod>" is synced with another iTunes Library. Do you want to erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library." I chose no (cancel), because I didn't want to wipe everything out without thinking about it.
Now Podcasts and videos show up on the iPod.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I delete songs & podcast from iPhone using iTunes on new MacBook Pro

I have recently bought a new MacBook Pro after years of using PC.
First thing I have to say is that I love it. I've had a couple of problems here-and-there but these have been teething issues which these discussion boards have mostly helped me resolve... I have been unable to resolve this one issue though which I was hoping that someone could help me with....
I have plugged my iPhone into my new Mac and let it appear in iTunes but when I attempt to delete old songs or podcasts from the iPhone it does not let me delete them... I've tried holding control and clicking on the items- hoping that delete would be an option, but it isn't. Also I've notice that delete is not one of my options in the edit tab at the top of iTunes.
I understand that I can delete individual podcasts and albums/songs through the iPhone itself by swiping right and selecting delete but when I do this for All individual episodes of a podcast then the main header for the "show" still remains...
Would love if someone could help me with this- need to be able to manage the songs and podcast on my iPhone.
    Thankyou for your time.

"Ok- but what if I want to manually manage the songs and podcasts on my iPhone and somehow loose access to the computer which I used to put said songs and podcasts on the iPhone in the first place?"
The you would ned to use the backup copy of tht computer to put everything on the new computer.
"  Is there a way in which I can manage/delete the content on the iPhone using my new computer without retoring it to factory settings and starting all over again?"
You do not have to restore it, but you cannot access the music at all from this other computer until you sync it, which will erase the content.
"And just to clarify: I don't have any problems with playing the content that remains on my iPhone, it's just the managing and deleting of this content."
    I understand completely.
You need to copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

  • Unable to manually add podcasts or TV shows

I am unable to manually add podcasts or TV shows to my 5.5G iPod. I have restored the iPod, thrown out the com.apple.ipod.plist, switched from sync to no sync, it makes no difference. I cannot drag Podcasts or TV shows from my iTunes list to my iPod in the device menu. It just won't accept them. The iTunes help document specifically says that I should be able to do this. They only way I can get podcasts or shows onto the iPod is to sync them, which doesn't let me put the specific episodes that I want on my iPod. I have my music set to sync, which is what I want. Is this a known bug? Any thoughts? I'm using iTunes 7.7. I have no problem dragging individual files to my iPhone.

They only way I can get podcasts or shows onto the iPod is to sync them, which doesn't let me put the specific episodes that I want on my iPod.
It does if you choose "selected podcasts" or "selected TV shows" in your preferences within the summary screen.
I have my music set to sync,
If you have chosen to auto sync your music, you cannot drag and drop other content such as Podcasts or TV shows to the iPod.

  • Podcast PDF's showing up on iPhone but not desktop iTunes

Our church publishes a podcast from Sermon Studio (studio.sermon.net). We include mp3 audio and a PDF with message notes. These PDFs show up in the Podcasts iPhone app but not in iTunes under subscribed podcasts. Any idea why?

Oh, I forgot to mention that music seems to automatically download just fine whenever I buy a song off of my iPhone.  Another thing is, the movies were all bought off of my iPhone.

  • Issues with custom podcasts

    Hello,
Recently I've tried to make custom podcast playlists.  I know how to convert music files into podcasts, adding them  to their own playlist by naming them the same album.  However, even though iTunes on my PC correctly states the podcasts playlists and episodes, my iPod touch wants to be different so groups them all together in the same playlist & is only displaying 7 of the 12 episodes (the 5 most recent aren't showing up) that my iTunes says are on my iPod.
These podcasts are also part of a music playlist I have synced on my iPod.  Removing it from the sync list does nothing.
    What can I do? Help?

And while we are on the subject of podcasts...
When you go to iPod and look at your list of podcasts there is a link to get more episodes.
When you click that it takes you to the iTunes store and lists the episodes. But its so dumb it will show you episodes that are sitting on the phone!! So you absent mindedly download the same episode again.
Why can't it at least check what you have on the phone and indicate those that are already on the phone like it does for Apps?
Oh, I know I'm supposed to go the pointless gesture of submitting feedback... sigh.

  • Cross Farm: User Profile Custom Properties do not show up in the consumer farm web applications

I have a two SharePoint 2010 farms, one is the publishing farm and user profile service is running on this farm. I have defined a couple of new custom properties, and after a while these custom properties do not show up at the consumer farm end.
So, on the publishing farm, I can udpate the user profiles with values in these custom properties. However, neither the custom properties nor the values got synchronized to the consumer farm. What puzzled me further is that some of the existing custom properties
exist on the consumer farm, but not the new custom properties I recently added.
    1. I have made sure the application pool accounts on both the farms being added to the administrators with full control permission in UPS on the publishing farm.
    2. The User Profile Service proxy (connected to the publishing farm UPS application)  is associated with all the web applications on the consumer farm.
    3. When values in the user profiles on the publishing farm changed, these changes do not get replicated to the consuming farm user profiles. This symptom occurs on both custom and OOB user profile properties.
However, I cannot find any other related information on the web, nor from the ULS logs.

    Hi,
As I understand, it did not display the new custom properties you defined in the publishing farm at the consumer farm end.
    1. Check if the topology Discovery Service Application runs well in consuming farm. In the Central Administration, it is the Application Discovery and load Balancer Service Application, check if it starts.
In the IIS, it is the topology, check if it starts.
    2. Check the permissions have been established if you have established consumer farm permissions on Provider Farm before you publish the service application.
        1. Go to Central Administration and going to “Manage Service Applications”.
        2. Click on “Application Discovery and Load Balancer Service Application” and click “Permissions” from the ribbon.
Your farm GUID should be listed with full permissions.

  • Can't delete podcasts from iPod Touch!!!  They still remain using space!!

Ok ok, look. I can make them not SHOW UP anymore, but they are STILL ON THE IPOD.
If I make a smart playlist where podcast=true and move it to the ipod, i can SEE they are still on the ipod!! But you cannot delete files from the smart playlist!!
I dont want to delete them from iTunes because I want to still have them archived on my computer.
If i deselect all podcasts from the sync menu, then sync, they are only removed from the podcasts display on the ipod... the actual files are still taking up space on the ipod
APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS. some of us WANT manual control of the files, not just sync this and that.
right now, my ONLY solution I can find is to restore the ipod, reload all my music i want to keep, reload my apps, etc etc.
ALL I WANT TO DO IS DELETE SOME PODCASTS!!!
    Does ANYONE have a workaround?!?!

just to say, you can delete items from itunes, and still have them stored on your computer, just click 'keep file' and it will be removed from itunes yet still be stored in the podcast file (or songs etc.)
i'm not sure whether this will solve your problem, and i haven't had much experience with smart playlists, so i'm not sure how to get them to do what you want, but I have some podcasts that i want to sync automatically, and others that i don't. last night i worked out how to do it.
    1. my ipod is set to sync manually
    2. under the podcasts tab, it is set to sync '10 least recent unplayed' (there are several different options to choose to your requirements) episodes of selected podcasts.
    3. in the podcasts boxes, the ones i want to sync are checked.
    4. these now sync to my ipod.
    5. but, because i am manually managing my songs etc. i can still drag and drop any others that i want to my ipod.
but i'm a bit confused. you are using smart playlists to transfer your podcasts to your ipod. as i say, i'm not too familiar with smart playlists, but is there a reason why you don't just drag and drop them to the ipod/sync them using just the podcast syncing feature?
