Custom Portal Business Card

Hi
How can I customize the Standard Business Card iView in portal?
I dont want the link thats displayed on the top of the iView, like create appointment, send email...
Is this possible?

Thanks for the link.
I have gone to Content Administration->Collaboration Content->Collaboration Launch Pad Administration->Command Group->User Details Group and removed the links which i don't require. I removed links for showing availability, instant messaging and create appointment. Well, i am not sure that it will suit my req as i have to restart the server which requires more admin processes. But, what my concern now is, the same features are available in the <b>context menu </b>of the user name. So now my question is, how to edit that context menu, in the sense to remove it completely or retaining only some features there. Looking forward for ur reply

    I found "Determine Fields for Business Card on Area Page" in customizing and added new field, but it doesn't show in ESS portal service.
    Does anyone have any advice what I need to do to make it work?

    Bizcards is only customizable via IMG as of EHP3
    Lower releases might require additonal steps/modifications
    For EHP3 you need to ensure you are using EHP3 software components and have EHP3 business
    function switched on (be careful though switching on this function is only reversal via restore to point in time
    before switching it on) - also check note 1159911 if you  have switched this one and/or see no fields
    Worth also trying the following
    Check V_T7XSSPERBIZFLD for existing fields and positions
    Add supplementary fields and position numbers to V_T7XSSPERBIZFLD
    OR
    Check V_T7XSSPERBIZFLD for existing fields and positions
    Overwrite required positions and fields in V_T7XSSPERBIZFLC

    You can also install a single sign-on certificate from here, save entering username and password each time.

    I was referring to one of your Blogs from February(SAP Cloud for Customer - February 2014 Release Highlights) and noticed that under User Experience - there is a Native Business Card Scanner for Mobile Solutions.
    Do you have any documentation related to this? Like how do we use this feature on iPad application today and what is the exact use.

    Enable the Business Card Scanner to Create Leads (optional)
    Buy the appropriate number of licenses for business card scans for your company from ABBYY at http://cloud.ocrsdk.com.
    Each business card scan counts as one A4 scan.
    As a result, ABBYY sends you the application name and password.
    Log on to your SAP solution as an administrator and choose  Administrator Mashup Web Services Business Card Scanner Service .
    Choose Enter API Keys.
    In the dialog box that appears, choose Show API Keys.
    Enter the application and password that you received from ABBYY.
    Save your entries.
    Back on the Web Mashup Services screen, select the Business Card Scanner Service and activate it.

  • Additional Fields for ESS-Business Card Not Working for Certain Countries

    Dear Experts,
    We were trying to configure the additional fields to be displayed in Business Card - Overview Screen for all countries. We don't have problem configure and get the new fields display for Malaysia (Molga = 14) but having problem for the field to display for Hong Kong (Molga = 27) and Singapore (Molga - 25).
    The strange thing is I am following the same steps as I configured for Malaysia. Somehow it is not working for Hong Kong and Singapore. As I understand, there is only 1 place to configure in SPRO for this requirement:
    Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service -> Service-Specific Settings -> Own Data -> Customizing of Personal Information Screens -> Determine Fields for Business Card on Overview Screen
    Please help!

    The note 1159911 provided is within SAPK-60304INEAHR. Thus, I don't think this is the root cause of this inconsistency base on the Highest Support Package installed in our system.
    Anymore hint? Anyone? Please...

    Installing WLP 10.3.2 for the first time, I saw this in the splash screen - "Portal Business Services simplify building custom portals by providing integrated services."
    What is "Portal Business Services" a reference to? Can you please point me to the specific package/class in WLP API through which such services are exposed?

    So I uploaded your par file on my server.
    Then I added the api and core jar files which came along with your par in my project as external jar files.
    I imported com.wickes.WickesService.*;
    Next, to use the service I coded:

  • Manager Business Card Modificaiton - Org Chart SP2

    Hi,
    When clicking on an org unit box and the details pane loads, I see the Manager business card. I believe it's in the SAPOrgUnitOrgChartType0MoreDetails (i can't tell really)...
    I'd like to remove two fields:
    -Telephone
    -Email
    And for Location, I'd like to rename the wording from "Location" to something else and change the data source to a custom field. Is this possible?

    In the Live build, then if you want to remove these 2 fields then comment them out these two fieldsets:

    As with all changes, copy these files to your .delta of your build.  Reload your build the Admin Console and publish to test.
    Location
    Go to:
    Admin Console -> Application-Wide Settings ->Caption Editor
    Search for u201CLocationu201D.
    Amend 3 entries and submit:
         Field_Location
         Field_LocationID
         SAPEmployeeDetailsDataElement_Field_Location
    Save.

    hi there
    my brother uses his mac as the main computer in his business, as a company he has a mailing list and customers constantly give him business cards, but the amount he gets he often doesn't have the time to spend inserting all the information into his customer contact book for future mailing lists.
    He asked me to find out what good hardware/software there might be that will work with a mac that will make it very easy for him to do this.
    Preferably a business card scanner via usb that he just pops in the business card and the information is added straight to the address book without any clicking through menu or anything else.

    thanks for the reply. I am sorry I forgot to mention I had already done some searches of the products you have mentioned and didn't find any good reviews of the porducts.
    I look at iris link and none of the products seemed to get a good review. I did however find a good option through dymo but the only problem is the price, with the right one for the mac starting at £200 or more.
    I already had checked out some apps for the iphone, but many rely on ocr technology which at times makes mistakes and if your try to scan business cards simply without having to do my re-editing, it isn't a good option.
    I found an app called 'card munch' that uses real human transcribers to transcribe the information and sends it back to you, but obviously it isn't instant.
    I have emailed these options to my brother and he is probably going to make a decision soon.
    I posted the discussion because I thought their might had been a apple own brand hardware that would let you scan business cards, surely the people at apple must have this problem too.
    Also might be possible is some ocr software that will work with a mac and a flatbed scanner.

    We have SAP R3 4.6C and SAP EP 6.0 (but not SAP CRM).
    Do you know which Business Package or solution we should implement ?

    Best you can do is to go through the SAP standard busniess packages first. Check out the content of available packages at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/contentportfolio
    And then you can evaluate which part of business package can be used where.. You can utlity multiple business packages to map your requirement completely.
    There might be some other views/info cource, which are not available, then you need to develop those iviews using PDK or Webdynpro studio.

  • When using the business cards template, how do you create one card then apply that card to the other nine cards on the page?

    I have customized the first business card on the page of 10 and now want to apply that to all of the cards on the page.

    Sounds like you didn't follow the link or Jerrold's suggestion of grouping the Business Card contents with the card box.
    The instructions are quite detailed and work if you follow them.
    It is nothing complicated, the BCards are just rectangles containing text and images.
    1. Group them so they don't separate.
    2. Copy them by one means or another into a grid for printing.

    To set up only one business card:
    +Menu > File > Page Setup… > Paper Size: > Manage Custom Sizes… > click little plus button > Give it a name > Page Size: ? x? eg 9 x 5.5cm > Printer Margins: > User defined > 0 0 0 0 > OK+
    Select this size as your *Page Size:*
    Copy a design from the templates or make your own template.

  • Enlarging a business card

    iwould like to enlarge a business card and print the enlarged copy. I have an Officejet 6310 All-in-One which has a button on the front that says Reduce/Enlarge but it does not work. When I use it and copy the result is still the business card size. What am I doing wrong? 

    When you select Enlarge/Reduce you will then need to select the actual reduce/enlarge options from the front panel.  Option will typically include "auto" which would fill the page, or "custom".  The auto setting may fail if there is a spot on the glass or lid that confuses the printer.  If you select "custom" you will need to additionally select the scaling factor, you would probably want 150% or more.
