Custom program - unknown warning messages after upgrade (4.6c to ECC 6.0)

Hi,
At work, we are currently upgrading from 4.6c to ECC 6.0
One of the custom (z) programs that was moved is displaying warning messages, and preventing the user from viewing a report.
The warnings appeared in ECC 6, but were never there in 4.6c. The warning message is "Restrict your selection". However, no matter how much criteria is entered, the warning message still appears.
The program code uses no messages or error handling, and the messages show up on the initial selection screen, after hitting execute.
However, just for testing, I copied the program to my own z program and it works fine.
Why is this happening with the original program? While creating a new program with copied code fixes the problem, I donu2019t understand why this would be happening in the 1st place.
Any ideas?

So what the zprogram does? what tables are involved in the report, if possible post a link to your code.
Regards
Karthik D

    Tarantella seems to work alright - is this something I should be concerned

    Thanks Bill - we are going to be upgrading to SGD 4.0 so I just wanted to be

    I am getting this error message after upgrading to iOS5: "iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPad "ray's iPad" because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined."
    I wiped it out and restored from backup but I am still getting the same message.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and that fixed it. Here are the specific instructions that I was given.
    ~~~
    Try the following steps:
    1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
    Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
    2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
    it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
    Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
    Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
    3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch
  • Apple Mail Search and Spotlight do not work for locating email messages after upgrading to Lion 10.8.3.
    Apple Mail Search and Spotlight do not work for locating email messages after upgrading to Lion 10.8.3 on my 27" iMac.
    When searching in Apple Mail, sometimes a get a few results (with many missing), and sometimes no results at all.
    I had absolutely no problems before with Snow Loepard.
    I have reindexed mail and my startup drive. I have followed discussions regarding this matter and tried everything - a waste of time.
    This is VERY serious for me - I have many thousands of messages that I archive and need to reference for work and clients, and now I cannot find them.
    I found out that I needed a $100 mini displayport to dual-link dvi adapter to make my $30" cinema display work with my macbook pro
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB571Z/A/mini-displayport-to-dual-link-dvi-ada pter?fnode=51
    When I found out that solved the problem, I took it back because that was too expensive for a stupid adapter, and it still didn't work perfectly.
  • Warning message after generating RMM Customizing Group
    Hi experts!<br>
    <br>
    I want to generate a customizing group in transaction sdoe_rmm01 in order to prepare the receiver generation. The generation process aborts with the following warning message: "201-Err:Metainfo FM MMW_RMM_METH_META_REG_SERVICE", Message no. RMM034.<br>
    Although it is only a warning message, the group is not getting generated. When I want to generate existing customizing groups, the same behaviour can be observed.<br><br>
    I have looked for more details regarding the warning message and it is number, but I was not successful. Has anybody an idea what the problem is?<br>
    <br>
    Thanks in advance and best regards,<br>
    <br>
    Christoph
    There can be only two possibilities:
    1. You did something wrong which you need to correct
    2. The DOE encountered a programmatic error while generating.
    No matter what the problem is, any sort of error/warning that stops generation should (atleast briefly) explain what the problem is. This one is not. So my opinion is: Raise an OSS message.
    Moreover, the fact that it is referring to a 'metainfo' sounds more like a programmatic error.
    Also: Search SAP Notes referring to a similiar message. Maybe its already fixed.
    Cheers!
  • Error message after Upgraded from 2.53ghz (533 FSB) to 3.2ghz (HT)
    Hi! everyone,
    As you can see i'm a newbie on this board, however I've frequently visited here once in a while.  Anyway, the problem I currently have after I upgraded my cpu from 2.53 ghz to 3.2ghz HT (Northwood) is that I not very often (few times so forth since monday) see this error message after reboot my pc :
    ***Message starts here***
    A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
    If this is the first time you've seen this stop error restart your computer.  If this message appears again, follow these step:
    Run system diagnostic utility supplied by your hardware manufacturer.  In particularly run a memory check and check for faulty or mismatched memory, try changing video adapters.
    Disable or remove any newly installed hardware or drivers....etc.
    Technical information
    ***STOP:  0x0000007F (0x00000008, 0xF7806d70, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
    ....................................... ........etc.....
    ****Message ends here****
    As i stated before I've never seen this message before the upgrade.  So, here is my configurations:
    BEFORE
    875P NEO-LSR w/ BIOS v. 2.0
    2.53ghz 512 FSB CPU
    9500 Readon 128mb video card
    Dual IDE HD 80gb & 160 gb (NON SATA)
    1gb Dual channel memory (512mb on channel 1  -  512mb on channel 3) (KINGSTON pc2700 module)
    CURRENT
    857P NEO-LSR w/BIOS v. 2.0
    3.2ghz 800 FSB 512mb (L2 cache) CPU
    9500 Readon 128mb video card
    Dual IDE HD 80gb & 160 gb (NON SATA)
    1gb Dual channel memory (512mb stick on channel 1 - 512mb stick on channel 3) (KINGSTON pc2700 module) *
    * may be this causes this error message because as I read it on the discription page of the 875P NEO-LSR that it will only support DUAL channel (PC3200 type) with HT CPU.  So, i suspect this may cause the problem but I havent try to rearrange my memory to one channel (1 x 2) yet.
    I will greatly appreciate it if someone in here who may has experienced it before or know what all this means.  Please advise
    Thanks for your advise bejon2000.
    Here is my situation, I just freshly installed Windows XP Pro w/SP2 prior to this cpu upgrade ...I did the os last weekend and upgraded the cpu the day or two after which is monday of this week.  So, can I just do the BIOS update now with the os already inplaced ???  I assum the aswer is yes, however I just wanted to confirm before I do it, you know
    Hello,
    We our client is facing an issue, regarding BOM change / Modification in CS02.
    After any modifications saved in the BOM (transaction CS02), in SLG1 transaction system gives u201Cwarning messageu201D as given below.
    1.     Entry already exists in the work list
    For components, system is giving following message.
    2. Item material PPA_FORM_NU001 (Material number) is not assigned to a specification
    We found one note for this u2013 u201Csapnote_0000893616_BOMBOS_Specification not foundu201D, this note is already applied in the program by SAP at 2005.
    Because of this note, program creates the message in SLG1.
    We also found that, in the IMG customization >>>
    Environment Health & Safety > Product Safety > Bill Of Material Transfer > Specify Environment parameter & condition for the parameter u201CBOMBOS_WL_DIALOGu201D parameter value is u201CXu201D. If we remove this value, then system gives error message in the SLG1.
    We want to know,
    1.     Why we have such entries in SLG1?
    2.     What is the goal of this standard BOMBOS interface?
    3.     What is the impact of this warning message in the process of the transaction?
    kjs wrote:I'm also having an issue after upgrading neither eth0 nor eth1 are showing up in /dev .... I think it's due to the switch from devfs to udev...
    for the record - network interfaces never show up in /dev - they're not normal devices
    edit: I guess I should provide some help...
    ifconfig and "ifconfig -a" will list network devices (also in /proc/net somewhere).  If you do not have a network device that means that your module is not properly loaded for that device.
    This should have nothing to do with a devfs/udev switch and everything to do with a kernel upgrade.
    Just for some more info, can you please report the output of:
    · lsmod
    · uname -r
    · ls /lib/modules
    · ifconfig -a
    iPhone 5S, iOS 8
    I am having this same issue. I live in Korea and changing the language to Korean made the messages searchable, but when I changed back to  English, the problem returned and I was unable to search all my messages via the search window in the messages app, but then, after about 5 minutes, the messages app crashed, and after that, the problem was resolved. Gotta sat that I'm so far unimpressed with ios 8; seemingly not ready for Primetime.
  • Problem in de-queuing xml messages after upgrade to 11g database
    We just upgraded from database 10g to 11g. After upgrade we are facing a problem in processing xml messages smaller than 4000 bytes. Messages larger than 4K bytes are handled correctly.
    We have Tibco IM/BW adaptors accessing Oracle AQ through JDBC Thin from other platforms than the DB is on.
    These clients connect to the database with an application user (XXIO) which belongs to the APPS schema.
    The client makes an enqueue to the queue-table XXIO_I00_I_JMS_Q_TABLE and in USER_DATA-part of the message the client specifies some header-information for the message with the actual data.
    The enqueue is made with JDBC Thin 11.1.0.7 and with the aqapi.jar/jmscommon.jar-files from the rdbms 11.1.0.7-installation, so the API towards the database is of the correct version.
    When the enqueue is done, the message has correctly been put into the table XXIO_I00_RT_I_JMS_Q_TABLE.
    Now to the problem,
    For example, we have a message that just has been put into the table, and it has a text_len of 3887.
    The text-part of the message is put in text_lob, not in text_vc.
    The problem now is that when the propagation starts
    (execute DBMS_AQADM.ENABLE_PROPAGATION_SCHEDULE(queue_name => 'XXIO.XXIO_I00_RT_I_JMS_Q'),
    the code for dequeue and move of the message, assumes that the text is in text_vc when text_len <= 4000 bytes.
    Since that's not the case, the message propably gets errored out, and is put in the errorqueue.
    The length of the messages that are put into text_lob vary from 2000 and up, so text_vc seems to be used only
    for messages below 2000 bytes now. This problem occurred when we upgraded the DB and client API to 11.1.0.7.
    Any pointer will be helpful.
    Thanks
