  • Custom Ranking model in SharePoint 2013

    Hi,
    I need to improve the search results in SharePoint 2013. Can any one help me with the below requirement?
    a. Improve rank for a sharepoint list. We have a list called profiles that contains users information. Right now, when searched using profile name, the results is displayed at the end. I need to promote it to the top.
    b. Improve rank for some sites. We have created some new sites and i need the results from that new sites to appear at the top of search results.
    Please suggest me some options. Thanks.

    Hi
    You can watch the Microsoft SharePoint conference video on "Optimize Search Relevance in SharePoint 2013"and there was demonstrate how to create new custom rank model using tuning tool Publish new model.
    Please go through this video...

  • Custom ranking model

    Good time,
    I'm a newbie in SP13. I have a task to create a custom ranking model to display employees. The first parameter of sorting is a surname, second is a firstname. For example, if we write " Bel* " we should to get: 1) Bell Smith 2) Bellington Richard
    3)Cooper Bellomy and so on.
    I found .xml file, when, as i understand, forming ranking model using weight of parameters (surname and firstname):
    <RankingModel2Stage name="Employee OneStage Linear Model"
            description=""
            id="825f23c2-f06f-49a0-8b9f-2d2d754bf459"
            xmlns="urn:Microsoft.Search.Ranking.Model.2NN">
      <RankingModel2NN id="f7c4bce6-7f55-4b79-97e8-cf79a795a12b"
            precalcEnabled="0">
        <HiddenNodes count="1">
          <Thresholds>
            <Threshold>0.000405176389917475</Threshold>
          </Thresholds>
          <Layer2Weights>
            <Weight>1</Weight>
          </Layer2Weights>
        </HiddenNodes>
        <RankingFeatures>
          <BM25Main name="ContentRank" k1="1">
            <Layer1Weights>
              <Weight>0.267001870579081</Weight>
            </Layer1Weights>
            <Properties>
              <Property name="RefinableString1" w="10" b="0.5"/>
              <Property name="RefinableString2" w="8" b="0.5" />
            </Properties>
          </BM25Main>
          </RankingFeatures>
      </RankingModel2NN>
    </RankingModel2Stage>"
    where Refinablestring1 and  Refinablestring2 are managed properties connected with surname and firstname from Users Profiles in Central Administration SP.
    Then i registered this model as in this article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607980.aspx
    Then created web part Search Box and Search Results. In Search Results went to Change Query and in Sorting chose "Sort by: Rank" and  my ranking model :"Employee OneStage Linear Model".
    But my employees haven't sorting, as i want.
    What the reason of this problem?
    Thank you for any reply.
    P.S. sorry for my English :)

  • Account assignment model for customer line items

    Hi all
    As per SAP, account assignment models can be used for creating the entries for GL accounts. I have a scenario which requires similar type of feature for Customer and vendor items also..
    Is it possible to create an account assignment model for Customer and vendor line items..with posting key 01..?
    Thanks and Regards
    Rakesh

    Hi,
    Account assignment model is created using transaction code FKMT. It does allow using posting key 01, however unlike in GL Account - Customer accounts will not be always same. Hence, normally used for GL postings.
    In case if you are going to use for the same Customer / Vendor Account you can try it using transaction code FKMT.
    Thanks

  • Records Management: Model for customer - project - records hierarchy

    Hello,
    starting with RM I just created a static structure for customer data. This works pretty well at the beginning level.
    Now I would like to add a hierarchy to the customer data. The next level in the structure should be projects with the project that are associated with the customer. The projects are managed with PS. So every time a PSP element is created on a special level will automatically create some model nodes with elements (offer, order, .. ). Under the level of the projects there should be records like offer, order, ..
    Could someone could give me some hints how to solve this, please? What is the best practice for something like that?
    Is this the right forum for this question?
    Thanks a lot,
    Vanessa

    Dear Vanessa,
    Unfortunately, we have not been able to get an exclusive forum for RM hence, a post anywhere with Records Management or Case Management will be good(I generally search for questions on these keywords).
    For your question - adding a new sub-structure to the same record or case everytime there is a project etc is created is technically not feasible. Even if you make this feasible by programming it will be very difficult to maintain. I would recommend to have an object(record or case) for every sub-structure that needs to be created with a separate record model for the sub-structure.
    For eg - if you need to create & add a new sub-project to a main project every time for an event, then instantiate an object(record/case) & then add it to the project record.
    Some points to consider - recommendation is to not to have more than 1000 objects linked to any one folder as after that time consumed to expand the folder becomes visibly high for the user.
    Hope this helps...
    Best Regards,
    Pragya

  • BADI to validate data input for custom data model.

    Hi,
    I have a custom data model which has Material as the key field. When the user enters the Material number and clicks on CONTINUE, he is taken to the second screen where he has to enter data and description of the change request (the standard familiar screen). Now when the user fills the data and submits the record I need to do data validation and throw an error accordingly, Can anyone please help me out with the BADI or a solution to achieve this result.
    Any kind of help would be sincerely appreciated.
    Regards,
    Tushar.

    Hello Tushar
    Path is - General Settings - Business Add-Ins- BADI - Define Validation / Enrichment - You can check all the relevant BADI's here. Click on display and then you have filter option. Add your data model in filter. This is useful for Finance. You have check for MM.

  • JTable: Custom Table Model (pII)

    As was explained in pI, I'm creating a custom table model to overcome a few pitfalls I came across using the DefaultTableModel class, such as aligning cells, and getting certain columns to return only numeric type data. However, I've come upon a few roadblocks myself.
    How do I create each of the following methods:
    insertRow(int ow, int column)
    remove row(int row)
    addRow(Object[] rowData)Assuming that I decide to allow the user to add a column to the table, how would I create the methodaddColumn(Object columnName, Object[] columnData)And also, as I'm creating a custom table model, would I need to replicate DefaultTableModel's methods that inform the listeners that a change has been made to the table?
    Thanks!

    Thanks!
    I just got this response. Anyways, I found another solution that was, interestingly, from one of your threads written in 2005.
    This is what I did:
    // Letting the JTable know what each column stores and should return by
       // overloading the getColumnClass() method
       public Class getColumnClass(int column)
            if(recordsTable.getColumnName(column) == "Ranking")
              return Integer.class;
         /* Why do I keep ketting an IllegalArgumentException here? *
           * It keeps saying it cannot format given object as a Number */
            else if(recordsTable.getColumnName(column) == "Price () ")
              return Float.class;
         else
           return getValueAt(0, column).getClass();
       }However, another problem has arisen.
    The if method for the int column (Ranking column) works okay, and is even right-aligned. The else if arguments for the Price () column however is returning an IllegalArgumentException. This I just cannot figure out.
    Here's the code:package Practice;
      import java.awt.BorderLayout;

    Hi,
    I have run into the same problem with SOA 11.1.1.5 version. In my case after fixing the following two errors it seems to work fine.
    If you have followed the guide, there must be some errors:
    First the java code if copied then contains an extra enter value:
    Instead of:
    "try {
    System.out.println("Prototype for invoking an OIM API from a SOA Composite");
    System.out.println("RTM Usecase: Self Registration Approval by Organization
    Administrator");"
    Use the following:
    "try {
    System.out.println("Prototype for invoking an OIM API from a SOA Composite");
    System.out.println("RTM Usecase: Self Registration Approval by Organization Administrator");"
    The other error is that you should not use <BEAHOME>/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jps_11.1.1/jps-manifest.jar, but the <BEAHOME>/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jps_11.1.1/jps-api.jar in jdeveloper. After these the deployment to the application server works fine for me.

  • How can we get the value of the key field in a custom data model using governance API?

    Dear Team,
    How can we get the value of the key field in a custom data model, to be used for manipulation of the change request fields using governance API?
    Any kind of help would be sincerely appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Tushar.

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for direction. Let me give more context on this as I'm interested to get more details..One of the issue was to read cross entity field values on UI based on user action and set other entity field behaviour...It is similar to what is being posted here.
    For ex: Reading MTART from Basic Data UIBB in MM MDG UI and set the field properties in some other custom entities say ZZETEST. This cannot be done using UI BADI as it only supports single entity at a time and not cross entity. So alternatively we found a solution where we can enhance existing PLMB feederclass cl_mdg_bs_mat_feeder_form by reading the model and the entity as needed as it it proved that it supports cross entity UI field behaviours and so business requirements.
    This is a workaround for now.
    So the question is How do we achive it using governance API for cross entity field behiaviours.?or what is the right way doing this.
    Can we do that using governance API and its' methods?
    In the Governance API doc you provided below has referring to below external model as part of gevernance API.
    The active or inactive data (before or during the derivation or the check) can be read
    with the external data model interface IF_USMD_MODEL_EXT with the method READ_CHAR_VALUE and
    the corresponding READ_MODE parameter. To avoid unnecessary flushes (derivations), the NO_FLUSH
    parameter should b
    e set to ‘X’.
    Thanks

  • Issue in creating a custom data model from BP

    Hi Team
    We have a requirement to create a custom data model by copying data model BP. I have successfully created new data model ZP . I have copied the UI for searching from BP. Issue is when i search a business partner  ideally it should not display any entries because i have just created the data model, But it is taking entries from BP and getting displayed. Please let me know how to map data model to search UI. I dont see option USMD_MODEL here

    Hi Imran,
    actually that is not an issue but a designed feature. I'm afraid that you need to re-think your whole project. The explanations is rather simple:
    Data model BP in MDG is a so called Re-Use Area data modell. This means that active data (records that are currently not stored in a change request) are saved in existing SAP ERP data base tables like BUT000 for the business partner master data and LFA1 or KNA1 for Vendor or Customer master data.
    If you copy data model BP to ZP you still refer to the same active area. You will always find the same active objects - no matter which data model you are actually using for the user interface. The only difference wil occur for objects being currently processed in a change request. In that case a separation between BP and ZP is possible. But this won't help to solve your issue.
    From SAP side I can only recommend not to copy BP but to find a different way of integrating your project needs into BP.
    Best regards
    Michael

  • JTable column headers not displaying using custom table model

    Hi,
    I'm attempting to use a custom table model (by extending AbstractTableModel) to display the contents of a data set in a JTable. The table is displaying the data itself correctly but there are no column headers appearing. I have overridden getColumnName of the table model to return the correct header and have tried playing with the ColumnModel for the table but have not been able to get the headers to display (at all).
    Any ideas?
    Cheers

  • IMPORT_FUNCTION in content model for Records management

    Hello!
    I customized my own content model for documents with my own attributes, it works fine, and everything is ok... but when i define property IMPORT_FUNCTION in DMWB for my content model, it has dump with error "DP_ERROR_GENERAL" when i'm trying to save the new created document...  Even if i set function without code for attribute IMPORT_FUNCTION, it still has dump... why?
    i need to get info about uploaded file, such as path and etc... i have found this information only in this function.
    Thanks for any help...

    Hi Luk,
    The linkage of module may be very critical. But if you have a requirement for attaching the documents like photo,certificates or other documents related to employee to records management then you can create a radio button to recodrs management screen with help of abap'r and directly attach these documents to respective records management screen.
    for linkage it may not feasible or much critical.
    Hope this will help.

  • Custom Error Messages for Database Constraint Violations Problem

    Hi
    I have added a custom message bundle for the model project as explained in
    37.8.3 in the Fusion Developer's Guide - How to customize error messages for database constraint violations.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/b31974/bcadvgen.htm#BABEFGCI
    Constraint Name : SYS_C0018574
    And I have following CustomErrorMessages class
    public class DBCustomErrorMessages extends ListResourceBundle {
        private static final Object[][] sMessageStrings =
            new String[][] { { "SYS_C0018574",
                               "Existing Record Found" } };
        protected Object[][] getContents() {
            return sMessageStrings;
    }This works fine when I run application model and adding records to vialate the constraint. So it gives me following message
    (oracle.jbo.DMLConstraintException) Existing Record FoundBut when run ui project it does not fire.
    Still it gives the message
    ORA-00001: unique constraint (CCBS2.SYS_C0018574) violatedCould you please shed some light?
