Custom repeat in Calendar.

Hello all,
Before this recent update for my iPhone and iPad when I would enter an event in calendar there was the option for doing a custom repeat. I would use that for meetings that are every 3 weeks. Now when doing a repeat it shows
Never
Every Day
Every Week
Every 2 Weeks
Every Month
Every Year
But for the life of me I cannot find the custom setting. I would appreciate greatly any help or advice that can be given.

Can I still do custom repeats in calendar?

I'm using OS7.0.4 on my iPad. In Calendar is no longer give me the option to create a custom repeat...the 3rd Thursday of the month, for example. Is the option no longer available with the new operating system?

the ability for custom repeats has always been rather limited within iOS. But if you make the appointment elsewhere and import it then the iPad will honor it. For example I can make the appointment in my outlook, e-mail that appointment to myself, open it in mail an save it and it'll repeat right on the calendar.

How do I create a Calendar custom repeat or custom alert other than the choices given?

I would like to create a custom repeat for my calendar such as every 6 weeks or, every other month or whatever choice - - the only choices are "Every Day, Every week, every 2 weeks, every month, every year"? I would also like to create a custom alert for 2 weeks before or 10 days, etc and there is no "custom" option???

Whenever you find out let me know. I wanted to assign a text tone to someone and now in iOS 7 i can't. Or I haven't figured this out yet.

Custom repeat option in the iPad calendar app

Why is there no custom repeat option (i.e. repeat an event every 1st Thursday, etc.) in the iPad calendar app?

There's a $0.99 app called Calendar Event Pro that adds all the custom repeat and alert functionality to iPad Calendar. It works with the native Calendar app so you don't have to have a separate calendar.

Unless something has changed, you can't. The iPad has limited ability to make repeats. However if you make the custom repeats in another program you can send them to or import them into your calendar and the iPad will respect the custom repeat.

Custom Repeat Entry on Calendar

Does anyone know why Apple removed the ability to customize a "Repeat Event" on your calendar? I remember when I had the 1st generation iPhone, I was able to set a custom Repeat Event then after so many system updates I noticed that they took this option out which I find very puzzling - that option was very important!

What exactly are you doing and how or when does it revert to weekly, mine seems to work OK.

BUG: Calendar, Custom Repeat (1st Sunday)

Go to June 7th.
Create a new event.
Go to event details.
Tap "no repeat", "custom"
Change custom repeat and "Monthly on 2nd Sunday" pops up. This should be "Monthly in first Sunday".

This seems to happen whenever trying to create an event on the first day of the month. It is consistently reproduceable.
Attempt to create a monthly repeating event on the first day of the month. So for example, Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009. When you try to make it a repeating event, you will be told the only option is to have it repeat 5th Sunday of each the month. It should say the 1st Sunday of each month.
This problem is simple and need to be fixed in the next update.
Try it. You'll see it's a programming error.

How can I create a custom repeat ("second Wednesday") in Calendar in calender

I have some repeating events (I believe transferred from previous phone) where the "repeat" line says "Custom" and the "every second Wed." (for example" carried over and plots correctly on the iPhone calender, but I don't see any way to CREATE a custom repeat like that. Is it possible?

There is not a selection for every second Wednesday, but you can repeat the event every two weeks as that is a choice. Hope this helps :)

Custom Repeat Broke

I teach a class 2 days a week. When I set up a custom repeat for M, W of each week, and look at a subsequent month. I see multiple versions of the event in month view on the first day of the month in subsequent months. If I try to print in month view, the events are dupicated "every" day.....

I changed all the parametes listed in the Info window and could not duplicate the behavior which you have observed.
Create another Calendar and add the event to that new calendar.

Crap... I don't know why I'd missed it... when you double click the event you get the window comes up...In little tiny gray letters first it reads
location
all-day
to
repeat
calendar
etc.....
click on that and get your options for repeating. Hope that helps.

How can I delete the custom repeat option in the reminders app

When I try to set a reminder to repeat every month the reminder app automatically sets a "custom repeat" of "every month that has 29 days in it". Where did this custom repeat option come from? I don't think I created it. How can I delete it?

I am using the native iOS reminders app. I have tried closing the app and powering my phone off and on, but to no avail. I was under the impression that one can set custom reminders using siri? I have friend with a toddler who was playing with my phone. I figured maybe she set off Siri and a custom reminder was set by mistake?

Customer Exit for Calendar Month based on the day (system Date)

Hello,
I need help in creating a customer exit for Calendar month without the user input. The logic is as follows:
For the BEx variable created with customer exit option and no user input:
If the day on the system date falls in between 1 to 14 take the calendar year/month value as previous month.
If the day on the system date falls in between 15 through 31 then take the calendar year/month as current month.
eg if report is run on March 24th2009 the calendar year/month variable should be calculated as 03/2009 (March 2009)
if the report is run on March 1st2009 the calendar year/month should be calculated as 02/2009 (Feb 2009).
The code should be effective when run in the first 15 days of Jan when the previous month would contain the previous year as well.

Custom Repeats in iCal on IPhone

On my iCal on my computer...I can customize how an events repeats. On my iCal on my iPhone...I do not see that option. Am I missing something? How can I create an event, on my iPhone, using a custom repeat?

So...on the iPhone, I canNOT set up an event with a custom repeat...? I see the list mentioned in the above reply, but on my computer, there is an additional option CUSTOM. With custom, I can set up an event to happen say every 3rd Tuesday. Can I do such a repeat on iPhone? If so, how?

What happened to custom dates in calendar?

There used to be a "custom" choice in calendar for 3rd Tuesday, etc. I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know whether it still works, or where it moved?

Make sure that your custom ringtones are NOT in your Music Library. They will not transfer or work if they are.
The should only be in the RingTones Folder.

Custom repeats on the ipod touch

I just got a new ipod touch and overall i love it. Just one glitch that I am finding. I would really like to use this in place of my PDA, but I can not figure out how to enter custom repeat events in my touch. The repeat options are only, daily, weakly, bi-weakly. If I want to enter an event that happens only on weekdays, or only on Mon, Wed, Fri, I have to enter it as daily in the touch and then edit it once I sync with my computer which is a huge hassle.
If anyone knows a work around, or if I am missing something I would greatly appreciate it.
