Custom report in bam 11g

is it possible to create custom report view?

No.
But, it will be interesting to know what kind of custom view you want to build. May be we could build such support in future releases.

Thanks in advance.....

  • Put User prompt for the associated report in BAM 11g

    I have a report zone wise distribution of total price where price>some user defined value.I implemented that using user promt at filter option.In my report there are 4 reports say report1,report2,report3,and report4 displaying at a time.Report2 needs that user defined value for the price to load.BUt in my case,before loading the entire report it is asking for that price value.I want to put the user defined prompt for price in the associated report.is it possible?Please suggest.

    You can achieve this by doing two things:
    1. Open you report in edit mode, select your View "A" (if this is the first view, it will be selected by default), click on "Change Report Properties" link on the left, this will open up Prompts and Parameters window. Click on your prompt and then click Edit. Click Next, Next and go to the third step where the values of prompts are listed. Click on any value and then click default (to make that value as your default) - an arrow will start to point to your default value. You could also select "All" and make it as your default value. Finish it.
    2. Click on Edit View and then for Data screen, go to "Surface Prompts" tab and choose for your prompt option Display in as "View title".
    Save and open the report. Now, it won't ask you to input any value before loading any of the views. By default, "All" (or the default you set) will be used to load View A and through drop down of values, you can change to filter the data in just this view.

    Report should be based on tables in repository database. Mostly sysman tables we will be using for reporting. If you need other database tables then you need to create dblink to those targets in sysman schemas. To my knowledge that's the only way you can refer to other db tables in reports.

  • BAM 11g - creating new report - More options not active

    I am creating new reports in BAM 11g. 11.1.1.3.0 Build 8553
    I can select the Data Object and Data Fields, but.... When I select any of the More options.... such as Create a filter or Create a calculated fied etc... I get the View Prompts screen and I cannot get out of it.
    The Properties object works, but as soon as I go back to the Data Objects - I am on the View prompts screen with several unlabelled tabs... and I can only OK, Cancel or Save.
    If I re-edit the reprt - I go straight to this View Prompts Screen... and can do nothing on the data objects.
    Rebooting makes no difference....
    Has anyone else seen this.
    I am using JDK 1.6.0_14... which i picked up from a post in the forum.... but this has made no difference.
    Thanks
    Cliff

    There must have been a typo or something when I reset the Java version.... re applying the copy of JDK 1.6.0_14 and restarting, Fixed the problem.

  • OBIEE 11G and Custom Reports

    I went to a presentation the other day on the new 11G. One of the things they said was that if you have custom reports and custom subject areas, you will have to recreate them after you upgrade. The upgrade is supposed to wipe them out. I'm hoping I misunderstood.
    We keep all of our custom reports and dashboards in a folder in the catalog seperate from the out of the box dashboards.
    We have created new subject areas with our own naming standard seperate from the out of the box subject areas.
    When we upgrade, am I really going to lose all of the work we have already done? Will my dashboards go away? Will my reports disappear? Can I import them back somehow?
    Panic'd in KC,
    B

    Hi,
    But I'm still not sure if my custom reports are going to be upgraded too or if they will get deleted.Reports will not get deleted but some reports may not work properly....Lot of testing is to be done....
    From the blog....
    We cannot expect all the reports to start working out of the box immediately after an upgrade. Good amount of testing is required to make sure all the older queries of the most commonly used reports are working without any major issues. Also, not all the reports would get migrated seamlessly due to the significant changes across the versions which the utility cannot recognize.

  • Oracle BAM 11g report to view WorkItems

    Hi,
    I have a requirement wherein we need a report displaying WorkItems summary.
    The scenario is as follows:
    SCNERIO: There's a BPM process in which human tasks are created for different types of approvals. Once a workitem is created corresponding to a human task and assigned to the corresponding user, need to display that in BAM report. Also, the BAM report should have the provision of searching and displaying the workItems based on Assigned User/Title of WorkItem etc. The report will have two panels,one having the dropdowns with various search criteria and a Search button. Once a search criteria is chosen and Search button is clicked, the details of the workItem should be displayed in the other panel.
    Questions:
    1. Is this possible using BAM 11g?
    2. If yes, how and which report type to use?
    3. If No, what could be the alternative way of implementing?
    Any inputs would be really helpful,thanks.

    have u gotta any solution for that ?

  • Custom Reports Server Issue (upgrading 10g to Weblogic 11g)

    I am having an issue with "Anonymous' user showing up when I go into the console of the Weblogic server to see all the report requests. In 10g (which we are upgrading from), I have report requests that I do a Preview from within Oracle Forms. When I do the RUN_REPORT_OBJECT/SHOW.WEB_DOCUMENT, it captures the User account and put it in the console with that username. On 11.1.1.4, using same form/report, it doesn't capture the username. If I call the reports server from the database, it does work fine.
    Anyone have any ideas if there's something I have to do in Oracle Forms to put that username in or if it's a setting on the Custom Reports Server that i need to set so that it captures the name from the Oracle Forms session.

    Hi A. Drieux,
    Thanks for the reply. i have some questions on ODI.
    Now we are using hyperion 11.1.1.3 with ODI 10.1.3. We are upgrading hyperion version 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2.
    Is it possible, to use the same ODI 10.1.3 version to upgrade version(hyperion 11.1.2.2) also?
    Reply would be appreciated.

  • Content Tracker Reports Query file modification issue - Custom Report

    Hi All,
    I was trying to generate a custom report using Content Tracker. I was successful in doing so. However, I found that sometimes it does not pick up the updated query file of Content Tracker reports.
    I made a change in my query:
    from SELECT * FROM Users to
    SELECT dname FROM Users
    the change is written on the file but when i generated the report from C.T. UI, it's still showing me the old results having all the columns. Tried bouncing the server as well, but no use.
    I also added a new query 24 hrs back (as SELECT count(*) As UsersNum FROM Users), it's still not recognizing it and giving error as Failure of server APACHE bridge: No backend server available for
    connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF;
    and the log says,
    Unable to execute service SCT_GET_DOCUMENT_INFO_ADMIN and function sctExecuteQuery.
    Unable to create the result set for query '(null)'. SQL statement to execute cannot be empty or null
    What could be the resolution of this issue?
    I am using UCM 11g + SSXA.

    Server bounce.
    Issue is not file update but some other issue, ongoing in another thread by Me.

  • Oracle BAM 11g - Deployments and development questions

    Hi!
    I have few questions related to Oracle BAM 11g developement and deployment processes. We are going to use that together with Oracle SOA Suite 11g ( BPEL / BPM processes), and now my questions are related to development phase:
    1. If we have two or more Oracle BAM developers with their own Oracle BAM server instances, and we would like to share our development work, should/can we you same database repository to share the reports, data objects?
    2. How we can copy Oracle BAM Data Objects, Reports etc from one environment (dev) to other environments (test, accept test, integration test, production) ? In software deployment projects (like Spring or Grails web-projects) we have used version control system and CI to build packages to different environments etc. How is the Oracle BAM deployment process actually "planned to be" since it uses its database repository to store objects and reports ?
    3. The Oracle BAM itself has nice reports etc (Oracle BAM Client) that can be used using IE browser. How if we have to show/include those reports from Oracle WebCenter Spaces ? Is it possible and how?

    Hi,
    Were you able to find the answer to your questions? Especially the one, showing BAM reports in Webcenter Spaces?

    Hi
    Refer the following link for enabling the reports:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14308/system_props.htm#OMADM884
    Searhc for 'Enable exception reports'
    Sample query:
    Note taht OIM OOTB reports already contains a report for Orphaned account. You can check that too.
    SELECT * FROM recon_exceptions HERE usr_key IS NULL

  • External reporting tool (Cognos) to produce customized reports from BPM 5.7

    Can I use external reporting tool (Cognos) to produce customized reports from BPM 5.7? Is it possible to query BPM DB for historical data (not BAM dashboard)?

    Hi Steve,
    From memory, I think you can just use ContactCallDetail and Resource. Just look for calls where originatorType = 1 (for agent) and originatorID = resourceID of the agent. So your where clause would look something like:
    WHERE
    originatorType = 1 AND
    originatorID = resourceID of the agent AND
    LEN(destinationDN) > 7
    Hope that helps.
    Cheers,
    Nathan

  • Log of customized reports

    hi all,
    how to check log of customized reports???
    thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Siya

    After reading the 'hints' page, I've decided to re-phrase my question...
    I have done my best looking through the threads on the forum, Tim's blog and the Oracle documentation but can not seem to find a decent way to log or audit each report run by a user. Ideally we would like to be able to report or audit a users activity on the system... Information we would like in our audit log is date/time, username, ipaddress/session and a description containing context information such as what report was run and if possible parameters passed in, etc.
    We are currently using oracle database 11g, and BI Publisher release 10.1.3.4.
    We are not scared of some work, just could really use a good place to start. Could someone please point us in the right direction.
    Thanks again for all of your help. Cheers,
    Cory

  • Custom reports issue

    Hello,
    Grid Controle 11.1.0.1 on 11.2.0.1 database
    OS: SLES10 64 bit
    There are Standard Reports in Oracle Grid Control, not only in Grid 10g , also in my 11g version.
    For example the report:
    Availabilty History (Group)
    shows nice icons for 'Up' and 'Down'. If you examine how this element is being created, it is a Table from SQL. The icon column is a value: 1, 2, 3, etc. There is NO obvious way i see that this value is translated into the icon.
    If we copy the sql statement into a custom report, we don't see icons, but the values. Some way the value should be translated into the icon. HOW?
    If we 'create like' the report into a custom report, the icons are shown!
    If I add elements from different out-of-the-box reports to my custom report, the icons are lost.
    How to fix this?

    Hello,
    well, your question is a very good one!
    I did myself the following test:
    "create like" a new report of my own from the "Availability History (Group)" report.
    Then, in this new report, I have deleted all but the "Member Summary" section, where icons are displayed instead of values.
    To conclude, I have exported this report in the XML format: emcli export_report -title="Availability History 2" -owner="******" -output_file="/tmp/Availability History 2.xml"
    the delete from the Grid and reimport it: emcli import_report -title="Availability History 2" -owner="******" -files="/tmp/Availability History 2.xml"
    I have checked that the icons are still displayed in the imported report, thus the XML file contains everything that is required.
    Here is the file content:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <ReportDefinition title="Availability History 2" description="EMR_Availability_Reports_Member_Desc" system_report="0" category="IPMSG_MONITORING_CATEGORY" sub_category="IPMSG_BPEL_REPORTS_SUBCATEGORY" show_navigation="1" generate_context="0" add_toc="0" product_name="EM" is_jit_multi_target="0" target_type="composite" is_jit_target="1" style="BLAF" oms_version="10.2.0.5.0" xmlns="http://www.oracle.com/DataCenter/ReportDefinition">
    <ReportWideParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.TimePeriodParam" parameterValue="0:0"/>
    <ReportWideParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.TimePeriodOption" parameterValue="true"/>
    <ReportWideParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.TimePeriodUserCust" parameterValue="true"/>
    <ReportElement element_row="3" suppress_render="0" element_name_nlsid="IPMSG_USER_TABLE_FROM_SQL" header_nlsid="EMR_Member_Summary" element_type_nlsid="IPMSG_ANY_TARGET_TYPE" element_order="0">
    <ReportElementParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.TableRender.numRowsToShow" parameterValue="10"/>
    <ReportElementParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.TableRender.resourceBundle" parameterValue="oracle.sysman.resources.eml.ip.OOTBResourceBundle"/>
    <ReportElementParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.TableRender.initialSortColumn" parameterValue="1"/>
    <ReportElementParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.sqlStatementIsPlSql" parameterValue="false"/>
    <ReportElementParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.TableRender.availabilityStatusColumn" parameterValue="2"/>
    <ReportElementParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.TableRender.initialSortOrder" parameterValue="ascending"/>
    <ReportElementParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.sqlStatement" parameterValue="SELECT C.target_name TARGET_ID, C.type_display_name TYPE_ID
    ,DECODE (A.availability_status,'Target Down','0','Target Up','1','Metric Error','2',
    'Agent Down','3','Unreachable','4','Blackout','5','Pending/Unknown','6','n/a') STATUS_ID
    FROM mgmt$availability_current A, mgmt$target_flat_members B, mgmt$target C
    WHERE B.aggregate_target_guid = ??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID??
    and A.target_guid(+) = B.member_target_guid
    and B.member_target_guid = c.target_guid
    ORDER BY C.type_display_name,C.target_name"/>
    </ReportElement>
    </ReportDefinition>
    In my opinion, what is important is the line:
    <ReportElementParameters parameterName="oracle.sysman.eml.ip.render.elem.TableRender.*availabilityStatusColumn*" parameterValue="2"/>
    which is documented here => http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/em.102/b16246/info_pub.htm
    I have no solution for you to specify this in the GUI, BUT, you are still able to design your report using the GUI (and thus display values instead of icons) and when your report is completed, you export the report, insert the line above and reimport the report.
    I hope this helps.
