can anyone suggest the best rom for xperia p that provides good battery life and smooth interface.and can i unroot and go back to stock rom when desired ?

[Q] Xperia ray rooting, installing custom ROM procedure

Hey! Guys,
I wanted to know what are the steps to follow in-order to install a custom ROM on my xperia ray. I've read few tutorial but still I've got some questions to clarify. Just tell me whether below steps are correct.
First root the device
Unlock the boot loader
Flash a custom ROM
And if I'm installing a custom ROM on to my device I want to achieve below point too.
Want a complete back up with SMS/MMS, Apps ..etc (can be acheived via some back-up apps)
Want to take a complete copy of my current stock firmware (as a ftf file), may move back to stock
Any else, that I should follow which I missed here ...
I'm still curious about this.. Please advise me if I missed anything here since I'm a newbie when it comes to android rooting, flashing stuffs..

quite simple, run SUS or PCC and try to update your phone if it say modified software then you know its unlocked

Best looking rom out of this world for xperia z c6603

Hi all
Does anybody know what full working custom roms are out there for the Xperia z c6603 that are out of this world and look great and improve much better than the stock rom .

I like the Honami design theme, with minimal modifications so my prefered choice of ROMs would be the ,

However if you intend to unlock you bootloader, then you wil have a wider options like,

I did try a lot of different ROMS intially on the Z and alot more on the S. But I realised that while it's fun to try out different roms, not every little functions will work. And since then, I've prefered stock based custom ROMs. As a designer, I find the stock UI to be very uniform and pleasing. Although I still feels tthat they're using too much black.

I installed Adobe Touch for Phone on my N7000, and whenever I start it all text (buttons, menu bar, etc) does not show properly: Only small white dots and dahses are visible. Anyone else have this problem and found a solution??

Sony Flashtool for Xperia J

When will the Xperia J be included on the Sony Flashtool. It seems strange that higher spec phones are supported but not the lower end phones.
People with lower spec phone are more likely to want custom ROMs more than those with the higher spec phone.

How to use clockwordmode on st15i to install custom ROm like CM10 JB?

I have rooted my phone alreasy and its on stock ROM & kernel. Now I want to use CM10 JB for ny device for that I should have to use clockword but it doesn't support my device. While the threadd for installing the JB is telling that I have to install it for to be ble to use the JB. But I have downloaded the adb shell for CWM and install it on device through laptop and then downloaded the ROM manger form the play store, Rom manger is finding the CWM but it says that it soen't support my device. I can't backup current kernel and ROM. I just want to know how can I use it on my device to use custom ROM. Also if any one can (specially moderator @nabeel) upload the custom ROM to 4shared.com I'll highly thankful to you all.

Hello guys, I have so many problems with my internal memory and which is driving me nuts, always out of space and cannot update any app, so I want to root and to use my sd card as my internal memory ( using link2sd from the play store) fist of all is there any other methods to make my sd card as my internal memory? Secondly can you give me full pros and cons of rooting. And also please can I root my live with walkman on ics .587 directly without reverting to .62 and then upgrading again to 4.0.4 .587 by flashtool ??? And if not if i reverted to the gingerbread .62 can i upgrade again to official .587 ICs by flashtool ? And can I root just with the stock rom without changing it ( as i do not want to use any custom rom , i love sony's rom! and i do not like any unstable thing! is it possible and will it behave well with root access). And please can you give me full procedures for rooting?? And also please can I unroot a rooted phone?? Thanks so much dear in the advance! By the way my bootloader is locked do you recommned unlocking it for better usage and capabilities, I have a great knowledge in ANdroid but I always just like to ask some professionals in Sony devices not only Android in general

And yes there is no kernel for xperiamini/ lww, but we use other kernels that help to root our phone
While running the rooting toolkit, your phone should be on. Don't remove and reinsert battery at that step.
It's only when you need to flash your phone using flashtool

K1 custom ROMs Broken Apps (Sygic)

I have flashed my K1 twice; first with the "official" ICS released by Mark Lenovo later with the JB AOSP provided by khanning. I still haven't reinstalled everything I had under the original Honeycomb so I don't know if anything else is broken but one app which definitely is is the GPS program Sygic. I received a reply from their tech support stating that they don't support custom ROMS so having paid for the full version of the app I'm a little disappointed as I was quite impressed by Sygic under HC.
Question I am now facing is whether to try to search for a "fix" for this problem. I would prefer a solution that would let me continue to enjoy JellyBean however, I might consider rolling back to ICS the official download from Lenovo if I were confident that Sygic would work with that ROM.
Has anyone had any positive experience with this app under ICS or JB?

Self installing Apps.... At Lenovo S90u custom ROM

Hey guys...
I can tell that Lenovo mobile topics are not a "hot topic" yet inn this forum... But I hope that will change...
I was thinking if anyone could help me on my latest issue...
I installed the custom rom which I got from "NEEDROM" and the version I installed on my Lenovo sisly S90 is the following
ROM: ROM 2 – VIBEUI_V2.0_1504_5.14.1_ST_S90-u
Since than every freaking morning when I wake up and I change my settings from Airplane mode back to normal I get the following installation hint... The apps, trying to install are called:
- Hot Girls
- Caller ID
- 2048
- Flashlight
My anti-virus is not flagging anything either.... And I just have no idea where this stuff originates from.
If anybody could help me on that issue would be fantastic.

Had loaded s130 scatter and unable to get to Rooting Menu (blue font), it just flashes for 1/2 second and blackout itself. tried repeatedly but to no avail. thereafter found a s139 image and it worked.
before rooting, if you check the version on your A820, mine read as S130 and was worried might brick device.
must have tried 20 times before gunning the s139 download. all working now.

Well, you should ask in the relevant hacker/ modding forums. The whole point of using custom ROMs is to evade the signature checks for apps and that's what's biting you in your behind here. There may be a way by manually placing a key or changing the underlying .conf files, but that has nothing to do with Adobe.

The best thing you can do is to check the XDA forum or the website where you got the Custom ROM from
