My understanding is that you created a GUI status in your program and now you would like to add some of the toolbar options to your Menu bar.
If that is correct then open your program in transaction SE80 and select your status. It consists of 3 things: Menu bar, Application toolbar and Function keys. Open up the Menu bar and select the menu and position where you want to add the extra option. Now, enter the function code and press Enter. Activate your screen and test it. Your new option should be available on the menu.

Identifying changes in the custom screen added to Delivery

Hello,
I have added a custom screen in delivery transaction(VL02n) at header level. I used BADI LE_SHP_TAB_CUST_HEAD to do that. Now if user comes and enters some data on the custom screen, then goes to menu option Subsequent processing-->Create Transfer Order, user is not prompted with a pop up screen to save changes.
It happens with SAP Standard screens for any data changes. How do we achieve the same functionality to prompt a popup message for any changes in the custom screen and save the data?

Hi Appana,
Yes, we can identify any screen changes from sy-datar. It is set when I make any changes in the custom screen also. But I dont want to give a pop up every time I leave the custom screen. I want to give raise a pop up for saving the delivery document just like any other SAP screen (For eg. SAP Screens do not give a pop up when we move from one screen to another screen, but it gives a pop up if we try to do a subsequent functions like picking without saving the changes in delivery).

Custom screen in a menu exit

Hi,
Can we call a custom screen from a menu exit? When the menu is clicked, a custom screen should pop up . There should be a option for going back to the old screen from this custome screen.
I have seen screen exits where u can develope custome screens but not sure whether meny exists or function exits will allow u to call custome screen.

Customer Support options under Menu on MRDVR

Under Customer Support, there I a menu for Top Support Tools. Under that, there is "Fix FIOS TV Issues" which says it will reset the STB. There is also "Auto-fix for MRDVR". What is the difference?

Makes sense. Then what is the difference between "Fix FIOS TV Issues" and "Auto-correct STB/DVR". Since they are separate items under Customer Support, I assume they do something different.

I made a custom screen and a menu (status ) for that using menu painter. I want to put a button there for printing the screen. What code i have to write for that print button so when user presses print button, it prints the screen????

Do you know any other exisiting standard screen which function like same as in your customer screen.
if yes, note that screen program name and screen no and then in your module program:
go to PBO
write command as set pf-status 'XXXX'. " ur pf status
double click on 'XXXX'
go to utilities --- adjust templeate
Give that screen program name and screen no
if u dont want redundant codes then. deactviate /delete it...
Then activate all...
then check now ... ur all of fuction buttons are working!!!

Hi Vinay,
go to transaction SE18, then enter your BADI.The in menu go to Goto -> Sample Code -> Display. You will see example of implementation of this BADI. All these examples are very well commented. Basically you will have to create your own function group with your new screen and call this screen from methods of BADI.

Process chain status message in the custom screen.

HI All,
We have created a custom screen for hierarchy upload in BW once the file has been uploaded it will trigger an event which is triggering a process chain. The process happen like
Upload the file from desktop it will go and sit in al11 folder
Trigger an event which will trigger the process chain
Infopackge routine has been written which will download the file for al11.Please find the attached screenshot is for your reference.
Once the DTP has been completed we need to trigger a message which will tell us the status of the DTP like finished successfully or not. This message should have to show in the custom screen which we have provided to the customer.
We are aware of mail recipient list option. Please suggest further options

FULL SCREEN MODE option

Hi,
I think what they are trying to say is similar to the problem I am having. I have inserted a SWF file by going to insert>animation.. What I am trying to do is have the playbar in the SWF file appear so that there would be a total of two playbars... one with the SWF file animation, and the other that controls the entire captivate file.
Unfortunately Captivate does not give the "FULL SCREEN" option, so ultimately I have created a SWF file that has the FULL SCREEN MODE option. I am trying to get this playbar to appear
Please let me know if anyone has found a solution to this problem or if I need to further elaborate on my issue.

Creating a custom screen saver that won't blow a small image

Hello All...
At work, my boss is trying to get me to create a custom screen saver with our business logo to display when activated. I'm usually pretty comfortable with these kinds of tasks, but for this one I'm at a loss.
I've have my logo in a designated folder and when I'm under Screen Saver in System Preferences, I have that folder selected and then would like the image to repeat itself, but basically jump around the screen (sort of like "gasp" the Windows XP default screen saver). My problem is that no matter what the size of my logo is, it is fitted automatically to the size of the monitor, even if it is a rather small logo. Therefore, 1) it is very pixelated and 2.) it defeats the purpose of the screen saver because it can't jump around.
I've turned off the option "Crop slides to fill screen" thinking that would work, but it hasn't. We're running OS 10.5.8 on 24" iMacs from early/mid 2009. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's not heavy handed. this is the only thing that makes sense here and I was going to suggest that too. just make an image of appropriate size. that's not hard.
In fact, using Photoshop or Gimp you could make several layers, each with a different colour background, move the logo around on each layer, save each layer as a separate image and then play with them. Do a slideshow with transitions etc.
BTW, where did the quartz composer go? It used to be included in the previous versions of OSX.
Quartz composer would let you create "proper" screen savers.

In Executable program displaying results in custom screen.

I have a executable program, when the program display's the out put of this program I need to display output in custom screen (like screen 100) instead of displaying in default List screen.

To call Screens use any of the following commands

Calls the screen scr; scr is thenumber of a screen of the main program. You use SET SCREEN 0. orLEAVE SCREEN. to define thereturn from the CALL screen.

Issue In Providing 255 Charcters From The Selection Screen Select-Option

Dear Guru,
I am searching for table field with having length = 255 character.
which i want to use in select-option for proving data from the selection screen.
I have found the table myhlp and it associated field allvals which is having length = 255.
I am using it as below in my selection screen for the value to be provided 255 character long.
SELECTION-SCREEN : BEGIN OF BLOCK b3 WITH FRAME TITLE text-003.
SELECT-OPTIONS   : s_mlbody FOR myhlp-allvals NO INTERVALS.
SELECTION-SCREEN : END OF BLOCK b3.
Now when i am going for the multiple selection option --> It is providing me the Multiple selection popup and giving me the provision of provide multiple line .
But the issue is that --> For a particular single value line in the popup i am able to enter only 45 charcters not 255 character.
But i need to put 255 charcter for particular line in a single value..
Please give me some guideline how resolve this or any other alternative way of reading the 255 charcter from the selection screen

I'm trying to confirm my thoughts/assumptions on the development of custom screens. We are installing the various pieces of NW04s and expect the majority of our users to access ECC transactions through the SAP Portal (using Web GUI for HTML). Also, we will have a significant number of custom screen requirements; some may be enhancements to existing SAP delivered screens; others may be new screen development.
What is SAP's latest recommendation for custom screen development?
More specifically, what are various options and their advantages and disadvantages?
For example:
**Web Dynpro for Java
+ easy Portal integration
- requires NW Dev Studio/Infrastructure
**Web Dynpro for Java
+ Development tools within Workbench
- more difficult to integrate in the Portal
**Z transaction development with Screen Painter
**HTML/JavaScript or similar
etc....

For me , I have only two choices
1. Web Dynpro for Java
Great front end IDE to work with, only issue could be the performance issue, while Java is trying to communicate with SAP ECC.
2. Web Dynpro for ABAP
Relatively new, however a good tool to work with. Performance improvement compared to Java Web Dynpro.
I don't think you should have a concern of integrating this with Portal, as you have a separate iView for ABA Web Dynpro. The screen can be developed on the SAP ECC and then can be called from the Portal screen.
You still have other options like developing normal dynpro - but that will not give a look and feel of the web interface. BSP / PCUI are the other choices but given the roadmap of SAP for UI, I would stick to Web Dynpro for ABAP / Java.

I am giving you a part of a document.
Hope it helps.
Screen exits are exits that allow you to use a reserved part of the screen (A subscreen) to display or input data.
It is determined be SAP where the sub screen will be displayed.
The syntax is: CALL CUSTOMER-SUBSCREEN
The screen exit is not processed untill the corresponding subscreen has been created in an enhancement project, and the project has been activated.
Note:
Function codes are only processed in the main screens flow logic
 You are not allowed to enter a name for the subscreens command field
 You are not allowed to define GUI stauses
 You are not allowed to enter a value for Next screen
 The global data of the program is not available for the subscreen. Data for the subscreen is provided by function modules. These function modules belongs to the same function group as the subscreen
 Subscreens are edited with transaction CMOD. When you activate a project containg subscreens, the calling screen is regenerated and the subscreen is displayed next time you display the calling screen
 The developer must create the subscreen and the corresponding PBO and PAI modules
How to identify screen exits
Look after CALL CUSTOMER-SUBSCREEN in the screenprogram of the screen you want to modify.
 Use transaction CMOD menu Utillities -> SAP enhancements to search for screen exits
MENU EXITS
Menu exits allow you to add your own functionallity to menus. Menu exits are implemented by SAP, and are reserved menu entries in the GUI interface. The developer can add his/her own text and logic for the menu.
Function codes for menu exits all start with "+"
Example
We want to create a new menu item in the Office menu. The text for the menu should be "Run ZTEST", and the menu will
run report ZTEST.
Goto transaction SE43 Area Menu Maintenance
In Area Menu Paramenter type 'S000' (S triple Zero)
Select Change and ignore all the warning screens
Expand the office menu. In the buttom of the office tree you will find a menu named "Customer function"
Double click on the text. In the pop-up screen change the text to "Run ZTEST". Note that the trsnaction code is +C01
Goto transaction SE93 and create transaction +C01 that calls report ZTEST.
Now you will se the menu displayed in the office tree. If you delete transaction +C01 again, the new menu will dissapear.
USER EXITS
User exits (Function module exits) are exits developed by SAP. The exit is implementerd as a call to a functionmodule. The code for the function module is writeen by the developer. You are not writing the code directly in the function module, but in the include that is implemented in the function module.
The naming standard of function modules for functionmodule exits is: EXIT_<program name><3 digit suffix>
The call to a functionmodule exit is implemented as: CALL CUSTOMER.-FUNCTION <3 digit suffix>
Example:
The program for transaction VA01 Create salesorder is SAPMV45A
If you search for CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION i program SAPMV45A you will find ( Among other user exits):
CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '003'

2. How to find user exits
Display the program where you are searching for and exit and search for CALL CUSTOMER-EXIT
If you know the Exit name, go to transaction CMOD. Choose menu Utillities->SAP Enhancements. Enter the exit name and press enter.
You will now come to a screen that shows the function module exits for the exit.
3. Using Project management of SAP Enhancements
We want to create a project to enahance trasnaction VA01
Go to transaction CMOD
 Create a project called ZVA01
 Choose the Enhancement assign radio button and press the Change button
 In the first column enter V45A0002 Predefine sold-to party in sales document . Note that an enhancement can only be used i 1 project. If the enhancement is allready in use, and error message will be displayed
 Press Save
 Press Components. You can now see that enhancement uses user exit EXIT_SAPMV45A_002. Double click on the exit.
 Now the function module is displayed. Double click on include ZXVVAU04 in the function module
 Insert the following code into the include: E_KUNNR = '2155'.
Activate the include program. Go back to CMOD and activate the project.
 Goto transaction VA01 and craete a salesorder. Note that Sold-to-party now automatically is "2155"

Push Button Problem in Custom screen

Hi All..
In my custom screen, i have 2 (A1, A2) input boxes with F4 option and a Push Button..
When i select the data in these input boxes, i will click Push Button (COPY) to transfer the data from these (A1, A2) to other two input Boxes (B1, B2)..
But data are displaying in (B1, B2), if and only if i click the Push Button 2 times..
How to make the code to display those data from A1-A2 to B1-B2 by Single click..???

In PAI, I have coded the lines as follow..
Still i need to click 2 times to get the data displayed in B1,B2..
