Custom starting point for song?

I'm wondering if it's possible to set a custom starting point for a song, similar to the way that the end point can be set:
I find that I have to start my song about two measures in (I tend to need more time than the Count In setting allows), but when I go to share the song, I don't want those first two measures.  Short of highlighting all tracks and dragging them left when I'm done, is there another way to set a custom start?
Thanks!
Andrew

  • Starting Point for GSS

We are going to deploy GSS in a DC-DR scenario. Primary role for this GSS would be for failover when DC becomes unavailable. As of now, we are not planning to make these GSSes as an authorative servers for Domain names.
My question is How GSS should be configured. I've gone through pdfs explainng how GSS works and KAP-AL with other GSS, ACE etc. However, I am not able to completely understand about its IP addressing, physical connectivity (most likely, this would be outside firewall) and more details about GSS-ACE deployment. We are going to have ACE appliances in Primary DC as well. There will be no ACE appliance in DR.
Any guidance about starting point for GSS deployment would be helpful. I was also looking for questions to be asked for client requirement gathering.
THanks in advance. Happy 2012 !

  • Default starting point for a search? Stopping a Finder Search?

"Command F" brings up a search window, defaulted to "This Mac". All too often, I forget to switch the search to my intended target before entering the search criteria. I've got several TB of storage on line, so a "This Mac" Search can take a l-o-n-g time. I can't find a way to stop this search once it's started. Is there a way to set a preference for Find to default to the selected item (disk, folder, or whatever) rather than the whole computer? Am I missing a "cancel" button somewhere?
    Peri

Backspacing or deleting the search criteria does not work. Once the beach-ball cursor starts spinning, nothing I do has any effect until the search is complete - which may be several minutes.
On 10.4, there was is an "x" at the lower righthand corner of the search window (next to the search indicator), which would cancel the search. There is no "x" on 10.5.
Saving a search might be an answer if I repeated the same search frequently, but I don't. Also, I'd have to remember to use the sidebar. If I could remember that, I'd probably could also remember to change the starting point for the search.

  • Help with starting point for "proof of concept" integration

We are a third party application provider and are attempting to figure out how to do a "proof of concept" integration with SAP.  We are not looking for "certification".  Our product does not appear to fit any of the standard certifications for integration and our experience integrating with other systems indicates that no two integration will be identical.
We are looking to do a simple integration scenario with an SAP system so we have some basic experience doing it, can say 'Yes" when asked if we have done it, and can create a video showing a transaction being done in SAP and our system also updating (and ideally the reverse).
Our starting point with respect to SAP knowledge is "0".
Our basic task list (we think) goes something like
    1.  Figure out the version and modules of SAP with which we should be integrating
    2.  Get access to an SAP system (do we rent, is there a developer/evaluation, ...)
    3.  Put some data in the test system (is there a "sample data" set?)
    4.  Figure out the SAP transactions that map to the business process in which we are interested (moving goods in and out of a distribution center/ware house - are there some "standard business process guides")
    5.  Integrate (we are a .NET web based application so we are guessing this means use the ".Net Connector")
Could anyone point out any resources (white papers, links, people, places to find people,...) that might be a good starting point?
    Thanks,
    John

    Athol,
We are looking to recieve notifications out of SAP as tractor trailers at a dock are filled as proof on concept.  The actual integration scenarios we do are more complex and do not match well with any of the pre-packaged certification scenarios.  The real world integration scenarios actual vary substantially from customer to customer in terms of the integration points between systems.
As we have become more marginally knowledgable about SAP, I think we will end up receiving and sending "IDOC" messages from SAP but have no idea what those IDOC messages are or where to start looking for what a "standard" (if there is one) message SAP would generate in reaction to whatever the "trailer is loaded" transaction is.
To figure out what the transaction is, I assume we need to identify what version of SAP we should be targeting for a simple integration.  Are there any could references on what the commonly integration methods are and to which versions they apply?
Something like "hey, if you do an integration with a IDOCs in with SAP Netweaver 2004 then that would good proof you could integrate with 90% of the installed SAP base".  Of course, any links explaining what the versions of SAP are and where they are in there lifecycle and what people are actually using would be helpful.

  • Newbie!  Start Point for Model

I would like to make the Start Point to my Model from a User Id from R/3 (ESS)
So for example I would like to display the Communications Infotype and display everything listed against the User Id.  I found the BAPI and can output the Data.  Not sure how to configure the User Id.
    Help!
    Thanks

    Hi Stuart,
you get the user ID via user component in VC (portal user) and the for the user of your backend you can write a simple ABAP RFC function module, which returns the user from the syst structure (sy-uname). Hope that helps.
    Best Regards,

  • A starting point for pipemenus in Openbox

Does anybody know of a good "hello world" pipemenu written in python or bash? I'd like to get started with making my own pipemenus, but I'm having a hard time looking though some of the pipemenus on the Openbox website. I just need a nice clean one to look at for a starting point. Thanks.

    Hi kiwisaotome,
The idea is to make a script that creates an xml form at the time when it is called, which the openbox menu can use. It's fairly easy. Here is an example that I use. I don't remember where I got it from:
    #!/bin/bash
    FREQ=`cpufreq-info -p | awk '{print $3}'`
    echo '<openbox_pipe_menu>'
    if [ $FREQ = 'powersave' ]; then
    echo '<separator label="Powersave"/>'
    else
    echo '<item label=" Powersave">'
    echo '<action name="Execute"><execute>sudo cpufreq-set -g powersave</execute></action>'
    echo '</item>'
    fi
    if [ $FREQ = 'ondemand' ]; then
    echo '<separator label="Ondemand"/>
    else
    echo '<item label="Ondemand">'
    echo '<action name="Execute"><execute>sudo cpufreq-set -g ondemand</execute></action>'
    echo '</item>'
    fi
    if [ $FREQ = 'performance' ]; then
    echo '<separator label="Performance"/>'
    else
    echo '<item label="Performance">'
    echo '<action name="Execute"><execute>sudo cpufreq-set -g performance</execute></action>'
    echo '</item>'
    fi
    echo '</openbox_pipe_menu>'
Then I call it from the openbox menu.xml where it first is declared or what ever it's called:
    <menu execute="~/.config/openbox/scripts/cpufreq-pipe.sh" id="system-cpu-menu" label="CPU Governor"/>
    And then called:
    <menu id="system-cpu-menu"/>
    Hope that helps.

  • Modified start time for songs overlaps on to other songs

If I change the start time of a song in itunes, and I listen to the song on suffle with an ipod touch, other songs that I shuffle start with that same modified start time as the original song.
    That is,
Say I have a song, "Great Song" by "Cool dudes"
and another song "Terrible Song" by "Get this off your iPod"
And I set the start time for Great Song to be 0m 42s.  If I have my iPod touch on shuffle and this song is picked, it starts at 0:42.  If I change the song before this song finishes and Terrible Song is picked, it will also start at 0m 42s, despite me never changing its start time.
    How can I fix this?

    Hi Alonzo,
In the UK, you currently should be in GMT with Daylight Saving on. You'll need to correct the time on the phone (by moving it back one hour in Settings > Time & date > Time) when you have done this.
After this you'll need go into iSync, select your phone and from the Devices menu select Reset Device to re-populate the phone with the correct data.

  • "Start" time for songs

Hi everyone, within iTunes, you're given the ability to actually set the start time for a song, in my case, this would allow me to cut out the intro... My question is this, when I do set the time for a song, it works fine within iTunes, but it does not carry over to my iPod... is there a way of setting this?

I believe it should work on iPods. It seems to work just fine on my 5th generation iPod. Perhaps time to perform a Restore on the iPod to make sure it is in a good state of repair and resync your library?
Alternatively you can create a copy of the track from the original that has the start time specified. This will make a copy trimmed down to only the parts between the start/stop times. Then sync that version to the iPod.

  • Start point for JDeveloper from Delphi

    Hi Everybody,
I want change my software devlopment method from Delphi To Java. What is your suggestion for learning Java. Where is my start point.
    Best wishes
    Mehmet Avar

There are a couple of issues here:
    1. Learning about java
    2. Learning about your target platform (webbased, gui)
    3. Learning to use JDeveloper to accomplish your goals
There may be more. Personally, I think you should address them individually and in this order. There are books available to get you going, although I don't have/know any one particularly. Just look around. Or try to find some tutorials/docs on the internet. Google is your friend.

  • Start point for EHS

    Hi All,
I am new in EHS and I would have a look at it. Would you please share with me any start point (Link, document and so on) if you have? How and from where should I start?
I found just a book on Amazon but unfortunately it was out of stock
    Thanks in advance,
    Omid

    Dear Omid
I have only shortly googled to get ideas about SAP HCM. I am sorry to say that I was not able to detect any overlap to SAP EHS solution; SAP EHS does have "only" some interface to SAP HR. So your starting position in EHS is "not very good". But that should not hinder you to consider SAP EHS as a potential interesting future option. If you drill down this FORUM you will find many similar examples. That means consultants from SAP FI and othere areas are interested as well in learning SAP EHS.
    Only some short feedback regarding:
"EHS can affect MM or SD procedures"; this is a link in both directions.  To use SAP EHS (for some purposes) you need to link SAP EHS and SAP MM; SAP SD is linked to SAP EHS mainly in the area of SDS/MSDS distribution and Dangerous goods handling; but other integration options do exist as well.Check may be:
Substance Volume Tracking using SAP EHS MANAGEMENT
Examples of Integration of SAP EHS Management into other SAP Solutions
The main integration points are quite good explained here::
Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) - SAP Library
    and here:
Extension 5.0 for SAP EHS Management – SAP Help Portal Page
The topic of training / certification etc. is mentioned as well in document: "SAP EHS Management for Beginners".
E.g. SAP FI etc. links to EHS are discussed here: Error
or here: EHS : Waste Management ( Why PO is created)
As SAP EHS is a "big" module it is nearly impossible to give you additional guidelines. The main "hint" is: Component Extension solution is getting now a "hype"; therefore mans project seem to come up; SAP EHS classic is "old" to a certain extent; in most case there is only the need to prepare "small" changes and I assume most chemical companies using SAP do use SAP EHS since years and the REACH and GHS hype is "over" to  a certain extent. Clearly on regular basis changes are needed; but no real "big projects"
So if you are interested in SAP EHS you should may be check "Component Extension" solution. Here the link to SAP HR is "very" closed (as we talk about Incident and risk handling for persons etc.

  • Starting point for graphics

Could anyone recommend where to start looking for information on how to do graphics in a GUI? I am looking for very simple stuff (displaying icons and drawing lines between them)
If there is a good tutorial out there, that would be very helpful.
    Thanks,
    John

Hmm, you've referred other people to the Swing tutorial. I guess you missed the section on [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/14painting/index.html]Performing Custom Painting.
You could also look at using existing components. For example maybe a JPanel or JComponent with just a Border to represent the line. Or create your own "LineComponent" and then just add the components normally using regular Layout Manager. Of course I don't know your exact requirements, but it may get you thinking.

  • Starting Point for Internal Candidates in E-Recruitment

    Hi Experts,
We recently upgraded our E-REC to SAPK-60405INERECRUIT.  I noticed that hrrcf_a_startpage_int_cand is now inactive.
Is hrrcf_a_startpage_int_cand the starting point that you use for all your internal candidates, or is there another option?
    Thanks in advance.
    Shane

    Hello Shane,
I assume you have the effect that after importing the support package the ICF service went from active to inactive. This has nothing to do with the support / usage of this ICF service. It is a technical behaviour that ICF services or complete subtrees of services can change from active to inactive during release upgrade, on applying a support package or even when transporting an ICF service.
So you should add "checking the state of ICF services" to your patch checklist as it is something you should always verify, same like run the SGEN, invalidate the http server caches or adjust the otr text contexts.
    Kind Regards
    Roman
