Custom Tab Missing in Template Section

Hello -
I recently migrated to SharePoint 2013.    Under Site Settings > Web Design Galleries > Solutions, I can see that my site templates carried over.   They have been activated.    However, when I go to create a
new subsite, I noticed that the Custom tab is missing.    Any suggestions on how I can retrieve that?

I was able to modify the manifest.xml file, and repackaged the .cab using IZarc.   I renamed it to a wsp and uploaded to the site Solutions and was able to then click the Upgrade button.   it's activated, but there still isn't a Custom
tab.    When I recreated the template in 2013, I was able to see the Custom tab.
I guess there isn't a real easy way to migrate 2010 site templates to 2013.
Here they mention to recreate using 2013, but I wonder what companies that have hundreds of custom site templates would do it their case?
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219648.aspx
Q: I receive an error that I cannot create a subsite based on a site template because the site template uses the 2010 experience version and my site collection is in the 2013 experience version
A: Recreate the site template in the 2013 experience.
To recreate the site template, create a new subsite based on the 2013 experience, customize it again to match the template that you had, and then save the customized subsite as a template (on the
Site Settings page, click Save site as template).

    Hi,
For a tip to understand for Visual Upgrade refer here :

By Custom Templates, I mean remove old Master Pages : Go To Site Settings --> Look And Feel --> Master Pages (click on Master Pages to open window with Master Pages and CSS Style). From this page select V4Maste.master and default CSS. Refer here for

  • Activation tab missing "Uses SOAP" section - COM+ Activation Tab

    Hi All,
I am migrating COM+ application from windows server 2003 to windows server 2008. In windows server 2003 , COM + application having "Uses SOAP" section of the Activation Tab and we are using that option so far.
But this featues was not there in WS 2008. I am new to COM + applications, Please guide me to solve this issue?

    Hi Jack,
Unfortunately since Group policy object or Group policy group policy preferences won’t affect 3rd party application configurations, I am afraid that If we cannot find relevant Registry entry, there might be no way to get that goal by using
building feature in Windows. Since we are not expert about this application, I’d suggest contact with this app vendor/developer check if there is any .conf file for deploy, there you might get more effective suggestion by experts who familiar with
    practice on this.
Also you could try to change the value from application interface, and at the same time using process monitor to check that if any registry value modification occurs.

  • Strange Custom Template Sections Behaviour

I've created some custom template sections so I can insert my own various page types for a document I'm producing. The strange thing is Pages will insert an extra blank page (similar to the master but not exactly the same it's missing a text box) between sections when I add a section—but only some of the time!
It will not do it when I initially add the section.
It will only add in a 2nd page between when I add additional sections, be they the same type of section or another type of section.
I cannot delete this 2nd page without deleting the 1st page of the section as well.
When I try to capture just the 1st page to make another version of the custom template it still exhibits the above behaviours, inserting this "buffer" 2nd page in between sections.
All the other custom sections I have created do not exhibit this behaviour.
I've turned on invisibles and can't see anything that makes this section special or different.
Any guesses as to why it inserts this extra page in between sections to make a 2 page section instead of staying as a 1 page section?

You have some text being forced over to the next page, either because you hammered away at the spacebar/return key/tabs, or have some object wrap pushing returns over, or both:
    +Menu > View > Show Invisibles/ Show Layout+
Once you have cleaned up your pages recapture them as sections and resave your template over the old one.

  • Speaker Properties, Custom Tab is missi

When i go in to my speaker properties i'm missing the Custom Tab to enable digital audio ... I'm using the X-FI ExtremeGamer card in Vista-32 with the latest drivers. Has anyone found a fix for the problem Thanks, Indetroit

    Hi,
Whether you have an enhancement tab in the Sound properties window depends on the particular audio driver loaded - some give this option and some don't.
    Try the following.
First of all, uninstall your current IDT driver from its entry in Programs and Features and when done, restart the notebook.
When windows has fully reloaded, download and install the version on the following link.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55501-56000/sp55977.exe
When the installation has completed, restart the notebook again before checking if the enhancements tab is now available.

  • Project template: custom tab / field group

    Hello!
We set-up an additional custom tab for some object types (DPO, PPO, TTO...), thanks to the field group customizing.
However, it seems not possible to display these fields in the templates: DPT, PPT, TTT. The field groups are defined per project type, so why don't we see these fields in the templates when we select a project type? The more strange is that we see the tabs, but not the fields...
Does anyone have an idea to perform this?
    Thank you.
    Matthias

    Hi Matthias,
If you can see the tabs and not the fields, pl check if you have covered field control for these newly created custom fields.
To have field control for these fields, you will have to copy the standard SAP provided field control, include the structure that has you custom fields and give it authorizations etc as per your requirement.
Pl read carefully the documentation provided with field control.
    Regards,
    Reema.

    </Elements>
As seen, the RegistrationID and list Type ID are the same so in theory this should work. Also, for other lists deployed through the same solution with the same Type ID, the ribbon tab and controls render perfectly fine.
Any ideas what may be the issue here?
    Appreciate your input!

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you had an issue about the custom tab for list.
As you had said, the other tabs for other lists in the same solution worked well, the code would have no issues.
I recommend you create a new clean project with only one list and the tab to check whether it works.
What’s more, you can also change the list template type ID(such as 100), then check whether it works.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • XD01 Custom Tab Problem

    Hi All,
I have created one custom tab in XD01 using the BADIs  CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA  and CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_CS . It is working fine.. and custom tab is displaying fine.
But the problem is when ever user miss any data in Company code (mandatory fields like reconsilation account)..error display then my custom tabl is disappering.
COuld you please tell me any way to capture the custom tab even though any error message in any tabs.
    Thanks
    RAHUL

    Hi Raj,
As far as I know, you can't define your own tabs (not with SAP Standard). However you can control the field/layouts, appears on the screen, by that standard tabs will be shown or hidden.
You can do that by approaching:
IMG- Financial Accounting- Accounts receivable and account payable- Preparations for creating customer master data.
On this section you will find answers for your needs.
    Rewards will be appreciated.

  • A method to create completely customized photo book page templates from scratch in Lightroom 5

I was able to successfully create completely customized Lightroom 5 page templates (including altering the number of, positions, and sizes of pictures) by making edits to the templatePages.lua file(s) in the Lightroom directory tree.  I have never heard of the LUA file format before, but it is ASCII and looks somewhat like XML, so it was fairly easy to decipher.  Here is a high-level description of how I did it.  This applies to Lightroom 5 on Windows 7.  If this doesn't make any sense to you, then don't try it - you're likely in over your head.  Although my description is brief and lacking in detail, it should enable someone who is capable of handling this to figure it out with a little of careful trial and error.  Do this at your own risk - if you screw-up your installation, catalog, or computer, it's your own fault.  It all worked great for me.
First, open the "<lightroom 5 install directory>\Templates\Layout Templates" folder.  Then navigate to the template set that contains the template you would like to use as a starting point for the new template.  For example, "12x12-blurb\clean12x12".  Make a back-up copy of the templatePages.lua file in case you mess something up and want to revert.
There will be a bunch of .jpg files in this directory that each contain a preview image of the layout that carries the same name as the .jpg file.  Find the one that you would like to use as a starting point.  Take note of the name of the file, which is probably something similar to "page_26_preview.jpg".   Duplicate the file and rename it to something unique, such as "dummy_preview.jpg".  It's just temporary, so it doesn't matter what name you pick, provided it is a legal file name with no spaces.
Next, open the templatePages.lua file in a text editor.  I suggest using one that can automatically recognize and format ULA (such as Notepad++, which is open source and free to use).  Then search the file for the unique portion of the file name you took note of earlier, such as "page_26".  It will point you to a section in the LUA file that describes that particular template.  Carefully copy that entire section, including a balanced number of brackets (starting with the two brackets and commas before "children" and ending with the one bracket and comma after the "title" line.  Paste the copied text into the end of the file on a new line immediately following the bracket and comma after the "title" field for the last page template section (right near the end of the file).  Change the "previewName" field to the name of the preview file copy that you created ("dummy_preview.jpg" for me) and the "name" field to the name of the new template you're creating ("dummy" for me, since it is just temporary).  Next change at least one of the hex characters in the "pageID" field such that the new template will have a unique page identifier.
Now you can make edits to the photo and text fields included in the new section, using other templates in the template file as examples.  "x" and "y" fields are coordinates (in pixels) for the bottom-left corner of the picture or text field, "height" and "width" are the width of the field in pixels.  The fields should be mostly self-explanatory, but make sure that the "photoindex" fields are filled-in starting from 1 to N, where N is the number of pictures in the template, with no duplicates or gaps.  They do not need to be in order.  Treat the "textIndex" fields similarly for text fields.  If you want to add an additional picture or text field, simply copy the section describing a picture or text field from another template and paste it, carefully, into the new template that you are creating.
Once you are done, save the file (you may get interference from Windows UAC, in which case save the file elsewhere and the move it back to the correct directory).  Then open Lightroom.  Create a new photobook, and choose the new template for one of the pages, remembering that the preview image will look like the JPG that you copied.  Voila!  If you didn't screw anything up, you should see a page based on your new template.  Then right-click the page and select "Save as custom page", which will cause a fresh preview file to be created for your new template and your template to be copied to the "custom pages" section of the template menu.  The new section you added to the "templatePages.lua" and the "dummy" preview file can now be deleted, since they are no longer needed.  I save them so that I may simply overwrite them the next time I need to create a customized template.
Enjoy, and please share any clarifications, corrections, or enhancements to my process.

This post was great!  Thank you so much.  But I am hoping you know one more thing related to this.  In the "transform" section of the definition (where the x/y coordinates are set along with height and width) there is an option called "angle".  I was hoping that changing this value would allow me to offset the angle of the picture.  However, if I put any value there other than 0 the template becomes unusable.
Do you happen to know what this option does?
I haven't looked into the files, so this is just a guess based on how some graphic applications work. It's common to think of rotating a shape as pivoting around a center point, but It's possible that the file sets a value for the rotation point not at the center. In some graphics applications, you can set a shape's pivot at any corner or in the middle of any side, of the rectangle that contains the whole shape.
So, your value may be rotating the shape around a pivot that moves the shape into some area that upsets the behavior of other shapes. Just a thought.

Peter's point is a good one.  I would also assume that the "angle" property allows you to rotate an image, but I haven't tried it myself.  One thing to investigate - are there any page templates included in LR that have image placeholders that are at an angle (I don't recall any, off-hand)?  If so, looking at the associated .lua file could provide insight into how an angled image placeholder should be described.

  • Adding new custom field in already existing custom tab for MM01

    Hello Guru,
I have a requirement that add a custom field in already existing custom view of MM01. I did the following steps :
    1. I have cerated a new field in MARA using APPEND structure.
    2. I have found the function group(Y_FE_MARA) that already there other subscreens, so that I have added another subscreen in that function group and created a field from MARA in the screen.
    3. in SPRO went for the path Logistics General->Material Master->Configuring the Material->Define Structure of Data screens for Each Screen sequence
In the 3rd step, I have choosen already existing screen sequence(Y1) and went for Data Screens and choosen for Custom tab and double click on subscreens and then I have added the program as SAPLY_FE_MARA and subscreen number(011) and saved it.
After all the above steps, I have run MM02/MM03 then the field is not getting displayed in the screen of custom view.
Did I miss any steps here? Please suggest me if I did something wrong.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Raymond,
Thank you for the reply. As per the note some one already implemented the Screen Enhancement with 2 custom views. I need to add the field in any one of existing custom view. So for this I have created a Subscreen in copied function group of MGD1(Y_FE_MARA). But in the function group already 10 Subscreens were created. Is this is the problem? or else copy the FG MGD1 into another FG and create the subscreen will be feasible to my scenario?
    Please suggest me.

    Hi Prabu,
Just do a quick check if there is any custom implementation in Project management side. This may occur most probably due to not defining the navigations properly or if any modifications in the Define Navigation part of SPRO. Raising a ticket to your BASIS team might help some time to resolve this. Last option is OSS notes.
