Custom url next to dashboard name

Hi All,
I am using a custom css and I want to add a link to an external site. I would like this link to appear next to the dashboard names (so I can position it using css) or anywhere in the header area, i.e. at the top of the page where the banner and dashboard names appear.
Has any body else done this or does anyone have any ideas how to do this? Thanks.

This might point you in the right direction...

  • Adding Custom URLs to the Dashboard with variable ?

    Hello Everyone,
    I can add url in the dashboard...
    refer to http://oraclebizint.wordpress.com/2008/01/31/oracle-bi-ee-101332-adding-custom-urls-to-the-dashboard/
    My Step is :
    1. Go to {OracleBI}\web\msgdb\messages and copy the file commonuitemplates.xml to {OracleBIData}\web\msgdb\customMessages (if you dont have this folder create a new one). Now open this file in a text editor
    2. Search for the web message kuiMainBarActionsTable and add the below listed lines immediately after the tr tag
    <!--
    <td class=”DashBarProductCell”><a href=”http://xxx:7777/pls/apx/f?p=104:42:::::P0_USER:[bAdministrator” target="@{target}" onclick="saw.closeChildWindows();">Log Out</td>

    I try to change "Administrator" with session variable => session.currentUser.id
    Does anyone know how to change it?

    Can you try this "session.serverVariables.VARIABLENAME"

  • Unexpected result on custom URL and drilldown-abled chart

    hi, I have a custom URL
    saw.dll?PortalGo&PortalPath=/users/administrator/_portal&Path=/shared/test_subject_area/drill_down_bar_chart&Action=Navigate&Options=mdfr&Done=Dashboard&P0=1&P1=eq&P2="tableA$".market&P3="japan"
    and drill_down_bar_chart is a bar chart with drill down (market is the topest level)
    lets say there are 2 level on the drill down, market and sub-market
    (the chart is in the 3rd dashboard page)
    I access the chart by the custom url, the bar chart is shown (at this moment, showing the measures per market)
    at this moment, if I click "Return"(on the list of "Reports Link"), it returns to 3rd dashboard page, this is expected
    however, if I click on one of markets instead of clicking "Return", the measures per sub-markets of market "japan" is shown.
    if I click "Return" at this moment, it returns to 1st dashboard page, this is not expected.
    how to solve this problem?
    thanks you very much

    Hello,
    Yes, it behaves like you said,
    the work around i done is:
    written a back button HTML Code in the target report and name the button as return or Back
    Code is:
    *<INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE="GoBack" onClick="history.go(-1);">*
    Paste this code in static or narrative view with * Contains HTML Markup* check box enabled.
    Add this view in the bottom of report before your footer and align to left.
    save this report and try navigating from first report. But to return use the button we created.
    Hope it helps, but not sure your client will accept this or not... :-)

    I am new to struts2 application. I have the requirement on "*custom URL*"
    when I enter into my project like http://localhost:8080/App/secure/someaction.action?bookname=kathersera
    this is opening the particuler book in my project. upto this its fine.
    Now My requirement is that
    Even if we type like (+http://localhost:8080/App/kathersera+) author name it should go to that particular page.
    Any idea to implement this feature.
    I searched a lot on internet. I didnot get any information.
    Please help me to come out this problem.
    thanks in advance

    Hi PYRAMESH,
    U are using opening page using server. So, If u do not make a request to server to veiw the page how could u see the page directly. So u have to make any event to open the page Like here http://localhost:8080/App/secure/someaction.action?bookname=kathersera, the page is opened on the result of someaction.action. but if u try to use http://localhost:8080/App/kathersera, u r not using any action, so it s not possible to open the page directly.

  • Dashboard Name as Link in OBIEE 10g

    HI,
    Can v create the dashboard name as link in which when clicked will divert us to another portal??
    Actually we have an external portal ,we would like to pass the OBIEE UID & PASSWORD with the URL so that the external portal gets authenticated with OBIEE login credentials.
    for examples;
    http://111.222.333.444:81/Intranet/MisReports.aspx?UID=@{biServer.variables['NQ_SESSION.enc_emp']}&PASSWD=@{biServer.variables['NQ_SESSION.enc_pwd']}
    what r the options to archive this??

    We had the same issue - we tried to integrate our obiee page or dashboard On Internet.
    And, we were unable to encrypt the user id and password.
    So - we created a user id and password which seems to be like encrypted.
    http://....../saw.dll?Dashboard&NQuser=abbcdedfffggamyt190866298kyggmmdmnihnukvabnamam3ahd5gs6sdnakwwbqwjnsh&NQPassword=acde19457225822222mustsk192792765kahseg4090msajhamahagabkauatabagat
    Now we copied this link to our companys home page and gave a different hyperlink. So, when some one clicks on the name of Reports - it opens BI Dashboard skipping Login page.
    thank you.

  • Assigning a Custom URL to a Blog? Possible?

    Any chance of assigning a custom URL to a specific weblog? For example http://weblog.mycustomerdomain.com

    You can use the redirect approach, as already mentioned. To take that a step further, you can create the html page as a frame, so that the vanity domain appears on the address bar. For example, see http://www.paullynch.org/weblog/paul/Server/?permalink=blog.html&smm=y
    The next stage would be to edit the blog.properties in /Library/Tomcat/blojsom_root/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/<blogname> to use the vanity domain. I haven't done this yet myself, but I believe it should work.

  • OBIEE presentation url to use domain name

    Experts,
    I would like to make OBIEE presentation url to use domain name instead of ip address.  What and where is the change required for this?
    Currently the url is like this - http://10.20.123.456:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard and we want something like this http://myobiee.com:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard
    OBIEE : 10.1.3.4

    Thanks for your response.  I tried your suggestion in my local installation, but no luck.

    Your request could not be processed because an error occurred contacting the DNS server.......
    Am I missing something here.  Do you think it is this simple to achieve?

  • LPM Custom URL for Force change password

    Hi All,
    I have configured LPM in OAM Identity Server, In the password policy i have given the custom URL of my application for the change password screen after resetting the password.
    The issue here is... When the user tries to login with the new password (resetted password) it is not redirecting to the force change password page...

    I am having a similar issue with getting this feature to work.
    I have the Force Change Password on Next Login checked, and I'm using (just for testing purposes) the amadmin account as the Bind DN.
    Then when I configure a secret question for a user account, and change the password, then log in with the new password, I go to the configured "Default Success URL", and I am never forced to change my password.
    Does anyone know what the expected functionality is when this does work?
    I'm working with Identity 6.1 on a Solaris box.
    Thanks for your time.

  • Custom URL Scheme not working? (as supposed)

    Hey,
    I went into investigate about the "optional URL scheme" setting you can set up during building an app in the viewer builder.
    Quote from the Viewer Builder help:
    Optional URL Scheme
    Specify the custom URL scheme that launches the viewer app from Safari and other apps. […]For example, suppose you specify “com.sportspub.kayaking” as the URL scheme. If you embed a “com.sportspub.kayaking://” link on your webpage, clicking the link from the mobile browser opens the viewer app. […]
    The possibility sounds good, to link to the app from any web page you view on the iPad.
    But during testing this, I found out it's not that easy and/or not working as documented.
    Bob set the URL scheme for his app supposedly to
    com.dpstips.may5
    a link with
    <a href="com.dpstips.may5://">
    will not open Bob's app on the iPad ("invalid URL").
    I looked into the compiled app from the viewer builder and found out the actual URL scheme used is completly different, it is
    dps.7f80a0ffed3a4ff08734bc905aac4a29
    and the correct link would be
    <a href="dps.7f80a0ffed3a4ff08734bc905aac4a29://">
    that will open Bob's app (you can try it here if you are on an iPad).
    And if you know your interal folio and article names, you can even deep link into one article from a specific folio:
    <a href="dps.7f80a0ffed3a4ff08734bc905aac4a29://v1/folio/DPS%20Folios/01_Folio_TOC">
    you see these links in the landing page of the web viewer on the iPad.
    I collected all links and tests in this jsFiddle, that you can open on your iPad to test yourself: http://jsfiddle.net/YRUGj/15/
    Unfortunately, you cannot find out your real URL scheme without extracting your .ipa file and investigate the content's of the viewer, it is listed in the info.plist file.
    Is this supposed to work this way or is this currently a bug that might be fixed soon?
    —Johannes

    Felipe, I suspect you have some basic knowledge about nerdy stuff, follow
    the pink rabbit:
    (extract your developerviewer.ipa on a mac using extractor or sth.)
    1st http://download.nordsueddesign.de/skitch/viewer-20120527-163947.png
    (open the viewer bei right mouse click > Show Package Content)
    2nd http://download.nordsueddesign.de/skitch/viewer-20120527-163947.png
    (find your values in the info.plist file, try opening it with Textwrangler,
    some other text editor cannot keep it readable)

  • Android Custom URL Protocol

    Hello:
    Is there a way to setup a custom URL protocol for an Adobe Air app on an Android table? For example if you have a link in a web site like "myapp://sync", when you click it the app would open and you could check the params?
    Thanks!

    I am sure it has to do with the manafest.xml. I am able to get the browser to switch to the app but then it crashes and says "force close"
    <application android:enabled="true">
                                                <activity android:name="com.myapp.launch">
                                                          <intent-filter>
                                                              <action android:name="android.intent.action.VIEW" />
                                                              <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
                                                              <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT" />
                                                              <category android:name="android.intent.category.BROWSABLE" />
                                                              <data android:scheme="myapp" android:host="app" />
                                                          </intent-filter>
                                                      </activity>
                                            </application>
    What am I doing wrong?

  • Cisco Jabber for iPad - custom URL?

    The Cisco Jabber client for iOS is great, and we'd love to integrate it with one of our iPad applications. All iOS applications have an optional "custom URL" they can assign to themselves that enables them to be invoked by another application. They may also optionally include paramters (for example, a phone number). Does a custom URL exist for the jabber iOS client, and if so, is it possible to send it a parameter for a phone number so that it dials as soon as it starts up? Thanks.

    I don't get presence either, and would like to know if there is an answer for it.
    If I look up my user in the provisioning directory, it does show that my iPad is provisioned and active for my account.
    I can't say anything toward the lisence count, it's hard to say with all the accounts we have active sometimes.
    Our infrastructure is slightly different in that we are running TMS 13.2.1 and using TMS Agent Legacy.

  • IR Report "Link" Attibute Custom URL Escape : (colon) Character

    <h2>I am running Apex 4.0.2 and have an interactive report page 242 with a result set.</h2>
    Scenario
    In the "Report Attributes" "Link" settings I want to link the report to a 'Custom URL' target to take the user from this IR Report Page 242 to page 243 to a 'Single Record Data Entry Form'
    I am setting the value of the custom url target as:
    f?p=&APP_ID.:243:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.:243:P243_NAME,P243_DESCRIPTION,P243_LOCATION:#SOURCE_NAME#,#DESCRIPTION#,#LOCATION#:The P243_LOCATION column, however, has a ':' colon and a '.' values in the database column itself with a value of *'jdbc:Host123.abcd'*
    When the user clicks on the link the FULL location column is truncated before the ':' - OBVIOUSLY due to ':' being the paremeter separator column in apex
    So, the #LOCATION# value on Page 242 IR Report containing a value of *'jdbc:Host123.abcd'* is trunced on the called page 243 as 'jdbc' only and truncated prior to the ':' value contained in the field.
    Question:
    HOW Can I build the above URL so that the ':' can be visible on the Page 243 form field? with the full value passed into the called page with a value of: *'jdbc:Host123.abcd'* ?
    I tried the SYS.htf_esc(#LOCATION#) around the calling URL above, but doesn't work as expected.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.
    VSK

    Hi,
    You can not escape colons but you can pass commas in the url. Enclose the item value in \item_value\ to escape the "," in the item value . For colons, I would suggest creating a hidden field in the source report with SQL REPLACE function and replace all the colons with any other character like ||. Then you can use the same replace function on the target page to match with the new item value.
    Hope it helps. Thanks.

    To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry.  If you look at the effect of deep discharging Lithium-Ion batteries in the data from the independent test group, Battery University, you will see that doing so shortens the life of the battery significantly. It looks like an optimum balance between use and life is at a discharge level of 50%.

  • PCUI - open New Window via Button (to call custom URL / HTML viewer)

    Hello group,
    I have followed the "Use CRM PCUI HTML viewer to call a custom URL" in order to create a custom URL to BW web template.
    However, instead of displaying the URL in a tab (this works fine), I want a Button in the Accounts view to open up a New Window displaying the URL there.
    Here is what I have done:
    Create Field Group & Structure
    Create Event
    - Usage: Layout-Relevant
    - Text: Web template call
    Added Event to Toolbar Group ACC_OIC
    Define Application Layout (CRMM_ACCOUNT) for Event
    - Position: New Window
    - Screen Element Type: HTML
    - my field group
    - my structure
    Define Application Set (COMM_BUPA)
    - my structure
    - my access class
    The button is there, when clicked the read-method of my access class is executed, but no New Window is opened with the URL displayed.
    Is there something I am missing? Can the HTML viewer not called in a new window?!
    I appreciate any input you can provide me.
    Thanks and regards,
    Erik
