Customer (0SD_C01) InfoCube

Hi! I'm trying to activate this cube but i have many doubts. Has anybody used it?
My principal trouble is the delta upgrade from R/3, and the data source activation.
I'll appreciate any help.

This cube can be delta enabled. You can set up an LO delta extraction. More specifically What are your doubts??

Mapping Sales dist from customer master to 0SD_C01 infocube

Dear All,
I have a requirment of mapping Sales Dist ( 0SALES_DIST ) from Customer Master ( 0CUST_SALES ) into report based on Infocube Billing Condition Value ( ZSD_C01 ) . i.e. report should show Sales dist data fro customer master and not from transaction data.
The infocube ( ZSD_C01 ) contains sold to party ( 0SOLD_TO ) which can not be mapped to 0CUST_SALES .
Is there any solution for this.

When I am doing remodeling to Add 0CUST_SALES in Customer Dimenssion and using 1:1 maping with characteristics of 0SOLD_TO option . system is giving following error.
Characteristic 0SOLD_TO does not have all compoundings of 0CUST_SALES
Since 0CUST_SALES is compounded with Sales Area remodeling doesn't work in spite of having all characteristics of Sales area in the infocube.
Is there any other way to replace the data.

There is no specific Naming convention and it all depends how the company adopts, anyway you can use these naming conventions for better understanding
Please find the naming convention in the end of each line
1)Datasource - DS
2)Infopackage - IP
3)Transfer Rules - TR
4)Infosource - IS
5)Update Rules or DTP UR or DTP
6)DSO - DSO
7)Update Rules - UR
8)Cube - IC
9)Multiprovider - MP

Sometimes its better if your are Customizing the standard to prefix with Z .
Example if you want to customize 0SD_C01 InfoCube, then ZSD_C01 will be easy to maintain

GR Doc# and GR Line Item Number

Hi All,
We have custom defined infocube actually WM-stocks.Now our requirement is to add GR Number and GR line Item Number. can be these be added to Infocube or should we go for ODS? any help from experts?
Data has been loaded from generic datasource which is based on LQUA table.

We implemented just the opposite:
A cube for line items, an ODS for header data which didn't went to the cube (I mean those data that cannot be calculated by summing up item data).
If we need summary data from ODS, we use RRI.
Everything depends on a level of details you need. In our case we needed analysis on item data.

You can find the table related to InfoCube by following the below mention naming convention.

<C or digit>: C = Customer-defined InfoCube
Digit = SAP-defined InfoCube
<table code>: D = Dimension table
E = Compressed fact table
F = Uncompressed fact table
<InfoCube>: The name of the InfoCube without leading digits (if any)
<dimension>: (only used for dimension tables)
P = Package dimension
U = Unit dimension
T = Time dimension
0-9, A, B, C = User-defined dimension tables</b>

BI_CONT Patch levels and Transports

Hi,
Our BI development and test systems are on a different (lower) BI Content Patch level than our productive system is.
Can this cause problems (errors) when transporting to production?

I alreadyu made a test from different support packages version (even BW version from 2.1 to 3.1) and i worked.
My transport included only specific and no customizing, just infocube, objects,... not Business Content developpments.

ABAP issues in BW

Hi,
Is there anyway working with BW that you could avoid doing ABAP? Which module component in BW exactly is ABAP being used extensively? And whether these components can be substituted using something else other than ABAP coding? I think BW reports requires ABAP when using User's exit variables, but can BW reporting be the way it is without using User's exit variables, meaning can reporting be effective without the use of user's exit variable?
Now that BI 7.0 is requiring ABAP OO for the transformation routines, is it avoidable anyway?

R/3 side:
ABAP is used extensively on the R/3 side if Business Content is enhanced or custom infoobjects/infocubes are required.
This is unavoidable as the datasource structures need to be enhanced or created.
When enhanced - ABAP code would need to be written in the infosource user-exit to populate the enhanced fields.
When custom info-cubes are built and if function modules are used for data extraction again ABAP is required.
BW side:
On the BW side transfer routines and update routines require ABAP coding. The extent would depend on the requirements.
BW Queries:
The use of user-exit variables are again driven by the complexity of the query requirements.
I would think that a BW consultant should concentrate on Data modeling and non-programming part of the implementation - the hard-core ABAP work may be passed to an ABAP developer.

Unable to activate aggregates manually

Hi, we had a process chain consists of an abap program to build an aggregates for a custom defined infocube..in the display messages it was showing error like
"29.07.2007 1:42:08 ABAP/4 processor: SAPSQL_INVALID_TABLENAME"
So for that we try to activated and filled manullay the aggregates but it went vain as 1 out of 6 were not activated it was resulting as short dump error and i also tried doing individually but that also doesnt worked..Any suggestions are quitely appreciated..

For those who just want to sync new songs and 6.1.2 has ruined it for them by not syncing:
Connect iPod to iTunes (cable or Wifi). Select all the songs in your library and uncheck. Click on your iPod in the side bar. In the Summary page, scroll down a little and look for the box 'Manually manage music and videos'. Uncheck that box.
The box above it called 'Sync only checked songs and videos' will be automatically checked now.
Go to your music library = main iTunes window, select all the songs, right click and select 'check selection'.
Click on your iPod and click Sync. The music will start to copy. It finally started to work for me just now.

i need the process keys related to issues and receipts for the below mentioned stocks
I also need to stock types and the stock categories for the same.
I can get the process keys data in SBIW, but i am unable to find the exact keys related to the below stocks.
The below fields are from MARD table
LABST - Unrestricted
UMLME - Stock in Transfer
EINME - Restricted Use
SPEME - Blocked
RETME - Return

However, Logistic Cockpit extractors represent, in principle, structures that collect document-specific information from the logistics application and transfer it to the SAP BW.
Many key figures are yielded from the application. These must be transferred to the SAP BW with the help of the extractors. SAP ensures that document information is interpreted in advance with the help of a 'process key' so that key figures, which describe and measure the particular processes, can be more easily derived for customers.
In the 2LIS_02_SCL, for example, this means that the rows to be transferred only contain transfer quantities and value fields. The actual key figure is hidden behind the process key. There are generic key figures (transfer quantities and transfer values) that have a significance when combined with the process keys.
Process keys must, during the update, be resolved into corresponding key figures at the time of query creation at the latest, you must have a precise knowledge of the process keys for the creation of customer-specific infocube updates or the creation of the query.
Example: Update routine for the key figure 'Order Volume Quantity (External Vendor)'(pseudo-coding):
IF COMM_STRUCTURE-PROCESSKEY = `001`.
RESULT = COMM_STRUCTURE-TRANS_AMOUNT.
ELSE.
CLEAR RESULT. no update of key-figure
ENDIF.
Look at MCB0 transaction !!!

Trying to look Contents for a new custom InfoCube and giving ERRORS ?????

Hi all,
I have created a custom InfoCube (ZTEST_PS) in similar to 0PS_C04. When I try to look the Contents of this InfoCube through Manage --> Contents or Listcube Tcode option, it is giving the following warnings/errors for every attempt:
1. Your user master record is not sufficiently maintained for object Company Code Hierarchy
Diagnosis
When checking your authorizations for object 'Company Code Hierarchy' (technical name: ZCOMPHIER) it was established that you do not have authorization in your user master record for this object (return code 12).
Procedure
How you continue depends on the return code. See the online documentation for ABAP language element "AUTHORITY-CHECK". Please note:
With a return code of 12, the object 'Company Code Hierarchy' has not been maintained in the user master, meaning there is no profile in the user master record in which this authorization object has been entered. This is, however, absolutely necessary, as all of the authorization objects created in the development class RSR are validated in the 'and' link. If the authorization is missing for only one object, the request is rejected as unauthorized.
Get the person responsible for your authorization to create you a profile containing authorization for object Company Code Hierarchy.
2. System error: RSDRC / FORM AUTHORITY_CHECK USER NOT AUTHORIZED ZTEST_PS ZTEST_PS
3. System error: RSDRC / FUNC RSDRC_BASIC_CUBE_DATA_GET ERROR IN RSDRC_BASIC_QUERY_DATA_GET ZTEST_PS 64

When I try to run a query against this custom InfoCube, I am getting the same First Warning.
How can I fix theses warnings/errors, PLEASE ?

You dont have authorizations for the 'Company Code Hierarchy'ZCOMPHIER , you dont have authorizations.
What you will have to do is ask the basis person to give you authorization for the Hierarchy , Or if you can ..switcg off authorization checks for the Cube in T-Code RSSM.

Error while collecting Custom FlatFile related InfoCubes in CTS

Hi,
I am getting the error while collecting the FlatFile related custom InfoCube that the cube is not in the version A. I did checked that the cube is in the Active version i.e. Revised Version = Active Version; Object Status = Active, executable.
Any idea how to resovle this issue ?
Here is the information on the error message.....
Object 'PPY_C101' (CUBE) of type 'InfoCube' is not available in version 'A'
Message no. RSO252
Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name 'PPY_C101' (in transport request CUBE) of type 'InfoCube' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. If you have the name of the Infocube. Go to RSA1 transaction. Selecct Infoproviders in the left pane. Click on Find--> enter the cube name you want to search
Standard cube starts with 0(zero), whereas Customized cube starts with Z.
2. How to implement in dev. If standard info cube is not exactly suitable then what to do means can u make changes to standard info cube(I hope it wont possible)
I dont think you ca make changes to standard cubes. If you want to make any changes, copy the standard cube(If u right click on cube, we have a option of copy) & so the changes in the cusomized cube.
3.how to create customized info cubes.
Just goto RSA1-->select infoprovider in the left pane.
In the right pnae, rightclick-->create Infocube. Infocube is created!

report must be an ABAP program in ECC I guess...Why dont you look forward for generic extraction...
