Customer Entitlement for Small Publisher - Can't Afford Enterprise Edition

We have an iPad app produced with Adobe DPS but we want to offer the app to our paid print subscribers at no additional charge.
We understand that the Enterprise Edition of DPS offers this functionality. But we're a small nonprofit magazine with a low circulation, and the license fee for Enterprise Edition is a complete nonstarter. We have no need for any of the other Enterprise Edition functionality besides customer entitlement.
Does anyone have any idea of how we could accomplish what we want to do without buying Enterprise Edition?

If you have a single-folio app with a small set of customers, you might consider sending promo codes to your most loyal customers. Apple allows 50 promo codes for each release of the app. Promo codes work only for apps, not for in-app purchases.

Software advice for small publisher

I have a series of manuals about building houses, water tanks, bio-fiber composites and etc. The water tank manual is in several languages, all are plain black and white with zero hype or flash.
These manuals are important to only a few people, yet, for those who need a roof or clean water they are there either in print or free on the web. This really is low volume, only six hundred people a day on the entire planet go to http://www.ferrocement.com
As technology has become more advanced, I have lost reliable ability to layout, impose and print these manuals. I am using InDesign 4.0.2 and Mac 10.4.4. InBooklet 3.0.5 does imposition great but it was bought out by Quark.
BBEdit, Fetch, Illustrator, OS 10.4.4 and Photoshop do the web part as smooth as ever. It's the paper publishing side of the equation that has collapsed (it's become like an unpleasant computer game with each day bringing new and surprising ways to lose, for me).
Are there any other OS 10.4.4 people who can reliably layout a simple black and white book of photos and text with 100 pages or so? I print on HP Laserjet duplex using legal size paper horizontal, cut in half to make a 8.5 inch tall and 7 inch wide manual. Binding is done with a low volume, hot-glue book binder that's significantly faster than the printer so that's no problem.

It sounds like you need to take this up with the InBooklet folks. There's a Contacts list for them, even though they've been acquired by Quark. I find it interesting that InBooklet is not listed amongst their offerings, so they may have simply dropped support for it.
As I have no experience with InBooklet, I can't be of help there. Perhaps another contributor will have an answer for you. You might also try the Adobe InDesign forums at the Adobe Discussions. There you may find more folks who are using ID CS2 and InBooklet.
I'm still using ID CS (ID 3.x). ID 2.x was a bit buggy. ID CS fixed the bugs I found in ID 2.x but introduced some new bug that I was able to workaround. Accordingly, I've held off on ID CS2 (ID 4.x) as "the devil I knew" was an easier choice at the time and I was unable to get straight answers from Adobe as to if the bugs I reported for ID CS were actually fixed. I'll be interested in seeing what happens when the next version of ID is released.
It's a shame Adobe decided against porting FrameMaker to Mac OS X: that remains the defacto standard for book publishing. Given the choice of continuing with FrameMaker in Classic mode, or making due with ID under Mac OS X, I elected to use ID as Mac OS X is far more stable. I've suggested to Adobe many times that they need to introduce ID Pro: ID plus all the bits from FrameMaker that have been omitted.
Since your requirements are fairly straightforward, I wonder if some third-party word processors might suffice. I understand Word can do booklet layouts. Mellel is a very popular alternative to Word.

Can downloaded oracle9i Enterprise Edition use Bitmap index?

I have a downloaded Oracle9i Enterprise Edition. After I create some bitmap index on a partitioned table, I use the following sql statement to check the bitmap index:
select index_name, index_type, status from user_index;
It tells me that all the statuses of the bitmap indexes are "N/A" (Not availabe). Does that mean I can NOT use bitmap index in this downloaded Enterprise version?
If I must use bitmap indexes, what should I do?

Transaction Code: V-07 - Create a one-time customer. (Account Group - CPDA)
One time customer / vendor accounts in SAP means they are account groups for customer/vendor and where in only the general data of the customer / vendor are stored instead of maintaining the bank data and other company code data that are relevant for other account groups which are useful for long run purposes.
As you know everything that is entered in SAP is saved in some TABLE. Now the customer & vendor master is such a table which holds vast amount of data.
The business secenario where the vendor or customer which are being in system only for 1 transaction, it is not advisable to have all the data maintained in main master.
Therefore SAP has provided with the feature of One time vendor / customer wherein in the document entry stage only you have to enter the name, address and other details of the vendor/customer.
The data, as far as I know' remains at doc level and does'nt go to the master tables.
If you want to change the standard functionality then go to
Transaction OBD2, u will find CPDA, that is standard one one time customer account group.
Copy it and make necessary changes.

Donot extract from PSA. Access datasource directly (for small amts of data)

Hi Experts,
I am facing issue in DTP screen. I dont see File extraction selection path in DTP screen.
My requirement is to load the csv file directly into DSO. Here I dont use PSA /Infopackage. I want to do this by DTP selection. But in DTP selection I dont see File extraction options.
In DTP screen I dont see Check Box which says " Donot extract from PSA. Access datasource directly (for small amts of data) "
Last week we have upgrade/applied support packs. So I am assuming that is this issue occured due to upgrade activity or it is something other way which iam missing.

What is the location of your CSV file? Your Local machine or Application server ?
I believe it has to be application server to have this settings.
If you think this problem got created due to upgrade , you can try to create a FULL DTP for any of the master data/text DataSource and check if the option is coming there. If yes, then upgrade did not create any problem and you are sure this is a settings problem.
Please check this thread....Do not Extract from PSA but Access Data Source (for Small Amounts of Data)

Yes, you can replicate from Enterprise edition to Standard edition. The only caveat is Peer-to-Peer Replication requires all nodes to be Enterprise Edition.

How can I fix Firefox 18 and 19 from taking too long to close when custom settings for history is used?

Hello, please read entire post before answering, thanks!
I had Firefox(FF) 12.something and was happily using it when I had to get a new hard drive and start over, so I decided to upgrade to the latest FF of the moment, 18.something...
After going through setting up all the different add-ons etc.. and resetting the options/preferences (not cool how you all reset those every time it updates!) The time to open and close went from 2-4 seconds each to 78 seconds to open and 48 seconds to close. Over the last two days I tried (except reset) and read all the suggestions here to no avail.
So I read up on how to totally uninstall all traces of Firefox so I could do a clean install, that didn't work either: The freshly reinstalled FF 18.? program still opened and closed in the same times, and had all my info despite my deleting the folders/sub-folders said to hold that info. I turned everything off in FF, still no improvement, so again I tried to find accurate info on how to completely remove FF and still nothing that is correct for the current programs.
Today I looked again for info on how to totally remove FF, found something new to me, and tried that, including a complete search of the registry and removing everything with the firefox name, then reinstalled FF 18.?
Again all my bookmarks and info was there, and when I looked up help it auto-updated to 19.0 without my permission, again I don't like others making decisions for me for "my own good"(hence the screen name), not OK!
So I tried the reset feature in FF 19.0 and it did just that and the opening and closing lag times were gone, back to 2-4 seconds each,which seemed great!,but no.
When I went back to set up my options and restarted, FF went back to the lag, so I eventually removed/reset everything and all was well again, so I started putting/setting things back one at a time, that's when I found and verified the problem, the history settings!!!
I repeated this 6 times with the same results:
Set the History to Remember, and everything works fine, set the History to Custom the lag returns without fail.
My settings in Custom were:
Accept and remember everything until I close FF
Clear history when FF closes.
In the sub-menu "Settings" under the Clear History when FF closes:
All 6 boxes are checked for History and no boxes were checked for Data (all the defaults)
I looked at the processes running in Task manager when starting and stopping FF with these settings,I found that not only was FF.exe running but also a plugin-container.exe, both eventually stop after about 48 seconds, the plugin container does not appear to run when History is set to Remember all... (I have an incomplete memory about the plugin container causing problems like this in the past but I cant remember what or exactly when so...)
I also tried leaving the History setting to Remember All and the restarted and tried to clear everything through the Tools menu and FF stopped responding for about 60 seconds and then seemed fine afterward.
So I conclude that there is a problem in the newer versions with clearing History in the background while the browser continues to function, and the likely culprit is the plugin container(again?)...
So on to the questions...
Is it possible to set History to Custom and have FF 19.0 remain operational during that process and for FF to close in a few seconds as it did in FF 12.something with the same History settings?
If so how can I set that up?
If not, what is the latest version that will work correctly with the History being remembered until FF is closed and then wiped before re-opening, without waiting more than a few seconds for it all to happen as it was in my FF12.? version?
Also, How do I remove ALL TRACES of Firefox 18.? and up so that I can do a clean install if I need to, as I said everything that is here or linked to from here up to today, 2/21/2013, was not sufficient.

Why?
As it turns out, the plugin-container.exe rears its ugly head yet again. With as many as four instances trying to run at once, and locking FF completely whenever I try to watch videos online. (Google Chrome has no problems with the same videos on the same sites with the same software available to it on the same drive on the same machine, so it is definitely something in FF)
Also:
1. ) The auto update for; plug-ins, FF itself, add-ons, etc..., refuses to stay disabled.
I've read others saying that as many as five different areas need to be found and addressed in order to fully disable many of the "hidden" functions of the latest Firefox editions, yet I can't find a definite answer nor instructions to fully address this accusation nor can I find complete and full details/ instructions on how to completely uninstall all data connected to Firefox. I have followed what I can find so far and when I reinstall, all my personal data is there including bookmarks etc... so something isn't getting done...
2.) Whomever is in charge of "security"(Villalobos?) keeps disabling my plugins which is keeping me from using FF to some extent and may or may not be keeping the videos from playing while on-line and who knows what else, but as I have stated before I'm against anyone doing anything for any reason under the Hitler/Stalin-esque ideology that "the ends do justify the means", for example:

So as a last resort I'm going to downgrade to something that the socialist people who are now making decisions for the masses that use the newer editions of Firefox can't control (hopefully) and manipulate against my (our) will.
So I need your help cor-el to be able to remove ALL files/instructions/data in order to downgrade without anything "new" being left behind after uninstalling, presuming you know how to accomplish this and will share it with me and everyone else who wants to continue to use Firefox without someone else deciding what we can and can't do with it.(it is still open-source right?)

I use my computer and browser for my business, I can't afford spending all this time and trouble trying to undo what Jorge Villalobos( and those who think as he does) continue to do, apparently believing that it's ok to cost me (us) time and money in the name of "protection", he really doesn't get it, and I'm done putting up with socialists (or control freaks pretending to be socialists) trying to run my computer. you're welcome, but no, acrobat 7 cannot legally be used by non-licensed users for any length of time.
and while there are non-current adobe trial versions available back to certain versions, for acrobat, version 8 is the oldest trial version available. so, you can legally download and use (for 30 days) unlicensed acrobat versions, 8, 9, X and the current version XI.
the acrobat pro 7 that adobe is making available is only legal to use by licensed acrobat 7 owners. it is not legal to use for 30 days, or any other duration (limited or not), for non-licensed users.

How can I create a custom button for opening a form?

I have a parent form having child forms. In my main form I want to create custom buttons for opening child forms. I want to use master-detail form but there are more than one child forms, and in master-detail form I can only create one detail form. So I will create a form based on a table and in that form I will call the child forms by custom buttons. Can I do that?

This can be easily done. First open up two instances of your Portal. In one window, you will need to go into your component you wish to link FROM. In the other window you will need to go into your component you wish to link TO. In the component you wish to link TO there will be a moduleid. Note this somewhere. Then, you will see an area that says: "Call Interface: Show". Click on this. (In the window you are linking to.). In this window, you will see a bunch of stuff. At the bottom you will see a URL call. This is the call you need to use. At the top, it explains each piece of the URL call. Just subsitute YOUR appropriate information into the URL call. In the form you wish to link FROM, create a button. Once you create this button, it will appear at the bottom, click on it and you will see an area to insert a Javascript. Click the onClick and insert:
