Customer Exit Variblae with Offset

Hello Everyone,
Can any one tell me whether we can use offset on Customer Exit Variable or no?
I have
Variable 1. Calmonth_01 in first Column which is also input varialble.
Variable 2. Calmonth_02 is second Columnt which is Exit  Variable on which offset is not applied.
From third Column i m using second variable with offset.
According to me it has to work. but i m report it is not working.
Plz help.

Hi,
If you have any Input Variable on 0CALMONTH and based on the input month if you want to display the reports either + or 1 Months then you can use Off Sets it will work, no need to go for Customer Exit Variables.
1. Create a User Entry Variable on 0CALMONTH eg name of variable = ZMNTH
2. Restrict the Keyfigure with ZMNTH in column one.
3. Restrict the Keyfigure with ZMNTH-1 in column two, it will display Previous month data based on Input month
4. Restrict the Keyfigure with ZMNTH+1 in column three, it will display next month data based on Input month
Steps 3 & 4 are using Off Sets only.
For any Customet Exit variables see

  • Displaying Customer Exit Variable with derived value from another ODS

    Hi All,
Sorry if this question has been answered before.  I searched the forums and could not find anything specific to my problem.
I am new to BEx Query.  Customer is requesting a variable(s) be created which will be displayed as a column along with other CKF and RKF.  This query is a payroll query for US/Canada.  This new variable will be based on the user input date for the query.  We are to take this date and go look up the actual pay date for the pay period to which the user input date belongs.  The pay date is stored in another ODS.
So far, as far as the changes to the Customer Exit ZXRSRU01 are concerned, I would perform the logic when I_STEP = 2.  Do a basic selection off the second ODS, derive the pay date, and store in range table E_T_Range.
The data displayed off the user input date is displayed in rows.  This is done six times, going back seven days for each row (first row is data for period user entered date to user entered date - 7 days; second row is data for period user entered date - 7 days to user entered date - 14 days; etc ...).  For this to happen  correctly, I am assuming the variable(s) are to to have characteristic types 'Not ready for input', 'Mandatory', 'Customer Exit', and 'Single Value'.
My question is ... How do I display the six variables in columns (how are they to be defined in the query) and the characteristics I list above, are they correct? Does this need to be a replacement path variable?
    Thanks.

    Hi Amir,
What i can understand from u r requirement is you want to few columns that will show something like below,
    User entered date = x
Period of X to Period of (X-7)       Period of X to Period of (X-14).....
This can be done by CMOD for variable only.
    Logic steps :
    1) Take the user input.
    2) Find out the period by using T009B table and store in temp variable.
    3) Do day -7 and find out period for the same
    4) Assing period of X to ls_range-high range and X-7 to ls_range-low.
Let me know if you have any doubt

  • Customer exit variable with exclusion

Hello all, anyone know why a customer exit variable cannot exclude values ?
I've tried with multiple, single and interval without success (it give me a generic error in the customer exit for my variable).
Only the "selection option" mode seems to be enabled to exclude values (also in debug mode with rsrt transaction).
Unfortunately, I cannot use selection option (because this exclusion is an integration of pre-existence selection on a complex structure).
We have SAP BW 3.1C, with SP16. I've looked for sap notes but nothing about this problem (may be a limit).

Now I post my code. The variable is a "Multiple Single Values", optional, not "Ready for Input".
    This is my code.
      DATA: L_S_RANGE TYPE RSR_S_RANGESID.
      If I_STEP = 2.
        CASE I_VNAM.
         WHEN 'ZXXXXX'.
            clear l_s_range.
            l_s_range-sign = 'E'.
            l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
            l_s_range-low = 'xxxxxxx'.
            append l_s_range to e_t_range.
        ENDCASE.
      ENDIF.
The query raise an error (generic error on customer exit).
I've debugged the code. Error has raised from plausibility_check on RRS_VAR_VALUES_EXIT_AFTER. The following is the code that raise the error.
            CASE i_vparsel.
              WHEN   rro04_c_vparsel-param
                  OR rro04_c_vparsel-<b>multiple</b>
                  OR rro04_c_vparsel-table.
                IF     <l_s_range>-sign <> rs_c_range_sign-<b>including</b>
                    OR <l_s_range>-opt  <> rs_c_range_opt-<b>equal</b>.
                  PERFORM raise USING rs_c_false g_c_ue_invalid_range
                                      i_vnam space space space.
                ENDIF.
From this code, it seems that with multiple selection we only have sign including and option equal.
What do you think about ?

There is one standard query  0FIAR_C02_Q1001 where i enter value for 0FISCAL YEAR / PERIOD = 009.2009 then i will get Period Balance means AR balance for that period, Sales for the previous period (means for 008.2009) and DSO which is formula from the above 2 keyfigures. this report shows me data for only one month as i have to enter it in the selection screen.
My requirement is : in the selection screen i will give interval 009.2009 to 011.2009 then it should show me that report for Each Month. now to get the data for Period Balance i took cumulative balance so it is coming perfactly but HOW TO DEAL WITH SALES FOR THE PREVIOUS PERIOD for everymonth menas for SEPTEMBER i should be able to get get AUGUST VALUE for SALES same way for OCTOBER i should be able to get the value for SEPTEMBER and so on...

  • Change customer exit variable in selections over Dropdownbox

    Hello Experts,
    we are on NW2004s, SP12.
I have a customer exit variable (0CALYEAR) in two columns. In the first column the customer exit variable and in the second column the customer exit variable with an offset -1.
Now I want to change the year in a dropdownbox. Under <=BW3.5 that was not possible, only over a how to paper.
I can fill the dropdownbox in the web template but when I change the year, it jumps back to the year selected by the customer exit. How can I change the variable in the new web application designer (2004s) during the navigation? Has any one experience with such a problem?

    Hallo Frank,
how can I change the variable values in the WAD?
The parameters of the variable: mandatory, customer exit, reference characteristic: 0calyear, single value, not ready for input.
    My coding:

  • How to find out query name in customer exit for variables

We use the same customer exit variable in different queries. In the customer exit we want to find out, which query has called the customer exit. With the technical query name we want to read a master data table entry.
e.g. If we come from query ZG1_TEST1 we want to use selection sel1
    Query name  |  selection
    ZG1_TEST1   |  sel1
    ZG1_TEST2   |  sel2
How can we find out the query name in the customer exit for variables?
    Thanks for your help,
    Evi

    Hi Evi,
check out the structure I_S_RKB1D in your exit. It contains the query.

    Rows:  --- Columns
    Average monday  - Actual Orders
    Average Tuesday --Actual Orders
    Average wednesday -  Actual Orders
    Average thursday - Actual Orders

Based on the user entry , The query has to calculate Actual orders by different days..
I think I have to write customer exit variable. or is there any other/better solution..
    thanks
    srinivas

    Hi,
We can do it by using Customer Exit code, but it requires more efforts to do teh same. For Customer EXit codes with example please see the url.

  • Customer Exit with offset as input to other Customer Exit variable?

    Hi Experts
I have a query which uses a Customer Exit variable "A" with an offset. My problem is then that I would like to use the outcome of "A"+offset as input for another Customer Exit variable "B" in the same query.
    Is this possible somehow?
    Summing up by example:
Lets say that A return 001 and the offset is 3, then we got the value 4.
Can I somehow get this value (4) and use it in another Customer Exit variable in the same query?
    Kind regards,
    Torben

    Sure
I have 12 rows in a query. One for each month.
Each row is restricted on cust exit A and cust exit B.
A has an offset - the offset is the number of the month, which means 1 for January, 2 for february and so on. Cust exit A returns 001. So the value for Januar is 002, February is 003 and so on.
In cust exit B I need to get the result of cust exit A+offset. 002 for January, 003 for February and so on.
So, how do I get the A+offset for each row?
    Kind regards,
    Torben

  • Variable Offset for Customer Exit??

    Hi,
is it possible to have a variable offset for customer exit time variables?
E.g. I have a variable current month but can I also create a one-year offset of that?
In our system that doesn't work (but also the current month variable doesn't work...)
    thanks
    Sabine

    Hi,
As it is mentioned by Mr.Voodi,it definately works.
You only has given the answer for your problem .i.e you need to make sure the Customer exit variable is working proper. So take a look on the code used for it.

  • Variable offset in customer exit

    Hello,
I need to calculate the Date based on the user entered the values in the selection criteria 0calmonth.   Say the user entered the calmonth as 05/2008, i need to calculate the date and i can achieve this in customer exit.  But under calmonth variable if we use offset (as -1 or -2), it is not considerding.  Ex.  in selection criteria the value entered as 05/2008 and offset as -1,  then then date i need to calculate is based on value 04/2008 not 05/2008.   But in customer exit not sure how can i consider this offset value as well.
    Appreciate your earlier response.
    Thanks
    Sreedh

    Sreedh,
if the offset is not fixed, then can you provide a formula variable for entering this offset and then pass on both the cal month and the offset to the customer exit?
Lets assume calmonth is by variable V1 and formula variable is by v2, then pass to the customer exit v1-v2.
    Hope this helps

    Hi Supraja,
You would have to declare I_T_VAR_RANGE internal table as the table with an header line.
This you will find in data declaration segment.
    ie
    DATA : I_T_VAR_RANGE type <table name> WITH HEADER LINE.
    or
Create a work area like l_s_var_range.
Use work area while performing operations in your code and later append the record to the table i_t_var_range.
    DATA : L_S_VAR_RANGE type i_t_var_range.
Also, i_step = 3 is the right one, because you are processing the customer exit based on the values of the user input of two variables.
    Modified code below.
    DATA : l_s_range TYPE rsr_s_rangesid.
    DATA : L_S_VAR_RANGE type i_t_var_range,
    loc_var_range LIKE rrrangeexit.
    IF i_step = 3.
    CASE i_vnam.
    WHEN 'ZTXT_CML' .
    CLEAR: l_s_range.
LOOP AT i_t_var_range INTO l_s_var_range WHERE vnam = 'ZQUAR' AND vnam = '0periv'.
    IF l svar_range -0PERIV = 'IE'.
    IF l_s_var_range -ZQUAR = '1'.
    l_s_range-low = 'APRIL'.

  • Understanding complex query with selections(customer exit variables)

    Hi experts,
I am trying to understand one query having  a combination of selections and BEx variables in it.
In Characteristic Restrictions panel of Query Designer:
we have some CHARs restricted by means of authorisation variables
    In Default Values panel:
some other CHARs without any filters
    In free CHARS panel
    some characteristics
    In Rows panel:
some more chars that were placed in Default values panel
    In Columns panel:
    Formula YTD on selection YTD
    Formula Monthly on selection Monthly
    Selection on YTD characteristic(hidden)
    Selection on Monthly characteristic(hidden)
Selection XX(in definition,I saw selection on YTD Keyfigure and a characteristic variable VAR1(i-step=1) filled with customer exit..this variable picks up right version of Master Data...our system has many versions of master data, one for each year)
Selection YY(in definition,I saw selection on Monthly key figure and the same characteristic variable VAR1 we used in Selection XX)
When I execute this..I see one variable popup which asks for values for year and version of master data...I enter master data version for that year and the year....I see the result...
Now I tried to experiment to learn...I deleted Selection XX and Selection YY and tried to execute....a variable popup asking for year...I enter year and tried to execute..it throws message---'Value for variable VAR2 cannot be determined'......
I couldnot understand this error because VAR2 is a customer exit characteristic variable defined in CMOD...ITS NEVER USED IN THIS QUERY...but defined in CMOD to pick up correct version of Master data..its defined in such a way that it picks value depending upon VAR1 varaible....both variables function is same...its just that  VAR1 works on i_step=1 and VAR2 works on i_step=2 plus dependent on VAR1....
Can anyone understand why I am seeing error about VAR2 when its never used in Query....??
    Thanks for your inputs....

    Hi Vikram,
I am unable to find VAR2 anywhere in query designer....Can it be like that its hidden?
    Thanks and Rgds,
    SChand
