Firefox does not always remember custom history settings

I use custom history settings. I uncheck Accept cookies from sites (and then use the Cookie Monster add-on to manage cookies). Occasionally I find that the preference has returned to Remember History. I can detect no pattern to when this happens. It usually happens during a session (ie I have not shut Firefox down). It is possible that it happens after the computer has been in sleep mode, but it certain does not happen whenever it is put in sleep mode. Sometimes there may be a couple of weeks between incidents. As I only become aware of it by paying close attention to what Cookie Monster is reporting as the default cookie setting, I am never sure exactly how long it has been before I notice it, though I try to pay attention nowadays.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

Privacy options will not allow me to choose "use custom history" settings" - it always reverts back to "remember history"

A website states "There is a problem with your bookmark/favorite or cookie settings" - then provides steps in Firefox to correct the problem, i.e. set history to accept cookies and accept third-party cookies. I select "use custom history", select the proper cookie settings, click OK, and close the window. However, when I re-open the options window it's always reset to "remember history" and I can't access the website I want to use.

Choosing the "Use custom settings for history" setting doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings. 
Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made. 
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History". 
Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a check mark.

Enter the Customer number in the field "Sold-to-party".
Select the option as "Open Sales Orders".
Execute.All the open sales orders will be displayed.

Is anyone else sick of having to use 'about:config' for custom history settings??? Or hoping that Firefox will keep your history after your next update???

I remember the days when Firefox was really customizable...
You could actually select how far back FF would remember your history...I used to have nearly two years' worth of history...before the 'new and improved' system of 'rapid releases', that is.
It's not the release cycle that p****s me off, it's the little surprises that you discover later. Some of you know what I mean, the ones that the developers don't tell you about...the ones that all of the bug fixes, security patches and new features are supposed to make us overlook or forget the things that have been removed or don't work right...
Sorry, but I'm getting tired of wondering what in the hell is going to go wrong next...

Reading the blog that particular change seems to have been to reduce history loss for those with lots of bookmarks.

Customer payment history record error

I have a query related to the customer payment history record.
Actually in customer master data I have not click in payment history record check box field, thats why system not calculated customer payment history in report S_ALR_87012177 and table KNB4. But after when i click on payment history recor , then when I create a invoice and payment system calculate the data in customer payment history record.and table.
My query is How to display the data in payment history reocrd which was enetered before the before the check box payment history was enable in customer master

Firefox 3.6.16 won't keep the "custom settings for history", thus causing page-load issues - any clue how to make it "stick"?

Ever since I updated to Firefox 3.6.x I am getting constant page-load errors on apps in Facebook. I've cleared the history, the cache, cookies... and will literally set it for the "custom history settings" in my tools/options/privacy tab, reload the page, it's fine. I go to another page and come back to the app (same window) and get the error message again. Back to tools/options/privacy and "Remember History" is showing, rather than the custom settings. This is happening incessantly.

I also have this problem and it just started in the last week or so. It seems to be dependent on my home network and the problem only exists with firefox. I have used chrome and IE8 with no issues. I can verify tomorrow that it only exists in my network but one thing I was able to test is that the problem exists even on my linux boot. I am totally dumbfounded with this problem and I can't find anything that will allow the gmail page to load. All other pages I have tried load fine, all be it a little slower than normal but they load. If anyone knows of a difference between firefox and all other browsers on how it goes through the router I would appreciate the info cause I don't know of any differences.

I cannot get Options to accept change to 'use custom settings in history', it only accepts other 2 choices.

I can't log in to sites that require cookies saved. I followed instructions to set tools: options to use custom history option. If I hit 'okay', it doesn't keep it set to this choice. If I set it to 'Remember history' or 'Never remember history', it keeps those choices. I started in Safe Mode with add-ons disabled and nothing changed. Please help, I don't want to use Internet Explorer.

Firefox shows the "(Never) Remember history" setting if all the history and cookie setting are the default.
Make at least one change to the default setting if you want "Use custom settings for history" to stay selected.
Otherwise Firefox will revert to "(Never) Remember history" if you return to the Privacy tab.
The choice "Use custom settings for history" will stay selected as long as not all settings are the default to make you aware that you made changes.
You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History" 
In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and features like visited links are disabled and not showing. 
Also all cookies are session cookies and removed if you end that Private Browsing session or close Firefox.

I would like to know in case posible, the drawbacks of the folloing situation:
We have 2 plants, 1 selling plant (Plant1)in company code and 1 shipping plant (Plant2) in anothr company code working inside interconmpay + consignment process, plant 2 ships directly to cutomer consignment of plant 1´s customer (no phisical recepction in plant 1)
Customer place a Consignment fill up order in plant 1
Plant 1 place a PO for qtys needd to plant 2 as the consignment fill up order is intrcompany as well so PO is generated
Plant 2 generates a New Consignment Fill Up order with sold to as plant 1 and ship to customer consignment door
Plant 2 makes PGI and place stock in cutomer consignment line (ship to) and plant1 (sold to)
Plant 2 generates an intercompany invoice to plant 1
Customer will invoice to plant 1 base on consumption
So no reception is needed in plant 1
Is it posible this scenario?

Hi Jacopo,
Are you using the IC? We implemented the agent inbox to go look at past ERP sales orders. Can be configured to get this data.
Of course there are many ways to skin a cat, so you could use activity categories or something similiar. So that every activity linked to the ERP sales order has the same category you can easily see this in the customer history.
Another idea maybe extending the worklist used in salespro. Haven't used this so unsure.

How can I view history on my computer for more than 1 day

You can custom edit your history settings in the privacy tab from the options window.
In top left click Firefox > Options, click on the privacy tab. Reference the following article which explains how & where to load/use custom history settings, you'll want to scroll down halfway in the article to the History section & then locate where it tells you how to use 'Custom Settings for Firefox History"

When I go to "Show All History" there's nothing there and I don't know what happened. Help?

When I click on "Show All History," the normal window appears. However, there's nothing there and the only thing in the sidebar on the left is "Bookmarks." I looked under my preferences and saw that I had custom history settings set, and though I couldn't find anything that made sense as to why my history isn't showing it up, I changed it back to the generic "Remember history." However it's still not showing any of my history. I'm confused.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Production code should have some comments in it. Pretend that someone (someone you like) has to take over your job without any training on you code. What would that person find useful?
Instead of a one-row, one column table just to hold the next scheduled deleteHistoryDate, consider having a multi-row, 2-column table that also serves as a log of when deletions were actually done. You could have a scheduledDate column that is entered when the job is schduled, and a completedDate column that is originally NULL, but filled in when the job completes. The firest query would be:
SELECT scheduledDate
INTO dateOfDeletion
FROM historyDeletionDate
WHERE completedDate IS NULL;

History of changing of Work Instructions

About using of Work Instructions during tracking of SFCs there is a history available.
What we need is to have history about creating and changing of Work Instructions. At least we have to know who has created or changed when which Work Instruction. I did not find anything in SAP ME and also not in database about history of changing of Work Instructions.
Is there really nothing in place? When we are audited by a customer history of Work Instructions is a typical question.

There is Audit Log functionality in ME. The changes to objects definitions are stored in AL_ tables in ODS. There is also audit log report for this purpose:
