Customer invoice (FB70)

Hi
can any one clear me
While posting customer invoice (FB70) why system asks for G/L account? As per accounting rules customer is debited and Customer reconciliation a/c is credited that ends double entry book keeping rule.  Why one more G/L account on top of Recon a/c, which is posted automatically

Entry gets posted to Customer a/c through reconciliation account. You have to give a GL a/c for revenue.
Your entry would be 
Customer (Reconciliation a/c)    Dr
To Revenue                      Cr
Reconciliation is a fictious entry so you cannot consider as an entry to be entered by the user. This rule is derived from the fact that 'we cannot enter/post directly to RECON account'. 
That is why system needs a GL account to make the account balance as zero.  Manual entry could be:
Customer a/c Dr
To Domestic Sales a/c
(Sales invoiced posted)
Recon entry is automatically made once you post this entry since you have configured your RECON in the IMG.

    Whether tax rates are defined for your country.
    Please check the configuration FTXP.
    Make sure you are having the account determination for tax codes.

  • Posting Customer Invoice using FB70

    Hi Experts,
    While posting customer invoice (FB70) for the customer having withholding tax information defined, I am able to simulate the transaction successfully but not able to post it.I can see the TDS transaction executed.But, the post icon symbol is inactive. It displays " error messages still exist" . When i checked the error log it displayed Message number 047 in the application area F5A.
    Please help me

    In accounting document posting - system not shows any specific error log.
    In your case, the error might be any of the below :
    - check whether the balance of the all line items is zero
    - check whether the WHT calculation is correct
    - check whether the customer invioce amount is entered

  • Customizing one time customer invoice

    Hi guys,
    I wonder if anybody can help me, please.
    I have to customize the FI invoice process.
    It´s to invoice one-time customers, when they buy an item in the shop. It´s to be able to print an invoice, and charge the right cost-center and accounts, each time a customer buys an item.
    I have to customize the FI invoices.
    Some of my friend adviced me to use transaction FB70 or F-22. And others told me to do through SPRO.
    Can anybody give me any guidance where to start from? And which transactions to use, please?

    Hello,
    FB70 or F-22 is for the purpose of customer invoice
    FB70 is with new screen
    F-22 is with posting key
    However, the purpose is one and the same.
    For regular as well as one time vendor you will have same transaction code.
    Some of the configurations for One time customer Invoice.
    1. Make sure you have created customer groups for one time customers. OBD2 - Check One time Vendor Check Box
    2. You must have created some GL accounts for offsetting postings - FS00
    3. Create number ranges for customers XDN1
    4. Assign customer number ranges to Customer Account Group OBAR
    5. Define number ranges for accounting documents FBN1
    These are few minimum settings.

    I have posted a customer invoice (FB70)  using BAPI - BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST. The document number has been generated. But when i am checking the document in FB03, FBL3N, FBL5N, I am unable to find the document. In FB03, the below message is showing.
    Document 106640041 2000 does not exist in fiscal year 2009
    Message no. F5A397
    System Response
    The required document either does not exist in the fiscal year or is still being posted.
    When the document is read, archived documents are also considered.----

    Did you execute BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT after BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST FM? If you don't run COMMIT FM system doesn't generate line items to database table.

  • FB70 Customer Invoice

    Hello Experts,
    I have a question regarding the Tcode FB70. We post customer invoice using FB70 and when we do FB70, there appears a open item in FBL5N customer line item display. Can some one explain me the options Overdue, Due and Not due in the field Due date?
    Take for example Net60 as payment terms and can someone demonstrate when we will get those three options?

    Hi,
    Example: Customer Invoice posted on 01/01/2008 with payment terms Net 60. It means the customer have 60 days of time from the baseline date.
    Baseline date is defined in the payment terms which could be posting date, document date or entry date.
    In this example we take baseline date as posting date which is 01/01/2008
    Not due  01/01/08  +  59 days = 28/02/2008   (still have 1 more day) so until 28th of Feb it is shown as Not Due
    Due 01/01/08  +  60 days = 29/02/2008    (to be paid on this day) so on 29th of Feb it is shown as Due
    Over Due Any day after 29/02/2008
    Until the item is paid it appears as open item in red color circle and once paid, it will become cleared item with green color box

    Could anyone tell me how to obtain a certain house bank in the customer invoice posted by FB70?
    I've made a test. I've filled an house bank in master data of the customer (company data). When I've posted the invoice by FB70, i've expected finding it in the item.... instead it wasn't there...

    Dear,
    The House bank will not reflect in customer invoice, it is used in outgoing or incoming payments.

    That is quite helpful but we are wondering if there is a way that the number of copies can be changed once so that the invoice would be printed 3 times always. At the moment we use only FB12 and F.61 to print. If we add another step (SP02) then it would be a bit time consuming.
    Any other ideas?

    i have done configuration in development 400 and its working proprely
    means fb70 if i post document i need generate through F.62
    but in dev 200 golden client also i have done same configurations but its giving error.error is as follows
    Variant SAPCI does not exist
    Message no. DB612
    Diagnosis
    You selected variant SAPCI for program ZACCRFKORD50.
    This variant does not exist.
    Procedure
    Correct the entry.
    pls give the possible reasons as possible

    Progrma name: ZACCRFKORD50
    Execute to go to selection screen,
    Create selection entries as in 400 with same values, save as variant SAPCI.
    Now u should be fine.

    Please maintain the number range for Document type in following IMG
    SPRO > Financial Accounting (New) > Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) > Document > Document Number Ranges > Documents in Entry View > Define Document Number Ranges for Entry View
    Please maintain the number range 18 for fiscal year 2008.

  • Duplicate customer invoice through Tcode FB70

    Hello all,
    How can I control the duplication of customer invoices posted in FI via FB70.
    My customer's auditors consider a risk if the system lets them post 2 invoices for customers with the same Reference number. 
    How it can be checked if the reference number already exists in table BKPF for another document?
    I have found out that it would be possible to use a validation? But I have no idea how it should look like?
    Can anybody help me with this or give me some hints?

    Hi,
    You need to write a validation for the same.
    That way you can give a warning message or a error message so that a duplicate invoice is stopped from posting..

  • How to payment a little for a customer invoice.

    Hi all !
    I have a request, help me please !
    I enter a customer invoice with value 1000 (USD) from SAP T-Code FB70.
    When customer payment a little ( 400 USD ) for this invoice, I will post incoming invoice with value 400 USD from T-Code F-28.
    If value of customer invoice is not identical value of payment invoice, system will have 2 open item with value 1000USD and -400USD.
    I want docment 1000 USD will split to 2 line item with value of line item 1 is 400 USD and value of line item 2 is 600 USD.
    Line item 1 will clear with  payment invoice and system will exist a open item with value 600 USD.
    If you have solution for this request, help me, please !

    By using residual clearing 400 usd is adjusted with 1000 usd. So one cleared line item is created.
    For 600 usd new open item is generated and becomes due for payment
